Device with a decorative frame (5) for a cooking appliance (1), wherein the decorative frame (5) is made of stainless steel and is connected to a separate tub (6) by means of a connection (7) and wherein the decorative frame (5) extends in its outer edge region (5a) without any material forming or bending and thus extends horizontally with its upper surface, characterized in that the decorative frame (5) is thicker in an outer edge region (5a) than in an inner region (5b) adjoining the outer edge region (5a), wherein - the thickening formed in the outer edge region (5a) is formed by attaching a material part to the underside (5c) of a base frame of the decorative frame (5) or - the decorative frame (5) is formed from a single part.
