Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] The invention relates to a clamping device, in particular to a workpiece bearing part for a cable, and to a workpiece bearing part having such a clamping device. Background Art
[0002] It is known from the practice of cable processing that in order to process cables, it is necessary to clamp and releasably fix the cable, in particular the cable end from which the insulation has been stripped, in a clamping device. In particular, it is known to fix the cable in a workpiece carrier in such a way that both ends of the cable are respectively clamped and releasably fixed in a clamping device, wherein the cable is accommodated in a U-shaped manner or with a plurality of superimposed windings as a so-called coil in the workpiece carrier.
[0003] As is known, a clamping device for a cable is provided, which has an operable actuator, which has two actuator halves, wherein one of the two clamping parts is arranged at the corresponding actuator half. When the actuator is operated, the clamping parts move toward each other and clamp the section of the cable to be processed between the clamping parts. If the actuator is operated again, the stress of the clamping part is relieved or reduced, so that the clamped cable can be loosened and removed. Each of the two clamping parts has a receiving contour part on the side facing the other clamping part, and the receiving contour part is designed as a circular arc-shaped longitudinal groove, wherein when the actuator is operated, that is, when the clamping parts are moved relative to each other, the section of the side surface of the cable can be clamped and accommodated in the longitudinal groove.
[0004] The receiving contour of the corresponding clamp part can be matched to the cable to be held in a compression manner, for example, in a longitudinal groove with a circular arc cross-sectional profile, the radius of the circular arc of the profile can be matched to the diameter of the side surface of the cable. If a cable with another diameter is to be processed, the clamp part must be replaced.
[0005] It is known to fasten the clamp part to the actuator half with the aid of additional fasteners, such as screws. If the clamp part is to be replaced, an additional tool, such as a screwdriver, is required to loosen the tightened screws, after which the clamp part can be replaced by a new clamp part. The new clamp part must then be re-fastened again with a tool, such as a screwdriver.
[0006] In an automated cable handling device, a plurality of cables are processed simultaneously, wherein each cable can be clamped in a workpiece carrier, which can also include two clamping devices each having two clamping parts. Replacing all clamping parts by using additional tools to loosen fasteners such as screws and then tightening them again after replacing the clamping parts can be time-consuming and labor-intensive, mainly because loosening and re-tightening the fasteners requires a human operator and can only be automated in a time-consuming and labor-intensive manner.
[0007] DE 10 2004 061 047 B3 describes a clamping device with two jaws which grip the cable end to be processed, wherein the respective jaw is fastened to one of the two actuator halves by means of a screw. If the jaws are to be replaced, an additional tool must be used to loosen at least one screw and to tighten it again after the jaws have been replaced in order to fasten the new jaws.
[0008] EP 0 993 085 A2 describes a clamping device for accommodating a cable, which has two jaws that can be pivoted toward each other, wherein the respective jaws partially have a circular arc-shaped cross-sectional profile that accommodates the cable along a circumferential section. The pivot axis of the respective jaws is oriented substantially parallel to the axial direction of the cable. If the jaws are to be replaced, the jaws must be removed from the pivot arm and new jaws must be mounted on the pivot arm. It is also possible to replace the pivot arm together with the jaws fastened thereto. In both cases, tools are required, which makes the replacement time-consuming and labor-intensive.
[0009] US 2022 / 0305621 A1 describes a fixed bench vise for clamping workpieces with essentially flat sides. The bench vise has two clamping jaws, each of which is fastened to a support block, wherein the respective support block is penetrated by a threaded section of a threaded drive shaft. The respective clamping jaws are held at the respective support block by a groove guide, for which purpose the planar sections of the clamping jaws and the support block, which are respectively approximately perpendicular to each other, act together. Only when the threaded sections are loosened is it possible to replace the clamping jaws of the fixed bench vise, which is time-consuming and laborious, and at most during maintenance, the replacement of the clamping jaws is provided for the normal functioning of the bench vise. Summary of the invention
[0010] The object of the present invention is to provide a possible way of simply and quickly replacing a clamping part for a clamping device, in particular also for a workpiece carrier having a clamping device.
