However, the embodiments may have different forms and should not be construed as being limited to the description set forth herein.
[0048] One or more embodiments will be described in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. Those elements that are identical or corresponding to each other are given the same reference numerals or characters regardless of the drawing numbers, and their redundant descriptions may be omitted.
[0049] It will be understood that when an element such as a layer, film, region, or plate is referred to as being "on" another element, it may be "directly on" the other element, or there may be intervening elements between them. In addition, the size of the elements in the drawings may be exaggerated or reduced for ease of description. For example, since the size and thickness of the elements in the drawings may be arbitrarily shown for ease of description, the following embodiments are not limited thereto.
[0050] The x-axis, y-axis, and z-axis are not limited to the three axes of the rectangular coordinate system and can be interpreted in a broader sense. For example, the x-axis, y-axis, and z-axis can be perpendicular to each other, or can represent different directions that are not perpendicular to each other.
[0051] Although such terms as "first" and "second" may be used to describe various elements, these elements must not be limited to the above terms. The above terms are only used to distinguish one element from another element.
[0052] It will also be understood that the terms “comprising,” “including,” and “having” as used herein specify the presence of stated features or elements, but do not preclude the addition of one or more other features or elements.
[0053] It will also be understood that when layers, regions, or elements are referred to as being connected to each other, they may be directly connected to each other, or they may be indirectly connected to each other with intervening layers, regions, or elements between them. For example, when layers, regions, or elements are referred to as being electrically connected to each other, they may be directly electrically connected to each other, or they may be indirectly electrically connected to each other with intervening layers, regions, or elements between them.
[0054] Unless otherwise defined or implied herein, all terms (including technical and scientific terms) used herein have the same meaning as commonly understood by those skilled in the art to which the present disclosure belongs. It will also be understood that terms, such as those defined in commonly used dictionaries, should be interpreted as having a meaning consistent with their meaning in the context of the relevant art and the present disclosure, and should not be interpreted in an idealized or overly formal sense unless explicitly so defined herein.
[0055] Figure 1 is a schematic exploded perspective view of a portion of an electronic device according to an embodiment. Figure 2 It is schematically shown Figure 1 A perspective view of some of the elements stacked on top of each other shown in FIG. Figure 3 It is schematically shown Figure 2 A perspective view of some of the elements of the bend shown in FIG.
[0056] The electronic device according to the embodiment may include a window 10, a display panel 30, a printed circuit board 40 and / or a main circuit board 60. In some cases, the electronic device may also include a display panel 30, a printed circuit board 40, and / or a main circuit board 60. Figure 1 For example, the electronic device may further include a cover panel 50 disposed between the display panel 30 and the printed circuit board 40. The electronic device may further include a back cover (not shown) coupled to the window 10 to allow various elements to be positioned inside.
[0057] Examples of the electronic device may include various electronic devices such as a smart watch, a smart phone, and / or a tablet computer.
[0058] Window 10 may be formed of a light-transmitting material and may include glass or a polymer resin. Window 10 may include, for example, a polymer resin such as polyethersulfone, polyacrylate, polyetherimide, polyethylene naphthalate, polyethylene terephthalate, polyphenylene sulfide, polyarylate, polyimide, polycarbonate, or cellulose acetate propionate.
[0059] The window 10 may include a base 11 and an edge portion 13. The base 11 may determine the overall appearance of the window 10 and transmit light. The edge portion 13 may protrude from a first virtual plane on (or in) which the base 11 is located. Figure 1It is shown that the base 11 can be located on a first virtual plane substantially parallel to the xy plane, and the edge portion 13 can protrude from the edge of the base 11 substantially in a direction perpendicular to the xy plane (e.g., +z direction). The base 11 and the edge portion 13 may include the same material and may be integrally formed as a single body (or integral with each other), but one or more embodiments are not limited thereto. For example, the edge portion 13 may be an element separated from the base 11 and may be coupled to the edge of the base 11. In this case, unlike the light-transmitting base 11, the edge portion 13 may be non-transmissive.
