[0024] The preferred embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. Although the preferred embodiments of the present disclosure are shown in the accompanying drawings, it should be understood that the present disclosure can be implemented in various forms and should not be limited by the embodiments set forth herein. On the contrary, these embodiments are provided to make the present disclosure more thorough and complete, and to fully convey the scope of the present disclosure to those skilled in the art.

[0025] As used herein, the term "including" and its variations mean open inclusion, i.e., "including but not limited to". Unless otherwise stated, the term "or" means "and / or". The term "based on" means "based at least in part on". The terms "an example embodiment" and "an embodiment" mean "at least one example embodiment". The term "another embodiment" means "at least one additional embodiment". The terms "first", "second", etc. may refer to different or the same objects.

[0026] As mentioned above, in some conventional server devices, expansion cards are usually arranged inside the chassis of the server devices. When these expansion cards need to be maintained or replaced, the server must be shut down first and then the entire chassis must be disassembled. This process is not only complicated to operate, but also causes the server device to be unable to run continuously, seriously affecting the continuity and stability of the business.

[0027] An embodiment of the present disclosure provides a server device. The server device includes a chassis, a carrier board, a mainboard, a cover body, and a plurality of expansion cards. The chassis includes a receiving cavity and a first opening. The receiving cavity includes a first area adjacent to the front side of the chassis and a second area adjacent to the rear side of the chassis. The first opening is arranged at the top of the chassis and corresponds to the first area. The carrier board is arranged in the first area and coupled to the chassis. The carrier board includes an interconnection chip. The mainboard is arranged in the second area and coupled to the chassis. The mainboard includes a processing unit. A plurality of expansion cards are detachably coupled to a side of the carrier board facing the first opening. The cover body is arranged at the first opening. The cover body is rotatably coupled to the chassis and can be switched between a closed position and an open position. When the cover body is in the closed position, the cover body blocks the first opening. When the cover body is in the open position, the first opening is exposed for an operator to operate at the first opening. With this arrangement, the operator only needs to rotate the cover body to the open position to maintain and replace the expansion card or other electronic components inside the server device through the first opening. In addition, the server can continue to run during maintenance or replacement operations, ensuring business continuity and stability. Figures 1 to 13 To describe the principles of the present disclosure in detail.

[0028] like Figures 1 to 4 As shown, the server device includes a chassis 10, a carrier board 21, a mainboard 23, a cover 15, and a plurality of expansion cards 25. The chassis 10 is the outer shell of the server device, which is used to accommodate and protect various electronic components inside. The chassis 10 has a receiving cavity 101 inside, and the electronic components can be arranged in different areas of the receiving cavity 101 as needed. In some embodiments, the receiving cavity 101 is divided into two areas, including a first area 101a adjacent to the front side of the chassis 10 and a second area 101b adjacent to the rear side of the chassis 10. In this way, the front and rear partitions contribute to the reasonable layout of the internal space of the chassis 10, and improve the space utilization and heat dissipation efficiency. The first opening 11 is arranged at the top of the chassis 10 and corresponds to the first area 101a.

[0029] like Figure 2 As shown, the carrier board 21 is disposed in the first area 101a and coupled to the chassis 10. The main function of the carrier board 21 is to provide a platform for installing and managing multiple expansion cards 25. The carrier board 21 also integrates an interconnection chip 22, which can achieve efficient communication between the expansion cards 25 and ensure that data is transmitted quickly and with low latency between the multiple expansion cards 25. In this way, the interconnection chip 22 can significantly improve the parallel processing capability and overall performance of the server device.

[0030] like Figure 1 and Figure 2As shown, the motherboard 23 is arranged in the second area 101b and coupled to the chassis 10. The motherboard 23 is the core control unit of the server device, on which the processing unit 24, such as the key components such as the CPU and memory, are integrated. The processing unit 24 is responsible for executing computing tasks and data processing, and is the key to the performance of the server. The motherboard 23 is connected to the carrier board 21 through a high-speed bus, so that data can be efficiently transmitted between the processing unit 24 and the expansion card 25.

[0031] like Figures 1 to 3 As shown, a plurality of expansion cards 25 are detachably coupled to the side of the carrier plate 21 facing the first opening 11. The expansion card 25 may be, for example, a processor, a network card, a memory card, etc., for expanding the functions and performance of the server. In this way, the operator can replace or upgrade the expansion card 25 when necessary.

