METHOD FOR ORGANIZING FILE STORAGE BASED ON SEMANTIC SEARCH HISTORY

Abstract

A storage device organizes data across different storage media based on access history and user behavior to accelerate data retrieval. The storage device includes a primary storage medium and a secondary storage medium for storing the data. The secondary storage medium can be accessed more quickly than the primary storage medium. A controller on the storage device performs an initial data retrieval to identify hot blocks in the primary storage medium based on access history. The controller also performs a secondary data retrieval to identify hot blocks in the primary storage medium based on a semantic search.The controller can pre-retrieve the hot blocks from the first storage medium, temporarily store the pre-retrieved hot blocks in the second storage medium, and / or move the hot blocks from a slower storage medium to a faster storage medium.