[0060] The base 11 may be located in a first virtual plane, and the first virtual plane may be curved. For example, in the case where the electronic device is a smart watch, the base 11 included in the window 10 may have a flat shape as a whole, but the outer surface of the base 11 opposite to the display panel 30 (i.e., the outer surface in the -z direction) may include a microscopically curved portion.
[0061] The display panel 30 may be disposed on the base 11 of the window 10. The display panel 30 may include a circuit including electronic devices such as thin film transistors on a substrate and a display element such as an organic light emitting diode or an inorganic light emitting diode electrically connected to the circuit. However, one or more embodiments are not limited thereto, and the display panel 30 may include various display elements such as a liquid crystal device instead of an organic light emitting diode.
[0062] The printed circuit board 40 may be flexible. The printed circuit board 40 may be electrically connected to the display panel 30. For example, Figure 1 As shown in , a portion of the printed circuit board 40 may be attached to and / or electrically connected to the surface of the display panel 30 in the direction toward the window 10. In this case, the wires or pads of the printed circuit board 40 may be electrically connected to the pads positioned on the surface of the display panel 30 in the direction toward the window 10 through an anisotropic conductive film or the like.
[0063] The printed circuit board 40 may include a main body portion 41, a neck portion 43 protruding from the main body portion 41, and / or a first connection portion 45 protruding from the main body portion 41. As described above, the neck portion 43 may be in contact with the display panel 30. The main body portion 41 may have an area larger than that of the neck portion 43, and an electronic device such as an integrated circuit may be attached to the main body portion 41 of the printed circuit board 40 via an anisotropic conductive film or the like. A pad electrically connected to the electronic device may be positioned in the main body portion 41, and a wire extending to the neck portion 43 and / or the first connection portion 45 may also be positioned in the main body portion 41. An electrical signal to be applied to the display panel 30 may be transmitted via the wire. In addition, as will be described below, the near field communication antenna ATN (reference Figure 5) may be positioned at the body portion 41. The first connector 40c1 may be positioned at the first connection portion 45, and a wire extending from the body portion 41 may be electrically connected to the first connector 40c1.
[0064] The cover panel 50 may be disposed between the display panel 30 and the printed circuit board 40. A detailed description of the cover panel 50 is given below.
[0065] like Figure 2 As shown in , the display panel 30 and the cover panel 50 may be on the window 10. For example, the display panel 30 and the cover panel 50 may be positioned inside the space defined by the base 11 and the edge portion 13 of the window 10. Figure 3 As shown in FIG. 4 , the printed circuit board 40 electrically connected to the display panel 30 may be bent at the neck portion 43, and thus, the body portion 41 may be placed on the cover panel 50. The printed circuit board 40 may be flexible as described above, and the neck portion 43 may be flexible and may be as Figure 2 and Figure 3 , and the main body portion 41 can be placed on the cover panel 50. In some cases, the main body portion 41 can also be flexible. In this case, the neck portion 43 can be more flexible than the main body portion 41.
[0066] The printed circuit board 40 having the neck portion 43 electrically connected to the display panel 30 as described above may be bent at the neck portion 43, and the body portion 41 may be disposed on the side of the display panel 30 facing away from the window 10 (e.g., may be disposed in the +z direction from the display panel 30). It may be understood that it is described that the printed circuit board 40 is opposite to the window 10 relative to the display panel 30 (in the +z direction).
[0067] like Figure 3 As shown in , the main circuit board 60 may be on the printed circuit board 40 having the curved neck portion 43. The main circuit board 60 may be electrically connected to the printed circuit board 40, and may be disposed on a side of the printed circuit board 40 that is away from the display panel 30 (e.g., may be disposed in the +z direction from the printed circuit board 40). Electronic components of the electronic device, such as an application processor (AP) or a central processing unit (CPU), may be on the main circuit board 60, and wires configured to transmit electrical signals from or to those electronic components may also be on the main circuit board 60. Unlike the printed circuit board 40, the main circuit board 60 may not be flexible. The main circuit board 60 may include a first main connector 60c1, and the first connector 40c1 of the printed circuit board 40 may be fastened to the first main connector 60c1 of the main circuit board 60 to electrically connect the printed circuit board 40 to the main circuit board 60.