[0032] like Figure 1 , Figure 2 as well as Figure 4 As shown, the cover 15 is disposed at the first opening 11 and is rotatably coupled to the chassis 10. The cover 15 can be switched between a closed position and an open position. When the cover 15 is in the closed position, the cover 15 blocks the first opening 11 to protect the internal components from external interference. When the cover 15 is in the open position, the first opening 11 is exposed, and the operator can maintain and replace the expansion card 25 or other electronic components inside the server device at the first opening 11.

[0033] With this arrangement, the operator only needs to rotate the cover 15 to the open position to maintain and replace the expansion card 25 or other electronic components inside the server device through the first opening 11. In addition, when performing maintenance or replacement operations, the server can continue to operate to ensure business continuity and stability.

[0034] In some embodiments, Figure 1 and Figure 2 As shown, in the server device, the height of the carrier plate 21 in the accommodating cavity 101 is lower than the height of the mainboard 23 in the accommodating cavity 101. The carrier plate 21 is provided with an interconnection chip 22 for realizing efficient communication between the expansion cards 25, and the mainboard 23 is provided with a processing unit 24, such as key components such as CPU and memory, which are responsible for performing computing tasks and data processing. Both parts will generate a lot of heat during work. By arranging the carrier plate 21 and the mainboard 23 at different heights in the accommodating cavity 101, excessive concentration of heat can be avoided, thereby improving the heat dissipation effect. In addition, the stability and reliability of the server during long-term high-load operation can be ensured.

[0035] In some embodiments, Figure 3As shown, the server device also includes a damping hinge 31. The damping hinge 31 is coupled to the cover body 15 and the chassis 10. The damping hinge 31 can control and slow down the opening and closing speed of the cover body 15 through a built-in damping device (such as hydraulic pressure, spring or elastic member). In actual operation, when the operator turns the cover body 15, the damping hinge 31 will control the movement speed of the cover body 15 so that it opens or closes slowly and smoothly. With this arrangement, the cover body 15 can move smoothly when opening and closing, avoiding the impact and noise caused by sudden closing, thereby protecting the internal electronic components from damage. In addition, the damping hinge 31 can also extend the service life of the cover body 15 and the chassis 10.

[0036] In some embodiments, Figure 5 and Figure 6 As shown, the chassis 10 is provided with a pair of first card slots 102 on opposite sides of the first opening 11. The pair of first card slots 102 can be used to fix and position the cover body 15, so that the cover body 15 can be stably fixed at the first opening 11 when it is in the closed position. In addition, the server device also includes a pair of stopper components 16. The pair of stopper components 16 are coupled to the cover body 15 and are respectively arranged corresponding to the pair of first card slots 102. Specifically, when the cover body 15 is in the closed position, the pair of stopper components 16 are respectively coupled to the pair of first card slots 102, so that the cover body 15 can be firmly fixed on the chassis 10 to prevent the cover body 15 from being accidentally opened.

[0037] In some embodiments, Figure 5 and Figure 6 As shown, the stopper assembly 16 includes a pin, an elastic member, and an operating member. The pin can be inserted into the first slot 102 to fix the cover 15. The elastic member can be, for example, a spring, which is mounted on the pin so that the pin can be automatically inserted into the first slot 102 to ensure the stability of the cover 15. The operating member is a part for manual operation. The operator can apply force to the operating member to overcome the resistance of the elastic member, so that the pin can be withdrawn from the first slot 102, thereby opening the cover 15.

[0038] In some embodiments, Figure 5 As shown, the server device further includes a handle 17. The handle 17 is coupled to the cover 15 and is used to operate the cover 15 to open or close.

[0039] In some embodiments, Figure 5 As shown, the handle 17 is rotatably coupled to the cover 15. When not in use, the handle 17 can be folded on the cover 15 to reduce the occupied space, thereby keeping the appearance of the chassis 10 neat and compact. When it is necessary to open the cover 15 for maintenance or replacement, the operator can rotate the handle 17 to a position that is convenient for gripping, thereby conveniently lifting or rotating the cover 15.

