Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] This invention relates to a packaging collection method utilizing blockchain technology. Background Technology
[0002] In many developing countries, there is a need to invest in recycling facilities. However, such investments are problematic because manufacturers cannot monitor their use. Collection systems exist, but these systems may not address the root causes of littering, which could be consumer behavior or the lack of collection containers, or both.
[0003] There are packaging incentive methods where consumers receive a reward immediately after depositing the package into a container. However, such systems are not immune to fraud, such as the possibility of retrieving the package from the container and scanning it again. Furthermore, there is a possibility that the contents of recyclable containers may not be delivered to a recycling facility but instead be illegally disposed of in the environment.
[0004] Existing packaging incentive methods fail to ascertain the actual value transferred directly from the manufacturer to the packaged object. In existing systems, token value is typically expected to be funded by consumers, sponsors, or the value of recycled materials. These systems are unsuitable for smaller, low-value packaged objects such as plastic wraps, pouches, plastic bags, cups, straws, straw wraps, and plastic trays.
[0005] It is necessary to ensure that packaging waste is properly disposed of, making it possible to achieve this by incentivizing each participant. In many cases today, countries may have recycling facilities; however, these facilities often do not operate at their full intended capacity because consumers are not incentivized to sort and collect packaging, and transport companies or collectors are not incentivized to deliver waste to recycling facilities.
[0006] Current legislation in many countries may deem the importation of packaging waste unacceptable because unsorted packaging waste could pose direct or indirect health risks to workers involved in the additional sorting process. However, countries with well-developed recycling infrastructure can accept sorted packaging waste for recycling without harming workers in recycling plants, receive associated cryptocurrency value, and be able to sell the recycled materials after recycling.
[0007] Therefore, there is a need for a packaging collection method that enables the possibility of blocking or allowing the international flow of packaging waste.
[0008] There is a need for a packaging collection method that enables a clear and transparent way to share the value embedded in packaging waste.
[0009] Purpose of the invention
[0010] The purpose of this invention is to improve upon existing technology, and in particular to provide a packaging collection method that will promote the collection and recycling of packaging.
[0011] More specifically, the object of the present invention is to provide a packaging collection method that provides a transparent way to share the value embedded in packaging waste. Summary of the Invention
[0012] Therefore, in one aspect, the present invention provides a packaging collection method comprising the step of providing the following:
[0013] - A package containing an embedded crypto token value, the package including a serialized code.
[0014] - One or more packaging scanning devices, said one or more packaging scanning devices being capable of scanning the serialization code, said packaging scanning devices being connected to a token transfer system for transferring tokens or a portion of tokens to one or more users of the packaging collection method, and
[0015] The token transfer system mentioned therein includes a blockchain smart contract with token locking functionality.
[0016] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the serialized code is printed on or embedded in the packaging.
[0017] This invention provides a method for allocating crypto token value. This crypto token value allocation transparently distributes reward amounts to each involved party at the end of the packaging lifecycle. The percentage of crypto token value allocated can also be varied depending on specific country circumstances. For example, countries where under-collection is a problem might distribute a higher percentage of tokens to consumers, collectors, and shipping companies, while providing a smaller amount to recycling companies.
[0018] The packaging collection method according to the invention only allows the splitting and authorization of crypto token value among users when the packaging is fully disposed of by a certified and audited recycling facility.
[0019] Current legislation in many countries may deem the importation of packaging waste unacceptable because unsorted packaging waste could pose direct or indirect health risks to workers involved in additional sorting processes. Countries with well-developed recycling infrastructure can accept sorted packaging waste for recycling without harming workers in recycling plants, receive cryptocurrency value, and be able to sell the recycled materials after recycling.
[0020] Furthermore, the packaging collection method according to the invention provides the possibility of blocking or allowing the international flow of packaging waste through the use of blockchain smart contract functionality. It offers financial incentives to receiving countries for high-quality, sorted packaging waste that requires no further manual handling or human-machine interaction.
[0021] The packaging collection method of the present invention allows for clear and transparent token value allocation, while distributing a portion of the token value to users of recycling or collection infrastructure. The method according to the invention provides the possibility for consumers to purchase token value along with the packaging, which can then be recovered by storing the packaging. A portion of the token value can be distributed to the packaging collector when the collected packaging is submitted to a recycling facility. Attached Figure Description
[0022] Figure 1 A schematic diagram of the packaging collection method according to the present invention is shown.
