For example, a control device may comprise a processor, a central processing unit (CPU), a microchip, a logic circuit, an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC), memory, etc. A control device may manipulate and / or control other components in the system (e.g., in the vehicle).

[0020] The following section refers in detail to numerous examples of the present disclosure, which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings and described below.

[0021] As described above, a front trunk (also called a frunk, derived from the English words "front" and "trunk") refers to an interior space in the front of a vehicle. The front trunk can serve a storage function, but it can also accommodate additional uses. Due to its location and height, the front trunk can be more convenient for storage and such additional functions than a (rear) trunk. For example, a vehicle air conditioning filter can be changed through the front trunk, or the front trunk can be used as a seat while camping, parking, maneuvering, going to the movies, etc. However, the number of cases in which vehicles are illegally / unsafely modified to utilize the front trunk for desired purposes and unmet needs is increasing, as is the number of resulting safety incidents. For example, a fire can be caused by the ad-hoc / amateur installation of a heating system.

[0022] Accordingly, the present disclosure provides a storage system which makes it possible to safely use a front trunk for multiple purposes in order to increase the marketability, functionality and user comfort of a vehicle.

[0023] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 1, a vehicle V can have a front trunk (or frunk) FR. The front trunk FR can be located at the front of the vehicle V. In particular, the front trunk FR can be located in a space beneath the hood of the vehicle V. In one example, the vehicle V can be an electric vehicle. However, the vehicle V can also be any other type of vehicle that has a front trunk FR. The vehicle can include passenger cars, commercial vehicles, trucks, buses, motorcycles, and / or bicycles.

[0024] A storage system 1 according to an example in the present disclosure can utilize the front trunk FR of the vehicle V. As in the Fig. 2 and Fig. As shown in Figure 3, the stowage system 1 enables the use of the front trunk FR for multiple purposes through the associated operation of a docking station 10 and a container 20. In one example, the docking station 10 can be located in the front trunk FR of vehicle V. The container 20 can be positioned so that it can be inserted into either the front trunk FR or the docking station 10. The container 20 can be detachable from the docking station 10.

[0025] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 4, the docking station 10 can be configured to supply the container 20 with power or energy (e.g., current and voltage) when the container is docked. The docking station 10 can also be configured to enable the container 20 to communicate (e.g., electronically, wirelessly, wired, etc.) with the vehicle V. In one example, the docking station 10 can have a docking power supply (e.g., docking power supply) 102. The docking power supply 102 can be configured to supply power or energy provided by the vehicle V to a destination (e.g., the container 20 and / or one or more devices within the container 20) that is electrically connected to the docking power supply 102. As a non-restrictive example, the docking power supply 102 can be connected to a power source (e.g., an auxiliary battery, a main battery, or another power source, etc.) of the vehicle V.In one example, the docking power supply 102 can enable communication between the vehicle V and the destination (e.g., the container 20 and / or one or more devices in the container 20), which is electrically connected to the docking power supply 102. In another example, the docking power supply 102 can be configured to have at least eight pins, which are used taking into account an operating signal.

[0026] Container 20 can be detachably or removablely arranged on docking station 10. Container 20 can be electrically connected to the docking power supply 102 of docking station 10 (e.g., by docking at docking station 10). As shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 5, the container 20 can, in one example, have a docking power connection 202. If the container 20 is arranged at / in the docking station 20, the docking power connection 202 can be electrically connected to the docking power supply 102.

[0027] For example, container 20 can have an external power connection 204. Container 20 can be configured to be connected to an external power source via a power line in order to receive power or energy even when container 20 is not placed on docking station 10.

[0028] The container 20 can be openable and / or closable. For example, the container 20 can have a lid 206 and a holder (e.g., a socket, a base) 208. The lid 206 can be designed to rotate relative to the holder 208 (e.g., be hinged to the holder). For example, the lid 206 can be connected to the holder 208 via a joint (e.g., a hinge) 210. Alternatively, or in addition, the lid 206 can be detachable or separable from the holder 208.

[0029] The container 20 can have a handle 212 (e.g. as in Fig. (2 shown). In one example, the handle 212 can be provided on the lid 206. The handle 212 can facilitate the transport of the container 20. In particular, the handle 212 can be designed to facilitate the insertion and / or removal of the container 20 into or out of the front trunk FR. The handle 212 can be provided in a form that protrudes (e.g., by retracting, sliding, or folding) (e.g., by rotation, as in the example shown), or can be designed in numerous other known forms. The handle can be configured to retract flush with the lid and / or fold away when not in use in order to utilize space more efficiently.

