Technical Field

[0003] The following relates to wireless communications, including in-device coexistence (IDC) interference parameters. Background Art

[0004] Wireless communication systems are widely deployed to provide various types of communication content, such as voice, video, packet data, messaging, broadcasting, and the like. These systems may be able to support communication with multiple users by sharing available system resources (e.g., time, frequency, and power). Examples of such multiple access systems include fourth generation (4G) systems (such as long term evolution (LTE) systems, advanced LTE (LTE-A) systems, or LTE-A Pro systems) and fifth generation (5G) systems (which may be referred to as new radio (NR) systems). [0057] A user equipment (UE) may include multiple transceivers of different radio access technologies (RATs) (e.g., New Radio (NR), Long Term Evolution (LTE), Wi-Fi). Due to the size of the UE, the transceivers of the UE may be positioned relatively close together, such that use of the transceivers may cause in-device coexistence (IDC) interference at the UE when operating using different RATs. The IDC interference may result in reduced signal quality and potential data loss. In some examples, the UE may detect the IDC and provide information about the IDC to a network entity. The network entity may use the information to adjust, modify, or determine operating parameters of the UE, which may limit radio resource usage in the time domain, frequency domain, or both to reduce or avoid the IDC interference.

[0058] However, in some examples, interference mitigation techniques in the time domain or the frequency domain may fail to reduce the IDC interference or may cause other system inefficiencies. For example, in the frequency domain, the network entity may avoid scheduling the entire frequency resource (e.g., the entire carrier, bandwidth portion (BWP), or physical resource block (PRB)) even if only a portion of the frequency resource experiences IDC interference, which may result in spectrum waste and overload of other frequency resources in use. In addition, switching frequencies may involve overhead, making the interference mitigation techniques in the frequency domain effective for a small amount of time. Alternatively, if the UE fails to specify the frequencies to which the network entity is to apply time domain interference mitigation techniques, the network entity may apply these techniques to the entire frequency band, which may be inefficient and result in a waste of resources.

[0059] The technical support described herein indicates an IDC interference parameter corresponding to a pattern of IDC interference, which can enable a network entity to reduce the impact of the IDC interference on the communication between the UE and the network entity. In some examples, the UE may send UE assistance information (UAI), which indicates the type of IDC interference (e.g., intermodulation between nodes), the interference pattern associated with the interference, and a set of interference parameters describing the interference pattern in the time domain, the frequency domain, or both. The network entity may use the information included in the UAI to determine how to adapt to the IDC interference while maintaining signaling throughput. In some examples, the network entity may send a message to the UE, which indicates a set of operating parameters to be used by the UE during a time period, which is based on the type of IDC interference, the interference pattern, and the interference parameter. The UE can then use these operating parameters to communicate with the network entity during the time period. That is, the network entity may indicate how the UE will operate during the time period (e.g., a time period in which IDC interference may occur) to mitigate the IDC interference and its impact on the communication between the UE and the network entity.

[0060] Aspects of the disclosure are first described in the context of a wireless communication system. Aspects of the disclosure are then described in the context of a Wi-Fi transmit mode, a Bluetooth transmit mode, and a process flow. Aspects of the disclosure are further illustrated by and described with reference to apparatus diagrams, system diagrams, and flow diagrams related to IDC interference parameters.

[0061] Figure 1 An example of a wireless communication system 100 supporting IDC interference parameters according to one or more aspects of the present disclosure is illustrated. The wireless communication system 100 may include one or more network entities 105, one or more UEs 115, and a core network 130. In some examples, the wireless communication system 100 may be an LTE network, an Advanced LTE (LTE-A) network, an LTE-A Pro network, an NR network, or a network operating according to other systems and radio technologies (including future systems and radio technologies not explicitly mentioned herein).

[0062] The network entities 105 may be dispersed throughout a geographic area to form the wireless communication system 100 and may include devices in different forms or with different capabilities. In various examples, the network entities 105 may be referred to as network elements, mobility elements, radio access network (RAN) nodes, or network equipment, etc. In some examples, the network entities 105 and the UE 115 may communicate wirelessly via one or more communication links 125 (e.g., radio frequency (RF) access links). For example, the network entity 105 may support a coverage area 110 (e.g., a geographic coverage area) within which the UE 115 and the network entity 105 may establish one or more communication links 125. The coverage area 110 may be an example of a geographic area within which the network entity 105 and the UE 115 may support signal communications according to one or more radio access technologies (RATs).

[0063] The UEs 115 may be dispersed throughout the coverage area 110 of the wireless communication system 100, and each UE 115 may be stationary or mobile or both stationary and mobile at different times. The UEs 115 may be devices that take different form factors or have different capabilities. Figure 1 Some example UEs 115 are illustrated in FIG. 1. The UEs 115 described herein may be capable of supporting communication with various types of devices, such as Figure 1 Communicate with other UEs 115 or network entities 105) as shown.

[0064] As described herein, a node of the wireless communication system 100 (which may be referred to as a network node or a wireless node) may be a network entity 105 (e.g., any network entity described herein), a UE 115 (e.g., any UE described herein), a network controller, an apparatus, a device, a computing system, one or more components, or another suitable processing entity configured to perform any of the techniques described herein. For example, the node may be a UE 115. As another example, the node may be a network entity 105. As another example, a first node may be configured to communicate with a second node or a third node. In one aspect of this example, the first node may be a UE 115, the second node may be a network entity 105, and the third node may be a UE 115. In another aspect of this example, the first node may be a UE 115, the second node may be a network entity 105, and the third node may be a network entity 105. Similarly, reference to UE 115, network entity 105, apparatus, device, or computing system, etc. may include disclosure of UE 115, network entity 105, apparatus, device, or computing system, etc. as a node. For example, a disclosure that UE 115 is configured to receive information from network entity 105 also discloses that the first node is configured to receive information from a second node.

[0065] In some examples, the network entities 105 may communicate with the core network 130, or with each other, or both. For example, the network entities 105 may communicate with the core network 130 via one or more backhaul communication links 120 (e.g., according to S1, N2, N3, or other interface protocols). In some examples, the network entities 105 may communicate with each other via the backhaul communication links 120 (e.g., according to X2, Xn, or other interface protocols) directly (e.g., directly between the network entities 105) or indirectly (e.g., via the core network 130). In some examples, the network entities 105 may communicate with each other via the midhaul communication links 162 (e.g., according to the midhaul interface protocol) or the fronthaul communication links 168 (e.g., according to the fronthaul interface protocol) or any combination thereof. The backhaul communication links 120, the midhaul communication links 162, or the fronthaul communication links 168 may be or include one or more wired links (e.g., electrical links, optical fiber links), one or more wireless links (e.g., radio links, wireless optical links), etc. or various combinations thereof. UE 115 may communicate with core network 130 via communication link 155 .

In some examples, the network entity 105 (e.g., a base station 140) may be implemented in an aggregated (e.g., monolithic, stand-alone) base station architecture, which may be configured to utilize a protocol stack physically or logically integrated within a single network entity 105 (e.g., a single RAN node, such as a base station 140).

[0067] In some examples, the network entity 105 may be implemented in a disaggregated architecture (e.g., a disaggregated base station architecture, a disaggregated RAN architecture) that may be configured to utilize a protocol stack that is physically or logically distributed between two or more network entities 105, such as an integrated access backhaul (IAB) network, an open RAN (O-RAN) (e.g., a network configuration sponsored by the O-RAN Alliance), or a virtualized RAN (vRAN) (e.g., a cloud RAN (C-RAN)). For example, the network entity 105 may include one or more of the following: a central unit (CU) 160, a distributed unit (DU) 165, a radio unit (RU) 170, a RAN intelligent controller (RIC) 175 (e.g., a near real-time RIC (near RT RIC), a non-real-time RIC (non-RT RIC)), a service management and orchestration (SMO) 180 system, or any combination thereof. The RU 170 may also be referred to as a radio head, a smart radio head, a remote radio head (RRH), a remote radio unit (RRU), or a transmit receive point (TRP). One or more components of the network entity 105 in the decomposed RAN architecture may be co-located, or one or more components of the network entity 105 may be located in distributed locations (e.g., separate physical locations). In some examples, one or more network entities 105 of the decomposed RAN architecture may be implemented as virtual units (e.g., virtual CU (VCU), virtual DU (VDU), virtual RU (VRU)).

[0068] The functional split between CU 160, DU 165, and RU 170 is flexible and may support different functionalities depending on which functions (e.g., network layer functions, protocol layer functions, baseband functions, RF functions, and any combination thereof) are performed at CU 160, DU 165, or RU 170. For example, a functional split of a protocol stack may be employed between CU 160 and DU 165 such that CU 160 may support one or more layers of a protocol stack and DU 165 may support one or more different layers of a protocol stack. In some examples, CU 160 may host higher protocol layer (e.g., layer 3 (L3), layer 2 (L2)) functionality and signaling (e.g., radio resource control (RRC), service data adaptation protocol (SDAP), packet data convergence protocol (PDCP)). The CU 160 may be connected to one or more DUs 165 or RUs 170, and the one or more DUs 165 or RUs 170 may host lower protocol layers, such as layer 1 (L1) (e.g., physical (PHY) layer) or L2 (e.g., radio link control (RLC) layer, medium access control (MAC) layer) functionality and signaling, and may each be at least partially controlled by the CU 160. Additionally or alternatively, a functional split of the protocol stack may be employed between the DU 165 and the RU 170, such that the DU 165 may support one or more layers of the protocol stack, and the RU 170 may support one or more different layers of the protocol stack. The DU 165 may support one or more different cells (e.g., via one or more RUs 170). In some cases, the functional split between CU 160 and DU 165 or between DU 165 and RU 170 may be within the protocol layer (e.g., some functions of the protocol layer may be performed by one of CU 160, DU 165, or RU 170, while other functions of the protocol layer are performed by a different one of CU 160, DU 165, or RU 170). CU 160 may be further functionally split into CU control plane (CU-CP) and CU user plane (CU-UP) functions. CU 160 may be connected to one or more DUs 165 via midhaul communication links 162 (e.g., F1, F1-c, F1-u), and DU 165 may be connected to one or more RUs 170 via fronthaul communication links 168 (e.g., open fronthaul (FH) interface). In some examples, midhaul communication link 162 or fronthaul communication link 168 may be implemented based on an interface (e.g., a channel) between layers of a protocol stack supported by respective network entities 105 that communicate via such communication links.