[0068] Figure 4is schematically shown in the manufacturing Figure 1 During the process of electronic equipment Figure 1 A three-dimensional diagram of the shape of a portion of an electronic device. Figure 4 As shown in , during the process of manufacturing the electronic device, the display panel 30 and the cover panel 50 are placed in a space defined by the base 11 and the edge portion 13 of the window 10, and then, the printed circuit board 40 is bent at the neck portion 43 to place the main body portion 41 of the printed circuit board 40 on the display panel 30 and the cover panel 50. Figure 4 It can be understood as showing a process of placing the display panel 30 and the cover panel 50 in a space defined by the base 11 and the edge portion 13 of the window 10 during the process of manufacturing the electronic device. The light-transmitting adhesive layer 20 may be provided between the window 10 and the display panel 30 to bond the window 10 and the display panel 30.
[0069] Figure 5 yes Figure 1 Schematic plan view of a printed circuit board 40 of an electronic device. Figure 6 It is along Figure 5 The line A-A' intercepts Figure 5 Schematic cross-sectional view of a printed circuit board 40. As described above, the printed circuit board 40 includes a near field communication antenna ATN. The printed circuit board 40 may have an antenna area 41a and a peripheral area outside the antenna area 41a. The near field communication antenna ATN may be in the antenna area 41a. Figure 5 As shown in , the antenna area 41 a may be positioned at the main body portion 41 of the printed circuit board 40 .
[0070] An induced current corresponding to the hourly change in the magnetic flux density passing through the near field communication antenna ATN can be induced in the near field communication antenna ATN. In order to sensitively respond to the change in the magnetic flux density, Figure 5 As shown in , the near field communication antenna ATN may be arranged in the form of a coil in a plane (eg, an xy plane) where the printed circuit board 40 is provided. Figure 5 , the near field communication antenna ATN is shown to have a shape similar to a wire extending from the outside to the inside while rotating clockwise. However, the embodiment is not limited thereto, and the near field communication antenna ATN may have a different shape within the spirit and scope of the present disclosure.
[0071] The first terminal ATNT1 may be electrically connected to one end of the near field communication antenna ATN, and the second terminal ATNT2 may be electrically connected to the other end of the near field communication antenna ATN. Each of the first terminal ATNT1 and the second terminal ATNT2 may be, for example, a part of a conductive line. Figure 5 and Figure 6It is shown that the first terminal ATNT1 can be set on a layer on which the near field communication antenna ATN can be set, so that the first terminal ATNT1 and the near field communication antenna ATN are integrally formed into a single body, and the second terminal ATNT2 can be set on a layer different from the layer on which the near field communication antenna ATN can be set. For example, the printed circuit board 40 can have a structure in which a first base B1, a second base B2 and a third base B3 as an insulating layer including a resin (for example, polyimide or the like) are stacked on each other in sequence, and the near field communication antenna ATN and the first terminal ATNT1 can be set between the first base B1 and the second base B2, and the second terminal ATNT2 can be set between the second base B2 and the third base B3 and can contact the other end of the near field communication antenna ATN through a contact hole defined in the second base B2.
[0072] In the above case of the electronic device according to the embodiment, the printed circuit board 40 may include the near field communication antenna ATN, and therefore, an electronic device capable of near field communication and having a simple structure compared to the case where the near field communication antenna ATN is set as a separate element different from the printed circuit board 40 can be realized.
