Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a scenting arrangement for a vehicle.
[0002] Fragrance systems for vehicles come in numerous variations. They typically include a fan, one or more fragrance cartridges, and a valve unit to prevent the fragrance from spreading when the vehicle is idle. Depending on the size of the device, these are housed in storage compartments in the instrument panel or center console, or near air vents, and marketed as optional extras. A stream of air mixed with the fragrance is introduced into the interior by feeding it, for example, via air hoses or ducts, into the air vents of a vehicle's air conditioning system or through separate nozzle-like openings.
[0003] A disadvantage of the existing fragrance arrangements is that accessibility and visibility in the storage compartments from a normal seating position are generally poor. The interior of the storage compartments is difficult to see due to their depth. Positions in the lower part of the instrument panel require additional flaps or similar devices. Positions near the air vents are generally exposed to sunlight and can suffer from excessive heating of the fragrances.
[0004] CN 2 15 751 822 U discloses an air purification system for a vehicle, comprising an air cleaner, a fragrance module, a pollutant sensor, a filter, and a fan. The air purification system is integrated into a storage compartment and its cover, which are located in an armrest arranged on the center console.
[0005] DE 198 47 651 A1 discloses an arrangement of a fragrance dispenser in the airflow of a ventilation or air conditioning system, particularly in a vehicle. The fragrance dispenser comprises a carrier and a fragrance-emitting substance arranged on the carrier. To enable rapid and inexpensive replacement of the fragrance dispenser or its fragrance-emitting substance, the carrier is detachably arranged at an externally accessible opening in the wall of an air duct in the evaporator housing of the ventilation or air conditioning system, protruding into the air duct and tightly closing the opening. The carrier has recesses or air-permeable walls to allow the airflow to pass through for the purpose of enriching it with fragrance. The evaporator housing is preferably arranged a short distance from the rear of a glove compartment and is flowed through by blown-in air from back to front. In the rear wall of the glove compartment there is an access opening that can be closed with a flap, which corresponds to the opening in the wall of the air duct and through which the fragrance dispenser can be inserted into the evaporator housing.
[0006] DE 199 52 235 A1 discloses a ventilation device for the interior of a motor vehicle and a glove compartment. The ventilation device can be coupled to the glove compartment in such a way that the ventilation device also supplies the glove compartment with air. For this purpose, the glove compartment is at least partially surrounded by a channel through which the air flow from the ventilation device can flow. Furthermore, a cover of the glove compartment can also be traversed by air, thus achieving a good multidimensional cooling effect.
[0007] DE 101 34 223 A1 discloses an air freshener for a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle, comprising several olfactory devices arranged between the air inlet and air outlet, which can be controlled by an electronic control device. At least two separate air ducts are provided, and the air flowing through them can be independently modified by the olfactory devices in the air ducts. The olfactory devices can include dosing and / or distribution devices for the olfactory substances.
[0008] The invention is based on the object of providing a fragrance arrangement for a vehicle with improved accessibility and visibility.
[0009] This object is achieved by a fragrance arrangement for a vehicle having the features of patent claim 1. Advantageous embodiments with expedient further developments of the invention are specified in the dependent patent claims.
[0010] In order to provide a fragrance arrangement for a vehicle with improved accessibility and visibility, the fragrance arrangement is arranged in the region of a multi-shell lid of a glove compartment formed in an instrument panel. In addition, at least one air vent is integrated into the multi-shell lid of the glove compartment. A valve unit is designed to connect the at least one fragrance cartridge to the at least one air duct in the activated state and to separate it from the at least one air duct in the deactivated state. Such a valve unit can, for example, have a valve for each fragrance cartridge in order to fluidically connect the corresponding fragrance cartridge to the at least one air duct or the at least one air vent or to separate it from the at least one air duct or the at least one air vent.At least the at least one air duct, the valve unit, and the blower are arranged in a housing. In this variant of the fragrance arrangement, only the at least one air vent and a power connection for the blower of the fragrance arrangement can be integrated into the lid of the glove compartment. The multi-layer lid of the glove compartment has a receiving recess on a side facing the interior of the glove compartment, into which the housing can be inserted. The housing of the fragrance arrangement can preferably be flat. Suitable holding geometries can be arranged in the receiving recess so that the housing can be integrated into the receiving recess of the lid in a space-saving manner. This allows a retrofit device with fan, valve unit, and electronics to be sold and easily adapted. This enables a cost-effective retrofit solution without removal and installation effort and with minimal effort for preparatory measures. The retrofit device can be plugged in later.
[0011] In the present case, a fragrance arrangement for a vehicle is understood to mean an arrangement with at least one fragrance cartridge, at least one air duct, and a blower designed to generate an air flow between an inlet opening of the at least one air duct and at least one air vent. The at least one air vent is designed to direct the generated air flow into a vehicle interior. Preferably, the at least one air vent can be designed as a double nozzle, so that the air can exit directly from the multi-layered lid of the glove compartment toward the driver and front passenger.
[0012] Since the lid of the glove compartment is generally designed with at least two shells, this offers the possibility of integrating at least the at least one air vent, but also the at least one air duct and / or corresponding cable guides and fastening elements of the fragrance arrangement into the lid of the glove compartment without generating additional expenditure. This results in space-saving accommodation of the fragrance arrangement, since the hollow space in the lid of the glove compartment can be utilized. In addition, the open lid of the glove compartment offers very good accessibility and a high-quality presentation, since the inside of the lid is clearly visible. Embodiments of the fragrance arrangement according to the invention can advantageously facilitate the replacement of the at least one fragrance cartridge and the activation of the fragrance arrangement.
[0013] In a further advantageous embodiment of the fragrance arrangement, the housing can have at least one cartridge receptacle into which the at least one fragrance cartridge can be inserted. Furthermore, an outlet hose can protrude from the housing and connect an outlet opening of the at least one air duct to the at least one air vent. During assembly, the outlet hose can simply be plugged onto a corresponding connection of the air vent.
[0014] In the area of at least one cartridge receptacle, a control element for the corresponding fragrance cartridge can be arranged.
[0015] The features and feature combinations mentioned above in the description, as well as the features and feature combinations mentioned below in the description of the figures and / or shown alone in the figures, can be used not only in the respective combinations specified, but also in other combinations or on their own, without departing from the scope of the invention. Thus, embodiments are also to be considered encompassed and disclosed by the invention that are not explicitly shown or explained in the figures, but which emerge and can be produced from the explained embodiments through separate feature combinations.
