Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a system for the automatic collection (or recording) of domestic waste (household waste) in a waste collection station outside a building, in particular a residential building, for its subsequent transport for disposal.
[0002] The inconveniences associated with garbage collection, especially household waste, have been recognized since the beginning of garbage collection and subsequent waste disposal. Garbage cans on sidewalks and narrow street conditions also pose a significant safety risk for everyone involved in road traffic. Although handling and convenience have improved significantly in recent years and decades (garbage chutes in high-rise buildings, central waste collection points, underground waste disposal via air movement (garbage / waste vacuum systems), etc.), there is still no established automated garbage collection solution available that allows garbage to be disposed of directly from inside buildings.
[0003] The present invention is therefore based on the object of improving and facilitating the convenience and handling of the collection of waste, in particular household waste.
[0004] According to the invention, this object is achieved by a system for the automatic collection of household waste in a waste collection station outside a building, in particular a residential building, for its subsequent transport for disposal, comprising: - a waste collection point outside a building, especially a residential building, - a waste input device with a waste input opening, preferably inside the building, - a non-pneumatic conveying device connected directly or indirectly downstream of the waste input device for the motor-driven conveying of the domestic waste fed into the waste input device to the waste collection station, and - a waste dispensing device for discharging the household waste conveyed by the conveyor device to the waste collection station.
[0005] In contrast to a non-pneumatic conveying device, a pneumatic conveying device would be, for example, a conveying device that operates using negative pressure (suction). A non-pneumatic conveying device essentially refers to a mechanical conveying device.
[0006] Waste collection can be carried out both systematically and in a non-systematic manner for subsequent transport for disposal.
[0007] Garbage deposit (sometimes referred to as trash drop-off) can generally be above ground (above ground) or below ground (below ground). It can also be done both inside and outside a building. Garbage is usually packed in garbage bags. It can also be stored (short-term) in a bag or unbagged, e.g., in a trash can (garbage container).
[0008] Waste disposal can generally be carried out above ground (above ground) or below ground (underground). Furthermore, it usually takes place outside of a building.
[0009] The waste collection station may, for example, include (mobile) garbage bins or large waste containers, etc. and / or be designed as a central collection point.
[0010] According to a particular embodiment, the waste input device comprises an input shaft extending horizontally through an outer wall of the building and an input compartment which can be moved horizontally into the input shaft from the interior of the building and horizontally out of the same.

[0038] In particular, it can be provided that the distribution station or waste sorting device has a rail guide with a rail, a travel unit that can be moved on the rail, preferably horizontally, a mast that is mounted or arranged vertically on the travel unit, a travel device that can be moved along the mast and has a horizontal arm, and a support element that is attached to the arm, preferably wherein the support element is rotatably mounted in order to pivot it in a horizontal plane, preferably by 180°, if necessary.
[0039] The present invention is based on the surprising discovery that automated conveying (transport) of waste, especially household waste, significantly improves and simplifies waste collection. Eliminating the need to walk to the trash can also increases the motivation to separate waste. Depending on the solution, this results in space savings at home, as waste storage is no longer necessary, or even eliminates the need to bring a trash can to a street.
[0040] With the various collection concepts, garbage bins on the streets can become a thing of the past, thus achieving environmentally / energy-friendly and effective waste collection.
[0041] Both in the private and commercial sectors, a contribution can be made to modern and future-oriented waste collection and subsequent waste disposal, leading to a new era of waste collection.
[0042] Areas of application include single-family, multi-family and high-rise buildings, retirement homes, hospitals and industry.
[0043] The system can be controlled and monitored using an app, for example.
[0044] There may also be other benefits: The waste containers (above or below ground) can be installed near the waste collection point. There is no obligation to adhere to waste collection schedules, as the waste containers can be located close to a street and can be picked up directly by a waste collection service.
[0045] Only small drive forces are required for the system units, resulting in low energy consumption. This, in turn, enables power supply from PV (photovoltaic) systems, which is highly sustainable.
[0046] The color of the garbage containers can be adapted to the surroundings, so that the streetscape is not disturbed by garbage containers (garbage cans, dustbins).
[0047] Road users are not obstructed by garbage containers (depending on the system). The systems can be retrofitted.
[0048] In addition, such investments can enhance the amenities of real estate, which can lead to an increase in the value of the property.
[0049] Further features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the appended claims and the following description, in which preferred embodiments of the invention are described with reference to the merely schematic drawings. [0050] Fig. 1a and Fig. 1b show two different perspective views of a waste input device 14 of a system for the automatic collection of domestic waste in a waste collection station (not shown) outside a building (not shown) for its subsequent transport for disposal according to a particular embodiment of the present invention. The waste input device 14 comprises a horizontally extending through an outer wall 500 (see Fig. 1d to 1f) and an input compartment 22, which in this example can be moved horizontally into and out of the input compartment from the interior 24 of the building. The input compartment 20 comprises a square tube made of thermal insulation material, and the input compartment 22 comprises a front panel 26, on the side of which a plate-shaped thermal insulation element 28 is attached, facing away from the interior 24 of the building.
[0051] Furthermore, the input compartment 22 comprises a slide element 30 movable in the longitudinal direction of the input shaft 22.
[0052] In addition, the input shaft 20 has a spring-loaded closing flap 32 at its end facing away from the interior 24 of the building for closing the input shaft 22.
[0053] The embodiment can, in principle, be installed in an exterior wall in any room of a building. In this example, a rectangular recess (not shown) extending through the exterior wall (masonry) 500 must be provided in the exterior wall 500, into which the square tube made of thermal insulation material with a certain thickness, for example, Styrodur, polystyrene, or similar, is firmly placed to prevent cold bridges. The square tube also functions as a housing, preferably with panels 34 and 36 attached to the front. A handle 38 or similar is preferably located on the front panel 26 of the input compartment 22. The thermal insulation element 28 allows the insertion compartment to be tightly closed so that no heat exchange takes place. Also provided on the front panel 26 is a base plate 40 with two side parts 42 and 44 on the right and left as a boundary to the input shaft 20.
