Sorption device and separation system for separating CO↓2↓ from the air, and a method for separating CO↓2↓ from the air

Abstract

The invention relates to a sorption device for separating CO2 from the air, comprising at least the following components: - a plurality of sorbent receptacles for one sorbent; - an air supply and air discharge for flowing air over the sorbent held in the receptacle; - a number of pressure vessels corresponding to the number of sorbent receptacles for vacuum-tight enclosure of the sorbent held in the receptacle; and - a vacuum extraction system for removing air and CO2 from the at least one pressure vessel. The sorption device is characterized in particular by the fact that the sorbent receptacles are arranged on at least one rotary disk and are movable about its axis of rotation. With the sorption device and method proposed here, CO2 can be separated from the atmosphere very economically.