[0011] According to the invention, this object is achieved by a clamping device, in particular for a workpiece-carrying part of a cable, wherein the clamping device comprises:
[0012] - a manipulable actuator having two actuator halves,
[0013] a first clamping part, which is arranged on the first actuator half, and a second clamping part, which is arranged on the second actuator half, wherein the cable can be clamped in a partially detachable manner between the receiving contour of the first clamping part and the receiving contour of the second clamping part when the actuator is actuated,
[0014] wherein at least one of the clamp parts is designed in two parts and has a base part which is fastened to the actuator half and a replacement part which is arranged on the base part,
[0015] wherein the replacement part has a bearing section which rests with a bearing surface on the base part and a contact section which rests on the base part,
[0016] - wherein a receiving contour is provided at the contact section on the outer side facing the other clamping part,
[0017] - wherein a contact surface is designed on the inner side of the contact section facing away from the other clamp part, and the contact section contacts the contact surface of the base component with the contact surface, and
[0018] wherein the contact surface of the contact section of the replacement part forms an acute angle with the support surface of the replacement part which lies on the base part.
[0019] The two-piece design of at least one clamp part consisting of a base part and a replacement part makes it possible to replace only the replacement part, on which a receiving contour is provided to adapt the clamp part to cables with different diameters, for example. The replacement part lies partially flat or against the base part and can be easily replaced without the aid of tools.
[0020] The support section of the replacement part that is not mounted and lies flat on the base part and the abutment section of the replacement part that is not mounted and abuts on the base part make it possible to replace the replacement part without having to loosen and tighten additional fasteners again. In particular, tool-free replacement of the replacement part is possible for the base part that is fastened to the actuator half.
[0021] The acute angle between the contact surface of the contact section of the replacement part and the contact surface of the replacement part lying on the base part forms a pair of wedge-shaped guides, which press the contact section onto the base part if the cable section accommodated in the receiving contour is pressed in the direction of the two-part clamping part when the actuator is actuated. This effect occurs in particular when the angle is significantly smaller than 90° and significantly greater than 0°.
[0022] The object on which the invention is based is achieved, in particular, also for a workpiece carrier, in particular for a workpiece carrier for a cable, wherein the workpiece carrier is designed for holding two cable ends of a cable in a clamped manner, provided that the workpiece carrier has a clamping device according to the invention or includes this clamping device as a component, in particular, each of the two clamping devices of the workpiece carrier designed according to the invention is particularly for each of the two cable ends.
[0023] Preferably, an acute angle of about 30° to about 75°, in particular about 65°, is provided. This acute angle is also formed between the plane section of the base part lying on the support section of the replacement part and the contact surface of the base part against which the inner side of the contact section of the replacement part contacts, so that when the actuator is actuated and the cable is clamped in a detachable manner, the base part and the replacement part contact each other at two contact surfaces inclined relative to each other at this acute angle.
[0024] Preferably, provision is made, in particular, for the replacement part to have two opposite side wall sections, wherein the respective side wall section bears against the side edge of the base part in a close fit. When the actuator is actuated and a force is exerted on the at least one two-part clamping part, the two side wall parts suppress an undesired movement of the replacement part relative to the base part.
[0025] Furthermore, it is preferably provided that the replacement part is designed as a one-piece metal profile. The profile is placed or attached to a base part fastened to the actuator half or can be removed from the base part again without tools.
[0026] Preferably, it is provided that the replacement part is made of a magnetically conductive material and wherein a permanent magnetization is provided in the base part, the magnetic circuit of which is closed by the magnetically conductive material of the replacement part. The permanent magnetization in the base part can be provided by a permanent magnet accommodated in the base part. The magnetic circuit reduces undesired relative movements of the replacement part with respect to the base part in a direction parallel to the cable or in a direction away from the clamping part.
[0027] With regard to reducing undesired relative movements of the replacement part with respect to the base part in a direction opposite to the clamp portion, it can preferably be provided that the replacement part has a holding section at an end section opposite the abutment section, which holding section partially overlaps an end edge of the base part.
[0028] Preferably, it is provided that the base part has a fastening section for fastening to the actuator half, and wherein the fastening section is arranged outside the section of the base part that is covered by the replacement part. The base part can be designed in particular in an L-shaped manner, wherein one arm of the L is covered by the replacement part, i.e. forms a contact surface with the replacement part that is as large as possible and uninterrupted, and the other arm of the L is designed as a fastening section of the base part, so that within the region of the fastening section the base part is fastened to the actuator half, for example by means of a screw connection.