[0054] The slide element 30 can be moved along the entire base plate 40. In the resting state, the slide element is located near the front plate 26.
[0055] In the relaxed state, the closing flap 32 closes the interior of the drawer 20 by spring force (see spring 46 in the Fig. 1d-f), so that no vermin and moisture due to weather conditions can penetrate, and closes hermetically. If the sliding element 30 moves towards the closing flap 32, the closing flap 32 is opened either by pushed garbage, in particular household garbage, especially in garbage bags, or at the latest by the sliding element 30 itself, which has the external driver 48 (see in particular Fig. 1c and Fig. 1e), which opens the closing flap 32 through an exemplary closing mechanism explained below, so that, for example, a garbage bag (not shown) containing household waste can fall out. Due to the pre-tensioned spring 46, in this example a tension spring, the closing cap 32 closes automatically as soon as the sliding element 30 has returned to a starting position.
[0056] In this example, the slide element 30 is driven by threaded rods 50 and electrically controlled by a corresponding control device (not shown).
[0057] As can be seen in particular from the Fig. As shown in Figure 1d, the locking mechanism for the locking flap 32 is mounted on both sides of the input shaft 20. The locking mechanism includes a guide rail 52 on each side, which is firmly connected to the input shaft 20. The spring 46, in this example a tension spring, with a one-sided connection to a fixed location on the input shaft 20 or on the guide rail 52, is connected to the outer locking flap 32.
[0058] Located in the guide rail 52 is a movable slotted nut 54, to which a coupling rod 56 is attached. The coupling rod 56 is connected at its other end to the closing flap 32.
[0059] As already mentioned above, the slide element 30 is provided with drivers 48 on both sides, which come into contact with the sliding block 54 and move the sliding block 54, thereby opening the closing flap 32. When the slide element 30 moves back, the closing flap 32 is returned to its initial position by the spring 46 (see also the Fig. 1d to 1f).
[0060] The Fig. 2a and Fig. 2b relate to a waste input device 14 of a system for the automatic collection of domestic waste at a waste collection station outside a building for subsequent transport for disposal according to another particular embodiment of the present invention. Just as in the previous figures, it is assumed that the domestic waste is filled into garbage bags (not shown) and that the garbage bags are ultimately collected. The garbage input device 14 in this example has an input shaft 20, one end 58 of which extends horizontally through an outer wall (not shown) of a building (not shown) and the remaining input shaft part 60 of which extends horizontally in the interior 24 of the building, and a garbage container formation 62 for forming, in this example, three garbage containers (trash cans) 64 on the input shaft part 60 and preferably the garbage container formation 62 is horizontally movable, preferably in a controlled manner, from a garbage discharge position above a garbage inlet opening of the input shaft part 60 into a filling position offset therefrom in the longitudinal direction of the input shaft 20 into the interior 24 of the building.
[0061] In this example, the cross-section of the waste containers 64 increases towards the underside and the waste containers 64 have, in this example, two controlled opening flaps 66 on both sides (see Fig. 2b) for opening and closing the bottom sides of the waste containers 64.
[0062] This embodiment can, in principle, be installed in any room, preferably with a corresponding optical cladding on an exterior wall of a building. In particular, this embodiment can also be integrated into a kitchen unit. The horizontal input shaft (transport shaft) 20 is firmly connected to the exterior wall in a recess. The end 58 can be similar to the input shaft 20 of the Fig. 1a to 1f.
[0063] In principle, the waste bins can be arranged individually or in rows, for example. The opening flaps can preferably be controlled independently of the opening flaps of the other waste bins, depending on which waste bin needs to be emptied.
[0064] Preferably, the garbage containers 64 have draft slopes on all inner surfaces, which cause the horizontal cross section of the garbage container 64 to increase from top to bottom, so that the garbage bags can easily fall out downwards due to their own weight when the opening flaps 66 are opened.
[0065] As already mentioned above, the waste container formation 62 is placed on the input shaft part 60, with the possibility of horizontally pulling out the waste containers 64 for easier and more convenient filling from the kitchen unit (not shown), as is otherwise known. If a waste bag is to be "disposed of," it is closed in the waste container, the container formation 62 is pushed into the correct position, and a corresponding selection button is pressed to "dispose of" the waste bag. The corresponding opening flaps 66 open, and the waste bag slides gently under its own weight to the bottom of the input shaft (transport shaft) 20. The opening flaps 66 close again. A slider element 30, for example as shown in the Fig. 1a to 1f, transports the garbage bag towards the outer wall. A closing flap 32, for example as shown in the Fig. 1a to 1f, are opened by the pushed garbage bag or the carrier 48 on the slide element 30. The closing flap 32 closes again once the garbage bag has left the input chute (transport chute) 20. The closing flap 32 closes hermetically, preventing air movement. A new garbage bag can be inserted into the vacated garbage container.
[0066] The Fig. 3a and Fig. 3b relate to a waste input device 14 of a system for the automatic collection of domestic waste in a waste collection station outside a building for its subsequent transport for disposal according to another particular embodiment of the present invention. The waste input device 14 comprises a waste container formation 68 for forming, in this example, three waste containers 70 inside a building (not shown) and a vertical input shaft 72 inside the building below the waste container formation 68.
