Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] Embodiments of the present invention relate to a lighting device and a vehicle lamp. Background Art
[0002] Lighting applications include vehicle lamps and backlights for displays and signs. Compared with conventional light sources such as fluorescent lamps and incandescent lamps, light-emitting devices such as light-emitting diodes (LEDs) have advantages such as low power consumption, semi-permanent life, fast response speed, safety, and environmental friendliness. These light-emitting diodes are applied to various display devices and various lighting devices such as indoor or outdoor lamps.
[0003] Recently, a lamp using a light-emitting diode has been proposed as a vehicle light source. Compared with an incandescent lamp, the light-emitting diode has an advantage of low power consumption. However, since the emission angle of the light emitted from the light-emitting diode is small, when the light-emitting diode is used as a vehicle lamp, it is necessary to increase the light-emitting area of the lamp using the light-emitting diode. Since the light-emitting diode is small, the design freedom of the lamp can be increased, and it is cost-effective due to its semi-permanent service life. Summary of the Invention

[0035] Figure 1An example of a plan view of a lighting device according to an embodiment of the present invention Figure 2 is Figure 1 an example of a partially enlarged view of the lighting device Figure 3 is Figure 1 an example of a cross-sectional view taken along line A-A of the lighting device Figure 4 is Figure 3 a partially enlarged view of the lighting device Figure 5 is a diagram comparing the areas of air layers according to changes in the area of a light-shielding member in a lighting device according to an embodiment of the present invention, and Figure 6 is Figure 5 a graph showing the luminous efficiency and light uniformity of the ratio of the area of the air layer to the area of the light-shielding member
[0036] Referring to Figures 1 to 4 , a lighting device 400 according to an embodiment of the present invention may include a substrate 401, a plurality of light-emitting devices 100, a resin layer 420, a plurality of light-shielding members 450, and an optical film 430. The optical plate may include the optical film 430 and the plurality of light-shielding members 450, and the light-shielding members 450 may be formed on the upper surface or the lower surface of the optical film 430. The lighting device 400 may be defined as a lighting module or a light-emitting module.
[0037] The lighting device 400 may include a reflection member 410 disposed between the substrate 401 and the resin layer 420. The lighting device 400 may emit light emitted from the plurality of light-emitting devices 100 as surface light. The lighting device 400 may be defined as a light-emitting unit or a light source module. The lighting device 400 may include one light-emitting unit or a plurality of light-emitting units on the substrate 401. Here, the lighting device 400 may include a first side surface S1 and a second side surface S2 on opposite sides in the second direction Y, and a third side surface S3 and a fourth side surface S4 on opposite sides in the first direction X. The first side surface S1 and the second side surface S2 may face each other and may be on opposite sides of the substrate 401 and the resin layer 420. The third side surface S3 and the fourth side surface S4 may face each other and may be on different sides of the substrate 401 and the resin layer 420. The resin layer 420 covers the plurality of light-emitting devices 100, guides the light emitted from each light-emitting device 100, and emits the guided light in the form of surface light through the upper surface. The resin layer 420 may eliminate a light guide plate made of a transparent acrylic (e.g., PMMA) material and use a resin material (such as silicone resin or epoxy resin having a thin thickness) as the light guide member.
[0038] The substrate 401 may include a printed circuit board (PCB). For example, the substrate 410 may include at least one of a resin-based PCB, a metal core PCB, a flexible material PCB, a ceramic material PCB, and an FR-4 substrate. When the substrate 401 is a metal core PCB with a metal layer disposed at the bottom, the heat dissipation efficiency of the light-emitting device 100 can be improved. The substrate 401 may be electrically connected to a plurality of light-emitting devices 100. The substrate 401 includes a wiring layer (not shown) on the upper side, and the wiring layer may be electrically connected to a plurality of light-emitting devices 100. The plurality of light-emitting devices 100 may be connected in series, parallel, or series-parallel through the wiring layer. The substrate 401 may be used as a base member or a support member disposed below the plurality of light-emitting devices 100 and the resin layer 420. The substrate 401 may be provided as a transparent material or an opaque material. When the substrate 401 is a transparent material, the light emitted from the light-emitting device 100 may be extracted to the lower side of the substrate 401. The substrate 401 may include an insulating layer (not shown) covering the wiring layer, and the insulating layer may be implemented in white. In this case, the reflection function may be achieved without the reflection member 410.
[0039] The upper surface of the substrate 401 may be a flat plane or a curved surface. The thickness of the substrate 401 may be the height in the vertical direction or the Z direction. According to the shape of the lamp or the lighting device 400, the substrate 401 may have a long strip shape, a polygonal shape, or a curved shape in one direction. The substrate 401 may have a longer length in the first direction X in which light is emitted, or a longer length in the second direction Y orthogonal to the direction in which light is emitted. In the drawings, the X direction may be the first direction, the Y direction may be the second direction, and the Z direction may be the direction orthogonal to the first direction and the second direction. The length of the substrate 401 in the first direction X may be greater than or less than the width in the second direction Y. Additionally, the side surfaces (e.g., S1, S2) of the substrate 401 in the length direction may be flat planes or curved surfaces. For example, the substrate 401 may include a reflection member 410. The reflection member 410 may be an insulating layer that protects the circuit pattern on which pads are disposed on the substrate 401, or a reflective material layer.
