Abstract

Device comprising: a vehicle roof (16) defining four roof openings (18) through it; four roof modules (20), each configured to engage a corresponding one of the four roof openings (18), each of the four roof modules (20) comprising: a frame (22); a window pane (24) mounted on the frame (22); a first motor (26) configured to selectively open and close the window pane (24) when supplied with electrical energy, the first motor (26) being mounted on the frame (22); a shading element (28) mounted on the frame (22); a second motor (30) configured to selectively adjust the position of the shading element (28) when supplied with electrical energy, the second motor (30) being mounted on the frame (22);and a locking mechanism adjustable by the driver, comprising: a locked state to secure the frame (22) of each of the four roof modules (20) in the corresponding of the four roof openings (18) and to establish an electrical circuit (36) to supply electrical energy to the first motor (26) and the second motor (30); and an unlocked state to remove each of the four roof modules (20) from the corresponding of the four roof openings (18) and to open the electrical circuit (36).
