The invention relates to a dog raincoat for wearing by a dog. Devices exist to protect dogs from rain, etc. One problem is that these devices are not needed at all times, meaning they must be transportable and readily available when necessary to protect the dog. Various methods for temporarily storing such a device are known in the prior art. For example, DE 10 2020 003 579 A1 discloses a foldable protective cover that can be placed in a bag. This bag, in turn, is part of a correspondingly equipped dog collar and can be closed after the folded protective cover has been placed inside. In this case, a specific dog collar with the bag integrated into the collar is required. A similar system is known from GB 2513293 A, which again reveals a dog collar that includes a container in which a waterproof jacket for dogs can be stored. Both revelations therefore require a custom-made dog collar and rain cover, whereby the dog collar must be designed to accommodate a rain cover and the rain cover must be designed in such a way that it can be stored inside the dog collar. The problem to be solved by the invention is therefore to provide protection for a dog that is less expensive and requires fewer special devices. This problem is solved by a dog raincoat as described below. The claimed solution to the problem is given in claim 1. The dog raincoat according to the invention is foldable. This is achieved, according to the invention, by folding the dog raincoat.