[0040] A plurality of light emitting devices 100 are arranged on a substrate 401 and emit light in a first direction X. The plurality of light emitting devices 100 may be arranged in one row or two rows. The light emitting devices 100 may be arranged in an M×N matrix on the substrate 401, and M and N may be integers greater than or equal to 2. The plurality of light emitting devices 100 may emit light in one direction or in directions facing each other. As another example, each of the plurality of light emitting devices 100 may emit light in a second direction Y. Additionally, at least one of the plurality of light emitting devices 100 may emit light in a direction between the first direction and the second direction. As another example, the plurality of light emitting devices 100 may be arranged along two side surfaces S3 and S4 of the substrate 401 and may emit light toward the opposite side surfaces S3 and S4. Here, the plurality of light emitting devices 100 may be arranged to be staggered from each other on the two side surfaces S3 and S4 of the substrate 401 rather than facing each other.
[0041] The light emitting device 100 may have a light emitting surface 81 that emits light with the highest light intensity on one side (e.g., S4), and the light emitting surface 81 may extend, for example, in a third direction Z or in a vertical direction with respect to the horizontal upper surface of the substrate 401. The light emitting surface 81 may be a vertical plane, or may include a concave surface or a convex surface. The light emitting device 100 may include at least one light emitting chip. Each light emitting device 100 may include a package having a plurality of light emitting chips 71 and 72 or a package in which at least one light emitting chip is encapsulated. The light emitting chips 71 and 72 may be molded by a molding member 80. The light emitting chips 71 and 72 may be arranged in a plurality in a direction Y orthogonal to the first direction X, and may include, for example, a first light emitting chip 71 and a second light emitting chip 72 spaced apart from each other.
[0042] The light emitting surface 81 of each light emitting device 100 may be the outer surface of the molding member 80. The molding member 80 may be a transparent resin material such as silicone resin or epoxy resin. The light emitting chips 71 and 72 may emit at least one of blue, red, green, ultraviolet (UV), and infrared light, and each light emitting device 100 may emit at least one of white, blue, red, green, and infrared light. Each of the first light emitting chip 71 and the second light emitting chip 72 may emit the same color or different colors. The material of the molding member 80 may be the same as or different from the material of the resin layer 420.
[0043] The light-emitting device 100 may be a side-view type in which the bottom is electrically connected to the substrate 401, but is not limited thereto. As another example, the light-emitting device 100 may be an LED chip or a top-view package. The light-emitting surface 81 of the light-emitting device 100 may be provided on at least one side of the light-emitting device 100 other than the upper surface. The light-emitting surface 81 may be a side adjacent to the substrate 401 or a side perpendicular to the upper surface of the substrate 401. The light-emitting surface 81 is provided on a side between the lower surface and the upper surface of the light-emitting device 100 and emits the highest-intensity light in the first direction. The light-emitting surface 81 of the light-emitting device 100 may be a surface adjacent to the reflection member 410, or may be a surface perpendicular to the upper surface of the substrate 401 or the upper surface of the reflection member 410. The area of the light-emitting surface 81 of each light-emitting device 100 may be 120% or less of the area of the upper surface of the light-emitting device 100, for example, 80% to 120% or 80% to 100%. The area of the light-emitting surface 81 of each light-emitting device 100 may be 90% ± 10% of the area of the upper surface of the light-emitting device 100.
[0044] A part of the light emitted through the light-emitting surface 81 of the light-emitting device 100 may travel in a direction parallel to the upper surface of the substrate 401, be reflected by the reflection member 410, or may travel toward the upper surface of the resin layer 420. For example, the thickness of the light-emitting device 100 may be 3 mm or less, for example, in the range of 0.4 mm to 3 mm. The length ( Figure 2 D1) of the light-emitting device 100 in the second direction may be 1.5 times or more the thickness of the light-emitting device 100. The light direction angle of the light emitted in the first direction X of the light-emitting device 100 in the ±Y direction may be wider than the light direction angle in the ±Z direction. The light direction angle of the light-emitting device 100 in the second direction may be 110 degrees or more, for example, 120 degrees to 160 degrees or 140 degrees or more. The light direction angle of the light-emitting device 100 in the third direction may be 110 degrees or more, for example, in the range of 120 degrees to 140 degrees.
[0045] The reflection member 410 may be a layer separately bonded to the upper part of the substrate 401 or a layer protecting the upper part of the substrate 401. For example, the reflection member 410 may be provided between the substrate 401 and the resin layer 420. The reflection member 410 may be provided in the form of a film. The reflection member 410 may be bonded to the upper surface of the substrate 401. The area of the reflection member 410 may be smaller than the area of the upper surface of the substrate 401. The reflection member 410 may be spaced apart from the edge of the substrate 401, and the resin layer 420 may be attached to the substrate 401 in the spaced area. At this time, peeling of the edge portion of the reflection member 410 can be prevented.
[0046] The reflective member 410 may include a plurality of openings 417, and the lower part of each light-emitting device 100 is disposed in the opening 417. The upper surface of the substrate 401 is exposed through the opening 417 of the reflective member 410, and the lower parts of each light-emitting device 100 may be electrically coupled. The size of each opening 417 may be set to be equal to or larger than the size of each light-emitting device 100. The reflective member 410 may be in contact with the upper surface of the substrate 401, or may be adhered between the resin layer 420 and the substrate 401. Here, when a highly reflective material is coated on the upper surface of the substrate 401, the reflective member 410 may be removed.
[0047] The reflective member 410 may be formed to have a thickness thinner than the thickness of the light-emitting device 100. The thickness of the reflective member 410 may include a range of 0.2 mm ± 0.02 mm. The lower part of the light-emitting device 100 may penetrate through the opening 417 of the reflective member 410, and the upper part of the light-emitting device 100 may protrude. The light-emitting surface 81 of each light-emitting device 100 may be disposed in a direction perpendicular to the upper surface of the reflective member 410.