[0023] Figure 2 An alternative embodiment of the packaging collection system according to the invention is shown, wherein the collection bag is used to collect packaging materials without serialization codes.
[0024] Figure 3 This demonstrates the manufacturer's ability to assign the value of crypto tokens to the packaging.
[0025] Figure 4 It demonstrates the ability for consumers to transfer a portion of their crypto tokens to their crypto wallets with the help of the app. Figure 4 The value of the crypto tokens is shown, partially blocked by the blocking feature.
[0026] Figure 5 This demonstrates the ability of consumers to physically transfer packaging to collectors. Collectors can obtain serialized code information from an application or directly from the blockchain using a scanner.
[0027] Figure 6 The diagram illustrates a transport unit that collects packages from a collector or recycling container. Serialized code information from the collector is automatically transferred using indexing in a blockchain or by matching the geolocation of two users. This is illustrated, for example, in the case of waste trucks collecting waste from dedicated recycling containers.
[0028] Figure 7 This illustrates the end of the packaging lifecycle. The packaging is at the recycling center, and the serialization code information about the delivered package is automatically transferred from the blockchain. The transport unit associated with the delivery (including geolocation sensor data) is also recorded on the blockchain.
[0029] Figure 8This demonstrates a method for generating serialized codes, associating them with the value of crypto tokens using blockchain smart contract functionality, and printing QR codes on packaging.
[0030] Figure 9 The method demonstrates a process where a packaging supplier generates a serialized code, the manufacturer checks the serialized code, authorizes printing, delivers it to the manufacturer, and associates the serialized code with the value of a crypto token on a blockchain smart contract.
[0031] Figure 10 This demonstrates a method for scanning serialized code using an application's scanning device. The software application stores the code in local storage and transfers the serialized code to a blockchain once connected to the internet.
[0032] Figure 11 This demonstrates a method for transferring a list of serialized codes from one user to another using associated code on a blockchain smart contract. The blockchain smart contract conditions authorize the release of cryptocurrency value using an unlocking function. Detailed Implementation
[0033] In addition to the aforementioned beneficial effects of the present invention, the cost of application is also important. Previously known systems for embedding information into packaging can be costly and inconvenient to use. The packaging collection method according to the present invention utilizes relatively low-cost technologies, such as serialized codes. Multiple codes can be aggregated and compressed, while packaging can be stored in existing containers to achieve packaging collection and association with the user.
[0034] In this context, a blockchain is a network of geographically distributed computer nodes. Individual computers are owned by separate individuals or organizations and may require authorization to join the network.
[0035] In this context, a smart contract is a computer program that executes on a blockchain node. It typically receives input conditions and process data based on business logic functions. Once one or more conditions are met, the smart contract program executes. The program's output functions may involve verifying account transfers and have the ability to record the results on the blockchain ledger.
[0036] Furthermore, in this context, a crypto token is a virtual currency token or a denomination of cryptocurrency. It represents a tradable asset or utility right residing on its own blockchain and allowing the holder to use it for investment or economic purposes. The definition of tokens on a blockchain can be implemented through dedicated smart contracts.
[0037] In this context, investors or users are private individuals or representatives of companies who intend to allocate funds to tradable assets for a sustained or unsustainable period of time.
[0038] In this context, a manufacturing execution system is a combination of hardware and software used to control the manufacturing process and manage the corresponding data records.
[0039] In this context, a cryptocurrency wallet is a computer program that includes the following functions: storing information about the value of cryptocurrency assets, receiving or transferring one or more cryptocurrency assets from other cryptocurrency wallets or to other cryptocurrency wallets, and protecting against unauthorized use.
[0040] Schemes of the present invention will now be described by way of example only.
[0041] Specific examples will now be described to further illustrate the invention.
[0042] In this context, the value of a crypto token is a digital asset on a blockchain system that can be exchanged for currency.
[0043] Furthermore, in this context, serialized code is a unique and identifiable code that can be identified in a blockchain system with smart contracts.
[0044] Preferably, the serialization code is printed on or embedded in the packaging. This allows the code to follow the packaging and prevents it from detaching.
