Description

[0001] The invention relates to a rolling grille with a rolling grille curtain that can be rolled up onto a shaft and unrolled from the shaft, which has corrugated bars, wherein a cross bar is provided between adjacent corrugated bars and wherein the adjacent corrugated bars and the cross bar provided between them are articulated to one another by means of holding clamps, which holding clamps engage on opposite corrugation peaks and the cross bar arranged between the corrugation peaks of adjacent corrugated bars.

[0002] Such rolling grilles are used to close window or door openings in buildings. These prior art rolling grilles comprise a rolling grille covering that can be rolled up onto or unrolled from a shaft positioned above the window or door opening. The shaft is driven in rotation by a shaft drive to roll up and down the rolling grille covering. The rolling grille coverings of prior art rolling grilles comprise corrugated bars, with adjacent corrugated bars abutting one another at the crests of their waveforms such that the waveforms of the adjacent corrugated bars form a series of diamonds. To prevent penetration through the diamonds formed between adjacent corrugated bars, a non-corrugated, straight cross bar is provided between each adjacent corrugated bar.The adjacent corrugated bars and the crossbar between them are connected to each other by means of retaining clips, which engage the retaining clips on opposite corrugation crests and the crossbar arranged between the corrugation crests of adjacent corrugated bars. The roller blinds of conventional rolling grilles, or at least their corrugated and crossbars, are often made of steel. When rolling up and unrolling these conventional rolling grilles, the steel corrugated and crossbars collide with each other in such a way that the rolling up and unrolling of these rolling grilles can be associated with an undesirably high level of noise.

[0003] US 4,516,377 A already discloses a generic rolling grille of the type mentioned above, comprising a rolling grille curtain that can be rolled onto a shaft and unrolled from the shaft and that has corrugated bars, wherein a cross bar is provided between adjacent corrugated bars, and wherein the adjacent corrugated bars and the cross bar provided between them are articulated to one another by means of retaining clips, which retaining clips engage opposite corrugation peaks and the cross bar arranged between the corrugation peaks of adjacent corrugated bars. The cross and corrugated bars used in the rolling grille previously known from US 4,516,377 A are all made of an anodized aluminum alloy. The rolling grille is accordingly light, but comparatively resistant to compressive forces acting approximately perpendicularly on the plane of the rolling grille curtain.

[0004] A rolling grille is already known from AU 556 750 B2, the roller shutter curtain of which is formed from corrugated bars that are firmly connected to each other in pairs at their opposite corrugation troughs. Adjacent pairs of corrugated bars are hingedly connected at their opposite corrugation crests via a connecting element. AU 556 750 B2 describes that the pairs of corrugated bars, each forming a rigid grille element, can be made of aluminum, while the connecting elements are made of high-density polyethylene, nylon, or another suitable plastic material. The rolling grille curtain of the rolling grille previously known from AU 556 750 B2 is also correspondingly lightweight, but comparatively low-load capacity due to the aluminum material used for the grille elements.

[0005] DE 198 04 303 A1 discloses a generic rolling grille whose rolling grille curtain is formed from corrugated and cross bars that are guided laterally during opening and closing. The corrugated and cross bars of the previously known rolling grille are connected to one another via retaining clips, each consisting of two identical, interconnectable profile parts. The two profile parts forming a retaining clip each have a groove and a tongue. The tongue of one profile part can be inserted laterally into the groove of the other profile part in such a way that the profile parts of each retaining clip are held securely and firmly together and are held laterally immovably in the trough or crest of the corrugated bars they encompass. The profile parts can therefore only be joined together using the corrugated or cross bars they encompass. Once the corrugated and cross bars of the previously known roller blind are slidably guided in the lateral roller grille guides, lateral movement of the corrugated and cross bars and separation of the paired profile parts are no longer possible. The installation and repair of this previously known roller blind is correspondingly complex.

[0006] The object is therefore, in particular, to create a rolling grille of the type mentioned at the outset which is characterised, on the one hand, by the low wear on its rolling grille curtain and, in particular, by reduced noise generation when the rolling grille curtain is rolled up and down, as well as by a high load-bearing capacity, even with respect to compressive forces acting approximately perpendicular to the plane of the rolling grille curtain.

[0007] The solution to this problem according to the invention in the case of the rolling grille of the type mentioned at the outset consists in particular in that the corrugated bars and the cross bars of the rolling grille curtain are made of different materials from one another, that the corrugated bars are made of aluminum, brass or an aluminum or brass alloy and the cross bars are made of steel, that the holding clamps are made of the material of the corrugated bars, and that the holding clamps are each designed in two parts and have two clamp parts that are locked together.