[0048] The reflective member 410 may contain a metal material or a non-metal material. The metal material may include metals such as aluminum, silver, or gold. The non-metal material may contain a plastic material or a resin material. The resin material may be a reflective material added to silicone resin or epoxy resin, such as metal oxides (e.g., TiO 2 , Al 2 O 3 , SiO 2 ). The reflective member 410 may be implemented as a single layer or multiple layers, and the light reflection efficiency may be improved through this layer structure. The reflective member 410 according to an embodiment of the present invention may increase the amount of light by reflecting incident light, so that the light is evenly distributed.
[0049] The resin layer 420 may be disposed on the substrate 401. The resin layer 420 may be placed on the substrate 401. The resin layer 420 may face the substrate 401. The resin layer 420 may be adhered to the upper surface of the substrate 401 or the upper surface of the reflective member 410. The resin layer 420 may be disposed on the entire upper surface or a part of the upper surface of the substrate 401. The lower surface area of the resin layer 420 may be equal to or smaller than the upper surface area of the substrate 401. The resin layer 420 may be formed of a transparent material and may guide or diffuse light. The resin layer 420 may contain a UV curable resin material, may be used to replace a light guide plate, and may have the effect of conveniently controlling the refractive index and thickness.
[0050] Since the resin layer 420 is provided as a layer for guiding light with resin, it can be set to a thinner thickness than in the case of glass and can be set as a flexible plate. The resin layer 420 can emit the point light sources emitted from each light-emitting device 100 in the form of linear light or surface light. The resin layer 420 can include beads (not shown), and the beads can diffuse and reflect incident light, thereby increasing the amount of light. The beads can be set in the range of 0.01 to 0.3% with respect to the weight of the resin layer 420. The beads can be composed of any one selected from silicon, silica, glass bubbles, PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate), urethane, Zn, Zr, Al 2 O 3 and acrylic, and the particle size of the beads can be in the range of about 1 μm to about 20 μm, but is not limited thereto.
[0051] The thickness of the resin layer 420 can be 1.8 mm or more, for example, in the range of 1.8 mm to 2.5 mm. If the thickness of the resin layer 420 is thicker than the above range, the brightness may decrease, and it may be difficult to set a flexible module due to the increase in the module thickness. If the thickness of the resin layer 420 is less than the above range, it is difficult to provide a surface light source with uniform brightness. The resin layer 420 seals the periphery of each of the plurality of light-emitting devices 100, thereby protecting each light-emitting device 100 and reducing the loss of light emitted from each light-emitting device 100. The upper part of each light-emitting device 100 can be buried in the lower part of the resin layer 420. The resin layer 420 can be in contact with the surface (e.g., a plurality of side surfaces and upper surface) of each light-emitting device 100, so that it can be in contact with the light-emitting surface 81 of each light-emitting device 100. A part of the resin layer 420 can be provided in the opening 417 of the reflection member 410.
[0052] The adhesive layer 415 can be an adhesive material such as silicone resin or epoxy resin, or can contain a diffusing material. The diffusing material can contain at least one of polyester (PET), polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), or polycarbonate (PC). The adhesive layer 415 can be a transparent resin material. The adhesive layer 415 can be adhered to the upper surface of the resin layer 420. The adhesive layer 415 can adhere the optical film 430 to the upper surface of the resin layer 420. The adhesive layer 415 can have a plurality of opening regions, and each of the plurality of light-shielding members is provided in the plurality of opening regions. The adhesive layer 415 can adhere to the outer periphery of each light-shielding member 450, the lower surface of the optical film 430, and the upper surface of the resin layer 420. The upper surface area of the adhesive layer 415 within the upper surface of the resin layer 420 can be larger than the upper surface area of the light-shielding member 450.
[0053] Each of the plurality of light-shielding members 450 may include a light-shielding pattern P1. Each of the plurality of light-shielding members 450 may include a light-shielding pattern P1 and an air gap G1 disposed around the light-shielding pattern P1. Each of the plurality of light-shielding members 450 may include a light-shielding pattern P1, an air gap G1, and an opening region 427. The air gap G1 and the opening region 427 may be defined as an air layer. The opening region 427 may be a region where the adhesive layer 415 is removed. Conversely, the opening region 427 may include the air gap G1. Since the region of the air layer completely reflects light, it can be used as a light-shielding member.
[0054] Each of the plurality of light-shielding members 450 may face the upper surface of the resin layer 420. The plurality of light-shielding members 450 may overlap with respective light-emitting devices 100 in the vertical direction or the third direction Z. A part of each of the plurality of light-shielding members 450 may overlap with each of the plurality of light-emitting devices 100 in the vertical direction. The plurality of light-shielding members 450 may be disposed between the resin layer 420 and the optical film 430. The light-shielding member 450 may have a light-shielding pattern P1 and may be formed on the lower surface of the optical film 430.
[0055] The optical film 430 may include a plurality of light-shielding members 450 having a light-shielding pattern P1 printed on the lower surface. When the light-shielding pattern P1 is printed on the lower surface of the optical film 430, the light-shielding effect caused by the opening region 427 between the optical film 430 and the resin layer 420 and the light-shielding effect caused by the air gap G1 between the light-shielding patterns P1 on the lower surface of the optical film 430 can be improved. This light-shielding effect can improve the light diffusion efficiency, thereby improving the light uniformity. As another example, the light-shielding member 450 may have a light-shielding pattern P1 and may be printed on the upper surface of the optical film 430. The light-shielding member 450 has a light-shielding pattern and may be formed on the upper surface of the resin layer 430. As another example, when the optical film 430 is arranged in a plurality, the light-shielding member 450 may be disposed between the plurality of optical films and may be formed on the upper surface of the lower optical film or the lower surface of the upper optical film.