[0045] Advantageously, in the packaging collection method according to the invention, the blockchain smart contract in the token transfer system includes a recording function for recording the association between serialized code and cryptographic token value on the blockchain. This allows manufacturers to embed cryptographic token value into the packaging itself to incentivize consumers to collect used packaging.
[0046] Preferably, the packaging collection method includes the following steps when scanning packaging in one or more packaging scanning devices: transferring the value of crypto tokens to a user account, the user account being connected to a blockchain smart contract that includes token locking functionality.
[0047] Furthermore, the method according to the invention can have a token lockout feature, which includes a verification function that unlocks the reserved amount of crypto token value to the user of the packaging collection method. This has the advantage of ensuring that rewards or payments are only made after the collected packaging arrives at the recycling facility.
[0048] Advantageously, in the method according to the invention, the data transfer to the blockchain using a blockchain smart contract includes a mechanism for information compression via a hash function. This has the advantage that the information is compressed, thereby saving storage space on the blockchain.
[0049] In the package collection method, scanning of packages with serialized codes is preferably performed by a package scanning device using a token transfer system, resulting in the association of cryptographic token value with a user account and the recording of this association on a blockchain. This allows for payments to users of the package collection method.
[0050] Users of the packaging collection method according to the present invention may freely choose from the group consisting of: consumers, collectors, transport units, and recycling organizations or combinations thereof.
[0051] Packaging collection methods may include objects from a group consisting of: collection bags, recycling containers, transport units, recycling organizations, or combinations thereof, which are associated with a blockchain via a separate serialization code.
[0052] In a preferred embodiment of the method according to the invention, the unlocking function releases a quantity of token value upon receiving information about the collection of packages in a recycling organization. This allows control over the distribution of value associated with the collection and avoids payments being made if the recycling organization has not received the packages.
[0053] Preferably, the packaging collection method according to the invention includes a token transfer system that incorporates an automatic fraud assessment system. Advantageously, the automatic fraud assessment system includes a function whereby the input is selected from a group of: the user's geographic location, the geographic location of the collection point, the geographic location of the transport unit, the geographic location of the recycling organization, the time since the last information was transferred to the blockchain, the packaging volume in the transport unit, or a combination thereof. The advantage is that this method does not allow for multiple rescans of the same packaging.
[0054] Preferably, in the packaging collection method according to the invention, the mobile application includes: a function for collecting and transferring information selected from a group consisting of a user's geolocation location, the geolocation location of the recycling container, and the output of a scanning device (including serialization codes of collected and scanned items (such as the located single package or aggregated packages) in the recycling bag or recycling container), reading such information and writing it to a blockchain once the application is connected to the Internet; and a crypto token wallet with the function of transferring token amounts to other users' crypto token wallets, including access to electronic banking, SMS-Money, or other applications combining thereof.
[0055] The aforementioned fraud assessment system may include a blockchain-based inspection record function, providing information about the user associated with the packaging, highlighting the last geolocation of the user record on the blockchain, having the ability to highlight the cause of packaging leakage into the environment, or a combination thereof. This allows the method according to the invention to detect whether a truck has dropped packaging, and whether the packaging has not reached its final destination for recycling.
[0056] Furthermore, the method according to the invention can advantageously have an inspection recording function that evaluates information obtained using a packaging scanning device.
[0057] Furthermore, the method according to the invention includes steps of scanning the packaging, examining existing records associated with it on a blockchain, or a combination thereof, to determine the last registered location of the packaging in the packaging collection method, providing the packaging disposal date, collection point, truck, etc.
[0058] The packaging collection method according to the present invention will now be further described with reference to the accompanying drawings. This method allocates cryptocurrency value to the packaging and incentivizes users to complete packaging recycling. Simultaneously, the packaging collection method provides transparency regarding the flow of packaging waste. Figure 1 In this method, the packaging collection begins with the release of tokens on the blockchain (1). Users purchase a larger portion of the tokens (2a), while leaving another portion (2b) for trading. Manufacturers (4) purchase tokens on a decentralized exchange (4a) and link the crypto token value to the packaging (4b) by associating the serial number on the packaging with the serial number and registering the association using a smart contract on the blockchain. Consumers (5) purchase the packaged product (5a) from a retailer or store and are able to use a scanning device to extract the serial number on the packaging to extract the token value allocated to them. The collected and sorted packaging waste is returned to the recycling stream using a retailer collection point or dedicated container (6). A transportation company (7) transports the collected packaging to a recycling station (8). All serial numbers with their association with the user are recorded on the blockchain. All users are fully authorized to use the initially embedded crypto token value only after it has been physically confirmed that the packaging object has been recycled or is ready for reuse. The packaging collection method according to the invention may be adopted at the request of a regulatory agency (3) or by any interested company that produces packaging.
