[0020] The present invention relates to a three-in-one saw system 100 including a workbench 150 that can utilize an inserted removable circular saw 110 in a variety of different configurations while still allowing a user to remotely use the removable circular saw 110 by removing it from the workbench 150. Figure 3 As shown, the removable circular saw 110 can have an attached base plate 120 for attaching to the underside of the top plate of a workbench 150. The base plate 120 can have an opening 122 for the saw blade of the removable circular saw 110 and four holes 124 for fastening the removable circular saw 110 to various devices. The front holes 124 can be larger than the rear holes 124.

[0021] The workbench 150 is a tool for cutting various materials. The workbench 150 may include a slot 330 to receive the saw blade of the removable circular saw 110. The slot 330 may be located on a portion of the workbench 150 that is recessed and has one or more bolts to secure the removable circular saw 110.

[0022] The recessed area 310 may have a thickness of 1 / 8 inch to maximize the blade height. In the recessed area 310, four bolts 312 may be used to hold the removable circular saw 110. Figure 5As shown, the two front bolts have a larger diameter (3 / 8 inch) and the two rear bolts have a smaller diameter (1 / 4 inch) to prevent the removable circular saw 110 from being placed on the wrong side. The bolts 312 can have wing nuts or clamps to allow tool-free attachment of the removable circular saw 110. To ensure stability, the remaining surface area of the work table 150 can be 1 / 4 inch to 5 / 8 inch thick. As discussed, the base plate 120 of the circular saw is attached to the underside of the work table 150.

[0023] like Figure 7 As shown, the workbench 150 may include a blade guard 320 having a connector 324 positionable in a connection point 322 adjacent to the slot 330 , the blade guard 320 being used to cover the blade of the removable circular saw 110 for safety during cutting. Figure 6 As shown, the workbench 150 may include a miter gauge 340 that allows for angled cuts. The workbench 150 may include a fence member 350, which is a guide that extends parallel to the saw blade and facilitates making straight cuts along the length of the material. The workbench 150 may include a switch or button control, such as an on / off switch 138, to power the circular saw motor, thereby allowing the user to start and stop the cutting action.

[0024] The workbench 150 can be attached to a miter saw system 400, which can include an attachment point 404 for receiving an attachment joint 402 at the end of the workbench 150. The miter saw system 400 can be easily attached to the workbench and secured with a hand-tightening knob 405. The miter saw system 400 can include a vertical column or arm that can be connected to a miter saw extension arm 410 via a pivot 408.

[0025] like Figure 8 and Figure 9 As shown, the miter saw extension arm 410 may have a platform 430 along the length of the extension arm 410 designed to receive the circular saw 110. Figure 9 As shown, the platform 430 may have a slot 432 and a series of bolts 433, including a smaller diameter rear bolt and a larger diameter front bolt, to connect the circular saw 110 to the extension arm 410. The extension arm 410 may be spring loaded, whereby the spring assists in raising the miter saw extension arm 410 after a cut is made. Figure 8As shown, the extension arm 410 may include a handle 420 or grip at the other end opposite the end where the connecting joint 402 is located, which allows the user to lower and control the raising and lowering of the removable circular saw 110. When the extension arm 410 is in the lowered position, it aligns with the slot 330 on the workbench 150 for the removable circular saw 110, whereby the platform 430 rests on top of the workbench 150 when it is in the fully lowered position.

[0026] like Figure 2 As shown, the removable circular saw 110 can be electrically powered by a power cord, whereby at one end of the power cord there is a plug 210 that can be plugged into an electrical outlet or extension cord. The design of the plug matches the electrical configuration of the outlet to ensure a safe and reliable connection. Figure 1 and Figure 2 As shown, the power line may have four conductors: a first live line 201, a second live line 202, a neutral line 203 and a ground line 204. Figure 2 As shown, the plug 210 at the other end of the power cord can have a ground pin 214, a neutral pin 213, a first hot wire pin 211, and a hole for a second hot wire pin 212. In a removable circular saw, the wire for the first hot wire 201 can be connected to the on / off switch of the removable circular saw 110. The wire for the second hot wire 202 bypasses the on / off switch of the removable circular saw 110, and the switch can transfer power from the first hot wire to the second hot wire. The wire for the first hot wire 201 on the power cord is connected to the hot wire of the wall outlet, while the wall outlet has no connection to the second hot wire 202. This design is suitable for removable operation of the circular saw.

