Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present invention relates to a cover fabric fastening clamp used for fastening a cover fabric covering a surface of a chair, a seat or the like. BACKGROUND

[0002] Conventionally, in a typical chair used in a room or in a typical vehicle seat, a cushion material or a soft pad is arranged in an area contacted by a human body, such as a seat surface and a backrest, and a surface of the cushion material or the soft pad is covered with a covering fabric. Various structures are used to fix the covering fabric. For example, a structure for fixing the covering fabric, which is not visible from the outside, is known in which a wire is arranged in a groove of a cushion material, clamps are arranged on a back surface of the covering fabric, and the clamps are coupled to the wire to fix the covering fabric.

[0003] For example, a fastening clamp disclosed in Patent Documents 1 and 2 includes a jig portion for coupling with a locking end portion connected to a cushion material, and a hook portion for coupling with a wire disposed in a groove of the cushion material. The hook portion includes a guide lever and a hook that oppose each other transversely, and the wire is inserted between the guide lever and the hook, causing the guide lever to bend outward to widen a gap between the guide lever and the hook. As the wire is further inserted, the hook is locked with the wire inserted into the opening.

[0004] According to the fastening clamp disclosed in Patent Document 1, a separator hanging portion is formed at a lower end portion of the hook portion, which is bent in a direction opposite to the wire-coupling portion. The separator hanging portion is used to detach the fastening clamp from the wire once it has been attached to the wire. To detach the wire, a separator, such as a screwdriver, is inserted into a groove shape of the curved separator hanging portion, and a hook material is elastically deformed outward by applying force, thereby widening the gap having a guide portion.

[0005] The upholstery fastener disclosed in Patent Document 2 also has a separator receiving portion located in the center of the hook portion in a longitudinal direction. To separate the fastener from the wire, a separator is inserted into the separator receiving portion to perform the operation, and the hook is moved transversely away from the wire or tilted relative to it, thereby releasing the coupling between the hook and the wire. Patent Document 1: Japanese Patent Application Publication No. 2012-235911 A Patent Document 2: International Patent Application, Publication No. WO / 2012 / 017986

[0006] According to the generic prior art described above, to disconnect the fastening clamp, the operating device is inserted into the disconnector hanging area, displaced transversely parallel to the wire, or tilted relative to it, so that the coupling of the hook to the wire is released. However, it is difficult to know how to apply the force to the disconnector to release the coupling. Furthermore, it is necessary to apply the force to the operating device in the correct direction, so considerable skill is required to release the coupling. This is laborious. Since the operating device is easily released from the disconnector hanging area, especially when pulled upwards, it is necessary to also apply the force to the disconnector in the horizontal direction, while ensuring that the disconnector is not released from the disconnector hanging area.As a result, its functionality is poor. Furthermore, when moving the separator horizontally or tilting the separator, the cushion material surrounding the separator becomes an obstacle, so moving the separator requires pressure on the cushion material and deformation. This also requires considerable force, takes time to complete, and increases operator fatigue. SUMMARY

[0007] It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a cover material fastening clamp which can be detached from a wire mounted in a cushion material by a simple operation using a separating device (tool), and thereby improve the efficiency of the operation.

[0008] According to the invention, the stated object is achieved with a cover material fastening clamp according to claim 1.

[0009] In other words, a cover fabric fastening clamp for connecting a cover fabric and a cushion material is provided, the cover fabric fastening clamp comprising: a locking portion configured to engage with a locking end portion arranged at an edge of the cover fabric; and a hook configured to engage with a wire arranged in a groove of the cushion material, the hook being arranged below the locking portion and configured with: a laterally projecting claw-shaped portion configured to engage with the wire;and a separator receiving portion arranged on the opposite side of the claw-shaped portion for engaging with a separator provided for separating the hook from the wire, wherein a locking position of the separator receiving portion and the separator is arranged relative to a locking position of the hook and the wire on the opposite side of the locking portion and to the side of the hook, and, when the separator receiving portion and the separator are pulled upward in a locked state of the hook and the wire, the cover fabric fastening clamp is rotated about an axis of the wire and the wire is separated from the claw-shaped portion of the hook, so that the connection between the cover fabric and the cushion fabric is released.

[0010] The engagement portion, the hook, and the separator receiving portion may be integrally molded from a synthetic resin.