[0069] In some wireless communication systems (e.g., wireless communication system 100), infrastructure and spectrum resources for radio access may support wireless backhaul link capabilities to supplement wired backhaul connections, thereby providing an IAB network architecture (e.g., to core network 130). In some cases, in an IAB network, one or more network entities 105 (e.g., IAB nodes 104) may be partially controlled by each other. One or more IAB nodes 104 may be referred to as donor entities or IAB donors. One or more DUs 165 or one or more RUs 170 may be controlled in part by one or more CUs 160 associated with a donor network entity 105 (e.g., donor base station 140). One or more donor network entities 105 (e.g., IAB donors) may communicate with one or more additional network entities 105 (e.g., IAB nodes 104) via supported access and backhaul links (e.g., backhaul communication links 120). The IAB node 104 may include an IAB mobile terminal (IAB-MT) controlled (e.g., scheduled) by a coupled IAB donor's DU 165. The IAB-MT may include an independent set of antennas for relaying communications with the UE 115, or may share the same antennas of the IAB node 104 (e.g., of the RU 170) for access via the DU 165 of the IAB node 104 (e.g., referred to as a virtual IAB-MT (vIAB-MT)). In some examples, the IAB node 104 may include a DU 165 that supports communication links with additional entities (e.g., IAB node 104, UE 115) within a relay chain or configuration (e.g., downstream) of the access network. In such cases, one or more components of the decomposed RAN architecture (e.g., one or more IAB nodes 104 or components of the IAB node 104) may be configured to operate according to the techniques described herein.

[0070] For example, an access network (AN) or RAN may include an access node (e.g., an IAB donor), communications between an IAB node 104, and one or more UEs 115. The IAB donor may facilitate a connection between the core network 130 and the AN (e.g., via a wired or wireless connection to the core network 130). That is, the IAB donor may refer to a RAN node having a wired or wireless connection to the core network 130. The IAB donor may include a CU 160 and at least one DU 165 (e.g., and RU 170), in which case the CU 160 may communicate with the core network 130 via an interface (e.g., a backhaul link). The IAB donor and the IAB node 104 may communicate via an F1 interface according to a protocol that defines signaling messages (e.g., an F1 AP protocol). Additionally or alternatively, CU 160 may communicate with the core network via an interface (which may be an example of a portion of a backhaul link) and may communicate with other CUs 160 (e.g., CUs 160 associated with alternative IAB donors) via an Xn-C interface (which may be an example of a portion of a backhaul link).

[0071] An IAB node 104 may refer to a RAN node that provides IAB functionality (e.g., access for UE 115, wireless self-backhaul capabilities, etc.). DU 165 may act as a distributed scheduling node toward child nodes associated with IAB node 104, and IAB-MT may act as a scheduled node toward a parent node associated with IAB node 104. That is, an IAB donor may be referred to as a parent node that communicates with one or more child nodes (e.g., an IAB donor may relay for UE transmissions through one or more other IAB nodes 104). Additionally or alternatively, depending on the relay chain or configuration of the AN, an IAB node 104 may also be referred to as a parent node or child node of other IAB nodes 104. Thus, the IAB-MT entity of the IAB node 104 may provide a Uu interface for the child IAB node 104 to receive signaling from the parent IAB node 104, and a DU interface (eg, DU 165) may provide a Uu interface for the parent IAB node 104 to signal the child IAB node 104 or the UE 115.

[0072] For example, the IAB node 104 may be referred to as a parent node supporting communications for a child IAB node or as a child node associated with an IAB donor, or both. The IAB donor may include a CU 160 having a wired or wireless connection (e.g., backhaul communication link 120) to the core network 130, and may act as a parent node of the IAB node 104. For example, the DU 165 of the IAB donor may relay transmissions to the UE 115 via the IAB node 104, or may directly signal the transmissions to the UE 115, or both. The CU 160 of the IAB donor may signal the establishment of a communication link to the IAB node 104 via the F1 interface, and the IAB node 104 may schedule transmissions (e.g., transmissions relayed from the IAB donor to the UE 115) via the DU 165. That is, data may be relayed to and from the IAB node 104 via signaling via the NR Uu interface of the MT to the IAB node 104. Communications with the IAB node 104 may be scheduled by the DU 165 of the IAB donor, and communications with the IAB node 104 may be scheduled by the DU 165 of the IAB node 104 .

[0073] Where the techniques described herein are applied in the context of a decomposed RAN architecture, one or more components of the decomposed RAN architecture may be configured to support the IDC interference parameters as described herein. For example, some operations described as being performed by a UE 115 or a network entity 105 (e.g., a base station 140) may additionally or alternatively be performed by one or more components of the decomposed RAN architecture (e.g., an IAB node 104, a DU 165, a CU 160, a RU 170, a RIC 175, a SMO 180).

[0074] UE 115 may include or may be referred to as a mobile device, a wireless device, a remote device, a handheld device or a subscriber device, or some other suitable term, where a "device" may also be referred to as a unit, a station, a terminal or a client, etc. UE 115 may also include or may be referred to as a personal electronic device, such as a cellular phone, a personal digital assistant (PDA), a tablet computer, a laptop computer, or a personal computer. In some examples, UE 115 may include or may be referred to as a wireless local loop (WLL) station, an Internet of Things (IoT) device, an Internet of Everything (IoE) device, or a machine type communication (MTC) device, etc., which may be implemented in various objects such as appliances or vehicles, meters, etc.

[0075] The UE 115 described herein may be capable of communicating with various types of devices, such as other UEs 115, which may sometimes act as relays, as well as network entities 105 and network equipment including macro eNBs or gNBs, small cell eNBs or gNBs, or relay base stations, etc. Figure 1shown.

[0076] The UE 115 and the network entity 105 may wirelessly communicate with each other via one or more communication links 125 (e.g., access links) using resources associated with one or more carriers. The term "carrier" may refer to a set of RF spectrum resources having a physical layer structure defined for supporting the communication link 125. For example, a carrier for the communication link 125 may include a portion (e.g., BWP) of an RF spectrum band that operates according to one or more physical layer channels for a given radio access technology (RAT) (e.g., LTE, LTE-A, LTE-A Pro, NR). Each physical layer channel may carry acquisition signaling (e.g., synchronization signals, system information), control signaling for coordinating carrier operations, user data, or other signaling. The wireless communication system 100 may use carrier aggregation (CA) or multi-carrier operation to support communication with the UE 115. The UE 115 may be configured to have multiple downlink component carriers and one or more uplink component carriers according to the CA configuration. CA may be used with both frequency division duplex (FDD) and time division duplex (TDD) component carriers. Communication between the network entity 105 and other devices may refer to communication between these devices and any part (e.g., entity, sub-entity) of the network entity 105. For example, the terms "send", "receive", or "communicate" when referring to the network entity 105 may refer to any part of the network entity 105 (e.g., base station 140, CU 160, DU 165, RU 170) of the RAN communicating with another device (e.g., directly or via one or more other network entities 105).

[0077] In some examples, such as in a CA configuration, a carrier may also have acquisition signaling or control signaling that coordinates the operation of other carriers. A carrier may be associated with a frequency channel (e.g., an Evolved Universal Mobile Telecommunications System Terrestrial Radio Access (E-UTRA) Absolute RF Channel Number (EARFCN)) and may be identified according to a channel raster for discovery by UE 115. A carrier may operate in a standalone mode, in which case initial acquisition and connection may be made by UE 115 via the carrier, or a carrier may operate in a non-standalone mode, in which case a different carrier (e.g., of the same or different RAT) is used to anchor the connection.

[0078] The communication link 125 shown in the wireless communication system 100 may include downlink transmissions (e.g., forward link transmissions) from the network entity 105 to the UE 115, uplink transmissions (e.g., return link transmissions) from the UE 115 to the network entity 105, or both, as well as other transmission configurations. A carrier may carry downlink communications or uplink communications (e.g., in FDD mode), or may be configured to carry downlink communications and uplink communications (e.g., in TDD mode).

[0079] A carrier may be associated with a particular bandwidth of the RF spectrum, and in some examples, the carrier bandwidth may be referred to as the "system bandwidth" of the carrier or wireless communication system 100. For example, the carrier bandwidth may be one of a set of bandwidths for a carrier for a particular RAT (e.g., 1.4 megahertz (MHz), 3 MHz, 5 MHz, 10 MHz, 15 MHz, 20 MHz, 40 MHz, or 80 MHz). A device of the wireless communication system 100 (e.g., a network entity 105, a UE 115, or both) may have a hardware configuration that supports communications using a particular carrier bandwidth, or may be capable of being configured to support communications using one of the carrier bandwidths in the set of carrier bandwidths. In some examples, the wireless communication system 100 may include a network entity 105 or a UE 115 that supports concurrent communications using carriers associated with multiple carrier bandwidths. In some examples, each served UE 115 may be configured to operate using a portion (e.g., a subband, a BWP) or all of the carrier bandwidth.