[0073] As described above, the wires may be arranged at the printed circuit board 40 to transmit electrical signals to be applied to the display panel 30 and the like through those wires. Figure 5 As described above, the near field communication antenna ATN may be in the antenna area 41a. On the other hand, in addition to the wire connected to the near field communication antenna ATN, for example, in addition to the first terminal ATNT1 and the second terminal ATNT2, other wires may not be in the antenna area 41a, but in the peripheral area. For example, in the printed circuit board 40, there may be no wire in the antenna area 41a except for the wire or wires connected to the near field communication antenna ATN.
[0074] As described above, since an induced current corresponding to the hourly change in the magnetic flux density passing through the near field communication antenna ATN can be induced in the near field communication antenna ATN, the near field communication antenna ATN can sense the environmental signal. If a wire including metal is in the antenna area 41a, the sensitivity of the near field communication antenna ATN may be reduced. Therefore, in addition to the wire connected to the near field communication antenna ATN, for example, in addition to the first terminal ATNT1 and the second terminal ATNT2, other wires may not be in the antenna area 41a, but in the peripheral area. For reference, as shown in FIG. Figure 6As shown in , the printed circuit board 40 may have a multilayer structure, and the first terminal ATNT1 may be provided on a layer different from the layer on which the second terminal ATNT2 is provided. Similarly, some of the wires included in the printed circuit board 40 may be between the first base B1 and the second base B2, and some may be between the second base B2 and the third base B3. In any case, these wires may not be in the antenna area 41a.
[0075] As described above, the cover panel 50 may be disposed between the display panel 30 and the printed circuit board 40 . Figure 7 is a schematic cross-sectional view of the display panel 30 and the cover panel 50. Figure 7 As shown in , the cover panel 50 may include a buffer layer 51 and a metal layer 53. In some cases, the buffer layer 51 may be attached to the display panel 30 by an adhesive. The metal layer 53 may include, for example, copper. The cover panel 50 may be disposed on a side of the display panel 30 that is away from the window 10 (i.e., it may be disposed in the +z direction from the display panel 30), thereby protecting the display panel 30 from external electrical signals or electromagnetic waves.
[0076] like Figure 7 As shown in , the metal layer 53 of the cover panel 50 may have a transmission opening 53OP. As described above, in the case where the wire including metal is in the antenna area 41a, the sensitivity of the near field communication antenna ATN may be reduced. Even in the case where the metal layer 53 of the cover panel 50 overlaps with the antenna area 41a, the sensitivity of the near field communication antenna ATN may be reduced. Therefore, the metal layer 53 of the cover panel 50 may have a transmission opening 53OP, and therefore, the reduction in the sensitivity of the near field communication antenna ATN can be effectively prevented. In particular, when observed in a direction (z-axis direction) perpendicular to the display panel 30 (i.e., in a plan view), the transmission opening 53OP in the metal layer 53 may overlap with the antenna area 41a of the printed circuit board 40, and therefore, the high sensitivity of the near field communication antenna ATN can be maintained. In this regard, when viewed in a direction perpendicular to the display panel 30 (z-axis direction), the area of the transmission opening 53OP of the metal layer 53 can be substantially equal to or greater than the area of the antenna region 41a of the printed circuit board 40, and therefore, the high sensitivity of the near field communication antenna ATN can be reliably maintained.
[0077] For reference, in the case where the electronic device according to the embodiment is a smart watch or a smart phone, the user can place the display panel 30 and the window 10 adjacent to the near field communication device. Therefore, the electromagnetic wave from the near field communication device can pass through the window 10, the display panel 30 and the cover panel 50 and reach the near field communication antenna ATN of the printed circuit board 40. In the electronic device according to the embodiment, the metal layer 53 included in the cover panel 50 can have a transmission opening 53OP, and therefore, even in the case where the user uses the electronic device in this way, near field communication can be smoothly performed.
[0078] The electrical signal received or generated by the near field communication antenna ATN may be transmitted to the main circuit board 60. As described above, since the first connector 40c1 may be provided on the printed circuit board 40, the first connector 40c1 may be electrically connected to at least one of the wire of the printed circuit board 40 and the near field communication antenna ATN. Therefore, the electrical signal received or generated by the near field communication antenna ATN may be transmitted to the main circuit board 60 through the first connector 40c1 of the printed circuit board 40 and the first main connector 60c1 of the main circuit board 60.