[0011] The hook may have a projection extending downward from the engaging portion, and the separator receiving portion may extend parallel to the projection, a tip end of the separator receiving portion may be disposed above a locking claw base portion of the engaging portion, and an insertion opening into which the separator is inserted may be formed between the tip end of the separator receiving portion and the engaging portion.

[0012] The hook may include: a projection extending downward from the engaging portion; the claw-shaped portion bent transversely from a tip end of the projection and inclined toward the engaging portion; and a flange portion extending from the projection in the opposite direction to an extending direction of the claw-shaped portion, wherein a tip end of the flange portion is inclined away from the engaging portion and has a separator receiving portion.

[0013] A locking convex portion may be formed on an inner surface of the separator receiving portion opposite the extension or on an inner surface of the extension opposite the separator receiving portion.

[0014] The upholstery fabric fastening clamp may further comprise a guide lever extending integrally from the engaging portion and facing the tip end of the claw-shaped portion of the hook, and the guide lever may be configured to extend downward beyond the tip end of the claw-shaped portion of the hook.

[0015] A lower portion of a U-shaped groove between the separator receiving portion and the extension may have a separator holding portion for engaging with the separator, an inner side surface of the separator receiving portion opposite the extension or an inner side surface of the extension opposite the separator receiving portion may be formed with an engaging convex portion, a distance between the engaging convex portion and the extension or the separator receiving portion may be formed smaller than an outer diameter of an engaging portion of the separator, and when the engaging portion of the separator is inserted between the extension and the separator receiving portion, the engaging portion may abut against the engaging convex portion and the separator receiving portion may be elastically deformed, thereby increasing the distance, and when the locking portion passes over the locking convex portion, the locking portion can lock with the locking convex portion.

[0016] With the upholstery fixing clamp according to the embodiments of the present invention, it is possible to detach the upholstery fixing clamp from the wire with a simple operation, so that the operation is efficient. In particular, since the separator is locked to the separator receiving portion by means of the locking projection simply by inserting the separator from above, the separator can be easily inserted, is not easily detachable, and can be easily attached. By simply pulling up the separator, the upholstery fixing clamp is rotated around an axis of the wire, and the wire is easily separated by the gap widened by the elastic deformation of the guide lever, so that the locking can be easily released.Furthermore, since the cushion material does not pose an obstacle and the operation can be carried out in the groove, it is not necessary to press on the cushion material and deform it, so that it is possible to carry out the operation successfully with little force. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0018] In the following, illustrative embodiments of the present invention are explained with reference to the drawings. In the descriptions of a cover fabric fastening clamp 10, the directions are based on a Fig. 2. For example, the front-and-back direction coincides with a direction extending the wire 36 disposed in a deep portion of a groove 34 of a cushion material 30 described later, coincides with a direction extending a peripheral edge of a cover fabric, or coincides with a direction extending a later-described engaging end portion 42. The up-and-down direction, which coincides with a depth direction of the cushion material 30, is perpendicular to the front-and-back direction, and coincides with a direction perpendicular to a surface of a cover fabric 32 disposed on the cushion material 30, or coincides with a direction in which the engaging end portion 42 sewn to the cover fabric 32 hangs down.A direction along which the engaging end part 42 is inserted into the notch of the cushion material 30 and coupled to the wire 36 also coincides with the up-and-down direction. A direction perpendicular to the front-and-back and up-and-down directions is referred to as the right-and-left direction. A direction parallel to the right-and-left direction is referred to as the transverse direction.

[0019] In Fig. 1 shows an illustrative embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, the upholstery fabric fastening clamp 10 has a pair of locking claws 12 with opposing arm portions 12d. Base end portions of the arm portions 12d (which are also base end portions of the locking claws 12) are integrally formed from both sides of an upper surface 14a of the base 14 of the locking portion 11 (this is also referred to as one surface of a base 14 of the locking portion 11). The locking claws 12 are projecting from the upper surface 14a in Fig. 1 is formed from upwards projecting (henceforth the upward and downward directions are Fig. 1 as the up-and-down direction), and a distance between the locking claws 12 to the left and right widens as they are guided upward. A locking portion 11 is formed by the locking claws 12 and the base 14 of the locking portion 11. Tip ends 12a of the locking claws 12 are each bent inward, that is, in a converging direction. Each of the tip ends 12a has an engagement surface 12b facing the base 14 of the locking portion 11 and engaging with the engagement end part 42. The engagement surface 12b is formed substantially parallel to the upper surface 14a of the base 14 of the locking portion 11. The engagement end part 42 described later is received in and coupled with the region defined by the pair of locking claws 12 and the base 14 of the locking portion 11.

