Pseudomonas taiwanensis capable of degrading polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and application thereof

By isolating *Pseudomonas taiwanensis* SYSU M80001 from the Pearl River Estuary, the problem of low degradation efficiency of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in high-salinity environments has been solved, achieving efficient degradation of phenanthrene and other PAHs, making it particularly suitable for pollution remediation in high-salinity environments such as estuaries.

The degradation efficiency of the strain to 100 mg / L phenanthrene is 88%, and the strain can tolerate high-concentration phenanthrene and has high-efficiency degradation capacity to high-concentration phenanthrene. Meanwhile, the strain also has good salt tolerance, and can tolerate 5% salinity at most, and has good phenanthrene degradation performance under 0-4% salinity, and the phenanthrene degradation efficiency under 3% salinity is the highest. In addition, the strain also has degradation potential to naphthalene, anthracene and other polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. It is shown that the Pseudomonas taiwanensis SYSU M80001 screened in the application can efficiently degrade polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, and is especially suitable for PAHs pollution remediation in high-salinity environments such as estuaries.
