This invention relates to a high-efficiency nitrogen and phosphorus removal composite constructed wetland system based on short-cut nitrification-anaerobic ammonium oxidation (ATAO) co-embedded particles. The system comprises a surface flow constructed wetland, a vertical subsurface flow constructed wetland, an aeration pond, and a horizontal subsurface flow constructed wetland arranged sequentially along the water flow direction. The horizontal subsurface flow constructed wetland includes a soil layer and a layer of short-cut nitrification-anaerobic ammonium oxidation co-embedded particle filler. The main body of the composite constructed wetland system is submerged in the river channel, forming a closed corridor container through the constructed wetlands and the ecological pond frame, making full use of previously unusable space and achieving space saving. Compared with existing technologies, this invention overcomes the shortcomings of existing constructed wetlands, such as large land area, low nitrogen and phosphorus removal efficiency, and significant susceptibility to natural environmental influences. It has stronger processing capacity and better adaptability, achieving low-carbon, energy-saving, green, and highly efficient nitrogen and phosphorus removal.