[0008] The rolling grille according to the invention has a rolling grille curtain that can be optionally rolled onto a shaft or unrolled from this shaft. The shaft, which can be driven in rotation via a shaft drive, is usually arranged above a building opening in order to be able to open this building opening as needed or to securely close it with the lowered rolling grille curtain. The rolling grille curtain has corrugated bars, with adjacent corrugated bars facing each other with their corrugation peaks such that the corrugations of these adjacent corrugated bars form a row of diamonds. A cross bar is provided between each of the adjacent corrugated bars arranged axially parallel to the shaft, which cross bar prevents unauthorized persons from reaching through the diamonds arranged between the adjacent corrugated bars.Adjacent corrugated bars and the cross bars provided between them are articulated to one another by means of retaining clips which engage retaining clips on opposite corrugation crests and the cross bar arranged between the corrugation crests of adjacent corrugated bars. According to the invention, the corrugated bars and the cross bars of the rolling grille curtain are made of different materials. While the corrugated bars are made of aluminum, brass, or an aluminum or brass alloy, the cross bars are made of steel. Since the retaining clips are also made of the same material as the corrugated bars and since the retaining clips are therefore made of a softer metallic material than the cross bars, the rolling grille curtain of the rolling grille according to the invention is characterized by particularly good running properties when rolling up or down.In order to be able to connect the adjacent corrugated bars and the cross bars located between them securely but still in an articulated manner, and in order to be able to produce the rolling grille curtain of the rolling grille according to the invention in the simplest possible way, the invention provides that the holding clamps are each designed in two parts and have two clamp parts that are connected to one another in a locked manner.

[0009] A preferred embodiment, which is also characterized by a particularly attractive appearance, provides that the corrugated bars have an anodized, coated or blasted outer surface.

[0010] It can be advantageous if the cross bars have a coated and / or polished and / or galvanized outer surface.

[0011] Further developments of the invention will become apparent from the claims in conjunction with the drawings and the description. The invention is described in more detail below using a preferred embodiment.

[0012] The single figure shows a section of a rolling grille curtain 1 of a rolling grille not otherwise shown. The rolling grille curtain is designed to be rolled up onto a shaft and unrolled from this shaft. The rolling grille curtain 1 has corrugated bars 2, with a cross bar 3 provided between each adjacent corrugated bar 2. The adjacent corrugated bars 2 and the cross bar 3 provided between them are articulated to one another by means of retaining clips 4. The retaining clips 4 engage opposite corrugation peaks 5 and the cross bar 3 arranged between the corrugation peaks 5 of adjacent corrugated bars 2.

[0013] The rolling grille curtain shown here can be used to close a window or door opening in a building. For this purpose, the rolling grille curtain can be rolled up onto the shaft positioned above the window or door opening or unrolled from this shaft. The shaft for rolling the rolling grille curtain up and down can be rotated using a shaft drive. The corrugated bars 2 lie against one another with the wave crests 5 of their wave shapes such that the wave shapes of the adjacent corrugated bars 2 form a row of diamonds. To prevent the diamonds formed between adjacent corrugated bars 2 from penetrating, a non-corrugated, straight cross bar 3 is provided between each of the adjacent corrugated bars 2. The adjacent corrugated bars 2 and the cross bar 3 provided between them are articulated to one another by means of the retaining clips 4.

[0014] The corrugated bars 2 on the one hand and the cross bars 3 of the rolling grille curtain 1 on the other hand are made of different materials. In the exemplary embodiment shown here, the retaining clips 4 are also made of the material of the corrugated bars 2. The corrugated bars 2 and the retaining clips 4 are made of a softer material than the cross bars 3. In the exemplary embodiment shown here, the corrugated bars 2 and the retaining clips 4 are made of aluminum, brass, or an aluminum or brass alloy and have a matte outer surface, for example, achieved by blasting. In contrast, the cross bars 3 are made of steel and have a shiny outer surface, for example, galvanized.

[0015] The retaining clamps connecting the corrugated bars 2 and the cross bars 3 are each formed in two parts and have two clamp parts that can be locked together or connected in the same way.

[0016] The roller grille shown here is characterized by its particularly smooth running characteristics when rolling up and down, as well as its low noise level. However, it is also possible for the retaining clips 4 to be made of a softer material than the corrugated and / or cross bars, particularly a softer metallic material. Retaining clips made of a softer metallic material, in particular, facilitate easy twisting of the corrugated and cross bars held within them, thus facilitating the running characteristics of the roller grille.
