Abstract

A vehicle (1) is described, comprising an engine mount (2) extending in the longitudinal direction (X) of the vehicle and an axle carrier (3) of a front axle (4), which is connected to the engine mount (2) via a connecting unit (5). The connecting unit (5) includes a sleeve (6) which is arranged in a receptacle (8) of the engine mount (2) and is bonded to the engine mount (2). An actuating element (11) is arranged in the longitudinal direction (X) of the vehicle upstream of the sleeve (6), the crash area (12) of which faces the sleeve (6).During a frontal collision, the actuator (11) can be moved in the longitudinal direction (X) of the vehicle from a rest position, in which the functional connection between the crash area (12) of the actuator (11) and the sleeve (6) is severed, to an active position in the direction of the sleeve (6), in which the actuator (11) with its crash area (12) is functionally connected to the sleeve (6) and the actuator (11) applies crash energy to the sleeve (6). Above a threshold crash energy, the actuator (11) at least partially releases the material bond between the motor mount (2) and the sleeve (6).