[0020] Stoppers 16 are provided on inner surfaces 12c of the arm portions 12d of the pair of opposing engagement claws 12. The stopper 16 is a rib located at a midpoint with respect to a thickness direction of the engagement claw 12 (also referred to as the front-and-back direction) that intersects the direction in which the engagement claws 12 face each other. The stopper 16 starts at the engagement surface 12b of the engagement claw 12, extends along the inner surface 12c to the upper surface 14a of the base 14 of the engagement portion 11, and, like the inner surface 12c and the upper surface of the base 14 of the engagement portion 11, is substantially U-shaped.A width of the stopper 16 in the thickness direction is narrowest in a region near the engaging surface 12b, is widest in a boundary region between the inner surface 12c and the upper surface 14a, and has a medium width in a central part of the upper surface 14a.

[0021] The base 14 of the engaging portion 11 has a hook 18 on a lower surface 14b opposite the upper surface 14a (this is also referred to as the other surface of the base 14 of the engaging portion 11). The hook 18 has, at an end portion of the lower surface 14b, a projection 18a in the extending direction of the pair of engaging claws 12, which projects downward at a substantially right angle to the lower surface 14b, and a claw-shaped portion 18c projecting from a tip end of the projection 18a into Fig. 3 is bent to the left and is inclined upwards towards the base 14 of the engaging portion 11. A tip end of the claw-shaped portion 18c is inclined at an angle closer to the upward and downward direction than the inclination angle of the claw-shaped portion 18c and is tapered. The hook 18 has a protrusion extending in the opposite direction to the claw-shaped portion 18c (in Fig. 3 to the right). The flange portion 18b is inclined such that its tip end is directed downward.

[0022] An end portion of the flange portion 18b of the hook 18, which is located on a side opposite the claw-shaped portion 18c, has a separator receiving portion 20 for receiving a separator 46 described later. The separator receiving portion 20 is a plate-shaped member extending from the end portion of the flange portion 18b toward the engaging claw 12, spaced from and substantially parallel to the extension 18a, and has a tip end 20a extending to a position slightly below the tip end 12a of the engaging claw 12 and disposed laterally of the engaging claw 12. That is, the separator receiving portion 20 extends parallel to the extension 18a of the hook 18, and its tip end is located on one side of the engaging portion 11 relative to the base 14 of the engaging portion 11.Between the tip end of the cutter receiving portion 20 and the engaging portion 11, an insertion hole 21 into which the cutter 46 is inserted is formed, and a groove portion 19 is formed continuously from the insertion hole 21. The groove portion 19 into which the cutter 46 is inserted is surrounded by and formed by the projection 18a, the flange portion 18b, and the cutter receiving portion 20. A lower portion (an upper surface of the flange portion 18b) of the U-shaped groove portion 19 between the cutter receiving portion 20 and the projection 18a of the hook 18 forms a cutter holding portion 25 to which the cutter 46 is engaged. The separator holding portion 25 is surrounded by the projection 18a, the flange portion 18b, the separator receiving portion 20, and a later-described locking convex portion 24, and is coupled to the locking portion 52b of the separator 46. The separator receiving portion 20 has a curved portion that extends near the base 14 of the locking portion 11 in a slightly curved manner parallel to the outer slope of the upper portion of the locking claw 12. A rib 22 extending in the longitudinal direction of the separator receiving portion 20 is formed on an outer side surface (a right side surface) of the curved portion of the separator receiving portion 20.On an inner side surface (a side surface facing the groove portion 19 into which the separator 46 is inserted) of the separator receiving portion 20, which is opposite to the extension 18a of the hook 18, the engaging convex portion 24 is formed near the flange portion 18b. The engaging convex portion 24 is a rib formed in a triangular shape toward the extension 18a and protrudes closer toward the extension 18a the further it extends downward. That is, a surface of the engaging convex portion 24 near the flange portion 18b is arranged substantially at a right angle to an extension direction of the separator receiving portion 20, and one of its surfaces opposite to the flange portion 18b intersects an extension direction of the separator receiving portion 20 at an obtuse angle. As a result, when the engaging portion 52b of the separator 46 is inserted into the groove portion 19, the engaging portion 52b passes over the obtuse-angled surface and is engaged with the engaging convex portion 24. In the state engaged with the fabric clamp, the engaging portion 52b of the separator 46 has a circular shape in a section through a plane formed by the upper and lower and left and right directions, and a rod-like, i.e., a circular-cylindrical shape along the front and rear directions, which is longer than the size of the separator receiving portion 20, and is connected to a holding portion 48 having support parts 52a at both end portions of the engaging portion 52b of the circular-cylindrical shape, thereby forming the separator 46.In a state where the locking portion 52b is coupled to the locking convex portion 24, the locking portion 52b can rotate in the separator holding portion 25.

