Systems, methods, and devices for interactive crochet knitting kits and tutorials thereof

Abstract

A system (600), method (614) and apparatus (606) for an interactive crochet knitting kit (100) and a tutorial (702) thereof are disclosed. In one example, a kit (100) for making a bearded needle knit (102), the kit comprising: a length of yarn (104, 204, 304), a first end of the yarn (104, 204, 304) being formed as a pre-initiator (108, 300), the pre-initiator (108, 300) comprising a plurality of bearded needle knitting stitches (206). The kit (100) also includes at least one stitch indicia (214) in at least one of the crochet knitting stitches (206), and a knot (212, 308) for preventing the pre-initiator (108, 300) from spreading. The kit also includes an article including (i) a link to an electronic address (122) having a specification for forming a crochet knitting using the length of yarn and the pre-initiator, and (ii) a code (126) for accessing the specification.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

However, the known crochet and knitting kits have limited practicality for these beginners. For example, the instructions included in known kits may only include written instructions or patterns. Such general tutorials may require the user to piece together various tutorials to learn how to make the kit. For example, after an error occurs, the user can simply reset back to the starting state of the pre-start piece by pulling on the working yarn. When such tension is applied to the working yarn, the crochet piece will unravel back to the backup knot, keeping the pre-start piece intact. Thus, even if the user makes a mistake, if the user wishes to unravel the yarn including the mistake, the user will not have to start over from the beginning. The invention disclosed herein can be configured for complete beginners and is an improvement over the deficiencies of traditional crochet plush toys and general crochet projects.
