AI Technical Summary
Existing coaxial loudspeakers require significant installation space due to separate magnetic assemblies connected by separate elements, and this limits the reduction of the distance between air gaps.
A yoke is integrated with voice coils, magnets, and pole plates of electrodynamic sound transducers, forming air gaps between the yoke and pole plates, allowing direct connection and reinforcement of magnetic fields, reducing the number of components and installation space.
The solution reduces the required installation space and distance between air gaps, while also minimizing the number of components, and enhances magnetic field reinforcement.

Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a magnet assembly, in particular for a coaxial loudspeaker, which has at least two electrodynamic sound transducers, each with an air gap, which are arranged coaxially to each other.
[0002] Such magnetic assemblies are known from use. Typically, two separate magnetic assemblies are used for coaxial loudspeakers, wherein the magnetic assemblies, in particular an inner magnetic assembly and an outer magnetic assembly, are connected to each other by means of a separate connecting element, for example a housing, bolt, or the like.
[0003] The invention is based on the objective of creating a magnetic assembly of the type mentioned above that requires less space.
[0004] According to the invention, a yoke is provided on which voice coils, magnets and pole plates of the, preferably electrodynamic, sound transducers are arranged, and the air gap of at least one of the two sound transducers is formed between the yoke and the pole plate of the respective sound transducer.
[0005] Thanks to the invention, the required installation space for the magnet assembly, and thus for a coaxial loudspeaker, can be reduced. In particular, the distance between the air gaps in the axial direction can be reduced. Furthermore, the number of components required to manufacture the magnet assembly can be reduced.
[0006] In one embodiment of the invention, a single component of the magnet assembly forms one boundary of each of the two air gaps.
[0007] In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the air gaps of the two sound transducers are formed between the yoke and the respective pole plate.
[0008] In a further embodiment of the invention, a single component forms the yoke of one of the sound transducers and the pole plate of another of the sound transducers.
[0009] This creates the possibility of directly connecting the two magnet assemblies. Furthermore, the two magnet assemblies can be arranged in such a way that their magnetic fields reinforce each other.
[0010] Advantageously, one of the sound transducers forms an outer sound transducer and another of the sound transducers forms an inner sound transducer, wherein an air gap and / or a voice coil of the outer sound transducer has a larger circumference than that of the inner sound transducer(s).
[0011] Preferably, the air gap of the outer transducer is formed between the yoke and the outer pole plate. In one embodiment of the invention, the magnets of the transducers are arranged offset from one another in the axial direction of the yoke. Advantageously, the pole plates of the transducers are also arranged offset from one another in the axial direction of the yoke.
[0012] Advantageously, the majority of the magnetic flux of the outer or inner air gap does not pass through either the inner or outer air gap or the magnets of the inner or outer magnetic circuit.
[0013] In a further embodiment of the invention, the yoke is arranged at least partially within at least one of the magnets and / or one of the pole plates.
[0014] In one embodiment of the invention, the yoke has at least one, preferably at least two, steps and preferably one of the magnets is arranged on and / or above at least one, preferably on and / or above each, of the steps, wherein preferably at least one of the magnets has a cavity within which a section of the yoke is arranged.
[0015] Advantageously, the yoke has at least one, preferably at least two, steps and preferably a pole plate is arranged above at least one of the steps, wherein preferably at least one of the pole plates has a cavity within which a section of the yoke is arranged.
[0016] In one embodiment of the invention, the yoke has a central recess and one of the magnets and preferably one of the pole plates is arranged within the recess.
[0017] Advantageously, the magnets of the outer and those of the inner transducer have a cavity within which a section of the yoke is arranged.
[0018] In one embodiment of the invention, the yoke of the outer and the yoke of the inner transducer each have a recess within which the magnet and preferably the pole plate of the respective transducer is arranged.
[0019] In one embodiment of the invention, the magnet of the outer sound transducer has a cavity within which a section of the yoke is arranged, and the yoke of the inner sound transducer has a recess, preferably arranged centrally, within which the magnet and preferably the pole plate of the inner magnet is arranged.
[0020] Advantageously, the magnet of the inner transducer has a cavity within which a section of the yoke is arranged, and the yoke of the inner transducer has a central recess within which the magnet and preferably the pole plate of the inner magnet is arranged.