[0030] The container 20 can have a display device 214 (e.g., a user interface and / or a touchscreen display). In one example, the display device 214 can be located on the lid 206. The display device 214 is configured to allow verification of the operating status of the storage system 1 and the input of an operating operation. In one example, the display device 214 can perform a notification function to indicate the operating status of the container 20. In another example, the display device 214 can have an operating button configured to manipulate / control the operation of the container 20. The display device 214 can be configured to indicate whether the container 20 is receiving power. The power supply can be selected using the display device 214.The display unit 214 can be configured to control the operation of the components contained in container 20 and / or to indicate the components and / or to indicate the current operation of the components (e.g., without having to open container 20). As a non-restrictive example, the display unit 214 can be touch-sensitive. Additionally or alternatively, the display unit / interface can be provided separately from the container (e.g., as part of another interface / display unit in the vehicle, so that user input for controlling the stowage system 1 can be made from inside the vehicle and / or via another interface, e.g., via a telephone, remote control, etc.).A display device 214 is described herein as being provided on the container 20, but a person skilled in the art will understand that similar functions can also be provided by a separate display device and / or an interface. Additionally or alternatively, another interface besides the display device, or in addition to a display device, may be provided (e.g., an audio interface, a tactile interface, etc.).

[0031] The display device 214 (and / or interface) can be connected to and / or include one or more control devices (e.g., a control unit, a control device, etc.). The one or more control devices can be implemented as a processor and memory. The term "processor" is to be interpreted broadly and includes a general-purpose processor, a central processing unit (CPU), a microprocessor, a digital signal processor (DSP), a microcontroller, a state machine, or the like. In some environments, the "processor" may refer to an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC), a programmable logic device (PLD), a field-programmable gate array (FPGA), and the like.

[0032] As in Fig. 6 and Fig. As shown in Figure 7, the container 20 can have a heating mat (also called a heating pad or heating plate). The heating mat 30 can be attached to the bottom surface and / or the side wall of the container 20. The heating mat 30 can be configured to heat the interior of the container 20.

[0033] The heating mat 30 can be electrically connected to the docking power connector 202 and / or the external power connector 204 for operation. For example, the heating mat 30 can have a heating wire 302. The heating wire 302 can be configured to receive power and generate heat.

[0034] Referring to Fig. 8. The container 20 may have a (e.g., inlet and / or outlet) vent 216. In one example, the vent 216 may be provided in the lid 206. The vent 216 may allow air exchange between the outside and the inside of the container 20. As a non-restrictive example, the vent 216 may have a grille or a comb-like (e.g., lamellar) shape. In another example, the vent 216 may be closable to control the air exchange between the outside and the inside of the container 20.

[0035] As in the Fig. 6 and Fig. As shown in Figure 9, the container 20 can have a blower 40. In one example, the blower 40 can be mounted in the vent 216. The blower 40 can be configured to force air from inside the container 20 to the outside through the vent 216. The blower 40 can be electrically connected to the docking power connector 202 and / or the external power connector 204. The blower 40 is configured to receive power and rotate to generate an airflow. Additionally or alternatively, the blower 40 can be configured to draw air from outside the container 20 into the container 20 through the vent 216.

[0036] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 10, the container 20 can have a cooling module 50 (e.g., a heat exchanger, a cooling device, a thermoelectric cooler, etc.). The cooling module 50 can be configured to lower the temperature in the container 20. In one example, the cooling module 50 can be operated based on the supplied power. The cooling module 50 can be electrically connected to the docking power port 202 and / or the external power port 204 to obtain power or energy (e.g., current and voltage).

[0037] As in Fig. 11 and Fig. As shown in Figure 12, the cooling module 50 can, in one example, comprise a housing 502 and one or more Peltier elements 504. The one or more Peltier elements 504 can be arranged in the housing 502. The one or more Peltier elements 504 can be configured / oriented / positioned to supply cold air A1 into the container 20 and warm air A2 to the outside of the container 20 by means of the Peltier effect. As shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 13, the cold surface on one side of the Peltier element 504 can be configured to cool the air A1, and the cold air A1 can be supplied to the interior of the container 20 by the rotation of a fan or the like. As shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 14, the hot surface on the other side of the Peltier element 504 can be configured to heat air A2, and the warm air A2 can be expelled by the rotation of a fan or the like.

[0038] As in Fig. 15 and Fig. As shown in Figure 16, the container 20 can have one or more holes 218. The warm air A2 from the Peltier element 504 can be discharged to the outside through the one or more holes 218. In addition, the cold air A1 can be introduced into the container 20 through an opening in the housing 502.

[0039] Referring to Fig. 17. The container 20 can have a (e.g., viewing) window 220. In one example, the window 220 can be formed in the holder 208 (e.g., to allow viewing through a side wall of the holder 208). A mesh 60 can be arranged in the window 220. The mesh 60 ensures visibility between the inside and outside of the container 20.

[0040] As in Fig. 18 and Fig. As shown in Figure 19, the container 20 can have one or more partitions (e.g., dividers or partition plates) 70. The partition 70 can be arranged at a predetermined position on the holder 208. The partition 70 can divide the space of the container 20 so that a large number of items 800 can be arranged or a clear arrangement is possible. In one example, the holder 208 can be provided with one or more projections 208a. The partition 70 can be arranged on the projection 208a. Although only one projection 208a is shown in the example, a plurality of projections 208a can be formed along the holder 208.

