Description

The invention relates to a motor vehicle having at least one lighting device in the region of a flap with the features of the preamble of claim 1.Such a motor vehicle and such a part of a lighting device are known from DE 10 2018 215 988 A1 of the applicant. Specifically, this document describes a rear lighting system which consists of a first part and a second part. The first part of the lighting device is connected to a fixed body and the second part of the lighting device is connected to a tailgate of the motor vehicle. The two parts of the lighting device are arranged adjacent to each other and separated from each other only by a joint formed by the body and the tailgate. In each part of the lighting device, planar light bodies are present, which are each enclosed in a frame-like component and are arranged next to one another and / or one above the other. The lighting device described makes it possible to create a very appealing appearance of the motor vehicle.Furthermore, EP 2 960 574 A1 discloses a motor vehicle having a lighting device which likewise comprises two parts. One part is mounted on a body and the other part is mounted on a tailgate. A gap is formed between the body and the tailgate or between the parts of the lighting device. Each part of the lighting device has a housing which is covered by a light screen in the light emission direction. In the receiving space formed by the housing and the light screen, an elongate light guide is received, into which light is coupled at the edge by a lighting means. The coupled-in light is deflected in the direction of the light pane via a rear coupling-out structure and exits via a light emission surface. In order to keep an unexposed area around the gap between the parts of the lighting device as small as possible when the lighting device is switched on and thereby to improve the appearance of the switched-on lighting device, ends of the light plates facing each other are designed structurally such that additional emission surfaces are created. The present invention is based on the object of improving the appearance of such a motor vehicle even further. Another object of the present invention is to provide a part of a lighting apparatus for an automobile which provides the conditions that the appearance of the automobile equipped with such parts of a lighting apparatus can be improved. The present objects are achieved by a motor vehicle having the features of claim 1 and by a part of a lighting device having the features of claim 10. Advantageous embodiments or refinements of the invention can be gathered from the respective dependent claims. The invention is based on a motor vehicle having at least one lighting device in the region of a flap. In this case, a first part of the lighting device is connected to a fixed body and a second part of the lighting device is connected to a flap of the motor vehicle. Each part of the lighting device has at least one flat light body and at least one lighting means, the light beams of which can be coupled or are coupled into a side surface or, in other words, into an edge-side surface of the light body. Input light beams can additionally emerge to the outside via a light exit surface surrounded by side surfaces of the light body or emerge in this way. At least a part of the side surfaces is covered by a frame-like component. At least one light body of the first part of the lighting device is adjacent to a light body of the second part of the lighting device. The invention now proposes that the mutually facing sides of the frame-like components of the two light bodies each project into an indentation which is formed in each case by a housing wall of the first part and of the second part of the lighting device. In this way, the prerequisite for the appearance of the lighting device, in particular in the region of the joint between the body and the flap, being able to be improved even further. In particular, by the frame-like components projecting into the respective indentation, the existing distance of the light bodies adjacent in the region of the joint can be reduced. In a development of the invention, it is proposed that the indentations are offset from one another at a distance, as viewed in the longitudinal direction of the motor vehicle. In this way, a three-dimensional appearance of the lighting device can also be generated in the region of the joint. In this case, according to a further advantageous embodiment of the inventive concept, it is proposed that the indentation of the housing wall of the second part of the lighting device is offset further in the direction of a light emission direction of the lighting device than the indentation of the housing wall of the first part of the lighting device. This can contribute to a particular optical effect of the illumination device.According to another expedient development, each indentation forms a bulge on the outer side of the housing wall. Such a development can ensure that the housing of the lighting device has sufficient stability in the region of the indentation.Alternatively, it is indeed also conceivable to realize the indentations by thinning the material of the housing wall in this region. It is very advantageous with regard to a compact construction if the two light bodies are each assigned a printed circuit board on which the at least one lighting means is seated. The sheet board is arranged vertically with its surface extension and inserted at the rear into the frame-like component. The distance of said adjacent light bodies can be reduced even further if the printed circuit board is inserted into the frame component on such a side of the latter that is remote from the indentation or, in other words, that is arranged remote from the indentation. It is very detrimental to a unique and therefore brand-specific appearance if at least a part of the frame-like components is arranged in such a way that they form overlapping regions, as viewed in a view of the lighting device counter to its light emission direction.Such an appearance can be further reinforced if the overlap regions are formed in such a way that a fan-like structure results. The fan-like structure is formed such that a frame-like component located further inward in the vehicle transverse direction overlaps an adjacent frame-like component located further outward in the travel transverse direction, as viewed opposite to