[0067] The cross-section of the waste containers 70 increases towards the bottom. Preferably, each of the waste containers 70 has a controlled, operable single- or multi-part opening flap 66 on its bottom, e.g., as shown in the Fig. 2a and Fig. 2b, for opening and closing the underside of the respective waste container 70. The vertical input shaft 72 has a hopper 74 with guide plates 76, preferably directly below the waste container formation 68. Furthermore, the vertical input shaft 72 includes a braking downpipe 78 below the hopper 74, with, in this example, two lateral braking elements 80. In this example, the braking elements 80 are designed as braking plates.
[0068] This embodiment can, in principle, be installed in any room, preferably with appropriate visual cladding. It does not have to be placed on an exterior wall, but can be located anywhere within a building. The subsequent transport of the garbage bags preferably takes place underground. The functionality of the garbage container formation 68 can be the same as that of the garbage container formation 62 described above.
[0069] After a garbage bag leaves a garbage container 70, it falls into the hopper 74, where it is channeled. Initially, there are several inlets and the mouth is at one outlet (it can also be a two- or multiple-inlet hopper). The guide plates 76 prevent the garbage bag from becoming jammed or stuck as it falls downward. As the garbage bag slides down from the right or left compartment, it pushes the guide plate 76 against an opposite guide plate 76. This creates a channel for the garbage bag.
[0070] After leaving the hopper 74, the garbage bag falls into the braking downpipe 78. The latter can preferably be designed to vary in length, depending on the height difference to be bridged. In the present example, the two braking elements 80 are arranged symmetrically to one another. They close the passage downwards and then open it again. The braking elements 80 have three functions: They gently slow the garbage bag as it falls, they transport the garbage bag by sliding downwards by opening or spacing the braking elements 80, and they simultaneously serve as flaps. When they are fully opened, the garbage bag leaves the braking downpipe 78. The braking downpipe 78 also serves as a bridge between the above-ground and an underground unit.
[0071] It should be noted that the concept can also be used optionally without the garbage container formation 68, in which case it includes the braking downpipe 78. The braking surface can be covered, for example, with a soft foam or a rubber mat, so that a soft component is present between the braking surface and a garbage bag.
[0072] As a variant, the brake downpipe 78 can consist of only one braking surface that works against the wall.
[0073] Here, too, an insulating enclosure in the form of, for example, a rectangular square tube in the area that is embedded in the ground can serve to prevent cold bridges.
[0074] The Fig. 4a to 4h relate to a special garbage container (garbage can) 64 of a system for the automatic collection of domestic garbage in a garbage collection station outside a building, in particular a residential building, for its subsequent transport for disposal, according to a further particular embodiment of the present invention. The system includes a garbage outlet support device, with which the discharge of garbage, in particular in garbage bags, from the garbage container is supported. The garbage outlet support device can also be regarded as a device for the automatic release of a garbage bag. It comprises a mechanism that allows a device in the garbage container, for example in Fig. 4a located garbage bag (not shown) downwards to further positions.
[0075] In this example, the waste container 64 has a generally square, in particular rectangular, cross-section with rounded corners and is open at the top for filling (see e.g. Fig. 4a). On its underside it has, for example, the Fig. 2b shown garbage container 64, opening flaps 66 (see e.g. Fig. 4d and Fig. 4e). If the opening flaps 66 are opened, the garbage bag falls downwards due to its own weight. The two opening flaps 66 in this example are opened and closed by a cross member 82, to which pendulum rods 84 are connected, by being raised and lowered (see especially Fig. 4a to 4e). The cross member is guided through grooves 86, which are incorporated into the waste container 64. A threaded sleeve 88 is integrated into the cross member 82. With the aid of a threaded spindle 90, the cross member 82 can thus be moved (see also Fig. 4f and Fig. 4g).
[0076] For the purpose of additional demoulding, forced demoulding aids 92 are provided on the inside of the waste container 64 (see Fig. 4f and Fig. 4g), which have, for example, a sawtooth pattern on their surface. Should a garbage bag adhere to the walls of the garbage container 64 despite the demolding slopes, which cause the horizontal cross-section of the garbage container 64 to increase from top to bottom, and thus not fall downwards, the forced demolding aids 92, which in this example are attached to both sides of the inner walls of the garbage container 64, force the garbage bag to move downwards, as there is positive contact with the garbage bag due to the sawtooth pattern on their surface. The movement of the garbage bag is strongly promoted in a downward direction by the sawtooth pattern. Since the forced demolding aids 92 are in direct contact with the inner wall of the garbage container 64, they follow the demolding angle at an angle to the vertical, whereby the garbage bag is forcibly conveyed downwards, as the contact pressure decreases with increasing downward movement.
[0077] The wall of the waste container 64 is provided with (vertical) elongated holes, which guide the forced demolding aids 92 and limit their upward and downward movements. Only after the cross member 82 has moved slightly downward and the opening flaps 66 have opened slightly are the forced demolding aids 92 also moved downward by means of pendulum rods 96 with elongated holes. When the cross member 82 is moved upward again, the forced demolding aids are pulled back to their original position by springs, in this example tension springs, 98. The forced demolding aids 92 can also be attached to all four surfaces of the waste container.
[0078] With this mechanism, several garbage bins can be lined up next to each other and each individual garbage bin can be controlled. Fig. 4h shows an example of three rubbish bins (trash cans) 64 arranged side by side in the Fig. 4a to 4g above a vertical conveying shaft 93, of which only an upper hopper is visible, according to a further particular embodiment of the present invention.