[0029] With regard to the largest possible common contact surface between the bearing section of the replacement part and the base part, it is preferably provided that in the transition region from the bearing surface of the bearing section to the contact surface of the contact section, the replacement part has an undercut extending substantially parallel to the receiving contour. The edge of the base part designed with an acute angle in cross section can protrude into the undercut.
[0030] In addition, the two clamping parts of the clamping device are preset, preferably, each of the two clamping parts is designed as a two-piece structure having a base part and a replacement part, respectively, wherein, as described above for at least one of the two clamping parts, the base part or the replacement part is designed for the corresponding clamping part of the two clamping parts.
[0031] Further advantages and features of the invention emerge from the dependent claims and from the following description of at least one exemplary embodiment. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0036] Figure 4 Shown according to Figures 1 to 3 A perspective view of replacement parts of a clamping device. DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0037] Figure 1 A partially cut-away perspective view from a first viewing direction shows an embodiment of a clamping device for a cable according to the present invention.
[0038] The clamping device comprises an actuator 1 which has a first actuator half 2 and a second actuator half. The respective actuator half is movably guided in a guide in the actuator housing, wherein the first actuator half 2 is movably arranged in a guide 3 in the actuator housing. The second actuator half is movably guided in a guide 3 in the actuator housing. Figure 1 The clamping device further comprises a first clamping part 4 arranged on the first actuator half 2 and a second clamping part 5 arranged on the second actuator half. The actuator 1 is designed to clamp a cable (not shown in the figure) locally between a receiving contour part 6 of the first clamping part 4 and a receiving contour part 7 of the second clamping part 5 during actuation, and to be more precise, to clamp the cable in a detachable manner, so that the cable can be released and removed when the actuation of the actuator 1 is released.
[0039] In particular, the actuator 1 is designed as a pneumatic actuator, which, when actuated, moves the two actuator halves 2 toward each other and partially clamps the cable between the actuator halves 2. If the actuation of the pneumatic actuator 1 is released, in particular the pneumatic actuator 1 is placed in an unpressurized state, the two actuator halves 2 remain tensioned toward each other under the prestress of the mechanical spring. When the clamping parts 4, 5 are pressed away from each other, for example when the actuator 1 is pneumatically loaded again, the partially clamped cable can be removed against the weak prestress of the mechanical spring.
[0040] according to Figure 1 It can be seen that at least one clamp part, that is, at least the first clamp part 4, is designed as a two-piece, that is, it includes two components that are independent of each other. The first clamp part 4 includes a base part 8 fastened to the first actuator half 2 and a replacement part 9 arranged on the base part 8 (that is, placed flat on the base part 8). The replacement part 9 is configured to be removable from the base part 8 and replaceable.
[0041] The replacement part 9 has a bearing section 10 which lies on the base part 8 and has a bearing surface 14 with which the bearing section 10 lies on the base part 8. The replacement part 9 also has a contact section 11 which rests on the base part 8.
[0042] On the contact section 11 of the replacement component 9 , a receiving contour 6 is formed on the outer side facing the further second clamp part 5 , wherein a circumferential section of the cable can be received in the receiving contour 6 locally in the longitudinal direction in a substantially form-fitting manner.
[0043] On the abutment section 11 of the replacement component 9, an abutment surface 12 is formed on the inner side opposite to the outer side and facing away from the other second clamping part 5. Figure 1In the illustration of FIG. 8 , the contact section 11 of the replacement part 9 with the contact surface 12 laterally contacts the contact surface 13 of the base part 8 .
[0044] The contact surface 12 of the contact section 11 of the replacement part 9 and the support surface 14 of the replacement part 9 lying on the base part 8 enclose an acute angle, that is, an angle that is significantly smaller than 90° and significantly greater than 0°. In the embodiment shown, the acute angle is about 30° to about 75°, in particular about 65° ( Figure 2 ).
[0045] Correspondingly, the contact surface 13 of the base part 8 also forms the same acute angle with the bearing surface 15 of the base part 8 which lies on the bearing surface 14 of the bearing section 10 of the replacement part 9 .
[0046] The supporting surfaces 14, 15 of the replacement part 9 or the base part 8 that interact with each other are respectively designed to be flat. The abutment surfaces 12, 13 of the base part 8 or the replacement part 9 that interact with each other are also designed to be flat, and Figure 1 The abutment surfaces 12, 13 are inclined relative to the respectively corresponding bearing surfaces 14, 15 at an acute angle of about 30° to about 75°, in particular about 65°.
