Drought tolerance analysis shows that after drought stress treatment, compared with a wild type, the content of malonaldehyde, superoxide anions and hydrogen peroxide of the MaPUB21 silent strain is remarkably reduced, and the content of proline and the activity of peroxidase are remarkably improved. The result shows that the drought tolerance of the plant can be effectively improved by silencing the MaPUB21 gene. The gene provided by the invention provides a new resource for plant stress-resistant molecular breeding, and is of great significance for cultivating drought-resistant plants and improving the utilization rate of drought land.