[0079] The Fig. 5a to 5f essentially relate to details of a conveyor device 16 of a system for the automatic collection of domestic waste in a waste collection station outside a building, in particular a residential building, for its subsequent transport for disposal according to a particular embodiment of the present invention. The conveyor device 16 comprises a support element 100 with a, in this example, substantially rectangular, waste carrying surface 102 and a controlled-driven pusher 104 for pushing waste, in particular in garbage bags, from the waste carrying surface 102. The waste carrying surface 102 is substantially flat and has an edge boundary 106 on two opposite sides to form a half-shell, which is open on another side for waste disposal or transfer and is delimited on a side opposite the other side by the pusher 104. In this example, the pusher 104 is designed in two parts (see in particular Fig. 5e and Fig. 5f). It comprises a main slide 104a and an additional slide 104b, which is arranged above the main slide 104a and is rotatably connected to the main slide 104a to increase the slide surface upwards. In its rest position, it is vertically upwards. This position is achieved by the action of a spring 110 as soon as no force acts from the rear. As soon as the additional slide 104b is pushed forward from the rear, it tilts forwards. The additional slide 104b is positively locked to the rear and can thus transmit the force forwards.
[0080] Furthermore, the support element 100 has a waste support surface extension element 108 on the open side of the half-shell (see in particular Fig. 5c and Fig. 5d), which can be pivoted from a position substantially perpendicular to the waste carrying surface 102 into a position in the plane of the waste carrying surface in order to extend the waste carrying surface 102 (see, for example, Fig. 5c and Fig. 5d). As can be seen from the Fig. 5a to 5d, the inclination of the garbage carrying surface 102 in the longitudinal direction is controlled and adjustable.
[0081] As can be seen in particular from the Fig. 5e and Fig. As shown in Figure 5f, the additional slide 104b can be tilted forward, and can be returned to its vertical position by means of the spring 110, here a tension spring. The additional slide 104b serves to enlarge the surface area of the slide 104.
[0082] To the Fig. Returning to Figures 5a to 5d, it can be seen that the edge boundaries 106 can be designed with variable angles. They typically serve the function of centering a garbage bag. The slider 104 can be moved along the entire garbage-carrying surface (transport surface) 102. This ensures that the slider 104 always pushes the garbage bag off the garbage-carrying surface 102. The slider 104 can be aligned either perpendicular to the garbage-carrying surface or at an angle. Likewise, the slider 104 can be designed with variable heights and, for example, extend beyond the edge boundaries of the garbage-carrying surface 102 or protrude laterally beyond them.
[0083] In this example, the main slider 104a is driven by two external spindles 112, which are preferably located under a cover and guide threaded bushings 113 attached to the slider 104. In this example, it is designed such that it has elements projecting forward on both sides of the outer area, which center and encompass the garbage bag during its forward movement, thus safely guiding it to the next station.
[0084] The garbage carrying surface extension element 108 provided in the front area of the support element 100 tilts forward as soon as a garbage bag or the slider 104 touches it from behind. This allows gaps to be bridged without hindering the garbage bag's movement. As soon as no forces are applied, the garbage carrying surface extension element 108 returns to an upright position. If the garbage bag is transferred from one support element 100 to another, the garbage carrying surface 102, in this example, is lifted / tilted in the front area by a base frame 114 of the support element 100 using a suitable lifting mechanism, and the garbage bag can then be transferred either from behind or from the side.
[0085] The garbage carrying surface 102 can, for example, be covered with a thin rubber or foam mat, which absorbs impacts and protects the garbage bag from tearing due to sharp objects inside.
[0086] When transferring a garbage bag from one support element 100 to another front support element, whereby both support elements can be, for example, components of a respective carriage (see also Fig. 7b to 7d), the additional slider 104b folds forward from the front support element and thus does not hinder the garbage bag in its forward movement when the garbage bag is transferred forward by the slider of the rear support element.
[0087] The Fig. 5g to 5j show perspective views of a support element 100 of a conveyor device 16 of a system for the automatic collection of domestic waste in a waste collection station outside a building, in particular a residential building, for its subsequent transport for disposal according to another particular embodiment of the present invention. In this example, the support element 100 is part of a carriage. Examples of a carriage are described further below.
[0088] The support element 100 differs from that shown in the Fig. 5a to 5f essentially consists in that the waste carrying surface 102 comprises a conveyor belt 115, which is provided along the travel path of the pusher 104 at approximately the width of the waste carrying surface 102. Preferably, the conveyor belt 115 has the same speed as the pusher 104 when moved forward in a controlled manner, so that a garbage bag is conveyed forward gently. For example, the conveyor belt 115 can be directly or indirectly connected to the pusher 104 and thus driven or provided with its own drive. The upper belt of the conveyor belt 115 is located on the waste carrying surface 102, and the lower belt is located below it.
[0089] With a purely horizontal movement and transfer plane of the support element 100, without a lifting function, a conveyor belt can be attached to the waste carrying surface along its entire length, without a pusher, without a drive for the pusher, and without a waste carrying surface extension element. For example, only the base frame, to which rollers for an underground conveying system are attached, can then be provided with the waste carrying surface including edge borders on the right and left, as well as tensioning or deflection rollers attached to the front and rear for the conveyor belt. The length is variable, and thus several garbage bags can be transported on it. The positions of the garbage bags can be detected, for example, using sensors, and thus different garbage bags with different contents can be transferred to the next station, for example in a timed and separate manner.
[0090] The support element with slider and / or conveyor belt can be used in a variety of ways depending on requirements and can be combined / extended with various conveyor systems.
[0091] The Fig. 6a to 6d show, among other things, a conveyor device 16 of a system for the automatic collection of domestic waste in a waste collection station outside a building, in particular a residential building, for its subsequent transport to disposal according to another particular embodiment of the present invention. The system comprises a waste input device 14 having a waste container formation 116 for forming, in this example, three waste containers 118 inside a building (not shown) and a vertical input shaft 120 inside the building below the waste container formation 116. The vertical input shaft 120 comprises a hopper (e.g., multiple hoppers) 122 directly below the waste container formation 116 and a brake downpipe 124 located thereunder and connected thereto (fluidly connected). The brake downpipe 124 is in turn connected to a preferably underground, horizontally running pipe 128 via an opening 126. Located within the pipe 128 is at least one carriage 130, which comprises a support element 100, a slide 104, and a controllable drive device (not shown). The carriage 130 also comprises a base frame 114 with, in this example, four rollers 132, the axes of which are arranged vertically in this example, so that movement within the pipe 128 is possible and, preferably, the carriage 130 is not too high, and at the same time, the rollers 132 or wheels are arranged as high as possible. The drive device in this example comprises an electric drive motor (not shown) and a rechargeable battery (not shown). In particular, the drive can be battery-operated, for example, via at least one of the rollers 132. Alternatively, the entire carriage 130 can be moved, for example, by means of a drive belt.