[0056] The light-shielding member 450 may be disposed inside the adhesive layer 415 or between regions of the adhesive layer 415 (i.e., in the opening region). The light-shielding member 450 may penetrate the adhesive layer 415 and may or may not be in contact with at least one of the resin layer 420 and the optical film 430. A region spaced apart from the inside of the adhesive layer 415 and / or the upper surface of the resin layer 420 may be defined as the opening region 427. The opening region 427 may provide a refractive index different from that of the light-shielding member 450 and the adhesive layer 415, thereby improving the light diffusion efficiency. The lowermost surface of the light-shielding member 450 may be spaced apart from or not in contact with the upper surface of a layer located, for example, below the upper surface of the resin layer 420. The opening region 427 may be a vacuum region or a region without a pattern.
[0057] The light-shielding member 450 may include an air region between the plurality of light-shielding patterns P1 and an air gap G1 that is an external air region of the light-shielding pattern P1. The air gap G1 is a region between the light-shielding patterns P1 and may be connected to each other. At least a part of the air gap G1 may be connected to the opening region 427.
[0058] The interval B1 between adjacent light-shielding members 450 may be smaller than the interval X1 between adjacent light-emitting devices 100. The interval B1 between adjacent light-shielding members 450 may be greater than the interval X2 between an adjacent light-shielding member 450 and a light-emitting device 100. The interval X2 between an adjacent light-shielding member 450 and a light-emitting device 100 may be 1 mm or more and may be smaller than the center length of the light-shielding member 450 in the first direction X. The ratio of the interval X1 between adjacent light-shielding members 100 and the interval X2 between an adjacent light-shielding member 450 and a light-emitting device 100 may be in the range of 2.5:1 to 3.5:1. When this ratio is satisfied, the light uniformity due to the light-shielding effect may be improved. Each light-shielding member 450 may be spaced apart from the upper surface of the resin layer 420. The light-shielding member 450 may be spaced apart from the outside of the adhesive layer 415. The plurality of light-shielding members 450 have the same shape and may overlap the upper part of each light-emitting device 100. Each light-shielding member 450 may be disposed in a region perpendicular to each light-emitting device 100 on the resin layer 420, an emission-side region on the emission side of each light-emitting device 100, and two emission-side regions.
[0059] The light-shielding member 450 may be a region printed with a white material. The light-shielding member 450 may be formed of a light-shielding material having at least one of diffusing agents such as TiO 2 , Al 2 O 3 , CaCO 3 , BaSO 4 and silicon in the resin material. The light-shielding member 450 may reflect the light emitted through the light-emitting surface 81 of the light-emitting device 100, thereby reducing the occurrence of hot spots on the optical film 430 that overlaps the light-emitting device 100 in the vertical direction. The light-shielding member 450 may print the light-shielding pattern P1 using a light-shielding material. The light-shielding member 450 may be formed in such a manner as to be printed on the lower surface of the optical film 430. The light-shielding member 450 is a material that does not block 100% of the incident light, may have a transmittance lower than the reflectance, and may perform the functions of light-shielding and diffusion. The transmittance of the light-shielding member 450 may be less than 12%, for example, in the range of 6% to 11%. If the transmittance of the light-shielding member 450 is lower than the above range, dark portions may occur, and if it is higher than the above range, the light uniformity may be reduced.
[0060] The light-shielding member 450 may be formed as a single layer or multiple layers and may have different pattern shapes according to regions. The thickness of the light-shielding member 450 may have different thicknesses or heights according to regions. The light-shielding member 450 may have the thickest thickness in the region overlapping with the light-emitting surface 81 of each light-emitting device 100 and the thinnest thickness in the edge region. In the light-shielding member 450, based on the region overlapping with the light-emitting surface 81 of the light-emitting device 100, the thickness of the region closer to the light-emitting surface 81 may be thicker, and the thickness of the region farther from the light-emitting surface 81 may be thinner.
[0061] The minimum pattern in the pattern P1 of the light-shielding member 450 may have a polygonal shape, such as a square, a circle, or an ellipse. The maximum pattern in the pattern P1 of the light-shielding member 450 may have a shape with an area larger than the upper surface area of the light-emitting device 100. Here, the maximum pattern may be the pattern layer having the thickest thickness in each light-shielding member 450. The light-shielding member 450 may be provided to be higher than the upper surface of the resin layer 420. The lowermost surface of the light-shielding member 450 may be provided to be higher than the upper surface of the resin layer 420. Depending on the thickness or height of the optical film 430, the light-shielding member 450 may include at least two layers, such as at least three layers.
[0062] The thickness of the light-shielding member 450 may be 35 μm or more, for example, in the range of 35 μm to 200 μm. When the thickness of the light-shielding member 450 is less than 35 μm, it may be difficult to effectively shield the light incident from the lower part of the light-shielding member 450, or the transmittance may increase, resulting in uneven light distribution on the light-shielding member 450. In addition, when the thickness of the light-shielding member 450 exceeds 200 μm, although the formation of hot spots of the light emitted from each light-emitting device 100 can be effectively controlled, the light emitted from each light-emitting device 100 may be lost during passing through the light-shielding member 450, resulting in a decrease in overall brightness. Therefore, it is preferable that the thickness of the light-shielding member 450 satisfies the above range.
