[0021] Embodiments of the present application include systems and methods that can provide an end user with an olfactory blanket for use in daily life or in therapeutic, medical, wellness, or other health-focused processes.
[0022] Flavors can engage the brain in ways that affect mood, memory, and overall health, and thus can play a powerful role in therapy and wellness. Blankets, and especially soft blankets, can also provide a tactile experience that can be soothing for people experiencing stress, trauma, or sensory processing disorders. Blankets can provide a sense of containment, warmth, and protection that can make people feel more grounded and secure. Embodiments of the present application disclose, at least in one aspect, a blanket system that can be customized by an end user for a particular scent or olfactory experience, such as by using replaceable scent items. As further disclosed herein, such scent items or scent providers can provide an end user with a highly customizable olfactory and tactile therapeutic experience.