[0092] In addition, the carriage has an additional weight 134, which is preferably mounted as low as possible so that the center of gravity of the carriage 130 is shifted downwards, thus ensuring that the carriage always settles in a horizontal position. Due to the curved shape of the tube 128, the carriage 130 also automatically centers itself in the tube, and the wedging effect also achieves the necessary contact pressure on the rollers 132 for movement. Advantageously, wiper or slide elements 136 are mounted at the front and / or rear. These are in constant use and sweep dirt in the tube 128 forwards and / or backwards.
[0093] Within the pipe 128, the carriage 130 can, for example, make its way to a waste collection station (centralized or decentralized). The stations can be directly accessed by the carriage if the distance or a linear pipe network allows it, or the garbage bags can be transferred from one carriage to another at intersections, for example, and then transported to a waste collection station.
[0094] The Fig. Figure 6d shows a special cleaning concept for an underground pipe system. As can be seen from the partial sectional view above and the detailed view below, a trough 138 for collecting dirt in solid and / or liquid form is located on the underside of the pipe 128, and an access pipe 140 for cleaning and / or emptying the trough 138 is located on the top side of the pipe 128, opposite the trough 138. Of course, additional troughs and access pipes can be provided at regular or irregular intervals. For example, the troughs can be installed every 10 meters or always at the beginning and / or end of a pipe system. The width of the trough should preferably be selected so that it does not impede the movement of a carriage.
[0095] Should a garbage bag tear due to improper use or other misuse and its contents leak out in solid or liquid form and spread into the pipe 128, a trough 138 is provided for this purpose. This trough can be rectangular, oval, or round, for example. A scraper or slider element 136 (functioning as a slider + puller), as already mentioned above, is preferably flat in design with a corresponding curvature (corresponding to the pipe radius) on a carriage at the front and rear, so that garbage bags, their leaked contents, and also liquids, depending on the direction of travel, are pushed forward until a trough is reached. There, the garbage bag or its contents are collected. In the same way, the pipe can be rinsed with fresh water, for example, and the water can be wiped away with the scraper or slider element and transported into the troughs.Advantageously, sensors detect the level of waste and give a signal for cleaning.
[0096] The access pipe 140 can, for example, be connected to a suction pipe or hose in order to clean and empty the respective trough.
[0097] Advantageously, the rollers 132 of the carriage are arranged so that they have contact with the pipe 128 far outwards and are thus not hindered in their movement by the troughs 138 and move over the trough.
[0098] The Fig. Figure 7a contains a schematic representation of a pipe network 142 of a system for the automatic collection of domestic waste in a waste collection station outside a building, in particular a residential building, for its subsequent transport for disposal according to a particular embodiment of the present invention. The underground pipe network 142 comprises a main pipe 144, in this example, parallel to a street 146, and several secondary pipes 148 branching off from the main pipe 144, which in this example run beneath the secondary streets 150 branching off from the street 146. Furthermore, feed pipes 152, only some of which are labeled, branch off from the secondary pipes 148 to houses 154, only some of which are also labeled. In the pipes of the underground pipe network 142, there is at least one carriage 130 (see example Fig. 7b to 7d), which is designed, for example, like the carriage 130, which is used in the Fig. 6a to 6d. The carriage(s) 130 are part of a conveyor device and are used to convey or transport waste, in particular household waste, in particular in garbage bags. As can be seen by way of example from the Fig. As shown in Figures 7b to 7d, a lifting function or mechanism on the trolley allows for transferring garbage bags to other trolleys in various ways. For example, a garbage bag can be placed at an angle of 15°, 45°, or 90° (see Fig. 7c) - Pipe crossing can be transferred to another carriage. A transfer to a front carriage can also be made (see, for example, Fig. 7b and Fig. 7d).
[0099] Several trolleys can also be connected in series to increase the garbage bag holding capacity (trolley column) and the garbage bags can be transferred to the front (see for example Fig. 7d).
[0100] Advantageously, each trolley records the information about the contents of the garbage bag and thus the garbage bag can be directed to a correct garbage container (garbage can) at a garbage collection station 12 (see Figure 7a).
[0101] A pipe network of any size can be constructed with main and branch pipes. Even long distances can be covered with the transfer function forward to the next carriage by dividing the entire route into sections.
[0102] The Fig. Figure 8a shows a schematic representation of a central pipe system 156 of a system for the automatic collection of domestic waste in a waste collection station outside a building, in particular a residential building, for its subsequent transport to disposal according to another particular embodiment of the present invention. In this example, a single pipe runs parallel to a road 146 and connects above-ground waste input devices 158 near houses 160 to a waste collection station 12. The waste input devices 158 can be installed, for example, on private property or in a public place. Transponders, for example, can be provided to authorize the opening of the waste input devices 158. This ensures that only authorized persons have access.
[0103] Several carriages 130, for example as in the Fig. 6a to 6d, can form a carriage column 162. The carriage column 162 collects, for example, garbage bags and transports them to the garbage collection station 12.
[0104] As can be seen from the Fig. 8b, the waste input devices 158 have a cover 164 and a vertical input or transport shaft 166 which is in fluid communication with the pipe guide 156, as well as a brake downpipe in the region of the lower end of the input shaft 166 or a brake downpipe 168 which can be moved like in an elevator.