[0040] In some embodiments, Figure 1 , Figure 4 and Figure 5 As shown, a notch 13 is provided on the front side of the chassis 10. The server device further includes a function module 34. The function module 34 is coupled to the side of the cover 15 facing the first area 101a and is electrically connected to the mainboard 23. In this way, when the cover 15 is in the closed position, the function module 34 is located at the notch 13 on the front side of the chassis 10. The operator can directly operate the function module 34 at the notch 13 without disassembling the chassis 10 or moving the cover 15.

[0041] In some embodiments, Figure 4 As shown, the functional module 34 may include at least one of a power control module 341 and a data transmission module 342. The power control module 341 is used to manage the startup and shutdown of the server. The data transmission module 342 is responsible for the transmission and exchange of data to improve the data processing capability of the system. The functional module 34 is electrically connected to the mainboard 23 to ensure efficient transmission of data and control signals.

[0042] It should be understood that in other embodiments, the functional module 34 may also include other necessary components, such as a network interface module, a storage module 343, a monitoring module, etc., to meet the functional requirements in different scenarios, and the present disclosure is not intended to limit this.

[0043] In addition, the server device has many functions, and some functional modules 34, such as the storage module 343, can be arranged on the front side of the chassis 10, rather than being installed entirely on the cover 15. In this way, the storage module 343 is arranged on the front side of the chassis 10, which can facilitate the operator to store and manage data, while also reducing the load on the cover 15, ensuring the stability and safety of the cover 15 during the opening and closing operation.

[0044] In some embodiments, Figure 1 and Figure 2 As shown, the server device further includes a module compartment 18. The module compartment 18 is coupled to the cover 15 and is used to install the functional module 34. When the cover 15 is in the closed position, the height between the bottom surface of the module compartment 18 and the top surface of the carrier plate 21 is greater than the height of the plurality of expansion cards 25. With this arrangement, the functional module 34 in the module compartment 18 will not interfere with the expansion card 25 on the carrier plate 21, providing sufficient space.

[0045] In some embodiments, the height of the chassis 10 may be 8 rack units, the height of the module compartment 18 may be 1 rack unit, and the sum of the heights of the expansion card 25 and the carrier board 21 is 3 rack units. In this way, after installing multiple expansion cards 25, there is still 4 rack units of height remaining inside the chassis 10. This part of the space can facilitate subsequent upgrades of server equipment. For example, other types of carrier boards 21 or expansion cards 25 can be replaced without replacing the chassis 10 frame, so as to adapt to different application requirements and technological advances.

[0046] In some embodiments, Figure 1 and Figure 2 As shown, the server device also includes a liquid cooling component 40. The liquid cooling component 40 is disposed in the accommodating cavity 101 and is coupled to the interconnection chip 22, the processing unit 24 and a plurality of expansion cards 25. The interconnection chip 22 and the processing unit 24 will generate a large amount of heat during operation, and the liquid cooling component 40 can take away the heat by circulating the cooling liquid, thereby ensuring that the interconnection chip 22 and the processing unit 24 can still maintain stable operation in a high temperature environment. In addition, the liquid cooling component 40 can also reduce the temperature of the expansion card 25 to prevent performance degradation or failure caused by overheating. In this way, the server device can maintain the best working state under high load and long-term operation, and can meet the needs of high-performance computing and large-scale data processing.

[0047] In some embodiments, Figure 5 and Figure 7 As shown, the liquid cooling assembly 40 includes a liquid inlet pipe 41, a liquid return pipe 42, a first branch 43, a first cold plate 44, a second branch 45, a second cold plate 46, and a liquid cooling adapter 47. The liquid inlet pipe 41 and the liquid return pipe 42 are main pipes of the liquid cooling assembly 40, which can be connected to an outdoor heat exchange unit, such as a cooling tower, a water-cooled condenser, etc. The liquid inlet pipe 41 is responsible for transporting low-temperature coolant to the inside of the server, while the liquid return pipe 42 returns the coolant that has absorbed heat back to the outdoor heat exchange unit for cooling.