[0059] The packaging collection method according to the present invention can be global, decentralized, and based on a public blockchain, a private blockchain, or a combination thereof.
[0060] The use of blockchain typically involves paying a small fee when information is written to the blockchain. Therefore, each party can pay its own fee during a transaction on the blockchain. The fee can be deducted from the token itself or from the user's app (1b).
[0061] The packaging and collection method according to the invention can be implemented and maintained by one or more implementing organizations. The initial token release can be completed by the core team. Token release can be carried out in accordance with applicable regulations or international standards. For example, it can be distributed as follows: 20% - among core team members (2a), 30% - sold to investors or used (2a), and 50% - available for trading (2b). Alternatively, existing crypto tokens can be used.
[0062] The implementing organization can be funded by receiving a percentage fee for each transaction completed using the proposed packaging collection method from the blockchain.
[0063] In this context, investors are typically company representatives or private individuals. Figure 2 Investors (2) may need to participate in the initial cryptocurrency token distribution. Investors can receive token value according to their investment ratio. They can ensure sufficient financial backing and stability of the tokens offered.
[0064] Consult the relevant regulatory authorities (see [link]). Figure 1 (3) Apply relevant regulations to packaging collection methods.
[0065] The regulatory body (3) should be able to define and apply appropriate rules. Such rules can be implemented by the implementing organization using smart contract functionality on the blockchain. Rules may, for example, define a minimum equivalent value of crypto tokens for a single packaging unit in local currency (4a) (minimum sufficient incentive for collecting and processing waste), define a percentage of crypto token value split among users of the packaging collection method (consumers, collectors, retailers, transport companies, recycling facilities), define geographical restrictions on the import / export of collected and sorted packaging waste, define other rules such as developing collection and recycling infrastructure, approving the use of crypto token value as an alternative to taxation, approving the use of sorted packaging waste for energy recovery, etc.
[0066] The packaging collection method utilizes a smart contract function that allows the release of crypto token value only upon delivery of the packaging to a certified and audited recycling organization. If the packaging waste is transported to a landfill or incinerated in an uncertified recycling organization, the crypto token value may not be released. The smart contract function directs investment to recycling technology, as the crypto token value may otherwise not be recoverable. Audits of recycling facilities can be performed by regulators (3), investors or users (1), manufacturers (4), and consumer representatives (4).
[0067] Manufacturers (4) can purchase the required amount of crypto tokens (4a) on decentralized exchanges, see [link to relevant documentation]. Figure 3 .
[0068] The packaging collection method provides the possibility of associating serialized code information on the packaging (4b) with a quantity of cryptographic tokens. This association is achieved using QR codes or similar technologies, or in the future using XRF technology; see EP3523359 on XRF technology for traceability and recycling of plastics. Packaging manufacturers can integrate this association process into a dedicated module of their manufacturing execution system. See also Figure 8 The dedicated computer program logic within the smart contract receives information about the product batch, packaging quantity, a list of serialization codes on the packaging, and other required information or parameters. It calculates the minimum crypto token value required for a single package. The total required crypto token value can be sent to a program module responsible for purchasing crypto tokens on an exchange. The smart contract may include additional restrictions and specific business rules: geolocation restrictions, expiration dates, and the minimum amount and proportion of tokens reserved for users of the packaging collection method. This dedicated logic registers the smart contract on the blockchain. Once the dedicated smart contract is registered on the blockchain, the required indexing for that contract can be transferred to an industrial printing press. The smart printing press is capable of translating unique serialization codes into QR codes and printing them on the packaging. Alternatively, whenever a unique serialization code has been printed on the packaging, this QR code indexing can be registered directly on the blockchain within the smart contract created for the production batch; see [link to relevant documentation]. Figure 9 .