[0105] Fig. Figure 8c schematically shows a waste collection station 12 with three waste containers 170 for the distribution or separation of waste. For this purpose, for example, a distribution station or waste sorting device 173, as used, for example, in the Fig. 17a to 17c and 18, for lifting a carriage or a supporting element of the carriage (see also Fig. 8d).
[0106] Fig. Figure 9 shows a perspective view of a schematically illustrated system 10 for the automatic collection of domestic waste in a waste collection station outside a building, in particular a residential building, for its subsequent transport for disposal according to another particular embodiment of the present invention. The system 10 comprises a waste collection station 12, a waste input device 14, a conveyor device 16, and a waste output device 18. The waste input device 14 can, for example, be designed as described above with reference to Fig. 1a to 1f.
[0107] In this example, the conveyor device 16 has a rail 174 arranged or attached to an exterior wall (not shown) of a building (not shown). The rail 174 can run horizontally, but alternatively or additionally with an incline and, in principle, can span any distance.
[0108] Furthermore, the conveyor device 16 has a support element 100, for example as shown in the Fig. 5a to 5f, as well as a tower 176. The support element 100 is attached to the tower 176 with a slider 104, for example, slightly offset to the right or left, so that the support element 100 can be positioned on the outside of the building below the waste input device 14 and can be adjusted in height. In this example, the tower 176 comprises a threaded spindle (not marked) with guides (not marked) and brackets (not marked). The tower 176 with the support element 100 and the slider 104 can be moved along the rail 174, as indicated by way of example.
[0109] For example, the support element 100 waits under the transfer point behind or below the waste input device until a garbage bag arrives. This position of the support element 100 can also be a permanent resting station. After transferring a garbage bag, the support element 100 moves with the garbage bag toward the garbage collection station 12 with garbage containers (garbage cans) 178. Shortly before reaching the garbage container, the support element 100 is moved to a final height for further transfer to the garbage container(s). Advantageously, the garbage containers are arranged and positioned in a specific manner so that the selected garbage container can be precisely positioned and the garbage bag can be transferred.
[0110] The Fig. 10a to 11c show a carriage of a conveyor device 16 of a system for the automatic collection of domestic waste in a waste collection station 12 outside a building for its subsequent transport to disposal according to another particular embodiment of the present invention in use. The conveyor device 16 comprises a support element 100, for example as shown in Fig. 1a to 1f. The support element 100 can, for example, be combined either directly or with an intermediate lifting mechanism, such as a scissor lifting system 172, on a mobile base 180 as a carriage or trolley 182. The mobile base 180 can, for example, have wheels (see, for example, Fig. 10b and Fig. 10c) or a crawler track (see Fig. 10a) and can be guided by a rail, but can also be operated autonomously.
[0111] The Fig. 10d and Fig. Figure 10e shows details of the scissor lift system 172. It can be used to bridge height differences for raising or lowering the support element 100 with the waste (garbage bags). Depending on the application, preloaded tension springs connected to external articulated joints can be used. For example, the tension springs can be attached to the articulated joints, as well as to the lower and / or upper bearing points between the fixed and loose bearings for preload.
[0112] When the scissor lift system is retracted to its minimum position, the tension spring is maximally preloaded, which maximizes the potential energy and allows the breakaway torque to be easily overcome. This means low drive forces are required for raising the scissor lift, and small drive motors are sufficient to raise the scissor lift. The tension springs can be positioned externally or centrally, and also on the upper and lower outer hinge joints. The support element 100 with slider 104 is positioned at the top of the scissor lift system 172. The support element 100 with slider 104 can be rotated in all directions, allowing a garbage bag to be transferred to the next station.
[0113] The scissor lift system 172, or more generally the lifting system with support element and slide, should be placed close to the garbage containers and, for example, be driven by rollers on rails at the bottom, so that the garbage containers into which the garbage bag is to be disposed can be approached after the garbage bag has been transferred from the conveyor device 16 to a distribution station or garbage collection station. The lifting system can also be integrated directly into the conveyor device if the application requires it.
[0114] The Fig. 11a to 11d serve to illustrate a carriage 130 and its use or function of a conveyor device 16 of a system for the automatic collection of domestic waste in a waste collection station outside a building for its subsequent transport for disposal according to another particular embodiment of the present invention. The carriage 130 has a support element 100, for example as shown in Fig. 1a to 1f, and a slider 104, for example as shown in the Fig. 1a to 1f, as well as rollers 132 by means of which it can be moved on a rail 174.
[0115] The Fig. 11a shows such a carriage 130 below a transfer point of an input shaft 20 of a waste input device 14, for example as in the Fig. 1a to 1f. A transfer of garbage bags can, for example, be carried out according to the same pattern as with the pipe system, with an extension that the carriage or even in multiple arrangements (carriage column) can follow a curve of the rail 174. The function of passing the garbage bags to the next carriage is retained and, at the same time, a tight curve can be negotiated without the carriages interfering with each other when turning. This can be achieved by raising the support element 100 in the front area (see example Fig. 11c) and the front carriage can swing out freely at the bottom. This concept also allows for a column of carriages of any size to be realized if required.
[0116] The garbage bag is then transferred to a garbage collection station 12 with a distribution station or garbage sorting device and is moved to a corresponding garbage container (garbage can) 188 and the garbage bag is placed into the garbage container via a corresponding garbage dispensing device (see Fig. 11d).
[0117] To ensure this design can be operated regardless of the weather, a roof or complete enclosure of rail 174 or the entire rail transport system along the entire track is advantageous. This allows the system to be operated even during heavy snowfall, for example.
