Abstract

This invention provides an automatic feeding and cutting device and method for lucky bamboo. The device includes a feeding component, a vision detection component, a cutting component, and a controller. The feeding component includes a rotating disk, a fixed cam, a feeding tube, and a connecting frame. The device uses the rotating disk to drive the feeding tube to rotate. During the feeding process, the fixed cam causes the feeding tube to be tilted, allowing the lucky bamboo in the feeding tube to be conveyed to the output end of the feeding tube under the action of gravity. The vision detection component determines the cutting position by detecting the position of the first node at the end of the lucky bamboo at the head-removing station. The cutting component at the head-removing station can cut the lucky bamboo at the cutting position to remove excess bamboo ends. The cutting component at the segmenting station can cut the lucky bamboo again to cut bamboo segments of a fixed length. This device can realize automatic feeding and automatic segment cutting of lucky bamboo with high segment cutting efficiency.