[0069] A minimum monetary value equivalent, expressed in the form of cryptocurrency value, can be assigned to the package. Such assignment rules may be defined by a regulatory body (3) or based on commercial conditions, see [reference needed]. Figure 1 Because the equivalent value of crypto tokens in local currency can fluctuate over time, manufacturers can change the amount of crypto token value allocated to the package. See [link / reference]. Figure 3 and Figure 8 The value of the crypto tokens associated with a single package can be much smaller than the smallest unit of currency in the local coin. For example, the assigned token value could be as low as $0.005 or as low as $0.0001 per package.
[0070] Because all blockchain transactions can be publicly recorded, they can be used for analysis and public scrutiny. This transaction data can be used for, for example: studying packaging waste flow, defining packaging design and required shelf life, using anonymized consumer purchasing behavior data to target promotional campaigns, identifying potential fraud, improving recycling organizations, and further incentivizing users to collect packaging again.
[0071] Consumers can be the primary users of packaging collection methods.
[0072] Figure 1The blockchain technology shown (1) can provide personal crypto token wallets. Each consumer will be able to open an anonymous account associated with the crypto token wallet, which can be used to store the value of crypto tokens received from relevant transactions during the use of the packaging collection method. A consumer-facing App feature (1b) will allow the creation of crypto token wallets. Each crypto token wallet has a private key and a public key. The public key is also the name of the wallet, which allows identification of the user account on the blockchain.
[0073] The final packaging consumer (5) uses the scanning device of a smartphone (1b) to extract the serialized code embedded in the packaging (5a), see [link to product page]. Figure 1 and Figure 4 . Figure 10 The computer program logic used to utilize the scanning device is explained. The scanning action will allow offline accumulation of the scanned serialized code, verification of the associated smart contract, and transfer of the value of the crypto token amount to the user's wallet. A dedicated blocking function of the smart contract can declare the transaction pending. Application (1b) allows visualization of the collected and authorized crypto token amount; see [link to application]. Figure 1 .
[0074] The packaging collection method requires consumers to bring sorted and prepared packaging to the collection point in accordance with local requirements as defined by the regulatory body (3) or the collector (6). Figure 1 At collection points (6). Dedicated features of the consumer application allow the scanned package to be associated with other objects, such as collection bags, recycling containers, transport units, or recycling organizations. This association can be recorded on the blockchain and, according to… Figure 11 The mechanism shown is triggered by a user request. To compress information about the scanned objects, the smart contract uses a hash function. The output of the hash function (hash) is used to reduce the amount of information recorded on the blockchain. The hash and the associated user are recorded separately on the blockchain. Application functions use the hash to extract associations and track the movement of packaging waste through processes such as... Figure 1 The packaging collection method shown efficiently distributes the packaging waste stream during material flow.
[0075] Users of the package collection method may need to pay a small fee to have their transactions written to the blockchain.
[0076] According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the value of the crypto tokens is allocated to consumers but is locked until the packaging and collection method is completed at a recycling facility. The recycling facility serves to allow the application of an unlocking function to release the reserved amount of crypto token value to consumers; see [link to relevant documentation]. Figure 11 .
[0077] Packaging interfaces such as QR codes can be used by scanning devices and dedicated apps (1b) to read the information encoded in the QR codes, see [link to relevant documentation]. Figure 1 This scanning can be used to trigger smart contract functions and transfer a portion or all of the associated cryptocurrency value to the consumer's account. The program can prevent the same user from scanning the package a second time. Scanning the serialized code by another consumer will be allowed. However, in this case, the automated functions of the fraud assessment system can trigger an alert and suggest the user enter a comment or trigger an investigation. In any case, the associated amount will be split equally between the two users. For example, if the package was found in nature, or if another consumer illegally scanned such an item at the point of sale but did not store it, the last user to file a complaint can submit an investigation request to the implementing organization. The implementing organization can use the available metadata and information on the blockchain to extract the associated cryptocurrency amount from the affected user, or use this method to issue an alert to the corresponding user.
[0078] The packaging collection method according to the present invention requires consumers to bring sorted and prepared packaging to the collection point (see...). Figure 1 (6)
[0079] Dedicated facilities, including reverse vending machines and / or auxiliary entry points, can be integrated into the packaging collection method according to the invention. Collection points of different natures can be set up in apartment buildings, private homes, retail outlets, or public areas. Collection points are registered on a blockchain and identified using QR codes. Customers use a dedicated application (1b) and transfer a list containing all information about the scanned items to the blockchain. The functions of the dedicated computer program are as follows: Figure 11 There is an explanation in the text.