[0021] The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to exemplary embodiments and the accompanying drawings relating to the exemplary embodiment. Fig. Figures 1 to 12 show the magnetic assemblies according to the invention in different views.
[0022] Fig. Figure 1 shows an exploded view of a magnet assembly 1 according to the invention, comprising a yoke 10, a first magnet 20, a second magnet 30, a first pole plate 40, a second pole plate 50, a first voice coil 60, and a second voice coil 70. The magnets 20 and 30 are magnetized in the same axial direction. The first magnet 20, the first pole plate 40, and the first voice coil 60 form a first transducer, which is arranged further outwards in the radial direction than a second transducer formed by the second magnet 30, the second pole plate 50, and the second voice coil 70.
[0023] Fig. 2 shows a sectional view and Fig. 3 a detailed view of the area labelled “A” of the Fig. 2.
[0024] The yoke 10 comprises a base part 11, a middle part 12, and an end part 13 projecting from the middle part. The base part 11, the middle part 12, and the end part 13 have a circular cylindrical shape and are arranged coaxially with each other. It is conceivable that these parts could alternatively have a non-circular cross-section, but rather an elliptical shape or the shape of a polygon, in particular a rectangle, preferably a square. It is understood that the magnets 20, 30, the pole plates 40, 50, and the voice coil 60, 70 would then be provided in suitable shapes.
[0025] Furthermore, it would be conceivable that the base part 11, the middle part 12 and the end part 13 are not arranged coaxially, but offset from each other.
[0026] The middle part 12 extends from the base part 11 along an axial direction and the end part 13 extends away from the middle part 12 along the axial direction.
[0027] The first ring-shaped magnet 20 is arranged on the base part 11. The first ring-shaped pole plate 40 is arranged on the magnet 20. The central part 12 of the yoke 10 is arranged within the first magnet 20 and the first pole plate 40.
[0028] Between the first pole plate 40 and the middle part 12, a first air gap 100 is formed in a radial direction, in which the first voice coil 60 is arranged.
[0029] On the central section 12, the second, also ring-shaped, magnet 30 is arranged axially above the first pole plate 40, and the second ring-shaped pole plate 50 is mounted on this magnet. The projecting end section 13 of the yoke 10 is located within the second magnet 30 and the second pole plate 50. Between the second pole plate 50 and the end section 13, a second air gap 200 is formed in the radial direction, in which the second voice coil 70 is arranged.
[0030] Fig. Figure 4 shows the magnetic field profile during operation of the magnet assembly 1. It shows that a portion of the magnetic flux passing through the first air gap 100 also passes through the second air gap 200, thus increasing the magnetic flux in the second air gap 200. The removal of a portion of the magnetic flux passing through the first air gap 100 slightly reduces the magnetic resistance, which further increases the magnetic flux in the first air gap 100.
[0031] Another magnet assembly 1a according to the invention Fig. 5 to 7 differs from the one after the Fig. 1 - 4 by the fact that an end part 13a of a yoke 10a, which forms a second air gap 200a with a second pole plate 50a, is designed as a hollow cylinder and a second magnet 30a and a second pole plate 50a are arranged inside the end part 13a.
[0032] Another magnet assembly 1b according to the invention, which is located in the Fig. The one shown from 8 to 10 differs from those shown after the Fig. 1 - 7 in particular by the fact that the end part 13, 13a is replaced by a cylindrical section 41 projecting from a first pole plate 40b. A yoke 10b is also provided with a wooden cylindrical section 14 projecting outwards from a base part 11b, which extends from the base part 11b along an axial direction. The wooden cylindrical section 14 is arranged at a radial distance from a central part 12b and, together with a first pole plate 40b, forms a first air gap 100b. This embodiment shows a similar effect of mutually reinforcing magnetic fields as the embodiment according to the Fig. 1 to 4.
[0033] Fig. Figures 11 to 13 show a further magnetic assembly 1c according to the invention, which differs from that according to the Fig.9 - 11, in particular, in that a projecting cylindrical section 41c of a first pole plate 40c, which forms a second air gap 200c with a second pole plate 50c, is designed as a hollow cylinder. A second magnet 30c and a second pole plate 50c are located within the projecting cylindrical section 41c.
[0034] The magnet assemblies 1,1a,1b,1c are suitable for use in a coaxial loudspeaker.
