Abstract

Method (400) for determining a speed profile for each vehicle (100-1, 100-2, 100-3) of a convoy (110) of grouped vehicles (100-1, 100-2, 100-3) for use in an upcoming route section (220-2) located in front of the convoy (110) in the direction of travel (105), the method (400) comprising: Obtaining (402) at least two possible speed profiles for the convoy (110) from at least two of the vehicles (100-1, 100-2, 100-3) of the convoy (110) to be used in the upcoming route section (220-2); Distribution (403) of the obtained (402) possible speed profiles to the at least two vehicles (100-1, 100-2, 100-3) of the convoy 110; Assessing (404) each distributed (403) candidate speed profile for the at least two vehicles (100-1, 100-2, 100-3) based on how favorable the respective candidate speed profile would be for the own vehicle (100-1, 100-2, 100-3) in order to reduce a weighted sum of the energy consumption and the travel time of said vehicle (100-1, 100-2, 100-3) with respect to the topology of the upcoming route section (220-2); Compilation (405) of the assessments (404) of each distributed (403) speed profile in question by the at least two vehicles (100-1, 100-2, 100-3); and Determining (406) the speed profile for each vehicle (100-1, 100-2, 100-3) in the convoy (110) for use when driving in the upcoming route section (220-2) on the basis of the compiled (405) assessments (404) of the distributed (403) candidate speed profiles.