[0080] The packaging collection method according to the present invention allows consumers to place the collected packages into a container and scan a QR code to confirm this action. A hash function can be used to compress the associated list of serialized codes. The output of the hash function, the user identifier, the geolocation of the container, and their associated records are recorded on a blockchain. Figure 1 The dedicated application (1b) shown has the function of automatically suggesting such transactions when the user is near such a container. The function of the dedicated computer program is... Figure 11 There is an explanation in the text.
[0081] In an alternative embodiment, the packaging collection method according to the invention may use dedicated collection bags. Collection bags are used whenever the value of the packaged items is low and using either a QR code or an information tag is impractical. A specific computer program associates the quantity of packages stored in the bag with a user, and this association can be verified by the collector. The association is then recorded on a blockchain. The function of this specific computer program is... Figure 11 There is an explanation in the text.
[0082] The embedded functionality of application (1b) will trigger random checks on the provided materials and items. Collectors or members of the implementing organization can perform random assignment verification on the stored packages. Specific computer program functions will automatically scan the blockchain to identify discrepancies using an automated fraud assessment system. This functionality can be achieved by monitoring account activity on the blockchain based on time periodicity, volume, geolocation, pauses between scans, and time between package storage. For example, registering an unusually large number of packages in a container or attempting to scan containers in an unusual geographic area can be highlighted for review.
[0083] The packaging collection method according to the invention requires the collector to maintain the reverse vending machine infrastructure (if available), collection points, and containers. In return, the collector is automatically awarded a prize consisting of a certain percentage of all available and processed crypto tokens associated with the collected packaged items. The amount of crypto token value will be allocated based on the lockout usage function. A dedicated unlocking function is triggered once the associated packaged items are transported and delivered to the appropriate recycling organization. The collector will have to pay a fee when recording information to the blockchain. The collector also organizes the reverse logistics when sending the collected packaged items to the recycling point. In the case of this being managed by an independent organization, this is done, for example, by contacting a transportation company.
[0084] Depend on Figure 1 China and Figure 6 The packages prepared by the collector (6) are transported by the registered transport company (7). The transport company receives the packages from the collection point (6), existing containers, and reverse vending machines. Information about the stored items is extracted from the blockchain and associated with the transport unit. The information is compressed using a hash function, aggregated with information about the transport unit, and then... Figure 1 The dedicated application (1b) is registered on the blockchain again. Scanning each item is unnecessary; only individual items can be verified. The value of crypto tokens is allocated to the shipping unit based on the lockout usage function. A dedicated unlocking function is triggered once the associated packaged object is transported to the recycling organization. The shipping company is responsible for paying fees when information is recorded on the blockchain.
[0085] The transport unit may optionally include a dedicated computer program installed on a mobile IoT (Internet of Things) device operating within the transport unit. This computer program module is capable of using geolocation sensors to read the transport unit's location. The program obtains information on the waste container's location, the transport unit's speed, and position to trigger a blockchain information retrieval mechanism. The computer program uses smart contract indexing at the collection point to retrieve data from the blockchain. An amount of cryptographic token value reserved for the transport unit is automatically extracted, associated with the transport unit, and recorded on the blockchain. The blockchain data can be used to optimize collection schedules in packaging waste collection methods.
[0086] Information about the packaging and shipping units (including geolocation) is recorded on a blockchain (1), see [link to blockchain]. Figure 1 The dedicated App (1b) automatically records the truck geolocation from the collection point to the recycling facility. An automated fraud assessment system detects deviations from normal patterns, including data using: the geographic location of the recycling organization, the speed of the transport unit, the time since the last information was transferred to the blockchain, or a combination thereof. Furthermore, the package collection method according to the invention allows for tracing each individual package found in nature, thereby triggering an investigation by the implementing organization. This minimizes any fraudulent activity. In this example, the package collection method uses an unlocking function to release the cryptocurrency value only when the package is physically delivered to the recycling organization.