[0063] The minimum thickness of the light-shielding member 450 is 35 μm or more, and can satisfy, for example, the range of 35 μm to 50 μm, and preferably can satisfy the range of 35 μm to 45 μm. If the minimum thickness of the light-shielding member 450 is less than the above range, the transmittance may exceed the above-disclosed range and the light uniformity may decrease. If it is greater than the above range, the above-disclosed transmittance range may decrease and dark portions may appear. The maximum thickness of the light-shielding member 450 is 100 μm or more, and can satisfy, for example, the range of 100 μm to 200 μm. Preferably, it can satisfy the range of 110 μm to 150 μm or 110 μm to 130 μm. If the maximum thickness of the light-shielding member 450 is less than the above range, the transmittance of light may fall outside the above-disclosed transmittance range, and the light uniformity may deteriorate. If the maximum thickness of the light-shielding member 450 is greater than the above range, the transmittance of light may be lower than the above-disclosed transmittance range, and dark portions may appear. The light-shielding member 450 may include a region having an intermediate thickness (i.e., an intermediate layer). The thickness of the intermediate region is 70 μm or more, and can satisfy, for example, the range of 70 μm to 140 μm, and preferably satisfies the range of 70 μm to 110 μm or 75 μm to 100 μm. If the thickness of the intermediate region of the light-shielding member 450 is less than the above range, the transmittance of light may fall outside the above-disclosed transmittance range, and the light uniformity may decrease. If the intermediate thickness of the light-shielding member 450 is greater than the above range, the transmittance of light may be lower than the above-disclosed transmittance range, and dark portions may appear. The maximum thickness may be greater than the sum of the minimum thickness and the intermediate thickness.
[0064] As Figure 4As shown, the light-shielding member 450 may include a first light-shielding portion 451, a second light-shielding portion 452, and a third light-shielding portion 453. At least one or all of the first light-shielding portion 451, the second light-shielding portion 452, and the third light-shielding portion 453 may contain a light-shielding material. The first light-shielding portion 451 may have a minimum thickness, the second light-shielding portion 452 may have a medium thickness, and the third light-shielding portion 453 may have a maximum thickness. The upper surface area of the first light-shielding portion 451 may be larger than the upper surface area of each of the first light-shielding portion 451 and the second light-shielding portion 452. Preferably, it may be larger than the sum of the upper surface area of the first light-shielding portion 451 and the upper surface area of the second light-shielding portion 452. The light uniformity due to light shielding may be improved by the upper surface areas of these light-shielding portions 451, 452, and 453. Each of the first light-shielding portion 451, the second light-shielding portion 452, and the third light-shielding portion 453 may not overlap with each other in the vertical direction. The pattern of each of the first light-shielding portion 451, the second light-shielding portion 452, and the third light-shielding portion 453 may be formed without a circular upper corner or upper circumference. The uniformity of the pattern of each light-shielding member is improved by these light-shielding members, and the brightness and luminous flux may be increased. The light-shielding member 450 may include a light-shielding member having different thicknesses for each region. The light-shielding member 450 may be formed of the same material of the first light-shielding portion 451, the second light-shielding portion 452, and the third light-shielding portion 453 having different thicknesses.
[0065] In the light-shielding member 450, the first light-shielding portion 451 may include a first region having a dense pattern on the light-emitting surface 81 of the light-emitting device 100 and a second region having a sparse pattern as compared with the first region. The pattern of the first light-shielding portion 451 may be provided around the second light-shielding portion 452 and the third light-shielding portion 453. The first region having the dense pattern covers the upper portion of the light-emitting surface 81 of the light-emitting device 100, thereby improving the distribution of the light reaching the optical film 430 through the first light-shielding portion 451. The gap between the pattern of the first region and the pattern of the second region of the first light-shielding portion 451 may gradually increase as the distance from the light-emitting surface 81 of the light-emitting device 100 increases. The size of each pattern of the first region may gradually decrease as the distance from the light-emitting surface 81 of the light-emitting device 100 increases. Both sides of the third light-shielding portion 453 may be in contact with or separated from the first light-shielding portion 451, and one side and the other side may be in contact with or separated from the second light-shielding portion 452. The outer surface of the second light-shielding portion 452 may be in contact with or separated from the first light-shielding portion 451 and the third light-shielding portion 453. The light-emitting surface 81 of the light-emitting device 100 may overlap the second light-shielding portion 452 and the third light-shielding portion 453 in the vertical direction. The light-emitting surface 81 of the light-emitting device 100 may overlap the light-shielding pattern P1 in the vertical direction. Since the light intensity of the light traveling in two directions in the second direction Y based on the light-emitting device 100 is at least 50% less than the light intensity in the first direction X, even if the lengths of the second light-shielding portion 452 and the third light-shielding portion 453 in the second direction Y are set to be the same, a decrease in light-shielding efficiency can be prevented.
[0066] As Figure 1 and Figure 2 shown, when viewed from the top view of the light-shielding member 450, the upper surface area of the region formed by the boundary line R1 connecting the outer edges of the light-shielding pattern P1 may be more than 5 times, for example, 5 to 12 times or 6 to 10 times the upper surface area of the light-emitting device 100. The maximum area of the region formed by the boundary line R1 connecting the outer patterns of the light-shielding member 450 may be the upper surface area of the light-shielding member 450. The upper surface area of the light-shielding member 450 may be the area of the region connecting the outer edges of the uppermost patterns. At this time, the pitch between the light-emitting devices may be 15 mm or more, for example, 15 mm to 25 mm. Here, the boundary line R1 may be the boundary line between the light-shielding pattern P1 and the adhesive layer 415. The boundary line R1 may be the boundary line between the air gap G1 between the light-shielding pattern P1 and the adhesive layer 415. The boundary line R1 may be the contour line of the opening region 427 of the adhesive layer 415.
[0067] The lower surface area of the light-shielding member 450 may be the area of the region connecting the outer edges of the patterns of the third light-shielding portion 453 and may be the minimum area. The lower surface area of each light-shielding member 450 may be at least 1 times, for example, in the range of 1 to 2.5 times or 1.5 to 2.5 times, the upper surface area of each light-emitting device 100. Accordingly, the problem of the light-emitting device 100 being visible from the outside can be reduced, and hot spots on the area of the light-emitting device 100 can be reduced, thereby providing a uniform light distribution over the entire area.