[0048] The first branch 43 is in communication with the liquid inlet pipe 41 and the liquid return pipe 42, and is used to provide cooling for the processing unit 24. The first cold plate 44 is in communication with the first branch 43, and is coupled to the processing unit 24 on the main board 23. The first cold plate 44 transfers the heat generated by the processing unit 24 to the coolant through the heat conductive material, thereby effectively reducing the temperature of the processing unit 24 and ensuring that it can still operate stably under high load conditions. When there are multiple processing units 24, the first cold plate 44 may include multiple sub-cold plates, and the multiple sub-cold plates are respectively coupled to the multiple processing units 24. In other embodiments, the first cold plate 44 may adopt a whole cold plate, and the whole cold plate is coupled to the multiple processing units 24.

[0049] The second branch 45 is in communication with the liquid inlet pipe 41 and the liquid return pipe 42, and is used to provide cooling for the interconnection chip 22. The second cold plate 46 is in communication with the second branch 45, and is coupled to the interconnection chip 22 on the carrier plate 21. The second cold plate 46 transfers the heat generated by the interconnection chip 22 to the cooling liquid, ensuring that the interconnection chip 22 does not overheat during the efficient communication process, thereby maintaining the high performance and reliability of the system.

[0050] The liquid cooling adapter 47 is connected to the liquid inlet pipe 41 and the liquid return pipe 42. The liquid cooling adapter 47 includes a plurality of liquid inlets 471 and a plurality of liquid outlets 472. The plurality of liquid inlets 471 and the plurality of liquid outlets 472 are coupled to the plurality of expansion cards 25 in a one-to-one correspondence. The liquid cooling adapter 47 enables each expansion card 25 to obtain the cooling liquid flow, thereby effectively dissipating heat.

[0051] In some cases, such as Figure 7 As shown, the liquid cooling adapter 47 is not only connected to the liquid inlet pipe 41 and the liquid return pipe 42, but also connected to the first branch 43 and the second branch 45. The liquid cooling adapter 47 can play a diversion role, so that the coolant can be distributed among different branches, ensuring that each key component can obtain sufficient coolant flow, and can also reduce the number of adapters in the liquid cooling assembly 40.

[0052] In some embodiments, Figure 8 As shown, a second opening 12 is provided at the rear side of the chassis 10. The server device further includes an air cooling module 32 and a power module 33. The air cooling module 32 and the power module 33 are provided at the second opening 12 and are electrically connected to the mainboard 23. The air cooling module 32 allows air to circulate inside the server by rotating the fan, which can further reduce the temperature inside the server. The power module 33 provides a stable power supply for the server to ensure the normal operation of the system.

[0053] In some embodiments, Figure 8 As shown, a plurality of spare positions are also provided at the second opening 12. When in use, the number of air cooling modules 32 and power modules 33 can be configured according to actual needs. For example, for a usage scenario requiring higher heat dissipation capacity, the operator can increase the number of air cooling modules 32. For a usage scenario requiring higher power supply, the operator can increase the number of power modules 33. In this way, the server device can meet diverse application requirements.

[0054] In some embodiments, Figure 2 , Figures 9 to 13As shown, the server device further includes a stopper 35. The stopper 35 is disposed in the accommodating cavity 101 and coupled to the chassis 10. The stopper 35 includes a plurality of stoppers 351, and the plurality of stoppers 351 are respectively coupled to a plurality of expansion cards 25. With this arrangement, the expansion card 25 can be stopped by a physical structure to prevent it from loosening or falling off in the slot, thereby ensuring the stability and reliability of the system.

[0055] In some embodiments, Fig. 9 and Fig.10 As shown, the limiting portion 351 includes a limiting groove. A connector 26 is provided at one end of the expansion card 25, and the connector 26 can be inserted into the limiting groove. In this way, the limiting groove and the connector 26 are used in conjunction, and each expansion card 25 can be firmly fixed in a predetermined position to avoid loosening or damage caused by vibration or external impact. During installation and maintenance, the operator only needs to align the connector 26 with the limiting groove and push it hard to complete the installation. When replacement or maintenance is required, the expansion card 25 can be pulled out by applying force outwards without worrying about affecting other components.

[0056] In some embodiments, Fig.10 As shown, a pair of protrusions 352 are provided in the limiting groove. The plug connector 26 can be inserted between the pair of protrusions 352, and an interference fit is adopted between the plug connector 26 and the pair of protrusions 352. With this arrangement, the pair of protrusions 352 and the plug connector 26 form a damping structure, which can prevent the expansion card 25 from bouncing when being pulled out.

