Abstract
Battery system (1) comprising at least one battery cell (BZ1-BZn) and at least one cooling channel (3) with a fluid (4) flowing through the cooling channel (3), wherein the fluid (4) is set in motion by at least one pump (2), wherein the battery system (1) comprises at least one means for reversing the flow direction in the cooling channel (3), wherein a control unit (6) is assigned to the means which switches the flow direction depending on at least one parameter, characterized by the fact that the parameter is an expected temperature increase of the battery cells (BZ1-BZn) due to an expected charging or discharging current.