[0041] According to an example in the present disclosure, the container 20 can have one or more light-emitting diodes (LEDs) 80 (see Fig. 27 and Fig. 28). The LEDs 80 can be arranged in the container 20. The LEDs 80 can perform a lighting function, illuminating the interior of the container 20. The LEDs 80 can be electrically connected to the docking power connector 202 and / or the external power connector 204 to obtain power. As a non-restrictive example, the LEDs 80 can be surface-mounted LEDs (e.g., LED strips).

[0042] According to the present disclosure, the storage system 1 can include the docking station 10 and the docking power connection 202 of the container 20, so that a user can utilize the front trunk RF to perform a desired function depending on the situation and purpose. The storage system 1 can diversify the functions of the front trunk FR by means of the docking station 10 and the container 20 with at least some of the components described above. In particular, the storage system 1 can include a combination of at least one of the heating mat 30, the fan 40, the cooling module 50, the mesh 60, the partition 70, or the LEDs 80 to realize a desired function.

[0043] According to an example from the present revelation, as in the Fig. 20, Fig. 21 to Fig. As shown in Figure 22, storage system 1 is set up to function as a styler (e.g., as a fashion storage system).

[0044] The storage system 1, which is designed to perform the styling function, can include at least one of the blower 40 or the heating mat 30. Items 800, such as shoes and / or towels, which are stored in the container 20, can be dried and / or deodorized by the blower 40 and the heating mat 30.

[0045] The storage system 1, which is designed to perform the styling function, can include the divider 70. The divider 70 can be positioned on the projection 208a formed on the holder 208, and the items 800 can be placed on the base of the holder 208 and on each divider 70. This allows a large number of items 800 to be arranged in the container 20 and facilitates their arrangement. In the example shown, the shoes are arranged on the first shelf, which is the base of the holder 208, and the towels are arranged on the second shelf, above the divider 70. A heating mat 30 can be additionally or alternatively arranged on the divider 70. The heating mat(s) 30 can facilitate the drying of the items 800 placed on each surface.

[0046] The power (e.g., the energy supply) for the storage system 1, which is configured to perform the styling function, can be supplied by the vehicle V via the docking power connection 202. For example, the power (e.g., the energy supply) of the storage system 1 can be switched off when the vehicle is parked. Depending on the user's selection, the power (e.g., the energy supply) of the storage system 1 can be switched on (e.g., again) via a power supply button on the display unit 214, so that the storage system 1 can be operated (e.g., even when the vehicle is switched off). The display unit 214 can be equipped with a control button that can control the airflow of the blower 40 and / or is configured to adjust the airflow (e.g., depending on the user's selection / input). The display unit 214 can be equipped with a control button for adjusting the temperature of the heating mat 30. The heating temperature can also be set additionally or alternatively, depending on the user's selection. For example, the container 20 can receive power from an external power supply via the external power connection 204 to perform the styling function.

[0047] According to another example from the present revelation, as in the Fig. 23, Fig. 24 to Fig. As shown in Figure 25, storage system 1 is configured to function as a refrigerator. In situations requiring outdoor cooking, such as camping, car camping, food trucks, or refrigerated transport vehicles, a cooling function is essential. Additionally, cooling can be necessary or useful in vehicles used for leisure activities, shopping, and so on. However, space constraints can make it difficult to install a refrigerator within the limited interior of a vehicle. Since the front storage compartment (FR) is located under the hood, this space constraint is mitigated, and the noise and / or heat generated during operation of the cooling function is less likely to cause problems. Storage system 1 can be positioned at the front of the vehicle, allowing for easy access.

[0048] The storage system 1, which is designed to perform the cooling function, can include the cooling module 50. Items 800 that require cooling, such as fresh water and beverages, food requiring refrigeration, etc., can be placed in the container 20. When the container 20 is docked to the docking station 10 and is powered on, the cooling module 50 can be operated. Operating the cooling module 50 allows cold air to be supplied to the interior of the container 20 and warm air to be expelled to the exterior of the container 20.

[0049] The power (e.g., the energy supply) of the storage system 1, which is configured to perform the cooling function, can be supplied by the vehicle V via the docking power connection 202. For example, the power (e.g., the energy supply) of the storage system 1 can be switched off when the vehicle is parked. The power to the storage system 1 can be switched back on via the power supply button of the display unit 214 (e.g., depending on a user selection / input), so that the storage system 1 can be operated. The display unit 214 can be equipped with a control button with which the temperature of the cooling module 50 can be set, and is configured to set the temperature of the cooling module 50 depending on the user's selection.

[0050] According to an example from the present revelation, as in Fig. 26, Fig. 27, Fig. 28, Fig. 29 to Fig. As shown in Figure 30, storage system 1 can be configured to function as a pet cage. If / when the vehicle is moved / used for activities involving a pet, storage system 1 can function as a pet cage. This storage system 1 can provide the pet with comfortable and safe transportation.

[0051] The storage system 1, which is designed to function as a pet cage, can include the fan 40, the cooling module 50, and the heating mat 30, as shown in Fig. Figure 26 illustrates this. When / if the container 20 is docked to the docking station 10, the fan 40, the cooling module 50, and the heating mat 30 can be activated. Operating the fan 40 circulates the air inside the container 20, creating a comfortable environment.