[0047] The replacement part 9 comprises two opposite side wall sections 16, 17. Figure 1 In the embodiment, one of the side wall sections is marked with reference numeral 16, and in Figure 4 In the perspective view of the embodiment, two side wall sections can be seen. The corresponding side wall sections (particularly Figure 1 The side wall sections 16 in the base part 8 are close to the side 18, so that only a small air gap is left relative to the surface of the side 18. The two side wall sections prevent the replacement part 9 from being displaced in the extension direction of the cable or in the extension direction of the receiving contour 6.
[0048] In the direction of viewing along the longitudinal extension of the cable not shown in the figure, Figure 2 The cross-sectional view shows the Figure 1 The first clamp portion 4 is provided.
[0049] If the cable is clamped between the clamping parts 4, 5 and the mechanism 1 is actuated, the cable exerts a force on the receiving contour 6 of the replacement part 9 according to the right part of the double arrow 19, exerting a force on the first clamping part 4. In the case of such a force transmission, the two contact surfaces 12, 13 act together as wedge surfaces, so that an imaginary reaction force according to the arrow 20 is generated, that is, a resultant force with a high force component perpendicular to the two bearing surfaces 14, 15, the effect of which is that the replacement part 9 is pressed against the base part 8 and is additionally fixed on the base part 8. The direction of the arrow 20 corresponds essentially to the direction of the two contact surfaces 12, 13 in a parallel offset manner.
[0050] For the second fixture part 5, Figure 2 It can also be seen that the second clamp part 5 is also designed as a two-piece structure, including a base part 8' and a replacement part 9'. In particular, it can be seen that each of the two clamp parts 4 and 5 is designed as a two-piece structure including a base part 8, 8' and a replacement part 9, 9', respectively, which is understood to mean that the previous and subsequent descriptions of the first clamp part 4 including the base part 8 and the replacement part 9 are also applicable to the other second clamp part 5.
[0051] Therefore, if Figure 2 What can be seen in relation to the first clamp part 4, also applies to the second clamp part 5: in the transition region from the bearing surface 14 of the bearing section 10 to the abutment surface 12 of the abutment section 11, the replacement part 9 of the first clamp part 4 has an undercut 21 extending essentially parallel to the receiving contour 6. Furthermore, it can be seen that the abutment section 11 of the replacement part 9 is designed to be placed essentially vertically with respect to the bearing section 10, so that the abutment section 11 is arranged between the base part 8 and the opposite clamp part 5.
[0052] As already explained above, it is provided that, on the base part 8, the replacement part 9 is arranged and held in a flat manner in the area of the supporting section 10 and the replacement part is arranged and held in an abutting manner in the area of the abutting section 11 without the need for other additional fasteners, in particular, the replacement part 9 can be removed and replaced without loosening any fasteners such as screws or the like and without tightening them again after replacing the replacement part 9.
[0053] Figure 3 A perspective view of the clamping device is shown, in which the clamping device according to Figure 1 and Figure 2The two replacement parts 9, 9' are arranged so that only the corresponding actuator halves, in particular the first actuator half 2 and the base part 8 fastened to the first actuator half 2, can be seen. It can be seen that the base part 8 is designed to be essentially L-shaped, wherein the replacement part lies flat on one arm of the L and is fastened to the actuator half 2 on the other arm of the L. For the other arm of the L, the base part 8 has a fastening section 22 for fastening the base part 8 to the first actuator half 2, in particular, two fastening screws for permanently fixing the base part 8 to the first actuator half 2 can be seen. As compared Figure 1 As shown in the illustration in FIG. 8 , the fastening section 22 is arranged outside the section of the base part 8 which is covered by the replacement part 9 .
[0054] Figure 4 Shown according to Figure 1 and Figure 2 3D view of a replacement part 9. The replacement part 9 is designed as a replaceable part of the clamping device and can be replaced by another replacement part having, for example, another shape of the receiving contour 6, when, for example, a cable with a different diameter or circumferential shape must be accommodated in the clamping device. Moreover, the longitudinal extension of the receiving contour 6 can also deviate from one another for different replacement parts. Figure 4 In particular, a plan view of the flat bearing surface 14 of the bearing section 10 of the replacement component 9 is shown.