[0087] The international transport of packaging waste may be permitted by the regulatory body (3) whenever a country has not developed any local infrastructure or doing so is not economically feasible. Figure 1 The blocking mechanism can remain in place, thus limiting anticipated fraud in illicit waste disposal while incentivizing packaging collection for recycling. Therefore, international packaging waste transportation could be commercially viable due to the crypto-token value rewards for recycling facilities. Nevertheless, such transportation could be avoided later once new recycling facilities have been built locally (8), see [link to relevant documentation]. Figure 1 .
[0088] Only registered and certified recycling organizations (8) can join. Figure 1 The packaging collection method according to the present invention is shown. The recycling organization receives and recycles packaging for producing new raw materials (8a), prepares packaging articles for reuse, or recovers energy whenever no other option exists. Packaging is provided by a collector (6), a transportation company (7), or directly by a consumer (5). The recycling organization does not need to scan all packaging. The required information is extracted from the blockchain using association information from the transportation unit, which is directly from... Figure 1Provided by App (1a). The recycling organization confirms that packaged items are properly recycled or ready for reuse. The unlocking function can be triggered using a dedicated computer program; see [link to relevant documentation]. Figure 11 .
[0089] The recycling organization can be audited periodically by a committee composed of... Figure 1 The regulator (3), manufacturer (4), investor (2), implementing organization, and randomly selected consumer (5) are represented. The packaging collection method according to the invention can use an automated fraud assessment system to highlight desired gaps and direct the audit committee to automatically identified gaps. These gaps are identified using publicly available data from the blockchain. For example, unusually rapid material flow can be detected, as it may simply mean that only data is being passed to the system without the material being physically delivered to its destination.
[0090] Figure 1 The recycling organization (8) shown sells the recovered materials (8a) or energy back to the respective manufacturers (4) and energy providers.
[0091] The current part of the packaging collection method can describe the existing principles and blockchain standards.
[0092] Generally speaking, anyone can buy or sell crypto tokens offered through a package collection method, if this is... Figure 1 If permitted by the regulatory body (3), consumers (5) may use crypto exchanges to convert all or part of their crypto tokens into local currency via: e-banking, payments to credit / debit cards, payments to systems such as “SMS Money”, and cash withdrawals.
[0093] Crypto token owners can create transactions to exchange their tokens for new products or transfer them to any other wallet (as a gift to a friend or family member, or as a donation). Ideally, once the crypto tokens are exchanged for local or another cryptocurrency, they return to circulation. A new cycle will then begin, as described by the manufacturer.
[0094] In the method according to the invention, the total amount of crypto tokens released is fixed. Natural loss of crypto tokens is expected during circulation. For example, in Figure 1 In this process, not all the assigned crypto token value associated with the packaging can be "collected" (5a). Consumers (5) may forget to scan the packaging or may accidentally litter. Some consumers may lose their smartphones or access their crypto token wallet passwords. The packaging collection method, from manufacturing to consumption and packaging recycling, can cycle for several weeks or even months. This will keep the tokens circulating, and valuable liquidity will be preserved in the ecosystem and reduce crypto token price volatility.
[0095] Smart contracts are computer programs deployed on a blockchain. Specific input parameters and business rules are embedded into such programs to achieve the desired functionality.
[0096] Smart contracts can support the initial definition of crypto tokens, record information on the blockchain, embed business logic, exchange crypto tokens between accounts, associate the value of crypto tokens with serialized codes on the packaging, lock and unlock usage functions.
[0097] The definition of a crypto token is executed within a smart contract. The information required to define the token is standardized: name and symbol, total supply, number of decimal places, and the account to which this token should be transferred. After the definition, a commission is paid and the information is recorded on the blockchain.
[0098] A dedicated mechanism ensures that each package will physically receive a QR code and its associated unique serialization code, such as... Figure 8 and Figure 9 As shown. In Figure 1 The manufacturer (4) shown automatically assigns codes to crypto token values at its production line. Authorization for mass production can be done as follows: Figure 8 and Figure 9 The explanation is as follows.
[0099] Advantageously, the packaging collection method according to the invention enables the collection of existing packaging waste. To enable mechanisms for environmental restoration or cleanup, smart contracts are created. For example, smart contracts can enforce specific rules, such as the geographical boundaries of the collection, the duration, the types of packaging waste to be accepted, the cryptocurrency reward per kg of waste for each type, and the serial number indexing of the collection bags.