[0079] Figure 8 yes Figure 1 Schematic plan view of a portion of a printed circuit board 40 of an electronic device. Fig. 9 It is along Figure 8 The line B-B' intercepts Figure 8 A schematic cross-sectional view of a portion of a printed circuit board 40 is shown. Figure 8 As shown in FIG. 1 , the near field communication antenna ATN included in the electronic device according to the embodiment may include a first antenna ATN1 and a second antenna ATN2. Since the first antenna ATN1 may correspond to the above reference Figure 5 The near field communication antenna ATN described above is a first antenna ATN1, so from this point of view, the second antenna ATN2 can be called an additional antenna. In the following, for the convenience of description, it is assumed that the near field communication antenna ATN includes a first antenna ATN1 and a second antenna ATN2.
[0080] like Figure 8 As shown in , the near field communication antenna ATN may be arranged in the form of a coil in a plane (eg, an xy plane) where the printed circuit board 40 is provided. Figure 8 , the first antenna ATN1 is shown as having a shape similar to a wire extending from the outside to the inside while rotating clockwise. The second antenna ATN2 is shown as having a shape similar to a wire extending from the inside to the outside while rotating counterclockwise. However, the embodiment is not limited thereto, and the first antenna ATN1 and the second antenna ATN2 may have different shapes within the spirit and scope of the present disclosure.
[0081] The first terminal ATNT1 may be electrically connected to one end of the first antenna ATN1. One end of the second antenna ATN2 may be electrically connected to the other end of the first antenna ATN1. The second terminal ATNT2 may be electrically connected to the other end of the second antenna ATN2. As described above, an induced current corresponding to the hourly change in the magnetic flux density passing through the near field communication antenna ATN may be induced in the near field communication antenna ATN. In addition to the first antenna ATN1, the near field communication antenna ATN may include a second antenna ATN2, thereby more sensitively responding to such changes in magnetic flux density.
[0082] The first terminal ATNT1 and the first antenna ATN1 may be on the same layer. For example, the first terminal ATNT1 and the first antenna ATN1 may be disposed between the first base B1 and the second base B2. Therefore, the first terminal ATNT1 and the first antenna ATN1 may be integrally formed as a single body. The second antenna ATN2 may be between the second base B2 and the third base B3, and one end thereof may contact the other end of the first antenna ATN1 through a contact hole defined in the second base B2. The second terminal ATNT2 and the first terminal ATNT1 may be on the same layer. Therefore, the other end of the second antenna ATN2 may contact the second terminal ATNT2 through a contact hole defined in the second base B2.
[0083] It has been described so far that the electrical signal received or generated by the near field communication antenna ATN can be transmitted to the main circuit board 60 through the first connector 40c1 of the printed circuit board 40 and the first main connector 60c1 of the main circuit board 60. However, one or more embodiments are not limited thereto. For example, as shown in FIG. 1 , which is an exploded perspective view schematically showing a portion of an electronic device according to an embodiment Fig.10 and as schematically shown Fig.10 A perspective view of some elements stacked on top of each other and some elements bent Fig.11 As shown in FIG. 1 , the printed circuit board 40 may include a first connector 40c1 and a second connector 40c2, and the main circuit board 60 may include a first main connector 60c1 and a second main connector 60c2.
[0084] For example, the printed circuit board 40 may include a second connection portion 47 protruding from the body portion 41 in addition to the first connection portion 45 protruding from the body portion 41 , the first connector 40c1 may be on the first connection portion 45 , and the second connector 40c2 may be on the second connection portion 47 .