[0080] The signal waveform transmitted via the carrier may include multiple subcarriers (e.g., using multi-carrier modulation (MCM) techniques, such as orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) or discrete Fourier transform spread OFDM (DFT-S-OFDM)). In a system using MCM technology, a resource element may refer to a resource of one symbol period (e.g., the duration of one modulation symbol) and one subcarrier, in which case the symbol period and the subcarrier spacing may be inversely related. The number of bits carried by each resource element may depend on the modulation scheme (e.g., the order of the modulation scheme, the coding rate of the modulation scheme, or both), so that a relatively high number of resource elements (e.g., in the transmission duration) and a relatively high order modulation scheme may correspond to a relatively high rate of communication. Wireless communication resources may refer to a combination of RF spectrum resources, time resources, and spatial resources (e.g., spatial layers, beams), and the use of multiple spatial resources may increase the data rate or data integrity used for communication with UE 115.

[0081] One or more parameter sets for a carrier may be supported, and the parameter sets may include subcarrier spacing (Δf) and cyclic prefixes. A carrier may be divided into one or more BWPs with the same or different parameter sets. In some examples, a UE 115 may be configured with multiple BWPs. In some examples, a single BWP for a carrier may be active at a given time, and communications of a UE 115 may be constrained to one or more active BWPs.

[0082] The time interval for the network entity 105 or the UE 115 may be expressed in multiples of a basic time unit, which may be, for example, a sampling period T s =1 / (Δf max ·N f ) seconds, where Δf max It can represent the supported subcarrier spacing, and N f The supported discrete Fourier transform (DFT) size may be indicated. Time intervals of the communication resources may be organized according to radio frames, each having a specified duration (e.g., 10 milliseconds (ms)). Each radio frame may be identified by a system frame number (SFN) (e.g., ranging from 0 to 1023).

[0083] Each frame may include multiple consecutively numbered subframes or time slots, and each subframe or time slot may have the same duration. In some examples, the frame may be divided into subframes (e.g., in the time domain), and each subframe may be further divided into a certain number of time slots. Alternatively, each frame may include a variable number of time slots, and the number of time slots may depend on the subcarrier spacing. Each time slot may include a certain number of symbol periods (e.g., depending on the length of the cyclic prefix added before each symbol period). In some wireless communication systems 100, the time slot may be further divided into a plurality of mini-time slots associated with one or more symbols. Excluding the cyclic prefix, each symbol period may be associated with one or more (e.g., N f The duration of a symbol period may depend on the subcarrier spacing or the operating frequency band.

[0084] A subframe, a time slot, a mini-time slot, or a symbol may be the smallest scheduling unit (e.g., in the time domain) of the wireless communication system 100 and may be referred to as a transmission time interval (TTI). In some examples, the TTI duration (e.g., the number of symbol periods in a TTI) may be variable. Additionally or alternatively, the smallest scheduling unit of the wireless communication system 100 may be dynamically selected (e.g., in a burst of a shortened TTI (sTTI)).

[0085] According to various techniques, physical channels may be multiplexed using carriers for communication. For example, physical control channels and physical data channels may be multiplexed using one or more of a time division multiplexing (TDM) technique, a frequency division multiplexing (FDM) technique, or a hybrid TDM-FDM technique to signal via a downlink carrier. A control region (e.g., a control resource set (CORESET)) of a physical control channel may be defined by a set of symbol periods and may extend across a system bandwidth or a subset of a system bandwidth of a carrier. One or more control regions (e.g., CORESETs) may be configured for a set of UEs 115. For example, one or more UEs in UE115 may monitor or search a control region for control information according to one or more search space sets, and each search space set may include one or more control channel candidates in one or more aggregation levels arranged in a cascaded manner. The aggregation level of a control channel candidate may refer to the number of control channel resources (e.g., control channel elements (CCEs)) associated with coded information for a control information format having a given payload size. The search space sets may include a common search space set configured for transmitting control information to multiple UEs 115 , and a UE-specific search space set for transmitting control information to a specific UE 115 .

[0086] The network entity 105 may provide communication coverage via one or more cells (e.g., macro cells, small cells, hotspots, or other types of cells, or any combination thereof). The term "cell" may refer to a logical communication entity used to communicate with the network entity 105 (e.g., using a carrier), and may be associated with an identifier used to distinguish adjacent cells (e.g., a physical cell identifier (PCID), a virtual cell identifier (VCID), or other cell identifier). In some examples, a cell may also refer to a coverage area 110 or a portion of a coverage area 110 (e.g., a sector) on which a logical communication entity operates. Depending on various factors (such as the capabilities of the network entity 105), such cells may range from smaller areas (e.g., structures, subsets of structures) to larger areas. For example, a cell may be or include a building, a subset of a building, or an external space between or overlapping coverage areas 110, and the like.

[0087] A macro cell generally covers a relatively large geographic area (e.g., several kilometers in radius) and may allow unrestricted access to UEs 115 that have service subscriptions with a network provider that supports the macro cell. Small cells may be associated with lower power network entities 105 (e.g., lower power base stations 140) than macro cells, and small cells may operate using the same or different (e.g., licensed, unlicensed) frequency bands as macro cells. Small cells may provide unrestricted access to UEs 115 that have service subscriptions with a network provider, or may provide restricted access to UEs 115 associated with small cells (e.g., UEs 115 in a closed subscriber group (CSG), UEs 115 associated with users in a home or office). A network entity 105 may support one or more cells, and may also use one or more component carriers to support communications via one or more cells.

[0088] In some examples, a carrier may support multiple cells, and different cells may be configured according to different protocol types (e.g., MTC, narrowband IoT (NB-IoT), enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB)) that may provide access to different types of devices.

[0089] In some examples, the network entities 105 (e.g., base stations 140, RUs 170) may be mobile and thus provide communication coverage for mobile coverage areas 110. In some examples, different coverage areas 110 associated with different technologies may overlap, but the different coverage areas 110 may be supported by the same network entity 105. In some other examples, overlapping coverage areas 110 associated with different technologies may be supported by different network entities 105. The wireless communication system 100 may include, for example, a heterogeneous network in which different types of network entities 105 provide coverage for various coverage areas 110 using the same or different radio access technologies.

[0090] The wireless communication system 100 may support synchronous operation or asynchronous operation. For synchronous operation, the network entities 105 (e.g., base stations 140) may have similar frame timing, and transmissions from different network entities 105 may be approximately aligned in time. For asynchronous operation, the network entities 105 may have different frame timing, and in some examples, transmissions from different network entities 105 may not be aligned in time. The techniques described herein may be used for synchronous operation or asynchronous operation.

[0091] Some UEs 115, such as MTC or IoT devices, may be low-cost or low-complexity devices and may allow automated communication between machines (e.g., via machine-to-machine (M2M) communication). M2M communication or MTC may refer to data communication technology that allows devices to communicate with each other or with a network entity 105 (e.g., base station 140) without human intervention. In some examples, M2M communication or MTC may include communication from devices that integrate sensors or meters to measure or capture information and relay such information to a central server or application that uses the information or presents the information to a person interacting with the application. Some UEs 115 may be designed to collect information or implement automated behavior of machines or other devices. Examples of applications for MTC devices include: smart metering, inventory monitoring, water level monitoring, equipment monitoring, health care monitoring, field survival monitoring, weather and geographic event monitoring, fleet management and tracking, remote security sensing, physical access control, and transaction-based commercial charging.

[0092] Some UEs 115 may be configured to employ a reduced power consumption mode of operation, such as half-duplex communication (e.g., a mode that supports unidirectional communication via transmission or reception but does not transmit and receive concurrently). In some examples, half-duplex communication may be performed at a reduced peak rate. Other power saving techniques for UE 115 include entering a power saving deep sleep mode when not engaged in active communications, operating using limited bandwidth (e.g., according to narrowband communications), or a combination of these techniques. For example, some UEs 115 may be configured to operate using a narrowband protocol type that is associated with a defined portion or range (e.g., a set of subcarriers or resource blocks (RBs)) within a carrier, within a guard band of a carrier, or outside a carrier.

[0093] The wireless communication system 100 may be configured to support ultra-reliable communication or low-latency communication or various combinations thereof. For example, the wireless communication system 100 may be configured to support ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC). UE 115 may be designed to support ultra-reliable or low-latency or critical functions. Ultra-reliable communication may include private communication or group communication, and may be supported by one or more services (such as push-to-talk, video, or data). Support for ultra-reliable, low-latency functions may include prioritization of services, and such services may be used for public safety or general commercial applications. The terms "ultra-reliable", "low latency", and "ultra-reliable low latency" are used interchangeably herein.

[0094] In some examples, the UE 115 may be configured to support communication directly with other UEs 115 via a device-to-device (D2D) communication link 135 (e.g., according to a peer-to-peer (P2P), D2D, or sidelink protocol). In some examples, one or more UEs 115 in a group that are performing D2D communication may be within a coverage area 110 of a network entity 105 (e.g., a base station 140, a RU 170), which may support aspects of such D2D communication configured (e.g., scheduled) by the network entity 105. In some examples, one or more UEs 115 in such a group may be outside of the coverage area 110 of the network entity 105, or may otherwise be unable or not configured to receive transmissions from the network entity 105. In some examples, multiple groups of UEs 115 communicating via D2D communication may support a one-to-many (1:M) system in which each UE 115 transmits to each of the other UEs 115 in the group. In some examples, network entity 105 may facilitate scheduling of resources for D2D communications. In some other examples, D2D communications may be performed between UEs 115 without involving network entity 105.

[0095] In some systems, the D2D communication link 135 can be an example of a communication channel (such as a sidelink communication channel) between vehicles (e.g., UE 115). In some examples, the vehicles can communicate using vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications, vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communications, or some combination of these. The vehicles can signal information related to traffic conditions, signal scheduling, weather, safety, emergency situations, or any other information related to the V2X system. In some examples, vehicles in the V2X system can communicate with roadside infrastructure (such as roadside units) using vehicle-to-network (V2N) communications, or communicate with the network via one or more network nodes (e.g., network entity 105, base station 140, RU 170), or both.