[0057] Specifically, during the docking process of the expansion card 25 and the liquid cooling adapter 47, the connection between the two is very tight to prevent leakage of the cooling liquid. When the expansion card 25 is pulled out from the liquid cooling adapter 47, a large elastic force will be generated, which may cause the expansion card 25 to jump up during the pulling out process. The paired protrusions 352 and the plug-in connector 26 have an interference fit, which can increase the resistance when the plug-in connector 26 is inserted and pulled out, and can effectively absorb this part of the elastic force, thereby avoiding the jumping phenomenon of the expansion card 25.

[0058] In some embodiments, Fig.10 As shown, a pair of inclined surfaces 353 are provided on one side of the pair of protrusions 352 facing the first opening 11, and the pair of inclined surfaces 353 can guide the plug-in component 26 to be inserted between the pair of protrusions 352. When the operator inserts the expansion card 25 into the limiting slot, the plug-in component 26 first contacts the pair of inclined surfaces 353. The plug-in component 26 can slide smoothly along the inclined surfaces into the pair of protrusions 352, thereby reducing the resistance and friction during insertion, and ensuring that the plug-in component 26 can smoothly enter the limiting slot.

[0059] In addition, the paired inclined surfaces 353 can also reduce the alignment work during the installation process, thereby improving the installation efficiency of the expansion card 25. During the installation of the expansion card 25, the operator only needs to roughly align the expansion card 25 with the limit slot, and the inclined surface 353 will automatically guide the connector 26 into the correct position. In this way, the difficulty of operation during installation can be reduced, making the installation process more efficient and quick.

[0060] In some embodiments, Figures 10 to 13 As shown, a plurality of grooves 354 are provided on one side of the stopper 35 facing the plurality of expansion cards 25. The server device further includes a plurality of stopper assemblies 27. The plurality of stopper assemblies 27 are respectively coupled to the plurality of expansion cards 25, and the plurality of stopper assemblies 27 are respectively coupled to the plurality of grooves 354. In this way, after the expansion card 25 is mounted on the carrier plate 21, each expansion card 25 is also connected to the corresponding liquid inlet 471 and liquid outlet 472 on the liquid cooling adapter 47. The stopper assemblies 27 can be connected to the grooves 354 on the stopper 35, thereby fixing the expansion card 25 at the current position, and preventing the expansion card 25 from loosening during operation, thereby preventing the problem of cooling liquid leakage or poor circuit contact.

[0061] In some embodiments, Figures 11 to 13 As shown, each stop assembly 27 includes a connecting member 271, a matching member 272, a button 273 and an elastic member 274. The connecting member 271 is rotatably coupled to the expansion card 25 and can be switched between an unlocked position and a locked position. The connecting member 271 includes a first end and a second end opposite to each other. The first end is provided with a first protrusion 2711, and the second end is provided with a second protrusion 2712. The matching member 272 is rotatably coupled to the expansion card 25. A second card slot 2721 is provided on one side of the matching member 272, and the second card slot 2721 can be inserted into the second protrusion 2712. At the same time, the connecting member 271 will also rotate accordingly, so that the first protrusion 2711 will be disengaged from the groove 354 of the limiting member 35.

[0064] In this way, the stop assembly 27 can make the expansion card 25 more convenient and safer during installation and removal. The connection piece 271, the matching piece 272, the button 273 and the elastic assembly 274 work together to keep the expansion card 25 stable during insertion and removal, avoiding the risk of damage caused by improper operation.

[0065] In some embodiments, the elastic component 274 may include a first elastic member 2741 and a second elastic member 2742. The first elastic member 2741 is connected to the matching member 272 and the expansion card 25. The first elastic member 2741 can be used to drive the matching member 272 so that the second card slot 2721 faces the connecting member 271. The second elastic member 2742 is connected to the button 273 and the expansion card 25, and is used to drive the button 273 to the initial position for the next operation.

[0066] In other embodiments, the elastic component 274 may include only one of the first elastic member 2741 and the second elastic member 2742. Fig.12 As shown, the button 273 is slidably coupled to the expansion card 25 and coupled to the matching piece 272. That is, the two can transmit force, and when the first elastic piece 2741 applies force to the matching piece 272, the button 273 will also move. Similarly, when the second elastic piece 2742 applies force to the button 273, the matching piece 272 will also move.