[0068] According to the outer surface region of the pattern P1, each of the plurality of light-shielding members 450 may include a first edge 461, a second edge 462, and a third edge 463. The first edge 461 is a region that is at least partially adjacent to or overlaps in the vertical direction with each light-emitting device 100, the third edge 463 is a region opposite to the first edge 461, the second edge 462 is a line on both sides in the second direction Y of each light-shielding member 450, and may have a double convex shape. The first edge 461 has a virtual straight line shape, the third edge 463 has a virtual straight line shape and may have a straight line length longer than the straight line length of the first edge 461. The front portion of the third edge 463 includes protruding patterns 465 and 466 that protrude forward, and the protruding patterns 465 and 466 may face the light-emitting chips 71 and 72 of the light-emitting device 100 in the horizontal plane, so that the intensity of the light emitted from each of the light-emitting chips 71 and 72 can be reduced.
[0069] The convex shape of the second edge 462 of the light-shielding member 450 may protrude toward the outside or the second side surface S2 in the region between one end of the first edge 461 and one end of the third edge 463, and may protrude toward the outside or the first side surface S1 in the region between the other end of the first edge 461 and the other end of the third edge 463. The length of the first edge 461 of the light-shielding member 450 in the second direction is set to be more than 0.8 mm longer than the length D1 of the light-emitting device 100 to cover both sides of the light-emitting surface of the light-emitting device 100 and prevent hot spots caused by the light emitted from the light-emitting device 100. The ratio of the length D1 of the light-emitting device 100 to the length C3 of the light-shielding member 450 may satisfy the following condition.
[0070] Condition: 2 < C3 / D1 < 3
[0071] If the above condition is satisfied, the light uniformity of the light-shielding member 450 and its surrounding environment can be improved. If it is less than the above range, hot spots may be generated or the light uniformity may deteriorate, and if it is greater than the above range, light loss or dark portions may be generated.
[0072] The maximum length C3 in the second direction Y of the light-shielding member 450 may vary according to the length D1 in the second direction Y of the light-emitting device 100. The maximum length C3 may be 9 mm or more, for example, within the range of 9 mm to 20 mm or 10 mm to 18 mm. The maximum length B3 in the first direction X of the light-shielding member 450 may be equal to or less than the maximum length C3 in the second direction Y. The maximum length B3 in the first direction X of the light-shielding member 450 may be 7 mm or more, for example, within the range of 7 mm to 13 mm. The length of the light-shielding member 450 may cover the upper side, front side, and both side surfaces of the light-emitting surface 81 of the light-emitting device 100, prevent hot spots caused by the light emitted from the light-emitting device 100, and improve the light uniformity.
[0073] The adhesive layer 415 may be in contact with the outer side of the light-shielding member 450 or spaced apart by a distance less than 1 mm. A straight line K1 perpendicular to the back surface of the light-emitting device 100 may not overlap with the light-shielding member 450. A straight line K2 perpendicular to the front surface (or light-emitting surface) of the light-emitting device 100 may overlap with the light-shielding member 450 or may overlap with a region having the maximum thickness of the light-shielding member 450. The ratio of the length D2 in the first direction X of the light-emitting device 100 to the maximum length B3 in the first direction X of the light-shielding member 450 may satisfy the following conditions.
[0074] Condition: 3 < B3 / D2 < 7 or 4 ≤ B3 / D2 ≤ 6
[0075] If the above conditions are satisfied, the light uniformity of the light-shielding member 450 and its surrounding environment can be improved. If it is less than the above range, hot spots may be generated or the light uniformity may deteriorate, and if it is greater than the above range, light loss or dark portions may be generated.
[0076] Embodiments of the present invention can optimize the light extraction efficiency and light uniformity based on the relationship between the area of the light-shielding pattern P1 of the light-shielding member 450 and the area of the air gap G1. For example, the upper surface area of the air gap G1 is 1.1 times or less, for example, 0.9 times to 1.1 times the upper surface area of the light-shielding pattern P1. When within the above range, a reduction in the light efficiency of the lighting device can be prevented, and the light uniformity can be 80% or more. That is, the light uniformity considered to be a uniform surface light source is 80% or more, and when the upper surface area of the air gap G1 is 0.9 times to 1.1 times the upper surface area of the light-shielding pattern P1, embodiments of the present invention can have a light uniformity of 80% or more. Additionally, if the ratio of the upper surface area of the air gap G1 to the upper surface area of the light-shielding pattern P1 is less than the above range, the light-shielding effect of the light-shielding pattern P1 may decrease, and if the area of the air gap G1 exceeds the above range, the adhesion area of the light-shielding member 450 may decrease, and the light distribution on the light-shielding member 450 may be non-uniform. The ratio of the upper surface area of the air gap G1 to the upper surface area of the light-shielding pattern P1 can be the ratio within each light-shielding member 450. The ratio of the upper surface area of the air gap G1 to the upper surface area of the light-shielding pattern P1 can be the ratio within each opening region in the adhesive layer 415.
[0077] Referring Figure 5 and Figure 6 , when the area of the light-shielding pattern P1 of each light-shielding member 450 is Ap1 and the area of the air gap G1 within each light-shielding member is AG1, and when the ratio of AG1 / Ap1 is 80%, 90%, 100%, 110%, and 120%, the outer shape of the light-shielding pattern and the shape of the air gap can be as Figure 5 shown.