a light emission direction of the lighting device, on a front side of the frame-like component located further outward. An imaginary vertical longitudinal center plane of the motor vehicle is intended to serve as a reference plane for the location indication "further inward" and "further outward".Advantageously, at least a part of the light bodies can be arranged offset to one another in the transverse direction and / or in the vertical direction of the motor vehicle. As mentioned initially, the present invention is also intended to provide a part of a lighting device for a motor vehicle. Such a part of a lighting device has a housing in which a planar light body and at least one lighting means is accommodated, the light beams of which can be coupled or are coupled into a side surface of the light body.Planar in the sense of the invention is intended to mean that the light body has a planar extent running in two mutually perpendicular directions, which is many times greater than a thickness of the light body in each direction.Input light beams can emerge to the outside via a light exit surface surrounded by side surfaces of the light body or emerge in this way. At least a part of the side surfaces is covered by a frame-like component.According to the invention, it is proposed that the frame-like component protrudes on one side into an indentation which is formed by a housing wall of the housing of the lighting device.Such a part of a lighting device creates the basic prerequisite for the appearance of a motor vehicle equipped with such parts of a lighting device being able to be improved. To increase the stability in the region of the indentation, it is proposed that the indentation forms a bulge on an outer side of the housing wall.According to another development of the lighting device, the light body is assigned a printed circuit board on which the at least one lighting means is arranged. In an imaginary mounting position of the part of the lighting device on the motor vehicle, the printed circuit board is arranged vertically with its surface extension and inserted at the rear into the frame-like component. In particular, the circuit board is inserted on a side of the frame-like component which is remote from the indentation. This creates the prerequisite for the fact that, when two such parts of a lighting device are used, the distance between the light bodies can be reduced even further in the region of a joint between the flap and the body of a motor vehicle. In a very advantageous embodiment of the inventive concept, light-scattering impurities are arranged distributed in at least one part of the light body. In this way, a certain amount of scattering of the light beams coupled into the light body can be achieved, which leads to an improvement of a homogeneous light emission through the part of the lighting device. In said part of the light body, the light-scattering impurities are arranged not only on the surface of the light body but also distributed therein. Thus, the light scattering impurities are shielded from external influences and the sought scattering effect can be maintained for a long time.It is particularly expedient here if the part of the light body containing the light-scattering impurities has a transmittance in a range from about 85 percent to about 95 percent, preferably a transmittance of about 90 percent.A preferred exemplary embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the figures and is explained in more detail in the following description with reference to the figures. This also makes further advantages of the invention clear. Identical reference numerals, also in different figures, relate to identical, comparable or functionally identical components. Corresponding or comparable properties and advantages are achieved in this case, even if a repeated description or reference thereto is not made. The figures are not, or at least not always, true to scale. In some figures, proportions or distances may be exaggerated to more clearly emphasize features of an embodiment. They show, in each case schematically FIG. 1 shows a view of a lighting device in the region of a tailgate of a motor vehicle counter to its light emission direction, FIG. 2 shows a sectional view according to section profile II from FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows a detail region according to detail III from FIG. 2, FIG. 4 is an exploded view of a light body and a frame-like component; and FIG. 5 shows a sectional view according to the sectional profile V from FIG. 4, but in the mounted state.Reference is first made to FIG. 1. This figure shows a section of a motor vehicle K in the region of a lighting device 1 designed as a left tail lamp. A right tail lamp (not visible) is constructed in a mirror-symmetrical manner. In contrast to the exemplary embodiment, a lighting device according to the invention can also be designed differently, for example as a headlightThe lighting device 1 comprises a first part 1 athat is embedded in a body 2 and a second part 1 bthat is embedded in a flap 3, i.e. in a tailgate of the motor vehicle K.As can be seen, the parts 1a, 1b of the lighting device 1 are separated from each other by a joint 4 present between the body 2 and the flap 3.In this figure, as in the following figures, X denotes a longitudinal axis of the vehicle, Y denotes a transverse axis of the vehicle and Z denotes a vertical axis of the vehicle. Each part 1 a, 1 bof the lighting device 1 has a plurality of planar light bodies 30, which are each embedded in a frame-like component 10.Specifically, the first part 1 aof the lighting device 1 has two light bodies 30 each having a frame-like component 10 and the part 1 bof the lighting device 1 has three planar light bodies 30 each having a frame-like component 10.It can be seen here that the frame-like components 10 are arranged with respect to one another in such a way that an overlap region Ü is formed in each case between two adjacent frame-like components 10.It is particularly clearly evident from FIG. 2 that the frame-like components 10 with the flat light bodies 30 located therein are arranged in a fan-like manner. In other words, a frame-like component 10, which is situated further inward in the vehicle transverse direction Y to an imaginary vertical vehicle longitudinal center plane, thus overlaps a frame-like component 10, which is situated further outward in the