By using 2-methylimidazole to regulate the ZIF precursor, NiNC catalysts were prepared, which solved the problems of poor CO2 affinity and active site performance of existing Ni-NC catalysts. This achieved efficient electrochemical CO2 reduction to CO, and is suitable for industrial-grade CO2 conversion.

Abstract
The invention discloses an imidazolyl ZIF-regulated CO2-philic NiNC nano-catalyst as well as a preparation method and application thereof, and belongs to the technical field of electrochemical CO2 reduction. The catalyst is prepared by taking a 2-methylimidazole nickel-based metal organic framework (Ni-2mIM ZIF) as a precursor through high-temperature pyrolysis, and is marked as a NiNC-2mIM catalyst. The content of pyridine nitrogen (pyridine-N) in the catalyst is high, a low-polarity pyridine nitrogen-nickel (pyridine-N-Ni) active site is formed, and the catalyst has excellent CO2 affinity performance; in an electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction, the Faraday efficiency on CO products is as high as 98%, the current density can reach 55 mA. Cm <-2 >, and good catalytic stability is achieved. Accurate regulation and control of active sites and surface COphilicity of the catalyst are achieved by regulating and controlling substituent groups of the imidazole ligand, the preparation method is simple and controllable, the cost is low, and the prepared catalyst has wide application prospects in the field of efficient conversion of CO2 into carbon-based chemicals.