[0078] When the ratio of AG1 / Ap1 is 80%, the light-shielding pattern P1 is arranged inside and outside the boundary line R1, and the air gap G1 exists inside the boundary line R1. When the area of the air gap G1 is 80% of the area of the light-shielding pattern P1, both the light-shielding pattern P1 and the air gap G1 exist inside the boundary line R1, and the light-shielding pattern P1 and the adhesive layer 415 exist outside the boundary line R1. The boundary line R1 can be formed along the opening region 427 of the adhesive layer 415, and the adhesive layer 415 is provided in the gap between the light-shielding patterns P1 and is provided below the light-shielding pattern P1 outside the boundary line R1.
[0079] The outer pattern of the light-shielding pattern P1 can be provided in the adhesive layer 415 outside the opening region 427, or can be in contact with the adhesive layer 415. The outer light-shielding pattern P1 arranged in the adhesive layer 415 can be Figure 4Pattern of the first light-shielding portion 451 shown. The adhesive layer 415 may be provided on the outer lower surface of the light-shielding pattern P1. In the light-shielding pattern P1, the inner pattern may not contact the adhesive layer 415 inside the opening region 427. The upper surface area of the light-shielding pattern P1 may be within the range of 125% ± 3% of the upper surface area of the air gap G1. Additionally, the ratio of the area where the adhesive layer 415 and the light-shielding pattern P1 contact each other may be within the range of 20% ± 3% of the light-shielding pattern P1.
[0080] When the ratio of AG1 / Ap1 is 90%, the light-shielding pattern P1 and the air gap G1 are provided inside the boundary line R1, and the light-shielding pattern P1 and the adhesive layer 415 are provided outside the boundary line R1. The adhesive layer 415 fills the gap between the light-shielding patterns P1 outside the boundary line R1. The outer pattern of the light-shielding pattern P1 may be arranged inside the adhesive layer 415 outside the opening region 427, or may contact the adhesive layer 415. The adhesive layer 415 may be arranged on the lower surface of the outer pattern among the light-shielding patterns P1. The pattern in the light-shielding pattern P1 arranged inside the adhesive layer 415 may be Figure 4 Pattern of the first light-shielding portion 451 shown. In the light-shielding pattern P1, the inner pattern may not contact the adhesive layer 415 inside the opening region 427.
[0081] The ratio of the area where the adhesive layer 415 and the light-shielding pattern P1 contact each other may be within the range of 10% ± 3% of the light-shielding pattern P1. Here, the boundary line R1 is the boundary between the adhesive layer 415 and the air gap G1.
[0082] When the ratio of AG1 / Apl is 100%, the light-shielding pattern P1 and the air gap G1 are arranged inside the boundary line R1, and the adhesive layer 415 is provided outside the boundary line R1. The adhesive layer 415 is provided outside the boundary line R1 along the outer side of the light-shielding pattern P1. The ratio of the contact between the adhesive layer 415 and the light-shielding pattern P1 may be within the range of ± 3% of the light-shielding pattern P1. Here, the boundary line R1 is the boundary between the adhesive layer 415 and the air gap G1 and the boundary between the light-shielding pattern P1 and the adhesive layer 415.
[0083] When the ratio of AG1 / Ap1 is 110%, the light-shielding pattern P1 and the air gap G1 are provided inside the boundary line R1, and the adhesive layer 415 is provided outside the boundary line R1. The boundary line R1 is the boundary line between the contour line of the air gap G1 and the adhesive layer 415. Here, for the sake of explanation, the area between the air gap G1 and the boundary line R1 may be the opening region 427 and may be defined as the region of the air gap G1. Here, the boundary line R1 is the boundary between the adhesive layer 415 and the air gap G1 or the opening region 427. The boundary line R1 is the boundary between the adhesive layer 415 and the opening region of the adhesive layer 415.
[0084] The upper surface area of the air gap G1 inside the boundary line R1 can be 10% ± 3% larger than the upper surface area of the light-shielding pattern P1. The adhesive layer 415 can be formed along the contour line of the opening area 427, and the lower surface area of the opening area 427 can be approximately 10% ± 3% larger than the upper surface area of the light-shielding pattern P1. In this structure, the contact area between the outer side of the light-shielding pattern P1 and the adhesive layer 415 based on the boundary line can be 3% or less, or they may not contact each other. Since the outer side of the light-shielding pattern P1 is set more inward than the boundary line R1 inside the opening area 427, the upper surface area of the light-shielding pattern P1 can be 97% or less of the area of the opening area 427, for example, 85% to 97%.
[0085] When the ratio of AG1 / Ap1 is 120%, the light-shielding pattern P1 and the air gap G1 are set inside the boundary line R1, and the adhesive layer 415 is set outside the boundary line R1. The boundary line R1 is the boundary line between the contour line of the air gap G1 and the adhesive layer 415. Here, for ease of explanation, the area between the air gap G1 and the boundary line R1 can be the opening area 427 and can be defined as the area of the air gap G1. The upper surface area of the air gap G1 inside the boundary line R1 can be 20% ± 3% larger than the upper surface area of the light-shielding pattern P1. The adhesive layer 415 can be formed along the contour line of the opening area 427, and the lower surface area of the opening area 427 can be approximately 20% ± 3% larger than the upper surface area of the light-shielding pattern P1.
[0086] Since the outer side of the light-shielding pattern P1 is set more inward than the boundary line R1 inside the opening area 427, the upper surface area of the light-shielding pattern P1 can be 87% or less of the area of the opening area 427, for example, 75% to 87%. In this structure, based on the boundary line, the contact area between the light-shielding pattern P1 and the adhesive layer 415 can be 2% or less, or they may not contact each other. The boundary line R1 is the boundary between the adhesive layer 415 and the opening area 427. The boundary line R1 is the boundary between the adhesive layer 415 and the opening area of the adhesive layer 415.
