By using industrial bulk solid waste as raw material, SiO2-Al2O3-Fe2O3 aerogel was prepared by sol-gel method and steam displacement method, which solved the problem of high cost of SiO2 aerogel and realized low-cost and high-efficiency aerogel preparation and high-value utilization of bulk solid waste.

Abstract
This invention relates to a low-cost method for preparing SiO2-Al2O3-Fe2O3 aerogel. Using low-cost industrial bulk solid waste as raw material, and with the support of an activator and temperature, a hydrophobic SiO2-Al2O3-Fe2O3 aerogel is obtained through a sol-gel method, a steam displacement method, and supercritical drying, achieving rapid preparation of high-temperature resistant solid waste-based aerogels. This material possesses a three-dimensional nanoporous network structure. Compared to high-temperature resistant SiO2-based aerogels prepared from organic raw materials, the preparation cycle is significantly shortened. This process is environmentally friendly, avoids the use of expensive organic raw materials, greatly reduces costs, and improves industrialization efficiency. The obtained SiO2-Al2O3-Fe2O3 aerogel material exhibits excellent thermal insulation and structural stability.