[0096] The core network 130 may provide user authentication, access authorization, tracking, Internet Protocol (IP) connectivity, and other access, routing or mobility functions. The core network 130 may be an evolved packet core (EPC) or a 5G core (5GC), which may include at least one control plane entity (e.g., a mobility management entity (MME), an access and mobility management function (AMF)) for managing access and mobility and at least one user plane entity (e.g., a serving gateway (S-GW), a packet data network (PDN) gateway (P-GW) or a user plane function (UPF)) for routing packets or interconnecting to an external network. The control plane entity may manage non-access stratum (NAS) functions such as mobility, authentication, and bearer management of UE 115 served by a network entity 105 (e.g., a base station 140) associated with the core network 130. User IP packets may be delivered through the user plane entity, which may provide IP address allocation and other functions. The user plane entity may be connected to the IP service 150 of one or more network operators. IP services 150 may include access to the Internet, an intranet, an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), or packet-switched streaming services.

[0097] The wireless communication system 100 may operate using one or more frequency bands that may be in the range of 300 megahertz (MHz) to 300 gigahertz (GHz). Generally speaking, the region from 300 MHz to 3 GHz is referred to as the ultra-high frequency (UHF) region or decimeter band because the wavelength ranges from about one decimeter to one meter in length. UHF waves may be blocked or redirected by buildings and environmental features (which may be referred to as clusters), but these waves may be sufficient to penetrate structures so that macro cells provide services to UEs 115 located indoors. Communications using UHF waves may be associated with smaller antennas and shorter ranges (e.g., less than 100 kilometers) than communications using the lower frequencies and longer wavelengths of the high frequency (HF) or very high frequency (VHF) portions of the spectrum below 300 MHz.

[0098] The wireless communication system 100 may also operate using a super high frequency (SHF) region that may be within the range of 3 GHz to 30 GHz (also referred to as a centimeter band) or an extremely high frequency (EHF) region that uses a spectrum (e.g., from 30 GHz to 300 GHz) (also referred to as a millimeter band). In some examples, the wireless communication system 100 may support millimeter wave (mmW) communications between a UE 115 and a network entity 105 (e.g., a base station 140, a RU 170), and the EHF antenna of the corresponding device may be smaller and closer than the UHF antenna. In some examples, such technology may facilitate the use of antenna arrays within the device. However, the propagation of EHF transmissions may be affected by greater attenuation and a shorter range than SHF or UHF transmissions. The technology disclosed herein may be adopted across transmissions using one or more different frequency zones, and the use of frequency bands specified across these frequency zones may vary by country or regulatory agency.

[0099] The wireless communication system 100 may utilize licensed and unlicensed RF spectrum bands. For example, the wireless communication system 100 may employ licensed assisted access (LAA), LTE-unlicensed (LTE-U) RAT, or NR technology using unlicensed bands (such as, 5GHz Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM) band). When operating using unlicensed RF spectrum bands, devices such as network entity 105 and UE 115 may employ carrier sensing for conflict detection and avoidance. In some examples, operations using unlicensed bands may be based on CA configuration (e.g., LAA) in conjunction with component carriers operating using licensed bands. Operations using unlicensed spectrum may include downlink transmissions, uplink transmissions, P2P transmissions, or D2D transmissions, and the like.

[0100] The network entity 105 (e.g., base station 140, RU 170) or UE 115 may be equipped with multiple antennas that can be used to employ technologies such as transmit diversity, receive diversity, multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communications, or beamforming. The antennas of the network entity 105 or UE 115 may be located in one or more antenna arrays or antenna panels, which may support MIMO operations or transmit or receive beamforming. For example, one or more base station antennas or antenna arrays may be co-located at an antenna assembly, such as an antenna tower. In some examples, antennas or antenna arrays associated with the network entity 105 may be located at different geographical locations. The network entity 105 may include an antenna array having a set of antenna ports of multiple rows and columns that the network entity 105 can use to support beamforming for communications with the UE 115. Similarly, the UE 115 may include one or more antenna arrays that may support various MIMO or beamforming operations. Additionally or alternatively, the antenna panel may support RF beamforming for signals sent via the antenna ports.

[0101] The network entity 105 or UE 115 may use MIMO communication to utilize multipath signal propagation and improve spectral efficiency by sending or receiving multiple signals via different spatial layers. Such technology may be referred to as spatial multiplexing. For example, multiple signals may be sent by a transmitting device via different antennas or different combinations of antennas. Similarly, multiple signals may be received by a receiving device via different antennas or different combinations of antennas. Each of the multiple signals may be referred to as a separate spatial stream and may carry information associated with the same data stream (e.g., the same codeword) or different data streams (e.g., different codewords). Different spatial layers may be associated with different antenna ports for channel measurement and reporting. MIMO technology includes single-user MIMO (SU-MIMO) and multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO), in which multiple spatial layers are sent to the same receiving device and in which multiple spatial layers are sent to multiple devices.

[0102] Beamforming (which may also be referred to as spatial filtering, directional transmission, or directional reception) is a signal processing technique that may be used at a sender device or a receiver device (e.g., network entity 105, UE 115) to shape or direct an antenna beam (e.g., a transmit beam, a receive beam) along a spatial path between the sender device and the receiver device. Beamforming may be achieved by combining signals conveyed via antenna elements of an antenna array so that some signals propagating along a particular orientation relative to the antenna array experience constructive interference, while other signals experience destructive interference. Adjustments to signals conveyed via antenna elements may include the sender device or the receiver device applying an amplitude offset, a phase offset, or both to signals carried via antenna elements associated with the device. Adjustments associated with each of these antenna elements may be defined by a set of beamforming weights associated with a particular direction (e.g., relative to the antenna array of the sender device or the receiver device or relative to some other direction).

[0103] The wireless communication system 100 may be a packet-based network that operates according to a layered protocol stack. In the user plane, communications at the bearer or PDCP layer may be IP-based. The RLC layer may perform packet segmentation and reassembly to communicate via logical channels. The MAC layer may perform priority processing and multiplexing of logical channels into transport channels. The MAC layer may also implement error detection techniques, error correction techniques, or both to support retransmission to improve link efficiency. In the control plane, the RRC layer may provide the establishment, configuration, and maintenance of an RRC connection that supports a radio bearer for user plane data between the UE 115 and the network entity 105 or the core network 130. The PHY layer may map a transport channel to a physical channel.

[0104] UE 115 and network entity 105 may support retransmission of data to increase the likelihood that the data is successfully received. Hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback is a technique for increasing the likelihood of correctly receiving data via a communication link (e.g., communication link 125, D2D communication link 135). HARQ may include a combination of error detection (e.g., using a cyclic redundancy check (CRC)), forward error correction (FEC), and retransmission (e.g., automatic repeat request (ARQ)). HARQ may improve the throughput at the MAC layer under poor radio conditions (e.g., low signal-to-noise ratio conditions). In some examples, a device may support same-slot HARQ feedback, in which case the device may provide HARQ feedback in a specific time slot for data received via a previous symbol in the time slot. In some other examples, the device may provide HARQ feedback in a subsequent time slot or according to some other time interval.

[0105] Some UEs 115 in the wireless communication system 100 may experience IDC interference in various multi-radio dual connectivity (MR-DC) systems, including NR-DC and E-UTRA New Radio (EN)-DC (EN-DC) systems, as well as for other RATs, such as Wi-Fi. The UE 115 may include multiple radio modules with transceivers supporting different RATs and communications, such as NR, Wi-Fi, Global Positioning System (GPS), and Bluetooth, among others. Due to the small size of the UE 115 and the close proximity of these transceivers within the same UE 115, the UE 115 may experience out-of-band interference or IDC interference, where communications of different transceivers (e.g., Wi-Fi transmissions and NR receptions) may cause interference if the respective frequencies of these transceivers are relatively close. For example, some IDC interference may be based on the transmit power of a transmitted signal (e.g., a Wi-Fi beacon) being much higher than the receive power of a received signal (e.g., an NR downlink transmission). In some coexistence scenarios (eg, different RATs within the same UE 115 operating on adjacent frequencies), filtering techniques may not provide sufficient suppression to avoid interference. Additionally, using a single common radio design to mitigate IDC interference may fail in some cases.

[0106] In some coexistence scenarios, UE 115 may transmit NR communications in bands from 2300 MHz to 2400 MHz (e.g., N40 band) and 2496 MHz to 2690 MHz (e.g., N41 band). In addition, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth communications may occur on the Industrial, Scientific, and Medical (ISM) band from 2400 MHz to 2483.5 MHz. When performing NR, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth communications, the close proximity of the NR and ISM bands may cause IDC interference to UE 115. For example, NR transmissions in the N40 band and the N41 band may interfere with UE 115 receiving Wi-Fi transmissions in the ISM band, and vice versa. In addition, NR communications in the N40 band and the N41 band may interfere with Bluetooth communications on the ISM band. In some examples, other NR bands used for uplink transmissions (e.g., N13, N14 bands) may interfere with the L1 / E1 frequency of the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) due to their second harmonics. In some other examples, NR bands (e.g., N7) may affect navigation and positioning systems of Galileo and Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS). Additionally, NR transmissions in a band from 4400 MHz to 5000 MHz (e.g., N79 band) may experience IDC interference to the Wi-Fi 5 GHz band spanning from 5100 MHz to 5905 MHz.

[0107] In some examples, UE 115 may detect an internal problem or the possibility of the internal problem caused by coexistence related to the use of specific radio resources. Since UE 115 may not be able to solve the problem by itself, UE 115 may provide information to network entity 105 to assist network entity 105 in limiting the use of radio resources to avoid internal problems (or potential internal problems) caused by coexistence. However, in NR communication systems, such methods that may be based on time domain, frequency domain, or autonomous rejection by UE may not support IDC interference mitigation between different RATs (e.g., NR or LTE and Wi-Fi or Bluetooth). For example, UE 115 may not be able to indicate the frequencies affected by interference via NR FDM solutions. Alternatively, although NR TDM solutions can be used for coexistence scenarios in which alternative non-interfering frequencies are unavailable and to avoid interference caused by simultaneous uplink transmissions to different RATs (e.g., Wi-Fi) on uplink frequencies, TDM solutions may result in resource waste and reduced signaling throughput.