[0085] In this case, the first connector 40c1 of the printed circuit board 40 can be electrically connected to at least one of the wires of the printed circuit board 40, and the second connector 40c2 can be connected to the wire electrically connected to the near field communication antenna ATN. The first main connector 60c1 of the main circuit board 60 can be electrically connected to the first connector 40c1, and the second main connector 60c2 of the main circuit board 60 can be electrically connected to the second connector 40c2. Therefore, the electrical signal to be applied to the display panel 30 can be transmitted to the display panel 30 through the first main connector 60c1 and the first connector 40c1, and the electrical signal from the near field communication antenna ATN or the electrical signal to the near field communication antenna ATN can be transmitted through the second main connector 60c2 and the second connector 40c2.
[0086] Although the case where the printed circuit board 40 includes the near field communication antenna ATN has been described so far, one or more embodiments are not limited thereto. For example, the main circuit board 60 may include the near field communication antenna ATN. Fig.12 is an exploded perspective view schematically showing a part of an electronic device according to an embodiment. Fig.13 It is schematically shown Fig.12 , and shows a case where the main circuit board 60 has an antenna area 60a. The printed circuit board 40 may have a transmission area 41a' corresponding to the antenna area 60a of the main circuit board 60. In addition to the antenna area 60a and the transmission area 41a', the description of the electronic device according to the previous embodiment can also be applied to the electronic device according to this embodiment.
[0087] The main circuit board 60 may have an antenna area 60 a and a peripheral area outside the antenna area 60 a , and the near field communication antenna ATN may be in the antenna area 60 a .
[0088] An induced current corresponding to the hourly change in magnetic flux density passing through the near field communication antenna ATN can be induced in the near field communication antenna ATN. In order to sensitively respond to such changes in magnetic flux density, the near field communication antenna ATN can be arranged in the form of a coil in a plane (e.g., an xy plane) where the main circuit board 60 is provided.
[0089] The first terminal may be electrically connected to one end of the near field communication antenna ATN, and the second terminal may be electrically connected to the other end of the near field communication antenna ATN. Each of the first terminal and the second terminal may be, for example, a part of a wire. The first terminal may be disposed on a layer on which the near field communication antenna ATN may be disposed, and thus the first terminal and the near field communication antenna ATN may be integrally formed as a single body, and the second terminal may be on a layer different from the layer on which the near field communication antenna ATN may be disposed, and may contact the near field communication antenna ATN through a contact hole. For example, the main circuit board 60 may have a structure in which one or more insulating layers may be stacked on one another in sequence, and the near field communication antenna ATN and the first terminal may be disposed between the first insulating layer and the second insulating layer, and the second terminal may be disposed between the second insulating layer and the third insulating layer and may contact the other end of the near field communication antenna ATN through a contact hole defined in the second insulating layer. For example, the main circuit board 60 may have a structure with Figure 6 The cross-sectional shape of the printed circuit board 40 shown in FIG. 1 is similar to the cross-sectional shape of FIG.
[0090] In the above case of the electronic device according to the embodiment, the main circuit board 60 may include the near field communication antenna ATN, and therefore, an electronic device capable of near field communication and having a simple structure compared to the case where the near field communication antenna ATN is set as a separate element different from the main circuit board 60 can be realized.
[0091] As described above, the wires may be arranged at the main circuit board 60 to transmit the electrical signals to be applied to the printed circuit board 40 through those wires. As described above, the near field communication antenna ATN may be in the antenna area 60a. On the other hand, in addition to the wires connected to the near field communication antenna ATN, for example, in addition to the first terminal and the second terminal, other wires may not be in the antenna area 60a, but in the peripheral area. For example, in the main circuit board 60, there may be no wires in the antenna area 60a except for the wire or wires connected to the near field communication antenna ATN.
[0092] Even in the electronic device according to this embodiment, the cover panel 50 may be provided between the display panel 30 and the printed circuit board 40. Even in this case, the cover panel 50 may have a Figure 7 . For example, the cover panel 50 may include a buffer layer 51 and a metal layer 53.
