Abstract

Method for indicating a parking authorization of a motor vehicle by means of a parking authorization indicator device after the motor vehicle has been brought into a parking position, wherein - a parking position determination device provided in the motor vehicle determines the geographical position of the motor vehicle, - for the geographical position of the motor vehicle, it is determined whether and, if so, which of several parking permits is required, and - the parking permit, if required, is displayed by means of the parking permit display device, - where, for the specific geographical position of the motor vehicle, it is determined that the parking authorization is effected by the display of a parking receipt confirming the payment of a parking fee for a specific period, and accordingly the parking receipt is displayed by the parking authorization display device, and - whereby, for the specific geographical position of the motor vehicle, it is checked using the entries in a vehicle-internal or vehicle-external database whether the parking receipt must be displayed by the parking authorization display device at this geographical position to obtain the parking authorization.