[0023] One of the pair of locking claws 12, on the side opposite the side of the locking claw 12 with the separator receiving portion 20, is integrally provided with a guide lever 26. The guide lever 26 is formed so as to protrude from the locking claw 12 near the center thereof, extends downward in a curved manner, passes laterally past the claw-shaped portion 18c of the hook 18, and reaches a lateral side of the flange portion 18b near its lower end portion. The guide lever 26 has a curved portion 26a extending parallel with an inclination toward the lower inner side of the arm portion 12d of the locking claw 12 and is slightly bent outward in the vicinity of the claw-shaped portion 18c of the hook 18.An inner side surface of the guide lever 26, which faces the hook 18, has a locking projection 28 located slightly above an extension line of the claw-shaped portion 18c. The locking projection 28 is triangular in shape in a direction of the claw-shaped portion 18c. Furthermore, the lower surface 14b of the base 14 of the locking portion 11 has a guide projection 29 extending toward the guide lever 26.

[0024] Next, a method of using the upholstery fixing clamp 10 will be described with reference to Fig. 2 to 4. As described in Fig. 2 to 4, the cover material fastening clamp 10 is used to tightly fasten the cover material 32 at a predetermined location on the surface of the cushion material 30 of a vehicle seat.

[0025] Here, the cushion material 30 and the upholstery material 32 are explained. The cushion material 30 is a synthetic resin material, such as foamed polyurethane, which is formed according to the shape of the seat. The cushion material 30 is formed with a groove 34 for securing the upholstery material, and the wire 36 is arranged in the groove 34. The wire 36 is made of a metallic rod material and is installed during the molding of the cushion material 30 using an insertion method.

[0026] The cover fabric 32 is made of a synthetic resin film or the like, covers the surface of the cushion material 30, and has a stitched portion 38 in a portion corresponding to the groove 34 of the cushion material 30. The stitched portion 38 is formed by placing the edges of a pair of cover fabrics 32 together so that their inner sides face and overlap, and stitching them with a coupling band 40. The engaging end part 42 is integrally formed on a side edge of the coupling band 40 on the opposite side from the stitched portion 38. The engaging end part 42 is formed of a synthetic resin, has a substantially V-shaped cross-sectional shape, and is formed along a longitudinal direction of the coupling band 40. The locking end part 42 is attached to the coupling band 40 by performing an insert molding technique on a side edge of the coupling band 40.The engaging end portion 42 has a size that allows it to fit into the pair of engaging claws 12 of the upholstery fabric fastening clamp 10 and has engaging notches 44 at equal intervals in a longitudinal direction of the coupling band 40. The engaging notch 44 has a width and depth that allows the stopper 16 of the upholstery fabric fastening clamp 10 to be inserted therein.

[0027] When the cover fabric 32 is tightly bonded to the cushion material 30, the cover fabric fixing clip 10 is attached to any location of the engaging end portion 42 of the coupling band 40 attached to the cover fabric 32. A plurality of cover fabric fixing clips 10 are fixed at equal intervals in the longitudinal direction of the engaging end portion 42. When the engaging end portion 42 is pressed between the pair of engaging claws 12 of the cover fabric fixing clip 10, the pair of engaging claws 12 are elastically deformed and expanded, allowing the engaging end portion 42 to pass through. When the engaging end part 42 has passed through, the elastic deformation of the engaging claws 12 is restored, so that the tip ends 12a of the pair of engaging claws 12 enclose the end portion of the engaging end part 42 on one side of the sewn area 38 and the engaging end part 42 is enclosed between the pair of engaging claws 12 and thus is not released. At this time, the stoppers 16 of the engaging claws 12 are inserted into the engaging notches 44 of the engaging end part 42, so that the upholstery fabric fixing clamp 10 is held at a predetermined position without moving in the longitudinal direction of the engaging end part 42.

