Abstract
The invention relates to a method for separating CO2 from ambient air (1) using a motor vehicle (2), in which the ambient air (1) is passed through a filter medium (3) for CO2 adsorption. A key feature of the invention is that: - the filter medium (3) is integrated into a cooling circuit (4) and is periodically flushed with coolant at a predetermined temperature, whereby the CO2 adsorbed in the filter medium (3) is bound in the coolant and the coolant is periodically replaced; or - the filter medium (3) is integrated into a cooling circuit and is periodically flushed with coolant at a predetermined temperature, wherein the CO2 adsorbed in the filter medium (3) is bound in the coolant and periodically removed from the coolant by means of a chemical process.
