Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a rear box for a children's vehicle, in particular for a children's tractor. The children's tractor can be equipped with pedals for propulsion. However, the children's vehicle can also be powered by a motor.
[0002] It is known to attach a trailer equipped with wheels to a children's vehicle, on whose loading area, for example, bulk material such as sand can be transported. EP 0 723 793 B1 discloses a trailer designed as a three-way tipper, the loading area of which can be tilted about various axes, allowing a player to unload the transported bulk material at a chosen location. Such a trailer is considerable in weight and makes it difficult for a child to ride a children's tractor pulling such a trailer. Furthermore, such a trailer has a complex structure, and its production is associated with considerable costs.
[0003] US 2014 / 0378026 A1 does not disclose a children's vehicle like a tractor on which a child can move, but rather a toy shaped like a truck. In this toy, a moldable material can be formed into three-dimensional figures using cylindrical rollers and molds. For this purpose, the toy has a pivoting container held by two arms that can be pivoted upward using protruding handles in the shape of exhaust pipes. The container can then tip the moldable material into an opening in the top of the truck after a lid has been pivoted upward to expose the opening.
[0004] The present invention is based on the object of providing a simpler device with which a children's vehicle can be equipped to transport any small objects such as toys, children's tools, etc., as well as bulk materials such as sand or stones. This device is intended to increase the play value of a children's vehicle and be simple in design.
[0005] This object is achieved according to the invention by the features of patent claim 1.
[0006] Advantageous embodiments of the invention are characterized in the subclaims.
[0007] The invention provides a rear box for a children's vehicle, in particular for a children's tractor, which has a tipping bar that is attached to the rear of the children's vehicle and a trough-like container that is attached to the tipping bar in such a way that it can be pivoted between an initial position in which it rests on the tipping bar and a position tilted about the end section of the tipping bar. In the initial position, the trough-like container rests securely on a substantially horizontal section of the tipping bar fixed to the children's vehicle, so that driving the tractor through the rear box is not made more difficult, as would be the case with a trailer. In order to unload transported objects or bulk goods from the rear box, the trough-like container is pivoted or tilted by hand about a horizontal joint up to a stop.tilted, which connects the trough-like container to the end section of the tilting bracket, wherein the tilted position is an overhead position, so that the trough-like container cannot swing back into the horizontal starting position by gravity.
[0008] According to the invention, the trough-like container consists of a bottom wall and a peripheral wall, which has a rear wall facing the child's ride-on vehicle and two adjacent, opposite side walls. The peripheral wall is open at the front side facing away from the child's ride-on vehicle. This open side is closed by a flap separate from the peripheral wall and pivotally attached to the peripheral wall. The flap can be pivoted about an upper and lower horizontal axis to unload transported objects.
[0009] The trough-shaped container is preferably manufactured in one piece using a plastic injection molding process, except for the pivoting flap. It is preferred that the peripheral wall be bent outward at its upper edge and is spaced from the peripheral wall in such a way that a player can grasp the portion underneath to lift the trough-shaped container into the tilting position.
[0010] The tipping bar essentially comprises two sections running at right angles to each other, with one vertical section of the tipping bar being attached to the rear of the child's vehicle when installed, and the trough-like container resting on the other, horizontal section in the initial position. These two sections consist of a bent metal tube, with the rear section essentially having a U-shape or arch and the horizontal section consisting of two adjoining, parallel tube sections that extend beneath the base wall until just before its end and are hinged to the base wall at their end sections. The two tube sections have aligned transverse bores through which hinge pins run. These are connected to webs running longitudinally under the base wall of the trough-like container. The trough-shaped container is pivotally connected to the tilting bracket at such a point that both the horizontal starting position and the tilted position are maintained by gravity. The tilted end position is preferably determined by the bottom wall of the pivoted trough-shaped container abutting the ends of the two pipe sections.
[0011] Further features and details of the invention will become apparent from the following description and the drawings, which show: Fig. 1A to 1E show a tilting bracket in a rear view, a top view, a side view and in perspective views; Fig. 2A to 2C show the attachment of the tipping bracket to a tractor body in a rear view, a side view and a top view; Fig. 3 a complete rear box in a side view; Fig. 4 the rear box tilted sideways, opened at the top; Fig. 5 the rear box tilted sideways, opened at the bottom; Fig. 6 the rear box in a view from behind; Fig. 7 the rear box in a view from above; Fig. 8 the rear box in a view from below; Fig. 9 the rear box in a view from the front.
[0012] The Fig. 1A to 1E show an embodiment of a tipping bar 1 composed of three tubular sections. A long tubular section 2 has a substantially U-shaped section 3, which is arranged vertically when the tipping bar 1 is attached to a children's tractor, and a substantially horizontal section 4, on which a trough-like container 5 rests in its non-tilted initial position. Approximately halfway up the section 3, a transversely extending tubular section 6 is attached, to which a substantially vertical tubular section 7 is attached. This tipping bar 1 is made of metal tubes.
[0013] Both end sections of the pipe sections forming the horizontal section 4 are drilled through. Hinged pins 9 extend through the aligned holes 8, which are also guided by pairs of webs 10 that project from the underside of the bottom wall of the trough-like container 5 and accommodate the pipe sections 4 between them ( Fig. 8). These hinge pins 9 connect the trough-like container 5 to the tilting bracket 1.
[0014] Fig. 2 shows the rear 11 of a children's tractor 12. Two pairs of clamping bodies 13 are fastened one above the other to the rear 11, between which the tubular piece 7 of the tipping bar 1 is clamped in order to fasten the tipping bar 1 with its vertical section 3 to the children's tractor 12.
[0015] The Fig.Figures 3 to 9 show the complete rear box. The trough-like container 5 contains a bottom wall 14 reinforced by downwardly projecting webs and a surrounding peripheral wall 15 consisting of a rear wall 16 facing the child's vehicle and two opposing side walls 17. The open rear side is closed by a flap 18, which is detachably connected to the side walls 17 at both the bottom and top by hinges 19, 20.
[0016] The peripheral wall 15 is bent outward at its upper edge portion and at the edge portion facing the flap, with the bent portions 21, 22 being spaced apart from the peripheral wall 15. The bent portions 21, 22 reinforce the trough-shaped container 5 and allow a player's hand to grasp underneath this edge portion in order to pivot the trough-shaped container into the tilting position. This is facilitated by the fact that indentations 23 are formed in the bent portion 21 in the area of the U-shaped portion 3 of the tilting bracket 1, so that a player can grasp underneath the edge of the trough-shaped container 5 and lift it at this point.