[0028] The stitched portion 38 of the upholstery fabric 32, to which the upholstery fabric fixing clamp 10 is attached, is then fitted into the groove 34 of the cushion material 30, and the hook 18 of the upholstery fabric fixing clamp 10 is brought into contact with and pressed onto the wire 36. The wire 36 is brought into contact with the flange portion 18b of the hook 18 and is moved along the slope of the flange portion 18b toward a gap between the claw-shaped portion 18c and the guide lever 26. The gap is smaller than a diameter of the wire 36, so the wire 36 cannot pass through the gap as it is. Further, the guide lever 26 and the hook 18 are elastically deformed and expanded when the upholstery fabric fixing clamp 10 is pressed from above. When the gap becomes wider than the diameter of the wire 36, the wire 36, while passing over the engagement projection 28 of the guide lever 26, passes through the gap and enters the area enclosed by the claw-shaped portion 18c, the base 14 of the engagement portion 11, and the guide lever 26. After the wire 36 passes through, the elastic deformation of the guide lever 26 is restored, and the gap is narrowed again, preventing the wire 36 from detaching.

[0029] Since the base end portion of the guide lever 26 is bent from the center of the engagement claw 12, a U-shaped groove is formed between the guide lever 26 and the engagement claw 12, so that the wire 36 may accidentally enter the groove. However, since a guide projection 29 is formed on the bottom surface 14b to block the groove, it is possible to prevent the wire 36 from accidentally slipping into the groove. In addition, the guide projection 29 smoothly guides the wire 36 that has passed through the gap between the guide lever 26 and the claw-shaped portion 18c into the interior of the claw-shaped portion 18c. As a result, the upholstery fixing clamp 10 is coupled to the wire 36, and the upholstery fixing clamp 10 is bonded to the surface of the cushion material 30 when inserted into the groove 34.

[0030] To release the cover fabric fastening clamp 10 from the wire, the Fig. 7 is used. Here, the separator 46 will be explained. The separator 46 includes a rod-shaped holding portion 48 having a long length in one direction. An end portion 48a of the holding portion 48 has a thin, quadrangular, prism-shaped insertion portion 50. The insertion portion 50 protrudes laterally and parallel to a longitudinal direction of the holding portion 48, and a cross-sectional shape thereof intersecting the protruding direction has a rectangular shape having a long length in one direction. A tip end of the insertion portion 50 is provided with the engaging part 52. The engaging part 52 includes a pair of rod-shaped support parts 52a arranged near a short side of the rectangular insertion portion 50, and a rod-shaped engaging part 52b connecting tip ends of the pair of support parts 52a.The engaging portion 52b is preferably formed in a circular cylindrical shape with a circular cross section. However, the cross section is not necessarily strictly circular, but may be elliptical, triangular, or polygonal. In a state where the upholstery fixing clamp 10 is engaged with the separator 46, a direction of the engaging portion 52b connecting the pair of support members 52a coincides with an extending direction of the wire 36 in a state where the upholstery fixing clamp 10 is engaged with the wire 36, or with the front-and-back direction of the upholstery fixing clamp 10.Also, a gap between the pair of support parts 52a is larger than the extension of the separator receiving portion 20 along the front-and-rear direction, and the engaging portion 52b and the tip end of the insertion portion 50 are longer than the depth of the groove portion 19 of the separator receiving portion 20. Therefore, in a state where the engaging portion 52b of the separator 46 is engaged with the separator holding portion 25 and the fabric fixing clamp 10 rotates around the engaging portion 52b, the fabric fixing clamp 10 can smoothly rotate without being hindered by the support parts 52a and can be separated from the wire 36. The insertion portion 50 is smoothly bent in a direction intersecting with the engaging portion 52b.