vehicle transverse direction Y, on the front side thereof. In order to optimize the optical appearance of the lighting device 1 in a view opposite to a light emission direction LA in the region of the joint 4, a special structure is selected in this region, which is explained in more detail below. In FIG. 2, in which the body 2 and the flap 3 are no longer shown for the sake of clarity, it can be seen that the part 1 aof the lighting device 1 consists of a housing G with a housing wall 100 aand the part 1 b consists of a housing G with a housing wall 100 b. The housings G of the parts 1 a, 1 bare each covered in the light emission direction LA by a light screen 101 a, 101 b.It is already clear from FIG. 2 that each light body 30 is surrounded by a frame-like component 10. A respective printed circuit board 20 is brought from behind to the rear side of the frame-like component 10, which printed circuit board is introduced at the rear side into the frame-like component 10 via an opening not numbered in any more detail here. Each printed circuit board 20 carries lighting means 40, which are preferably designed as light-emitting diodes, and by means of which light beams can be coupled into the light body 30 at the edge, that is to say via a side face of the latter. In the region of the joint 4, the housing walls 100 a, 100 bhave indentations 102 a, 102 b, respectively. The frame-like components 10 adjacent there project to a certain extent into these indentations 102 a, 102 b.It can also be seen that, in the case of these two adjacent frame-like components 10, the light coupling of the lighting means 40 takes place in each case on a side of the frame-like component 10 or of the light body 30, which side is remote from the indentations 102 aand 102 b, i.e. lies remote from the latter. In this way, a guidance of the adjacent light bodies 30 can be further promoted despite the existing joint 4.In the case of the other frame-like components 10 as well, the circuit board 20 is in each case inserted on the rear side into the frame-like component 10. The plates 20 are preferably designed to be flexible, so that they can also carry out a 90 degree bending, visible in FIG. 2. It is also conceivable to design the circuit boards 20 as foil-like, flexible circuit boards. As a result, a compact construction of the parts 1 a, 1 bof the lighting device 1 can be further promoted. The region of the indentations 102 a, 102 bcan be seen particularly well with reference to FIG. 3. Preferably, the frame-like component 10 preferably projects into the indentation 102 a, 102 bin each case to such an extent that a lateral edge of a front-side, window-like opening 17 does not project beyond the housing wall 100 aor 100 b, at most approximately flush with the latter.Furthermore, it can be seen from the figure that the light bodies 30 adjacent in the region of the joint 4 are offset with respect to one another at a distance a in the vehicle longitudinal direction X. In particular, the light body 30 located further toward the vehicle front-rear in the vehicle transverse direction Y is offset further in the direction of the light emission direction LA than the light body 30 located further toward the vehicle front-rear in the vehicle transverse direction Y.As a result, a three-dimensional appearance of the illumination device 1 can also be strengthened across the joint 4.Said indentations 102 a, 102 bin turn form correspondingly shaped bulges 103 a, 103 bon the outer sides of the housing walls 100 a, 100 b. As a result, it is possible to dispense with a material dilution in the region of the indentations 102 a, 102 b, although such a dilution is conceivable additionally or alternatively to the bulges 103 a, 103 b.Furthermore, the housing walls 100 a, 100 bhave front-side thickened portions 104 a, 104 b, into which grooves 105 a, 105 bmay be let.The front-side thickenings 104 a, 104 bor (if present) the grooves 105 a, 105 bare used for the bearing of ribs 106 a, 106 bwhich, in a welding process, not shown, are used by means of laser welding for welding the light sheets 101 a, 101 bto the housing walls 100 a, 100 b.With reference to FIG. 4, the structure of the frame-like component 10 and of the flat light body 30 in the region of the joint 4 is illustrated by way of example in exploded fashion alone. It can thus be seen that the light body 30 is configured planar, with a planar extent F which is many times greater than a thickness d of the light body 30 in mutually perpendicular directions. The light body 30 has a light exit surface 35, the surface normal of which is directed in the light emission direction LA. The light exit surface 35 is surrounded by side surfaces 31, 32, 33 and 34.On the left-hand side of the light body 30 in the figure, the circuit board 20 with the lighting means 40 is partially shown. The frame-like component 10 has side walls 11, 12, 13 and 14. The lower side wall 14 is also provided with an elongate opening 15 (indicated by dashed lines) which is designed such that the frame-like component 10 can be slid over the light body 30 in an assembly movement B.The frame-like component 10 further has a window-like opening 17 on the front side (see also FIG. 3 ). The window-like opening 17 can also be divided by one or more horizontally and / or vertically extending struts 18 (indicated by dashed lines). Finally, the assembled state is shown in FIG. 5. It can be seen here that the circuit board 20 is brought to the rear side of the frame-like component 10, then is guided along its rear wall 16 and finally is guided into the frame-like component 10 via a rear opening 19.Furthermore, it is shown that light beams L generated by the lighting means 40 can be or are coupled into the light body 30 via the side surface 33, that is to say on the edge side.At least a part of the light body 30 is provided in its interior with distributed, light-scattering impurities 38. The impurities 38 can be introduced into the light body 30, for example, by a laser method. The imperfections 38 lead to a scattering of the coupled-in light beams L, so that a very homogeneous light appearance can be achieved in the light emission direction LA.An inner, rear-side surface 16 aof the frame-like component 10 and / or a rear-side surface 36 of the light body 30 can be designed to be reflective. This can be realized, for example, by a corresponding coating (not shown), preferably a metallic coating.