[0118] Fig. 12 shows, by way of example, a waste collection station 12 with waste containers 188 (e.g., garbage cans) for waste separation in a system for the automatic collection of domestic waste in a waste collection station outside a building for subsequent transport to disposal. In this example, the waste containers 188 each have a lid 190 on their respective top side, wherein the lid 190 has an opening 192 with, in this example, closing elements 194 that can be folded on both sides. This serves to enable smooth transfer of waste bags into the waste containers. Thanks to the additional opening, the waste containers can in principle be approached from all sides. The closing elements 194, which can be folded on both sides, expose the center of the lid 190 during their outward movement. Thus, a waste bag can fall into the waste container 188 without resistance. In the advantageously open state, the closing elements 194 protrude upwards, allowing maximum utilization of the waste container's filling volume. The lid 190 is preferably designed to extend upwards to achieve greater volume capacity.
[0119] When closed, the locking elements seal tightly, preventing moisture from penetrating the trash container during rain or similar events. Otherwise, the lid (main lid) 190 can be used as usual.
[0120] This concept of an additional opening can also be used for large garbage bins or underground containers, for example. Furthermore, it can be used on both flat and sloped surfaces.
[0121] As one of several conceivable alternatives, the opening can also be realized with, for example, two folding closing elements (flaps) that close towards the middle and, when opened, offer the possibility of inserting a letter.
[0122] The Fig. 13a to 13c show a waste collection station 12 with waste containers 196 and details of the waste containers of a system for the automatic collection of domestic waste in a waste collection station outside a building for its subsequent transport for disposal according to another particular embodiment of the present invention. The waste containers 196 are essentially like conventional garbage cans with a container 198 open at the top and a lid 200 pivotally mounted on the upper edge of the container 198 for closing and opening the same. In order to be able to empty the waste containers 196 completely independently for subsequent disposal of their contents, the waste containers are each placed individually on a platform trolley 202, which can be moved in a controlled manner on a rail (guide rail) 204.By means of the platform trolley, each garbage container 196, when it needs to be emptied, can travel individually with the aid of the associated platform trolley 202 any distance to a collection point, where a garbage truck then picks up and empties the garbage container 196. The path is defined by a rail (guide rail) 204 installed at ground level. The platform trolley 202 can be controlled by an appropriate control system so that it only travels to a collection point during a time window in which a garbage truck will also arrive at the collection point. This way, the time a garbage container spends on streets and paths can be kept to a minimum. For control, for example, a signal can come either via NFC from the cab of a garbage truck or, for example, the control can be coordinated or synchronized via an app so that a garbage truck and a garbage container meet at the collection point at the same time.
[0123] After the garbage container 196 has been emptied and unloaded onto the platform trolley 202, the platform trolley 202 preferably immediately returns to its starting position in the garbage collection station 12.
[0124] Since the waste container 196 is not permanently attached to the platform trolley 202, it can be removed manually from the platform trolley 202 as needed and used as usual, even when completely full. After use, the waste container can be placed back on the platform trolley 202.
[0125] The Fig. 14a to 14c show details of a platform trolley 202 for garbage containers and details of the garbage containers of a system for the automatic collection of domestic waste in a waste collection station outside a building for its subsequent transport to disposal according to another particular embodiment of the present invention. The platform trolley comprises a base frame 206 that supports the load of the garbage container, in this example, front drive wheels 208, in this example, smaller rear support wheels 210, a drive unit 212, fixed positioning and guiding lugs 214, and a movable centering, guiding, and clamping bracket 216. The base frame 206 is held at a certain height by the wheels and has no contact with the ground or the rail (guide rail) 204, preferably encased in concrete 218, so that the rail can be integrated into paved paths or the like.
[0126] Guide elements 220 are attached to the underside of the base frame 206 in order to guide the platform carriage 202 along a predetermined route.
[0127] In the front area, the positioning and guide tabs 214 are firmly connected to the base frame 206 and aligned approximately vertically, so that these surfaces fit tightly against a waste container. In the upper area, the positioning and guide tabs 214 are bent to increase the guide area and guide the waste container when it is unloaded onto the platform trolley 202 after emptying.
[0128] Matching waste containers 196 have a circumferential apron 222 on the bottom (see Fig. 14c) with a protrusion of, for example, approximately 20 millimeters. Towards the rear, the area is free, i.e., without a skirt. The skirt 222 initially makes contact with the positioning and guide tabs 214, and when lowered, the waste container 196 is guided downwards until the skirt 222 rests on the base frame 206 and is located between the positioning and guide tab 214 and a fixing piece 224 (see Fig. 14a). Thus, the degree of freedom in the direction of travel is blocked.
[0129] On the right and left sides are the pivoting centering, guiding, and clamping brackets 216. They protrude outwards when there is no load. This allows the centering, guiding, and clamping brackets 216 to open wide, making it easier to position the waste container during unloading. The centering, guiding, and clamping brackets 216 are locked outwards. This forces the waste container to align itself centrally with increasing downward movement until the apron 222 hits the base of the centering, guiding, and clamping bracket 216. Due to the external pivot point, the centering, guiding, and clamping bracket 216 rotates inwards, and the waste container's own weight centers, aligns, and clamps the waste container. As soon as the waste container is lifted, it is released and can be removed (see, for example, Fig. 15d, which shows the process of lifting a garbage container by a garbage truck).
[0130] If the waste container 196 is to be removed manually from the platform trolley 202, it must be tilted backwards until the wheels of the waste container are in contact with the ground (see Fig. 15a and Fig. 15b). The waste container rotates around a rear cross connection. When the waste container no longer has contact with the platform trolley, it can be pulled backwards over the rear wheels of the platform trolley 202 (see Fig. 15c).
[0131] Loading the platform trolley 202 is done in reverse order. The positioning of the small rear wheels behind the cross connection prevents the platform trolley from tipping during manual loading and unloading of the waste container.