[0093] like Figure 7 As shown in , the metal layer 53 of the cover panel 50 may have a transmission opening 53OP. As described above, in the case where the wire including the metal is in the antenna area 60a, the sensitivity of the near field communication antenna ATN may be reduced. Even in the case where the metal layer 53 of the cover panel 50 overlaps with the antenna area 60a, the sensitivity of the near field communication antenna ATN may be reduced. Therefore, the metal layer 53 of the cover panel 50 may have a transmission opening 53OP, and therefore, the reduction in the sensitivity of the near field communication antenna ATN can be effectively prevented. In particular, when observed in a direction perpendicular to the display panel 30 (z-axis direction), the transmission opening 53OP in the metal layer 53 may overlap with the antenna area 60a of the main circuit board 60, and therefore, the high sensitivity of the near field communication antenna ATN can be maintained. In this regard, when observed in a direction perpendicular to the display panel 30 (z-axis direction), the area of the transmission opening 53OP of the metal layer 53 may be substantially equal to or greater than the area of the antenna area 60a of the main circuit board 60, and therefore, the high sensitivity of the near field communication antenna ATN can be reliably maintained.
[0094] Similarly, when viewed in a direction perpendicular to the display panel 30 (z-axis direction), the conductive wires included in the printed circuit board 40 may overlap with the peripheral area outside the antenna area 60a of the main circuit board 60. For example, there may be no conductive wires of the printed circuit board 40 in the transmission area 41a' of the printed circuit board 40, and when viewed in a direction perpendicular to the display panel 30 (z-axis direction), the transmission area 41a' of the printed circuit board 40 may overlap with the antenna area 60a of the main circuit board 60, thereby maintaining the high sensitivity of the near field communication antenna ATN. In this regard, when viewed in a direction perpendicular to the display panel 30 (z-axis direction), the area of the transmission area 41a' of the printed circuit board 40 may be substantially equal to or greater than the area of the antenna area 60a of the main circuit board 60, and therefore, the high sensitivity of the near field communication antenna ATN may be reliably maintained.
[0095] Even in the case where the main circuit board 60 includes the near field communication antenna ATN, the near field communication antenna ATN may have Figure 8 and Fig. 9 For example, the structure shown in the above reference Figure 8 and Fig. 9 The description of the structure of the near field communication antenna ATN including the first antenna ATN1 and the second antenna ATN2 may also be applied to the case where not the printed circuit board 40 but the main circuit board 60 includes the near field communication antenna ATN.
[0096] For example, the first antenna ATN1 may have a shape similar to a wire extending from the outside to the inside while rotating clockwise, and the second antenna ATN2 may have a shape similar to a wire extending from the inside to the outside while rotating counterclockwise. The first terminal ATNT1 may be electrically connected to one end of the first antenna ATN1, one end of the second antenna ATN2 may be electrically connected to the other end of the first antenna ATN1, and the second terminal ATNT2 may be electrically connected to the other end of the second antenna ATN2. The first terminal ATNT1 and the first antenna ATN1 may be on the same layer, and the first terminal ATNT1 and the first antenna ATN1 may be integrally formed as a single body. The second antenna ATN2 may be disposed on a layer different from the layer on which the first antenna ATN1 may be disposed, and one end of the second antenna ATN2 may be in contact with the other end of the first antenna ATN1 through a contact hole. The second terminal ATNT2 and the first terminal ATNT1 may be on the same layer. Therefore, the other end of the second antenna ATN2 may be in contact with the second terminal ATNT2 through a contact hole.
[0097] For reference, in the case where the main circuit board 60 as described above includes a near-field communication antenna ATN, an electrical signal from the near-field communication antenna ATN or an electrical signal to the near-field communication antenna ATN can be transmitted to or from a central processing unit or the like installed on the main circuit board 60 through the wires of the main circuit board 60.
[0098] According to one or more of the above embodiments, an electronic device having a simple structure and capable of near field communication can be realized. However, one or more embodiments are not limited to this effect.
[0099] It should be understood that the embodiments described herein should be considered to be descriptive only and not for limiting purposes.