[0100] Figure 1 The specialized application (1a) shown will perform a check-log function, which includes checking the presence of the scanned serialized code on the blockchain. This check-log function will enable the transfer of crypto token value from the packaging to the user's crypto wallet, see [link to documentation]. Figure 10 .whenever Figure 1When a consumer (5) moves the packaging further through a collection (6), transport unit (7), or recycling organization (8), this triggers an automatic percentage distribution of crypto token value among participating users. The distribution percentage can be set in a smart contract by the regulator (3) or the implementing organization. Whenever a user does not participate in the packaging collection method, the remaining participating users will receive a higher crypto token reward. For example, if a consumer (5) takes the packaging directly to the recycling organization, only the consumer (5), the recycling organization (7), and the implementing organization will be rewarded. On the other hand, if there are more temporary steps (e.g., due to international waste transfers), each participating user will receive a lower crypto token reward.
[0101] Blockchain technology allows the transfer of crypto tokens between supported crypto wallets. This is controlled using embedded functionality within the application; see [link to relevant documentation]. Figure 1 (1a) in the middle.
[0102] Advantageously, the packaging collection method according to the invention can be used to enable public participation in cleaning activities.
[0103] Allows anyone to use Figure 2 The application features (1a) can be used to set up promotional campaigns. For example, a new smart contract can be defined. A dedicated wallet type will be created to accept tokens for donation. This wallet will only receive donated crypto tokens and will be used to associate the value of the collected crypto tokens with a serialized code associated with a QR code printed on the collection bag.
[0104] Figure 2 All relevant packaging waste shown (9a) can be collected in a dedicated collection bag with a QR code. Figure 2 The volunteers (10) shown used the application (1b) to assign their user identities to the collection bags. The remaining packaging collection methods are as follows: Figure 2 As shown, and including all elements of the present invention, including the crypto token blocking usage function, the unlocking function, and the recording to the blockchain function, as described above.
[0105] The packaging collection method according to the present invention may involve the following steps: the manufacturer (4) purchases crypto tokens on a decentralized exchange, see Figure 3 The software application calculates the required number of tokens for each packaged object in a production batch; see [link to relevant documentation]. Figure 8 The software application generates a unique serialization code and associates the QR code with the value of the encrypted token. The smart contract application writes a list of unique serialization codes and their associated token values onto the blockchain, such as... Figure 8 and Figure 9 As shown. The manufacturer prints a QR code associated with a unique serialization code on the packaging object, see [link to documentation]. Figure 8Or the manufacturer to Figure 9 The packaging manufacturer is authorized to print the QR code. The confirmation of the cryptocurrency's value and the allocation of the serialization code for the packaged object are registered on the blockchain.
[0106] The packaging collection method involves the following steps. A dedicated software application is used to collect the packaging. Figure 1 The Internet communication protocol (1) in the blockchain works on mobile devices connected to the blockchain. Consumers or collectors perform package scanning to extract serialized codes from the package objects, see [link to relevant documentation]. Figure 10 The software application records a list of serialized codes to a database on the mobile device. The application examines the serialized codes in the database, their registration on the blockchain, and the associated cryptocurrency value. The application associates all users involved in the packaging collection method with their associated cryptocurrency value. The application uses a lock-on usage function to assign cryptocurrency values. The application transfers multiple serialized codes, uses a hash function to compress the information, associates the corresponding users with the compressed information on the blockchain, associates physical objects (collection bags, recycling containers, transport units, recycling organizations) with the packaging, and associates the cryptocurrency value with all users involved in the method.
[0107] The packaging and collection method according to the present invention involves the following steps. A smart contract function can unlock a certain amount of cryptocurrency value under specific conditions to reward associated users; see [link to relevant documentation]. Figure 11 Only when the packaging is physically transferred to a user account designated as a "recycler" are the amounts of crypto tokens associated with the corresponding user (e.g., "consumer," "collector," "transport unit," or "volunteer") unlocked for use. A dedicated audit process is in place to check packaging recycling, energy recovery, and readiness for reuse.
[0108] The packaging collection method according to the invention preferably involves the following steps: a software application capable of independently scanning blockchain records for potential fraud. Fraud is identified by examining the following items: the time of packaging delivery, the geographic location of the transport unit, the estimated and actual time of packaging transfer between different geographic locations, the number of scans, the geographic location of packaging found in nature, and the association between the last user and the packaging found in nature.