[0055] Figure 4 It can be seen that the replacement part 9 is designed as a one-piece molded part, in particular as a molded part made of metal. In particular, the replacement part 9 is designed as a milled part made of hardened steel, in particular of nitrided steel, in particular plasma nitrided. Figures 1 to 3 The base part 8 of the housing 1 is also designed as a substantially L-shaped one-piece formed part, in particular also made of hardened steel, in particular nitrided steel, in particular plasma nitrided.
[0056] For replacement part 9, according to Figure 4 It can be seen that the body of the replacement part 9 is designed to be continuous, ie does not have any through-holes penetrating the body from the outside to the inside, through which fasteners such as screws have to be guided.
[0057] For installing the replacement part 9 on the base part 8, it is provided that Figure 4 The replacement part 9 is arranged in accordance with Figure 3The base part 8 is permanently fixed to the first actuator half 2 so that the base part 8 is accommodated between the side wall sections 16, 17 of the replacement part 9, so that the contact section 11 of the replacement part 9 overlaps the edge 23 in such a way that the contact surface 12 of the contact section 11 of the replacement part 9 laterally contacts the contact surface 13 of the base part 8 ( Figure 1 , Figure 2 In this position, the displacement of the replacement part 9 relative to the base part 8 towards the opposite clamp part can also be achieved (in Figure 2 from left to right or from right to left in the diagram).
[0058] If the actuator 1 is manipulated and the first clamp part 4 is moved to the second clamp part 5 so that the cable is clamped between the clamp parts 4, 5, then according to Figure 2 As explained, the replacement part 9 is pressed onto the base part 8, so that the replacement part 9 is releasably and additionally fixed to the base part 8. If the actuator is in the unpressurized state, the replacement part 9 can be removed by lifting the contact section 11 of the replacement part 9 above the edge 23 of the base part 8 and removing the replacement part 9 completely from the base part 8. For such removal, it may be necessary to press the two clamping parts 4, 5 slightly away from each other, for example by correspondingly actuating the pneumatic actuator 1.
[0059] As long as no cables are clamped between the clamp parts 4, 5, the displacement of the replacement part 9 relative to the base part 8 can be reduced, for example, by designing the replacement part 9 to be made of a magnetically conductive material and providing a permanent magnetization in the base part 8, the magnetic circuit of which is closed by the magnetically conductive material of the replacement part 9. In the embodiment shown, both the base part 8 and the replacement part 9 are made of a magnetically conductive material, namely hardened steel or plasma nitrided steel. The permanent magnetization in the base part 8 is provided by a permanent magnet 24 ( Figure 2 , 3 ) is provided, which is accommodated in a bore in the base part 8 so that the permanent magnet 24 does not protrude beyond the bearing surface 15 of the base part 8 .
[0060] As an alternative or in addition to the permanent magnetization (in particular permanent magnets) in the base part 8, it can be provided that the replacement part 9 has a permanent magnet at the end section 25 opposite the contact section 11. Figure 2 8, which partially overlaps the end edge 26 of the base part 8. The holding section can be designed, for example, as a bent-over tab of the replacement part 9 on its end section 25, or as an additional component, for example, an injection-molded part made of elastic plastic. For example, during the production of the replacement part 9, the bent-over tab of the replacement part 9 can be produced as a milled part by not removing material just in the region of the tab.
[0061] The clamping device 27 described above is designed to accommodate an electrical, optical or electro-optical cable between the clamping parts 4, 5, which are each designed in two parts, and to hold it clamped in a removable manner between the clamping parts 4, 5 when the actuator 1 is actuated. For local accommodation of the cable, the accommodation contour 6, 7 of the respective clamping part 4, 5 extends in the longitudinal direction of the cable by a multiple of the cable diameter. In particular, the accommodation contour 6, 7 of the respective clamping part 4, 5 extends in the longitudinal direction significantly beyond the intermediate region directly between the base parts 8, 8' of the clamping parts 4, 5. The clamping device 27 is part of a workpiece carrier, which is designed in particular for accommodating a cable, wherein the workpiece carrier has one clamping device 27 for accommodating each of the two ends of the cable.
[0062] Alternatively, the described clamping device 27 can also be arranged on a fixture, for example on an arm of a robot.