[0031] When separating the upholstery fastening clamp 10 from the wire 36, the separating device 46 is inserted into the groove 34 of the cushion material 30 on one side of the separating device receiving area 20 of the upholstery fastening clamp 10, and at the same time, the engaging part 52 is inserted and pressed between the engaging claw 12 and the separating device receiving area 20, as shown in Fig. 5. As a result, the engaging portion 52b of the engaging part 52 of the separator 46 abuts against the engaging convex portion 24 of the separator receiving portion 20. When the separator is further pressed, the separator receiving portion 20 is elastically deformed and thereby expanded. At this time, the transverse force due to the rib 22 is sufficiently transmitted to the base end portion of the separator receiving portion 20. Once the engaging portion 52b of the engaging part 52 passes through, the shape of the separator receiving portion 20 is restored, and the engaging portion 52b enters the area below the engaging convex portion 24 and is not separated from it.At this moment, since the flange portion 18b of the hook 18 is lower on one side of the separator receiving portion 20, a position at which the separator receiving portion 20 is engaged with the engagement portion 52b is located below a position at which the hook 18 is engaged with the wire 36, and is located on a side deviated to the right from below the position at which the hook 18 is engaged with the wire 36 in the vertical direction.

[0032] Then, the separator 46 is pulled upward. The direction in which the separator 46 is pulled upward coincides with the up-and-down direction of the upholstery fastening clamp 10 and the depth direction of the groove 34 of the cushion material 30. The direction opposite to the insertion direction of the engaging end portion 42 into the groove 34 coincides with the direction in which the separator 46 is pulled upward from the bottom of the groove 34 of the cushion material 30 in the depth direction. When the separator is pulled upward, the engaging portion 52b of the separator 46 is held in the separator holding portion 25 of the separator receiving portion 20 and is not separated therefrom, as shown in FIG. Fig. 6. As a result, a torque is applied to the upholstery fixing clamp 10 about the wire 36 in accordance with the movement of the engaging portion 52b. The wire 36 is guided to the claw-shaped portion 18c of the hook 18 and the engaging projection 28 of the guide lever 26, and is thus located in the gap between the guide lever 26 and the claw-shaped portion 18c. As the upholstery fixing clamp 10 is further pulled upward, the wire 36 abuts the engaging projection 28 of the guide lever 26, so that the force is applied in a direction that opens the guide lever 26. As a result, the guide lever 26 is elastically deformed, and the wire 36 passes between the guide lever 26 and the claw-shaped portion 18c, so that the upholstery fixing clamp 10 is separated from the wire 36. This separates the cover material 32 from the cushion material 30.Since the separator 46 is coupled to the projection 18a of the hook 18 disposed on the separator receiving portion 20, the separator is still coupled to the separator receiving portion 20 even after the upholstery fastening clip 10 is separated from the wire 36. However, it is possible to easily detach the separator by opening the separator receiving portion 20 outward with one hand. Although the force with which the separator 46 is engaged with the separator receiving portion 20 is greater than the force with which the wire 36 is engaged with the hook 18, the separator 46 can be easily detachable with one hand.

[0033] According to this illustrative embodiment of the upholstery fixing clamp 10, by locking the upholstery fixing clamp 10 to the wire 36 of the cushion material 30, it is possible to securely fasten the upholstery material 32 to the cushion material 30. Furthermore, it is possible to separate the upholstery fixing clamp 10 from the wire 36 with the separator 46 in a simple operation, thus making the operation efficient. When separating the upholstery fixing clamp 10 from the wire 36, the separator 46 is coupled to the locking convex portion 24 simply by inserting the separator 46 between the engaging claw 12 and the separator receiving portion 20 from above. That is, the separator 46 can be easily inserted, is not easily detached, and can be easily attached.Furthermore, when the separator 46 is pulled upward in one direction, the upholstery fixing clamp 10 rotates around an axis of the wire 36, and the wire 36 is easily separated through the gap opened by the elastic deformation of the guide lever 26, so the locking can be easily released. Therefore, it is not necessary to perform a complicated operation such as twisting in a specific direction, so anyone can perform the operation.

[0034] When operating the separator 46, the cushion material 30 does not pose an obstacle, so the upholstery fabric fastening clamp 10 of the embodiment can be easily operated in the groove 34 of the cushion material 30. Since it is not necessary to press and deform the cushion material 30 to expose the separator 46, it is possible to perform the operation efficiently with a small force. Because the separator receiving portion 20 is formed parallel to the engagement claw 12, it is easy to insert the separator 46, which also contributes to the efficiency of the operation.