[0108] Some FDM techniques include changing the BWP or scheduler configuration based on physical resource blocks (PRBs) to address IDC interference. However, even if the actual signaling associated with IDC is very sparse (e.g., Bluetooth audio communication), frequency signaling alone may cause the network entity 105 to avoid always using a specific frequency carrier, BWP, PRB set, center frequency and bandwidth, or any other frequency resource indicated by an absolute radio frequency channel number (ARFCN). That is, the UE 115 may notify the network entity 105 to avoid scheduling an entire carrier, BWP, PRB set, center frequency and bandwidth, or any other frequency resource. Additionally, if multiple UEs 115 signal similar information, the network entity 105 may be required to avoid frequency resources entirely, which may result in unused frequencies and wasted spectrum and overload of other frequency resources being used, or both.

[0109] Alternatively, using TDM techniques, the network entity 105 may use long and short gaps based on discontinuous reception (DRX), multi-universal subscriber entity module (MUSIM) gaps, or HARQ-based gap patterns to mitigate IDC interference. For example, the UE 115 may request the network entity 105 to avoid scheduling transmissions in some timing resources via DRX, MUSIM, or subframe patterns, which may result in high deployment costs. Similar to FDM techniques, using TDM techniques may result in the network entity 105 avoiding transmissions during time periods across the entire frequency band even if IDC interference is triggered from a portion of the PRBs of the frequency band. For example, the network entity 105 may enforce some DRX patterns that may result in undesirable (e.g., high) latency due to deployment of long cycles or having an activity time above a threshold, thereby attempting to adapt the cycle length to the IDC pattern. Alternatively, using the MUSIM pattern, the network entity 105 may abandon the entire frequency band for the duration of the signaled IDC based on a request from the UE 115. Using subframe HARQ modes (e.g., for LTE scenarios), due to the large number of potential combinations or modes that can be used, the UE 115 may have very high overhead to signal a certain number of possible modes, or reduce scheduler flexibility by selecting a specific mode. In addition, TDM-based IDC mitigation may be difficult to deploy due to the asynchrony between different RATs (e.g., NR or LTE communications and Wi-Fi or Bluetooth communications).

[0110] In order to reduce the impact of IDC interference on the communication between UE 115 and network entity 105, the wireless communication system 100 may support a time-frequency IDC indication (e.g., an explicit indication), which may include an indication of an IDC interference parameter corresponding to a pattern of IDC interference in the time domain, the frequency domain, or both. In some examples, UE 115 may send a UAI indicating the type of IDC interference (e.g., intermodulation between nodes), an interference pattern associated with the interference, or an interference parameter set associated with the interference pattern in the time domain or the frequency domain or a combination thereof. The network entity 105 may use the information included in the UAI to determine how to adapt to (e.g., reduce, prevent, mitigate) IDC interference while maintaining signaling throughput. In some examples, the network entity 105 may send a message to UE 115 indicating a set of operating parameters to be used by UE 115 during a certain time period, and the set of operating parameters may be based on the type of IDC interference, the interference pattern, the interference parameter, or any combination thereof. Then, UE 115 may use the operating parameters to communicate with the network entity 105 during the time period. That is, the network entity 105 may instruct the UE 115 on how to operate during the time period (eg, the time period during which IDC interference may occur) to mitigate the IDC interference and its impact on communications between the UE 115 and the network entity 105 .

[0111] Figure 2 An example of a wireless communication system 200 supporting IDC interference parameters according to one or more aspects of the present disclosure is illustrated. In some examples, the wireless communication system 200 may implement aspects of the wireless communication system 100, or may be implemented by aspects of the wireless communication system 100. For example, the wireless communication system 200 may include a UE 115-a and a network entity 105-a, which may be examples of corresponding devices as described herein. In some examples, the UE 115-a and the network entity 105-a may use information associated with IDC interference to reduce or mitigate the impact of the IDC interference on communications between the UE 115-a and the network entity 105-a.

[0112] The wireless communication system 200 may support communication between the network entity 105-a and the UE 115-a. For example, the network entity 105-a may communicate signals (e.g., uplink transmissions and downlink transmissions) with the UE 115-a via a corresponding communication link 205, which may be a reference Figure 1105 - a. In some examples, UE 115 - a, network entity 105 - a, or both may support one or more RATs (e.g., RAT 1, RAT 2). For example, UE 115 - a and network entity 105 - a may communicate NR, LTE, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth transmissions via communication link 205 as well as other RATs.

[0113] In some cases, based on supporting the one or more RATs, the UE 115-a may experience IDC interference. For example, the UE 115-a may transmit NR signals and receive Wi-Fi signals, which may cause interference when the transmissions occur on relatively close frequency bands. In order to reduce or mitigate such interference, the UE 115-a may provide information to the network entity 105-a that describes in some detail the IDC interference scenario that the UE 115-a is experiencing. Using this information, the network entity 105-a may determine one or more operating parameters that the UE 115-a may use to communicate with the network entity 105-a that may accommodate and mitigate the effects of the IDC interference while having minimal impact on signaling throughput (e.g., NR rate). UE 115-a may provide such information rather than separately indicating one or more frequency resources in the frequency domain affected by IDC interference (e.g., carrier frequency, BWP, PRB set, center frequency and bandwidth, or any other frequency resource indicated by the ARFCN) and a complex gap pattern in the time domain (e.g., a DRX-based gap pattern, a MUSIM-based gap pattern, or a HARQ-based gap pattern), which may have minimal impact on IDC interference and, in some cases, result in additional system inefficiencies.

[0114] UE 115-a may send assistance information 210 (e.g., UAI) associated with UE 115-a to network entity 105-a. In some examples, UE 115-a may send assistance information 210 in a UAI message. The assistance information 210 may indicate the type of IDC interference at UE 115-a and a set of interference parameters associated with the IDC interference. In some examples, the set of interference parameters may correspond to an interference pattern of the IDC interference in the time domain, the frequency domain, or both. For example, the assistance information 210 may include one or more information elements (e.g., IDCCoexInfo), each of which indicates a single type of IDC interference and describes the IDC gap (e.g., interference pattern) using a set of fields (e.g., interference parameter sets) with high granularity (e.g., based on PRB frequency levels).

[0115] In some examples, the interference parameter set may indicate a time pattern of IDC interference (e.g., a gap time requirement). UE 115-a may include the interference parameter set in the auxiliary information 210 to indicate a time period during which the communication between UE 115-a and network entity 105-a may be affected by IDC interference. In other words, the interference parameter set may describe the interference pattern so that network entity 105-a can better reduce or mitigate IDC interference. For example, the interference parameter set may include a periodicity parameter, a frame offset parameter, a time offset parameter, an offset uncertainty parameter, a duration parameter, a start time parameter, a power parameter, an interference direction parameter, a system type parameter, a system protocol parameter, or any combination thereof. In addition, the interference parameter set may include any other parameters associated with the interference pattern of IDC interference in the time domain. In some examples, UE 115-a may include a subset of the interference parameter set in the auxiliary information 210, which describes the type and interference pattern of IDC interference that UE 115-a is experiencing. For example, to maintain low signaling overhead, UE 115-a may include two parameters associated with the time domain in the interference parameter set included in the assistance information 210. Alternatively, if signaling overhead is a smaller constraint and if resolving IDC interference has a higher priority, UE 115-a may include more parameters in the interference parameter set included in the assistance information 210.

[0116] A periodicity parameter (e.g., a period field) may indicate the periodicity with which the IDC interference occurs. For example, the periodicity (e.g., 20 ms) may be based on a periodic transmission (e.g., a Wi-Fi beacon) that generates the IDC interference. Alternatively, the periodicity parameter may indicate a start time, an end time, and a duration of the interference pattern. For example, the periodicity parameter may indicate a single on-demand gap request during which the UE 115-a is to use one or more operating parameters. The UE 115-a may request the network entity 105-a to configure a time period at a given time, wherein the gap may not repeat with any periodicity (e.g., with a periodicity of zero). A frame offset parameter (e.g., a frame offset field) may indicate an offset time between the start of an NR frame and the start of an interfering system frame, which may be calculated relative to a signaled SFN reference. In such cases, the interfering system may include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or other non-3GPP-based communications received or sent by UE 115-a, which may interfere with 3GPP-based communications (e.g., NR or LTE signaling) received or sent by UE 115-a. For example, the frame offset parameter may indicate an offset between the start of an NR frame and the start of a Wi-Fi frame.

[0117] Additionally or alternatively, a time offset parameter (e.g., an offset field) may indicate the time between the start of an interfering system frame and the start of an actual transmission (e.g., a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth transmission or reception at UE 115-a) that generates the IDC interference. For example, a Wi-Fi frame may start at a certain time according to the frame offset parameter, but the Wi-Fi transmission that generates the IDC interference may start at a later time. In some cases, if there is some uncertainty about when the interference pattern starts (e.g., due to some listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure being transmitted or received in the interfering system), an offset uncertainty parameter (e.g., an offset_uncertainty field) may be included in the interference parameter set. A duration parameter (e.g., a duration field) may indicate the duration of the IDC interference (e.g., the length of the interference pattern in time). Additionally or alternatively, if there is some flexibility in the start time of the transmission that generates the IDC interference, a start time parameter (e.g., a flexible_start_time field) may be included in the interference parameter set. In such cases, the UE 115-a may indicate to the network entity 105-a that the interference pattern and the time period indicated by the network entity 105-a (during which the UE 115-a may use one or more operating parameters based on the IDC interference) may occur at any time within the flexible start time. That is, the interfering system (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) may have a flexible start time that can adapt to NR or LTE transmissions to avoid IDC interference.