[0027] like Figure 4 As shown, when using a table saw and a miter saw, the plug 210 can be connected to the power socket 130 on the workbench 150. The power socket 130 can have a ground interface 134, a neutral interface 133, and a second live interface 132, and is not connected to the first live interface 131. The second live pin 132 is connected to the second live jack 212 on the plug 210 of the power cord. The on / off switch 138 is connected to the second live pin 132 and can turn the connection of the live wire 212 on and off. Figure 6 As shown, the table saw is connected to a power source from a wall outlet via its power cable 190. This power connection design allows for safe operation of the table saw and miter saw.

[0028] Battery power is also convenient for use when the tri-saw system is used away from a wall outlet. During extended work, the battery may need to be recharged. Therefore, being able to use AC power when working near a wall outlet helps conserve battery power. This makes it easy for workers to simultaneously power the same machine with both battery and AC power when working continuously.

[0029] A second embodiment of a three-way saw having an improved electrical connection that allows use of both battery and AC power in the same safety configuration is described below.

[0030] like Figure 11 As shown, the handheld circular saw has a connector base 216 ( Figure 11 ), which has four receiving interfaces: a first live wire 201, a neutral wire 203, a ground wire 204, and a second live wire 202. This is the same as the previously described embodiment. When the battery 600 is attached, the positive terminal 601 is connected to the first live wire 201, and the negative terminal 602 is connected to the neutral wire 203. The connection of the first live wire 201 is connected through the switch of the handheld circular saw.

[0031] The user can connect the AC power source from the wall outlet to the same connector base 216 of the handheld circular saw via the first connector 215. However, this may require removing the battery before connecting. Therefore, the handheld circular saw can only use one power source at a time.

[0032] The AC power supply's first connector 215 also has a first live wire interface 201, a neutral wire interface 203, and a ground wire interface 204. The first live wire interface 201 is connected via the handheld saw's switch. The AC power supply 210 includes a step-down transformer and a rectifier. The transformer reduces the AC voltage to match the battery voltage, and the rectifier converts the AC power to DC. The AC power supply 210 has a first live wire interface 211, a neutral wire interface 213, and a ground wire interface 214.

[0033] like Figure 12 As shown, when using a table saw and miter saw, the user can use either battery or AC power by connecting to the workbench power connector base 510. However, using AC power may require connecting after removing the battery. Therefore, the table saw and miter saw can only use one power source at a time. When attaching a battery 600, the positive terminal 601 of the battery is connected to the second live wire 502 of the power connector base 510, and the negative terminal 602 of the battery is connected to the neutral wire 503 of the power connector base 510.

[0034] When the AC power supply first connector 215 is used, the first live wire 201 is connected to the second live wire 502 of the power connector base 510, the neutral wire 203 is connected to the neutral wire 503 of the power connector base 510, and the ground wire 204 is connected to the ground wire 504 of the power connector base 510. When the table saw and miter saw are used, the second connector 500 is connected to the handheld circular saw. Thus, its second live wire 502 is connected to the first live wire 201, but its first live wire 501 is not connected to power. Figure 11 As shown, the neutral line 503 is connected to the neutral line 203 , the ground line 504 is connected to the ground line 204 , and the second live line 502 of the second connector 500 is connected to the second live line 202 on the connector base 216 .

[0035] The second live wire 502 is connected to the second live wire 202 and bypasses the handheld saw's switch. Therefore, the machine can only be turned on and off by the switch 138 on the workbench. The connector 215, 500 and the connector base 216, 510 are round on one side and square on the other side to prevent incorrect connection. The function of the switch on the workbench is as follows: Figure 13 The positive terminal 601 of the battery 600 or the first live wire 201 of the first connector 215 of the AC power source supplies power to the switch 138. When the switch is turned on, it transfers the power to the second live wire 502 on the second connector 500.