[0035] Stoppers 16 are formed on the engaging claws 12, and the stoppers 16 are inserted into the engaging notches 44 of the engaging end portions 42, so that the cover fabric fastening clamp 10 is locked at a predetermined position and does not move in the longitudinal direction of the coupling band 40. For this reason, the cover fabric 32 is not separated from the cushion material 30, no wrinkling or sagging of the cover fabric 30 is caused, and the cover fabric 32 can be properly fastened, thereby improving its external appearance. Since engaging notches 44 are formed at equal intervals on the engaging end portion 42, flexibility is increased, so that the operation can be performed easily.

[0036] Also, the guide lever 26 has a bent portion formed at its center, allowing the guide lever 26 to be elongated and easily bent through elastic deformation. Since the guide lever 26 is connected to the engaging claw 12, it is possible to achieve a greater elongation of the guide lever 26 compared to a configuration in which the guide lever 26 is connected to the base 14 of the engaging portion 11. Therefore, even with the same material and cross-sectional shape, the guide lever 26 can be easily elastically deformed, allowing the wire 36 to pass through easily.

[0037] Since the hook 18 is connected to the base 14 of the engaging portion 11 of the engaging claw 12, a fastening force transmission path from the wire 36 to the engaging claw 12, the engaging end portion 42, the coupling band 40, and the covering fabric 32 can be kept linear, and the covering fabric 32 can be securely fastened. A guide projection 29 extending toward the guide lever 26 is formed on the lower surface 14b of the base 14 of the engaging portion 11. Therefore, even if the groove is formed between the portion near the connecting portion of the guide lever 26 and the engaging claw 12, the wire 36 is guided by the guide projection 29, so that accidental insertion of the wire into the groove can be prevented.

[0038] Furthermore, the locking convex portion 24 of the cover material fastening clamp 10 of the embodiment formed on the separator receiving portion 20 can be formed on the hook 18. According to a Fig.In the upholstery fastening clip 54 shown in Fig. 8, an engaging convex portion 56 is formed near the flange portion 18b on an inner side surface of the projection 18a of the hook 18, which is opposite to the separator receiving portion 20. The engaging convex portion 56 is formed as a rib formed in a triangular shape toward the separator receiving portion 20, one of its surfaces near the flange portion 18b is arranged at a substantially right angle relative to an extension direction of the hook 18, and one of its surfaces facing away from the flange portion 18b intersects the extension direction of the hook 18 at an obtuse angle.Although the flange portion 18b continues from the extension 18a at a substantially right angle, the outer side surface of the claw-shaped portion 18c is formed with the long inclination so that the wire 36 is guided between the claw-shaped portion 18c and the guide lever 26.

[0039] The upholstery fixing clamp 54 of the illustrated embodiment has the same effects as the upholstery fixing clamp 10. The separator 46 is easily engaged by inserting the separator 46 between the engagement claw 12 and the separator receiving portion 20 with the engagement protrusion 56. That is, the separator 46 can be easily inserted, is not easily disengaged, and can be easily attached. Furthermore, when the separator 46 is simply pulled upward, the upholstery fixing clamp 56 rotates around the axis of the wire 36, and the wire 36 is easily separated through the gap that widens when the guide lever 26 is elastically deformed, so that the coupling can be easily released.

[0040] Furthermore, the upholstery fixing clamp of the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and the specific shape, size, and the like can be changed accordingly. The material, surface finish, color, etc. of the upholstery fixing clamp can be freely selected. In the upholstery fixing clamp, the width in the thickness direction intersecting the direction in which the pair of locking claws oppose each other is comparatively wide for the locking claw and the locking claw base portion, and relatively narrow for the hook, the separator receiving portion, and the guide lever. However, these widths may be the same, or they may be selected opposite to the above description. However, the widths of the guide lever and the separator receiving portion are preferably narrow to ensure deformability.Although the tip end of the locking claw is chamfered, it may be rectangular. However, the chamfered shape can reduce unwanted interference with the locking end part. The rib formed on the separator receiving portion can be omitted if desired. However, the formed rib allows for secure transmission of the force exerted on the separator and the separator receiving portion, thus allowing for easy attachment / detachment of the upholstery fastening clamp. To engage the separator with the separator receiving portion, in addition to the engagement projection, a cutout portion or the like formed on the separator receiving portion or the hook may also be provided.