[0118] When UE 115-a may avoid stopping all communications during a certain period of IDC interference, but may limit its transmit power during the period to maintain the IDC interference below an acceptable level, a power parameter (e.g., a power_max field) may be included in the interference parameter set. In some examples, the interference parameter set may include an interference direction parameter (e.g., an interference direction field), which may indicate whether the NR communication is generating IDC interference, whether it is affected by IDC interference from another source, or both. Additionally or alternatively, when UE 115-a is configured for uplink CA, a system type parameter (e.g., a victim_system_type field) may indicate a list of victim system types that cause IDC interference by NR communication. In some examples, the list of victim system types may include types of GNSS, such as GPS, Global Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS), Beidou Navigation Satellite System (BDS), Galileo and Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) (or NavIC), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), Bluetooth, or any combination thereof.

[0119] In some examples, the parameter set may include an optional system protocol parameter (e.g., a victim_system_protocol field) that may indicate an IDC-specific protocol that the UE 115-a may attempt to avoid interfering with. For example, certain interference to Bluetooth communications may be based on the extended synchronous connection-oriented (eSCO) protocol, in which case the UE 115-a may signal a large number of possible TDD modes that may accommodate the eSCO protocol (which may be associated with high overhead), or the UE 115-a may attempt to avoid interference with the eSCO protocol, and the network entity 105-a may use other interference parameters to understand the interference pattern.

[0120] In some examples, the set of interference parameters may indicate frequency resources that may be affected by IDC interference (e.g., at a PRB granularity level). For example, the set of interference parameters may include a BWP parameter, a PRB set parameter, a center frequency parameter, a bandwidth parameter, a dual connectivity (DC) parameter, or any combination thereof. In addition, the set of interference parameters may include any other parameters associated with the interference pattern of IDC interference in the frequency domain. In some examples, the set of interference parameters may include some combination of interference parameters associated with interference patterns in the time domain and the frequency domain.

[0121] In some cases, a BWP parameter (e.g., a BWP_ID field) may indicate the i-th identifier of a BWP affected by IDC interference. A PRB set parameter (e.g., a PRB start field) may indicate the first PRB in a PRB set in which IDC interference occurs. Additionally or alternatively, a bandwidth parameter (e.g., a PRB bandwidth field) may indicate the bandwidth of the IDC interference (e.g., in units of PRBs). That is, the bandwidth parameter may indicate the frequency bandwidth in which the IDC interference occurs. In some examples, the interference parameter set may include one or more frequency parameters in the frequency parameter so that UE 115-a reports the frequency based on an absolute frequency and bandwidth or some other combination of frequency resources (e.g., the frequency parameter may include a BWP parameter and a PRB parameter or a frequency value and bandwidth indicated in the ARFCN).

[0122] In a DC scenario, a DC parameter (e.g., a DCCaused field) may indicate whether the reported IDC interference is caused by intermodulation between a master node (MN) (e.g., a master gNB (MbNG)) and a secondary node (SN) (e.g., a secondary gNB (SgNB)). Additionally, the UE 115-a may indicate one or more fields associated with a DC parameter indicating which frequency pairing may cause the IDC interference. For example, the DC parameter may include an SNCarrierFreqList field indicating a list of SN carrier frequencies, BWPs, or PRB sets that generate intermodulation interference at the SN. If the UE 115-a includes the SNCarrierFreqList field in a report sent to the SN, the field may indicate the problematic carrier frequency, BWP, or PRB set to the MN. In some cases, the DC parameter may include an affectedDCCarrierCombinationList field indicating one or more carrier frequency band combinations that may generate intermodulation interference. Additionally or alternatively, the DC parameter may include a CellID field indicating an identifier of a cell that may generate intermodulation interference.

[0123] In some examples, network entity 105-a may use information indicated in assistance information 210 to determine one or more operating parameters that UE 115-a and network entity 105-a may use to communicate during the IDC interference. UE 115-a may receive message 215 indicating one or more operating parameters associated with a time period based on the interference pattern. That is, the interference pattern may occur at least partially during the time period. The one or more operating parameters may be based on the type of IDC interference, the interference parameter set, and the interference parameter.

[0124] The operating parameters may include a certain mode that the UE 115-a may use during the time period to reduce or mitigate IDC interference based on the interference parameters. For example, the network entity 105-a may determine a TDD mode, a DRX mode, an explicit gap pattern, or any combination thereof to accommodate IDC interference while maintaining high signaling throughput (e.g., NR rate). In some examples, the UE 115-a and the network entity 105-a may communicate during the time period based on one or more operating parameters, which may include TDD parameters, DRX parameters, explicit gap patterns, or any combination thereof. For example, the UE 115-a and the network entity 105-a may communicate using resources 220 (e.g., time-frequency resources). The UE 115-a may experience IDC interference during the resources 220, which may be associated with the interference pattern 225. During the time period based on the interference pattern 225, the network entity 105-a and the UE 115-a may adopt one or more operating parameters to reduce the impact of IDC interference during the resources 220. In addition, the network entity 105-a can configure the operating parameters in such a way that the UE 115-a can use the operating parameters only during the time period associated with the interference pattern 225, during a portion of the frequency band of the resource 220 and during a time period (e.g., instead of the entire resource), which can maintain high signaling throughput and improve resource utilization efficiency.

[0125] In some cases, the wireless communication system 200 may support NR-DC or EN-DC deployments, where the UE 115-a may detect IDC interference caused by intermodulation or harmonic interference between the MN (e.g., MgNB) and the SN (e.g., SgNB). The UE 115-a may send information about the intermodulation interference to the MN and the SN (e.g., via UAI), where a set of interference parameters associated with the intermodulation interference may include a DC parameter (e.g., a DCCaused field) and its related fields, indicating that the intermodulation interference is caused by DC communication between the MN and the SN. That is, the UE 115-a may send auxiliary information 210 (e.g., in a UAI message) indicating frequency intermodulation between the MN and the SN, where the IDC interference is based on frequency intermodulation.

[0126] In some examples, UE 115-a may, for example, use GNSS to communicate with non-terrestrial devices (e.g., satellites). In GNSS, each bit sent in a signal (e.g., a GPS signal) may be generated using direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) within tens of milliseconds (e.g., a 20ms bit period for a GPS signal). Depending on the phase of the UE 115-a, GNSS receiver (e.g., acquisition, tracking phase), the GNSS transmission may use a certain amount of interference-free time in each bit period. No portion of the bit period is more advantageous than another portion. If UE 115-a has a sufficient percentage of interference-free time in each bit period, UE 115-a may recover the GNSS signal (e.g., GPS signal) and resolve any IDC interference that may occur at UE 115-a.

[0127] In some examples, UE 115-a may resolve IDC interference for communications with non-terrestrial devices (e.g., in a GNSS signaling scenario) based on a start time parameter, a duration parameter, and a time offset parameter included in an interference parameter set. For example, UE 115-a may send assistance information 210 indicating bit period interference at a non-terrestrial device and indicating an interference parameter set, the interference parameter set including at least a start time parameter (e.g., 20ms / 20ms-duration, since the interference-free time can be any time during a certain period of time), a duration parameter (e.g., a desired interference-free time) and a time offset parameter (e.g., 0ms), a periodicity parameter (e.g., 20ms), a frame offset parameter (e.g., 0ms), an interference direction parameter (e.g., indicated as "other" when GNSS is affected by NR and vice versa), a system type parameter (e.g., GNSS), or any combination thereof. The interference parameter set may correspond to an interference pattern of the bit period interference in the time domain and the frequency domain.

[0128] In some cases, UE 115-a may receive control signaling (e.g., via message 215) based on bit period interference, a start time parameter, a duration parameter, and an offset parameter, the control signaling indicating a phase associated with a bit period used to communicate with a non-terrestrial device. Specifically, based on the start time parameter (e.g., indicating a flexible start time), the phase may provide UE 115-a with an amount of downtime (e.g., interference-free time) within each bit period so that UE 115-a may recover sufficient power to decode GNSS signals. Thus, UE 115-a may communicate with the non-terrestrial device during the time period and based on the phase, which may enable UE 115-a to have a sufficient percentage of interference-free time to communicate.

[0129] By determining a set of operating parameters for communicating in an IDC interference scenario based on the type of IDC interference and the interference pattern associated with the IDC interference, communication between a network entity 105-a and a UE 115-a can be improved. For example, communicating using operating parameters as described herein can reduce signaling overhead while maintaining latency and active time associated with communication between the network entity 105-a and the UE 115-a. Additionally, the described techniques can reduce the amount of resources wasted in the frequency domain, which can support low-latency communications. In addition, based on which frequency bands are affected by IDC interference, the UE 115-a can use a given carrier frequency, BWP, PRB set, center frequency and bandwidth, or multiple of any other frequency resources, which can improve resource utilization efficiency and increase signaling throughput.

[0130] Figure 3 An example of a Wi-Fi transmission mode 300 supporting IDC interference parameters according to one or more aspects of the present disclosure is illustrated. In some examples, the Wi-Fi transmission mode 300 can implement aspects of wireless communication systems 100 and 200, or can be implemented by aspects of wireless communication systems 100 and 200. For example, a UE and an access point (which can be examples of network entities as described herein) can communicate a set of Wi-Fi beacons according to the Wi-Fi transmission mode 300, which can address IDC interference generated by Wi-Fi beacons and other transmissions (e.g., NR or LTE transmissions).