[0132] Both the positioning and guide tabs 214 as well as the centering, guide and clamping brackets 216 can be connected to each other with a flat element, such as a sheet metal, along the entire height, following the bending profile of the brackets or tabs (see also Fig. 14b). This creates a flat guide, allowing the brackets to move simultaneously, and ensures symmetrical clamping (right and left sides) of the waste container when placed on the platform trolley. Thus, this guide can be viewed as a kind of funnel-shaped, movable design, with adjustable wall angles according to the movement of the brackets, even from all sides if necessary.
[0133] These flat guide walls can be used as an extension for a platform trolley instead of individual brackets. Alternatively, this system can be installed at a fixed location with a fixed frame if precise positioning of the waste container is required, for example, with an upstream distribution station or waste sorting device and a conveyor system as described. In this way, a garbage truck can pick up the waste containers (garbage cans) directly from a permanent location (without the mobile platform trolley), if conditions permit, and deposit them there again. Each waste container can either have its own positioning hopper or brackets with which a waste container can be secured in a controlled manner during unloading.
[0134] Finally, the Fig. 16a to 16c show a vertical waste discharge chute (elevator shaft) 226 of a conveyor device 16 of a system for the automatic collection of domestic waste in a waste collection station outside a building for its subsequent transport for disposal according to a particular embodiment of the present invention, as well as its use. The waste discharge chute 226 comprises a housing 228 for isolating it from the surroundings and for guiding movable units located therein, in this case a brake downpipe 230, which can be moved vertically by means of a motor (not shown) with cable winches (not shown). The waste discharge chute 226 is installed on an exterior wall (not shown) of a building (not shown) or in an interior at a suitable location so that a waste input device 14, for example as described above, can be connected to it.A garbage bag (not shown) is fed through an input compartment into an input chute 20 of the garbage input device 14. The garbage bag falls into the braking downpipe 230, which moves to its position just below the input chute 20, preferably as soon as a signal to collect a garbage bag is sent to a servo motor (not shown).
[0135] The brake downpipe 230 is then lowered by the motor and cable winches, and the garbage bag is transferred to another station, such as a trolley. Further transport (conveying) can take place both above and below ground, for example, using the previously described conveying devices.
[0136] If necessary, multiple brake downpipes can be connected in series to increase the garbage bag capacity. After a garbage bag has been transferred to a brake downpipe below, an overlying brake downpipe, either in a single or multiple formation, moves upwards for the next collection. This reduces the cycle time for garbage bag collection.
[0137] The brake downpipe can, for example, be designed as described above.
[0138] A distribution station or waste sorting device is typically used to overcome height differences, e.g., when transferring garbage bags to a waste container, and / or to dispose of garbage bags according to their contents into the designated waste containers, e.g., after the garbage bag has been fed to the distribution station by a conveyor system. It can be similar to a wall conveyor system, for example, but with the difference that the distribution station or waste sorting device is preferably installed at ground level and is also suitable for a central collection point.
[0139] The Fig. The distribution station or waste sorting device shown in Figures 17a to 17c and 18 comprises, for example, a rail guide 232 that is fixedly mounted on the base, with a moving unit 234 on a rail of the rail guide 232. In this example, the moving unit 234 comprises a base frame 236 with four rollers 238 that are in contact with the rail of the rail guide 232. Advantageously, the rollers 238 have a concave or convex shape at the contact points with the rail.
[0140] Depending on the rail geometry, the design can be round or square, for example, so that a form-fitting connection is ensured. Due to the geometry of the rollers that engage with the rail of the rail guide 232, the degrees of freedom in the vertical direction are blocked, so that the travel unit 234 can only move along the rail. This means that the entire structure is secured against tipping forwards / backwards and to the side. In this example, the movement along the rail is effected by means of a motor 239 with, for example, a belt or chain drive. This makes it possible to move to a selected garbage container (garbage can) 240, for example, with precise center positioning and to transfer a garbage bag.
[0141] For vertical lifting of the garbage bag, a mast 242 is provided in this example, which in this example comprises a vertically aligned tube, preferably a square tube, on which a moving device 243, for example a vertical trolley (or more generally a device that can be moved along a vertical component), can perform an up and down movement. The "vertical trolley" in this example comprises a frame 244. In addition, in this example, rollers 246 are arranged on all sides, mirror-symmetrically to the mast 242, at the top and bottom of each side, which grip the tube from all sides and thus center it and guide it along the tube. The axes of the rollers 246 also simultaneously form connecting elements for the frame 244. In this example, a laterally projecting arm 248 is provided on the "vertical trolley", which in this example is firmly connected to the vertical trolley.A support element 250 with a slider 252 is attached to this arm 248. In this example, height adjustment is performed electrically by a motor 254, which drives a chain or belt 256, to which the vertical trolley is connected.
[0142] In order to increase the garbage bag holding capacity at larger central collection points at the distribution station or garbage sorting device, several carrying elements 250 with sliders 252 can be used, for example, if the feeding of garbage bags or garbage bags is to take place from the right and left (see e.g. Fig. 8c), may be appropriate.
[0143] Furthermore, it can be provided that the support element 250 with slider 252 is rotatably mounted on the arm 248 in order to pivot the support element 250 with slider 252 in the horizontal plane by e.g. 180° if necessary.
[0144] The function of the distribution station or waste sorting device can be used for ordinary garbage bins, for large waste containers as well as for containers at a central collection point.
[0145] The provisions of the Fig. The distribution station or waste sorting device described in Figures 17a to 17c and 18 can be provided alternatively or in addition to the distribution stations described above. Furthermore, it can be combined as desired with any of the previously described embodiments.
[0146] The features of the invention disclosed in the above description, in the drawings and in the claims may be essential both individually and in any combination for the realization of the invention in its various embodiments.
