The hierarchical pore hollow structure of the catalyst can significantly promote diffusion and enrichment of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon molecules of different sizes, and rich pyridine nitrogen sites have strong adsorption and activation capabilities on polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon and hydrogen molecules.

Process synthesizing sustainable aviation fuel compositions

The invention is related to a process for synthesizing a sustainable aviation fuel composition. The process comprises providing a reaction mixture comprising a first compound that is at least one of mevalonolactone, mevalonic acid, mevalonate salt, dehydromevalonic acid, dehydromevalonate salt, dehydromevalonolactone or combinations thereof. The process then involves converting the first compound in the reaction mixture to provide a first intermediate comprising isoprene. Then, the isoprene in the first intermediate is reacted in the presence of a first heat transfer agent to provide a second intermediate comprising terpenes. Finally, the second intermediate is allowed to react in the presence of a second heat transfer agent, or alternatively in neat conditions, and optionally in presence of a catalyst to provide the sustainable fuel composition. The sustainable aviation fuel composition made available from the process of the invention is found to comprise monocyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (MAHs) at useful concentration ranges (along with cycloalkanes) while they are substantially devoid of Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs).

A process for upgrading a pyrolysis oil comprising contacting a pyrolysis oil feed with hydrogen in a first fixed bed reactor in the presence of a mixed metal oxide catalyst wherein: the pyrolysis oil feed comprises a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon compound comprising greater than or equal to 16 carbon atoms; and contacting the pyrolytic oil feedstock with hydrogen in the presence of a mixed metal oxide catalyst in a first fixed bed reactor to convert at least a portion of the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon compounds in the pyrolytic oil feedstock into bicyclic aromatic hydrocarbon compounds, tricyclic aromatic hydrocarbon compounds, or both, passing the intermediate stream comprising the bicyclic aromatic compound, the tricyclic aromatic compound, or both to a second fixed bed reactor downstream of the first fixed bed reactor; and contacting the intermediate stream with hydrogen in the presence of a mesoporous supported metal catalyst in a second fixed bed reactor.

The smoke adsorption material comprises tetraazacalix[2]aromatic[2]triazine supported on a covalent organic framework. It exhibits good trapping effect on various components in cigarette smoke, especially polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and aromatic amines in very low concentrations. Furthermore, it has a stable structure, the tetraazacalix[2]aromatic[2]triazine is not easily detached, and it has a long service life. When this material is made into a smoke trapping sheet for the detection of volatile components in cigarette smoke, it can fundamentally reduce the extraction loss of smoke components and improve the final detection range and accuracy.

According to the method provided by the invention, C3-C5 is used as an anti-solvent, the selectivity is strong, the light aromatic hydrocarbon in the extraction liquid can be effectively subjected to back extraction, the yield of the raffinate oil is improved, and meanwhile, the content of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon in the raffinate oil is not increased. The obtained raffinate oil can be used as environment-friendly aromatic rubber oil, and the extract oil can be used as polycyclic aromatic oil for blending asphalt products or low-sulfur ship fuel.