[0131] In some examples, the access point may transmit a beacon 305 (e.g., or another Wi-Fi transmission) once every 100 transmission units. Each transmission unit may span a period of 1.024 ms, resulting in a beacon interval 315 (e.g., a beacon transmission interval) of 102.4 ms. In addition, the transmission of beacons 305 may span several milliseconds (e.g., T 信标 325). In some examples, the UE may experience IDC interference generated by receiving beacon 305 and sending LTE communications. In some examples, if the channel is busy, the access point may delay beacon transmission to avoid IDC interference. Then, the UE may miss some of these beacon transmissions. However, if the reception of beacon 305 conflicts at least in part with the uplink LTE transmission, the beacon reception may be considered to have failed. Accordingly, the UE and the access point may use DRX adaptation to prevent excessive conflicts (e.g., interference) between the transmission of uplink LTE communications and the UE's reception of beacon 305.

[0132] In order to receive the beacon 305 and send LTE communications with minimal impact of IDC interference, the UE may send assistance information (e.g., UAI) to the access point, the assistance information indicating uplink traffic 330 at the UE that may interfere with reception of the beacon 305. In addition, the assistance information may indicate a set of interference parameters associated with the uplink traffic 330, wherein the set of interference parameters may correspond to an interference pattern of the uplink traffic 330 in the time domain and the frequency domain.

[0133] In some examples, the set of interference parameters may include a PRB set parameter indicating a set of PRBs affected by Wi-Fi interference from beacon 305 (e.g., interference associated with a second harmonic transmitted by the beacon). In addition, the set of interference parameters may include one or more time-domain based parameters, which may include an SFN parameter, a periodicity parameter, a frame offset parameter, a time offset parameter, an offset uncertainty parameter, a duration parameter, an interference direction parameter, a system type parameter, or any combination thereof. The SFN parameter may indicate an SFN of #N, #N+1, or #N+2, which may represent a reference point between the UE and the access point. The periodicity parameter may indicate a period of 1024 ms, and the frame offset parameter may indicate a frame offset T. 偏移 310, the frame offset may represent an offset from the start of the interference pattern to the reception of the beacon 305-a at the start of the beacon interval 315-a. In addition, the offset parameter may indicate an offset of 0 ms between the reception of the beacon 305-a and the beacon interval 315-a, and the offset uncertainty parameter may indicate an uncertainty T between the start of the beacon interval 315 and the reception of the beacon 305 within the beacon interval 315. 不确定 320. The duration parameter may indicate the duration of the interference as T 信标 325 (eg, duration of beacon transmission). The interference direction parameter may indicate that the IDC interference is caused by beacon reception and LTE transmission (eg, indicated as "other"), and the system type parameter may indicate the victim system type of the WLAN (eg, LTE communications).

[0134] Based on the set of interference parameters indicated by the UE, the access point may determine a set of operating parameters associated with a time period corresponding to the interference pattern. The UE and the access point may communicate using the operating parameters to mitigate interference between the UE receiving beacons 305 and sending LTE communications. For example, during T 偏移 After 310 and during SFN#N and SFN#N+1, the UE may receive beacon 305-a during beacon interval 315-a. The UE may receive beacon 305-a during time period T 信标325. In addition, the UE may receive beacon 305-b during beacon interval 315-b, where the start of beacon interval 315-b and the reception of beacon 305-b are collocated in SFN #N+2 (e.g., associated with an offset of 0 ms). In some cases, the UE may receive beacon 305-c during beacon interval 315-c. In this case, due to the uplink traffic 330 scheduled at the beginning of beacon interval 315-c, the operating parameters may indicate that the UE will receive beacon 305-c during T 不确定 320 to receive the beacon 305-c to avoid interfering with the uplink traffic 330 currently occupying the beacon interval 315-c. That is, the UE may receive control signaling based on the uplink traffic 330, the interference parameter set, and the interference pattern, which control signaling indicates that the reception of the beacon 305-c is delayed until T 不确定 320. Thus, the UE may receive beacon 305-c after the channel is busy with uplink traffic 330. In some examples, the UE may subsequently receive beacon 305-d or any other number of beacons 305 depending on the operating parameters.

[0135] Figure 4 An example of a Bluetooth transmission mode 400 supporting IDC interference parameters according to one or more aspects of the present disclosure is illustrated. In some examples, the Bluetooth transmission mode 400 can implement aspects of the wireless communication systems 100 and 200, or can be implemented by aspects of the wireless communication systems 100 and 200. For example, a UE and a network entity can communicate Bluetooth transmission and NR or LTE transmission according to the Bluetooth transmission mode 400, which can resolve IDC interference generated between Bluetooth communication and NR communication or LTE communication.

[0136] In some cases, the UE and the network entity may communicate using NR or LTE and Bluetooth coexistence, where the Bluetooth communication is in accordance with the eSCO protocol. In the NR or LTE and Bluetooth (eSCO) coexistence scenario, the time period allocated for delivering packets in eSCO mode may be referred to as an eSCO interval 405. In some examples, the eSCO interval 405 may be six time slots 410 (e.g., 625 μs×6 time slots=3.75 ms), and the number of packet transmissions within the eSCO interval 405 may be three (e.g., three transmit / receive (Tx / Rx) pairs 415). Within the time slot 410, the UE may transmit and receive Bluetooth communications or NR or LTE communications. Thus, two consecutive time slots 410 may represent a Tx / Rx pair 415, wherein the first time slot 410 in the Tx / Rx pair 415 may include NR or LTE transmission and Bluetooth reception, and the second time slot 410 in the Tx / Rx pair 415 may include Bluetooth transmission and NR or LTE reception, and vice versa.

[0137] Whether the UE receives or sends a Bluetooth transmission or an NR or LTE transmission may depend on whether the UE is operating as a master or a slave for Bluetooth communications. For example, if the Bluetooth communication is associated with a master, the eSCO interval 405 may begin with a transmit time slot followed by a receive time slot; and if the Bluetooth communication is associated with a slave, the eSCO interval 405 may begin with a receive time slot followed by a transmit time slot. That is, in a given Tx / Rx pair 415, the master may transmit or receive before the slave. Figure 3 In the example of , the eSCO interval 405 may include Tx / Rx pairs 415-a, Tx / Rx pairs 415-b, and Tx / Rx pairs 415-c, each of which may include a transmit time slot and a receive time slot. Tx / Rx pair 415-a may include time slot 410-a (e.g., a transmit time slot) and time slot 410-b (e.g., a receive time slot). Time slot 410-a may be a transmit time slot for a master device and a receive time slot for a slave device, and time slot 410-b may be a receive time slot for a master device and a transmit time slot for a slave device. Similarly, Tx / Rx pair 415-b may include time slot 410-c, which may be a transmit time slot for a master device and a receive time slot for a slave device; and time slot 410-d, which may be a receive time slot for a master device and a transmit time slot for a slave device. In addition, the Tx / Rx pair 415-c may include a time slot 410-e, which may be a transmit time slot for the master device and a receive time slot for the slave device; and a time slot 410-f, which may be a receive time slot for the master device and a transmit time slot for the slave device.

[0138] If the network entity fails to deliver a packet during the eSCO interval 405, the packet may be discarded and the network entity may send a new packet in a retransmission window (e.g., WeSCO=4). In the case where the Bluetooth communication is associated with a master device, the UE may control the local clock to align the timeline of the Bluetooth transmission and the NR or LTE transmission, thereby avoiding conflicts and reducing interference. Alternatively, if the Bluetooth communication is associated with a slave device, the remote master device may control the timeline of the Bluetooth transmission, and thus the Bluetooth transmission pattern 400 may lack a clean Tx / Rx pair 415 in the eSCO interval 405 depending on the offset between the timeline of the Bluetooth transmission and the NR or LTE transmission at a given point in time. Therefore, the UE may provide information about the coexistence scenario between the Bluetooth communication and the NR or LTE communication to the network entity to ensure that at least one clean Tx / Rx pair 415 is communicated in each eSCO interval 405.

[0139] The UE may send assistance information (e.g., UAI) indicating eSCO-based interference (e.g., interference between Bluetooth transmissions and NR or LTE transmissions) and indicating a set of interference parameters corresponding to the interference pattern of the interference in the time domain and the frequency domain. In some examples, the set of interference parameters may include a PRB set parameter indicating a set of PRBs affected by interference (e.g., interference associated with the second harmonic of the Bluetooth transmission). In addition, the set of interference parameters may include one or more time-domain-based parameters, which may include a periodicity parameter, a frame offset parameter, a time offset parameter, a duration parameter, an interference direction parameter, a system type parameter, a start time parameter, or any combination thereof.

[0140] The periodicity parameter may indicate the eSCO interval 405 (eg, a periodicity of 3.75 ms), and the frame offset parameter may indicate the frame offset T 偏移 420, the frame offset may represent an offset from the start of the interference pattern to the time slot 410-a (e.g., the first time slot having the eSCO interval 405). In addition, the offset parameter may indicate an offset of 0 ms between the time slot 410-a and the start of the eSCO interval 405 (e.g., the start of the time slot 410-a and the start of the eSCO interval 405 may be juxtaposed). In some examples, the duration parameter may indicate the duration of the interference, which may be equal to 625 μs (e.g., the duration of the time slot 410 in time). The interference direction parameter may indicate that the interference is generated by both Bluetooth communication and NR or LTE communication (e.g., indicated as "both"), and the system type parameter may indicate the victim system type as Bluetooth (e.g., Bluetooth communication is affected by interference). Additionally, the start time parameter may indicate a flexible start time of 3.215 ms. That is, if the master device is associated with LTE communication, the UE may have some flexibility as to where to send and receive frames, so the UE may provide flexible indications to the network entity and adjust Bluetooth transmissions accordingly.

[0141] Based on receiving the indication of the interference parameter set, the network entity may determine one or more operating parameters associated with a time period that the UE may use to conduct Bluetooth communications and NR or LTE communications to reduce or mitigate interference. For example, the UE may receive control signaling from the network entity based on the interference, the interference parameter set, and the interference pattern, the control signaling indicating an eSCO interval 405 including a Tx / Rx pair 415 (e.g., at least one transmit time slot and one receive time slot) and indicating a start time of the eSCO interval 405. Based on a start time parameter indicating a flexible start time of 3.125 ms (which is calculated as the duration of the eSCO interval 405 (e.g., 3.75 ms) minus the duration of the time slot 410 (e.g., 625 μs)), the operating parameters may enable the UE to adjust the Bluetooth transmission so that at least one Tx / Rx pair 415 is successfully transmitted during the eSCO interval 405. As a result, the UE may transmit and receive Bluetooth communications during the eSCO interval 405 with limited interference.