[0087] In an embodiment of the present invention, the upper surface area of the air gap in the adhesive layer can satisfy 90% to 110% of the ratio of the upper surface area of the light-shielding pattern. For example, when the ratio of AG1 / Ap1 is 90% to 100%, the upper surface area of the air gap G1 in each light-shielding member 450 can satisfy the range of 0.9 times to 1 time the upper surface area of the light-shielding pattern P1. When the ratio of AG1 / Ap1 is 100% to 110%, the upper surface area of the air gap G1 in each opening area of the adhesive layer 415 can satisfy the range of 1 time to 1.1 times the upper surface area of the light-shielding pattern P1.
[0088] Figure 6It is a graph comparing the light efficiency and light uniformity when the ratio of AG1 / Ap1 is 80% to 120% in the lighting device according to an embodiment of the present invention. When the ratio of AG1 / Ap1 is 90% to 110%, the light uniformity is 80% or more. When the ratio of AG1 / Ap1 is 80% to 120%, the light efficiency is 94% or more. When the ratio of AG1 / Ap1 is 80%, the light efficiency is the highest, and the light efficiency gradually decreases as the ratio of AG1 / Ap1 increases from 80% to 120%. The light uniformity and light efficiency according to the ratio of AG1 / Ap1 are shown in Table 1.
[0089] [Table 1]
[0090] <![CDATA[A G1 / Ap1 (%)]]> Light uniformity Light efficiency 80 79.0% 122.6% 90 83.6% 113.5% 100 85.5% 100.0% 110 82.0% 98.0% 120 77.7% 96.0%
[0091] The ratio of AG1 / Ap1 is compared based on the opening area of each light-shielding member or each adhesive layer, and the ratio of AG1 / Ap1 can be satisfied in the entire lower surface area of the optical film. Therefore, when the lighting device has a light uniformity of a uniform surface light source regarded as 80% or more, the ratio of the upper surface area of the light-shielding pattern in each light-shielding member to the upper surface area of the air gap can be in the range of 90% to 110%. The standard of 100% light efficiency is set for the case where the upper surface area of the light-shielding pattern is the same as the upper surface area of the air gap, and the light efficiency according to the ratio of AG1 / Ap1 is measured.
[0092] In addition, as shown in Table 2, when the upper surface area of the light-shielding member 450 is 6 to 10 times the upper surface area of the light-emitting device 100, it can be seen that the light uniformity of the obtained lighting device 400 is 80% or more. In addition, when the upper surface area of the light-shielding member 450 is 8 times the upper surface area of the light-emitting device 100, it can be seen that the light uniformity of the lighting device 400 is higher than that in the case where the upper surface area of the light-shielding member 450 is 6 times or 10 times the upper surface area of the light-emitting device 100. The distance X1 between the light-emitting devices can be 15 mm or more, for example, in the range of 15 mm to 25 mm or 17 mm to 23 mm, and for example, the distance A is measured as 18 mm ± 1 mm, the distance B is measured as 20 mm ± 1 mm, and the distance C is measured as 22 mm ± 1 mm. When the distances between the light-emitting devices are A, B, and C, and the upper surface area of the light-shielding member is 6 to 10 times the upper surface area of the light-emitting device, it can be seen that the light-emitting devices have a light uniformity of 80% or more. At this time, when the area of the light-shielding member is the same, it can be seen that the light uniformity when the distance is A is higher than that when the distance is B, and the light uniformity when the distance is B is higher than that when the distance is C. Therefore, when the light uniformity of the uniform surface light source regarded as the lighting device is 80% or more, the upper surface area of each light-shielding member can be in the range of 6 to 10 times the area of each light-emitting device.
[0093] [Table 2]
[0094]
[0095] In addition, for a light uniformity of 80% or more, the ratio of the distance X1 between the light-emitting devices to the distance X2 between the adjacent light-shielding member 450 and the light-emitting device 100 can be set as follows. The distance X2 between the adjacent light-shielding member 450 and the light-emitting device 100 can be in the range of 0.15 times to 0.55 times the distance X1 between the light-emitting devices. For example, when the upper surface area of the light-shielding member 450 is 6 times the upper surface area of the light-emitting device 100, the distance X2 between the adjacent light-shielding member 450 and the light-emitting device 100 can be 0.45 times or more the distance X1 between the light-emitting devices, for example, in the range of 0.45 times to 0.55 times the distance X1 between the light-emitting devices.
[0096] When the upper surface area of the light-shielding member is 8 times the upper surface area of the light-emitting device, the distance X2 between the adjacent light-shielding member 450 and the light-emitting device 100 can be 0.3 times or more the distance X1 between the light-emitting devices 100, for example, in the range of 0.3 to 0.45 times. When the upper surface area of the light-shielding member is 10 times the upper surface area of the light-emitting device, the distance X2 between the adjacent light-shielding member 450 and the light-emitting device 100 can be 0.35 times or less the distance X1 between the light-emitting devices 100, for example, in the range of 0.15 to 0.35 times.
[0097] Table 3 shows that the light uniformity, the distance X1 between the light-emitting devices, and the distance X2 (e.g., the horizontal distance) between the adjacent light-emitting device and the light-shielding member can be obtained as follows according to the ratio of the upper surface area of the light-emitting device to the upper surface area of the light-shielding member.
[0098] [Table 3]
[0099]
[0100] These features in Table 2 and Table 3 can be combined with the configuration in Table 1. Therefore, by adjusting items such as the area of the opening region of the pattern in which the light-shielding member is arranged, the upper surface area of the light-shielding member, the distance between the light-emitting devices, and the upper surface area of the light-emitting device, the light uniformity of the lighting device can be set to 80% or more.