[0142] In some other examples, the set of interference parameters may include a PRB set parameter indicating a set of PRBs affected by interference (e.g., interference associated with a second harmonic transmitted by Bluetooth eSCO). In addition, the set of interference parameters may include one or more time domain-based parameters. The time domain-based parameters may include a periodicity parameter indicating an eSCO interval 405 (e.g., a periodicity of 3.75 ms); a frame offset parameter indicating T 偏移 420; a time offset parameter, which may indicate an offset of 0 ms between the start of time slot 410-a and the start of eSCO interval 405; an interference direction parameter, which may indicate that the interference is generated by both Bluetooth eSCO communication and NR or LTE communication (e.g., indicated as "both"); a system type parameter, which may indicate that the victim system type is Bluetooth (e.g., Bluetooth communication is affected by interference); and a system protocol parameter (e.g., victim_system_protocol field), which may indicate that the victim system protocol is eSCO.

[0143] Based on the periodicity included in the interference parameter set (e.g., the eSCO interval 405 spanning 3.75 ms) and the victim system protocol (e.g., eSCO), the network entity may determine one or more operating parameters for the UE to use during the eSCO interval 405 (e.g., the network entity may create an accurate gap pattern).

[0144] Figure 5An example of a wireless communication system 500 supporting IDC interference parameters according to one or more aspects of the present disclosure is illustrated. In some examples, the wireless communication system 500 may implement aspects of the wireless communication systems 100 and 200, or may be implemented by aspects of the wireless communication systems 100 and 200. For example, the wireless communication system 500 may include a UE 115-b, a network entity 105-b, and a network entity 105-c, which may be examples of corresponding devices as described herein. In some examples, the network entity 105-b may be a primary network entity (e.g., MgNB, MN), and the network entity 105-c may be a secondary network entity (e.g., SgNB, SN). The wireless communication system 500 may support MR-DC communications, including EN-DC and NR-DC scenarios.

[0145] The wireless communication system 500 may support communications between the UE 115-b, the network entity 105-b, and the network entity 105-c. For example, the UE 115-a may receive communications from the network entity via corresponding communication links 505, which may be referenced Figure 1 An example of a communication link 125 (eg, a Uu communication link) is depicted. Additionally, the network entity 105-b and the network entity 105-c may communicate via a communication link 510, which may be an example of an Xn interface link.

[0146] In some examples, UE 115-b may experience IDC interference due to a multi-network entity scenario (e.g., a CA scenario) in the wireless communication system 500, where the IDC interference is generated due to communication between the network entity 105-b and the network entity 105-c. In order to reduce or mitigate the interference, UE 115-b may send corresponding auxiliary information 515 (e.g., UAI) to the network entity 105, which indicates the frequency intermodulation interference between the network entity 105-b and the network entity 105-c (e.g., the type of IDC interference that UE 115-b is experiencing). In addition, the interference information may indicate an interference parameter set, which may correspond to an interference pattern of the frequency intermodulation interference in the time domain and the frequency domain.

[0147] The interference parameter set may include one or more frequency domain-based parameters, which may indicate one or more frequencies affected by the frequency intermodulation interference between the network entity 105-b and the network entity 105-c. These frequency domain-based parameters may also include a DC parameter (e.g., a DCCaused field indicating "yes"), which may indicate that the frequency intermodulation interference is generated by the network entity 105-b and the network entity 105-c in the DC scenario. The DC parameter may include a SNCarrierFreqList field, which indicates a list of frequencies that generate frequency intermodulation interference. In addition, the interference parameter set may include one or more time domain-based parameters, which may indicate the time requirements (e.g., gap time requirements) of the IDC interference technology created by the DC. That is, these time domain-based parameters may describe the pattern of frequency intermodulation interference in the time domain.

[0148] In a CA deployment, UE 115-b may send corresponding assistance information 515 to network entity 105-b or network entity 105-c, the assistance information indicating a set of interference parameters, which may trigger the network entity to change any problematic frequencies or ensure that there is sufficient time gap between simultaneous use of network entity 105 to avoid frequency intermodulation interference. In other words, UE 115-b may prevent network entity 105 from communicating with UE 115-b at the same time. Accordingly, network entity 105-b and network entity 105-c may coordinate assistance information 515 and one or more operating parameters determined based on assistance information 515 via an Xn interface.

[0149] UE 115-b may receive control signaling from network entity 105-b or network entity 105-c indicating one or more operating parameters associated with a time period based on frequency intermodulation interference and a DC parameter. For example, the one or more operating parameters may indicate when each network entity 105-b communicates with UE 115-b so that they avoid performing simultaneous communications. UE 115-b may receive one or more messages 520 from network entity 105-b, network entity 105-c, or both during the time period based on the one or more operating parameters so that UE 115-b can maintain signaling throughput while limiting the impact of frequency intermodulation interference.

[0150] Figure 6An example of a process flow 600 for supporting IDC interference parameters according to one or more aspects of the present disclosure is illustrated. The process flow 600 may implement aspects of the wireless communication systems 100 and 200, or may be implemented by aspects of the wireless communication systems 100 and 200. For example, the process flow 600 may illustrate operations between a UE 115-c and a network entity 105-d (which may be examples of corresponding devices described herein). In the following description of the process flow 600, the operations between the UE 115-c and the network entity 105-d may be sent in an order different from the example order shown, or the operations performed by the UE 115-c and the network entity 105-d may be performed in a different order or at a different time. Some operations may also be omitted from the process flow 600, and other operations may be added to the process flow 600.

[0151] At 605, UE 115-c may send assistance information associated with UE 115-c to network entity 105-d, the assistance information indicating a type of IDC interference at UE 115-c and indicating a set of interference parameters associated with the IDC interference, wherein the set of interference parameters corresponds to an interference pattern of the IDC in the time domain, the frequency domain, or both. In some examples, the IDC interference may be generated by communications associated with different RATs, including NR, LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS communications, among other RATs. In some examples, the interference pattern may describe a pattern of the IDC interference in the time domain, the frequency domain, or both.

[0152] At 610, the UE 115-c may receive a message from the network entity 105-d indicating one or more operating parameters associated with the time period based on the interference pattern, the one or more operating parameters being based on the type of IDC interference, the set of interference parameters, and the interference pattern. In some examples, the one or more operating parameters may include a TDD mode, a DRX mode, an explicit gap pattern, or any combination thereof, which the UE 115-c may employ to communicate with the network entity 105-d to reduce or mitigate IDC interference.

[0153] At 615, the UE 115-c may communicate with the network entity 105-d during the time period based on the one or more operating parameters. For example, the UE 115-c may communicate with the network entity 105-d using a TDD mode, a DRX mode, an explicit gap mode, or some other mode configured by the network entity 105-d, which may reduce or mitigate IDC interference while maintaining signaling throughput.

In some examples, the processor and a memory coupled to the processor may be configured to perform one or more of the functions described herein (e.g., by executing instructions stored in the memory by the processor).

[0159] Additionally or alternatively, in some examples, the communication manager 720, the receiver 710, the transmitter 715, or various combinations or components thereof may be implemented in code executed by a processor (e.g., as communication management software or firmware). If implemented in code executed by a processor, the functionality of the communication manager 720, the receiver 710, the transmitter 715, or various combinations or components thereof may be performed by a general purpose processor (e.g., configured as or otherwise supporting means for performing the functions described in the present disclosure), a DSP, a CPU, an ASIC, an FPGA, a microcontroller, or any combination of these or other programmable logic devices.

[0160] In some examples, the communication manager 720 can be configured to perform various operations (e.g., receive, obtain, monitor, output, send) using or otherwise cooperating with the receiver 710, the transmitter 715, or both. [0162] By including or configuring a communication manager 720 according to examples as described herein, the device 705 (e.g., a processor controlling the receiver 710, the transmitter 715, the communication manager 720, or a combination thereof or otherwise coupled thereto) may support techniques for using interference parameters associated with patterns of certain IDC interference to reduce the impact of the interference during communications between wireless devices, which techniques may maintain signaling throughput, reduce latency, and provide more efficient use of communication resources.

In some examples, the transmitter 815 may be co-located with the receiver 810 in a transceiver module. The transmitter 815 may utilize a single antenna or a collection of multiple antennas.

[0166] The device 805 or its various components may be examples of components for performing various aspects of the IDC interference parameters as described herein. [0168] Fig. 9 A block diagram 900 of a communication manager 920 supporting IDC interference parameters according to one or more aspects of the present disclosure is shown. The communication manager 920 may be an example of aspects of the communication manager 720, the communication manager 820, or both as described herein. The communication manager 920 or its various components may be examples of components for performing various aspects of the IDC interference parameters as described herein. For example, the communication manager 920 may include a UAI component 925, a message component 930, a communication component 935, a control signaling component 940, an intermodulation component 945, a Wi-Fi component 950, a Bluetooth component 955, a GNSS component 960, a time parameter component 965, a frequency parameter component 970, or any combination thereof. Each of these components may communicate directly or indirectly with each other (e.g., via one or more buses).

[0169] According to the examples disclosed herein, the communication manager 920 may support wireless communication at the UE. The UAI component 925 may be configured as or otherwise support a component for sending auxiliary information associated with the UE, the auxiliary information indicating the type of IDC interference at the UE and indicating an interference parameter set associated with the IDC interference, wherein the interference parameter set corresponds to an interference pattern of the IDC interference in the time domain.
