Abstract
Description
Technical field of the invention
[0001] The present invention relates to a connection system that enables disassembly of the seat, arm and back modules by allowing tool-free installation in a modular sofa.
[0002] In particular, the invention relates to a connection system and a cargo-shippable modular sofa customizable by tool-less assembly, which enables the provision of single, double, triple and corner sofa modules separable into different sections by means of a side-by-side connection system and a sliding connection system. State of the art
[0003] Nowadays, portable and modular everyday objects used in confined and narrow spaces are a preference for many users, as such objects create efficient and effective use of space.
[0004] Many seat models with different functional properties are already manufactured and sold. Different mechanisms, devices, and products are used to ensure these functionalities. In this case, these are also different mechanisms that perform the same or similar functions. In some cases, the technical specifications of the mechanisms, such as connection and installation characteristics, may also be important.
[0005] US 2018 / 0 213 943 A1 discloses a modular sofa construction and a method for assembly. US 5,931,529 A discloses a device for securing independent parts of a modular seating arrangement. DE 600 18 984 T2 discloses a modular upholstered furniture structure.
[0006] The present invention ensures that installation is much simpler and more convenient. While similar mechanisms require welding for assembly, the product according to the invention does not require welding. The welding process is costly and time-consuming. The simple installation process also shortens the product's delivery time.
[0007] Thanks to the installation and connection system according to the invention, the sofa can be stored disassembled, shipped disassembled with freight and assembled quickly and without tools by the consumer.
[0008] This creates the need to develop a new technical solution that can eliminate all of these problems. Objects of the invention
[0009] Based on the prior art, the main object of the invention is to ensure, due to the disassembly feature, that the space occupied by the seat, arm and backrest modules is minimized when disassembled.
[0010] Another object of the invention is to make the parts of the sofa shippable by freight due to the disassembly feature, thus resulting in savings in shipping costs and realizing easy transportation.
[0011] A further object of the invention is to enable alternative sofa combinations by assembling different modules together. [0012] Fig.1 shows a perspective view of the side-by-side connector (10), the front connector (11) of the seat module, the rear connector (12) of the seat module, and the backrest module connector (13) of a seat module in an embodiment according to the invention. Although all three have the same connector, the two modules are connected to each other using the three connectors. The backrest module (40) engages with the seat module (30) via a connection system with slides between the back and seat modules (Hettich slides) (21). After the backrest module (40) is positioned, the right arm module (50) and the left arm module (60) are connected to the connection between the seat module (30) and the backrest module (40). This connection is made by means of a side-by-side connection system (10).According to the functional principle of the connection system, the pins (100) on one of the two adjacent modules are inserted into the holes of the other. After the pins (100) are fully inserted into the holes, the connection system is locked by sliding the locking lever (110) forward. After the right arm module (50), the left arm module (60), the backrest module (40), and the seat module (30) are locked together, the feet are screwed into the holes on the underside of the seat module (30).
[0013] This connection system consists of a male component (90) and a female component (80). The male component (90) includes at least two large holes at the locations where the rivets on the female component (80) are inserted, a sheet metal part with at least four small holes for screws, and a pin (100) welded to the sheet metal part. At the point where the pin (100) is welded to the sheet metal part, there is a 4.4 mm notch to ensure the locking function through the reciprocating movement of the locking lever.
[0014] The female component (80) comprises at least two large holes into which rivets can be inserted, a sheet metal element with at least four small holes for screws, and a locking lever (110) riveted to the sheet metal element. This locking lever (110) can move back and forth horizontally. There is a gap in the center of the lever. The wide section (11) in the center of this gap has width dimensions to allow the pin (100) to pass through easily. When the locking lever (110) is locked (pushed forward), the narrow section (112) of the gap coincides with the notch of the pin (100), and the two components, i.e. the female component (80) and the male component (90), are locked.
[0015] Transportable, adaptable modular sofa and connection system, which allows tool-free assembly and, due to its disassembly possibility, allows the formation of different sofa combinations by juxtaposing different modules, characterized in that it comprises a seat module (30) which forms the seat section of the assembled / dismantled sofa, a backrest module (40) which forms the assembled / dismantled backrest module, a right arm module (50) and a left arm module (60) which form an assembled / dismantled armrest module, and a side-by-side connection system (10) which allows the assembly of the seat module (30), the backrest module (40), the right arm module (50) and the left arm module (60) by locking by means of the pin (100) and the disassembly of these modules by a reverse movement.
[0016] Manufacturing method for a transportable, adaptable modular sofa that allows tool-free assembly and, due to its disassembly capability, allows the formation of various sofa combinations by juxtaposing different modules, characterized in that it comprises the steps of providing a seat module (30) that forms the seat section of the assembled / dismantled sofa, a backrest module (40), a right arm module (50), and a left arm module (60), inserting the backrest module (40) onto the seat module (30) by means of the slide connection system (20), connecting the modules by means of the side-by-side connection system (10), which is used after the back module (40) is inserted, and the right arm module (50) and the left arm module (60) come together at the seat and back connection part, and the pins (100) on one are inserted into the holes on the other, thus positioning the pin (100) in the hole,is locked by the locking lever (110), mounting the feet (70) on the underside of the seat module (30) after the right arm module (50), the left arm module (60), the backrest module (40) and the seat module (30) are locked together,
[0017] The provision of the side-by-side connection system (10) comprises the steps of forming at least 2 holes in which the rivets coincide with the female component (80) and the male component (90) (A), forming at least 4 holes on the female component (80) and the male component (90) for screwing in the rivets (B), welding the pin (100) to the sheet metal (C), riveting the locking lever (110) to the sheet metal (D), pushing in the locking lever (110) after the locking pin (100) is inserted into the hole on the female component (80) and locking the pin (100) by the narrow section (112) of the locking lever (110) where the diameter of the pin (100) becomes thinner (E) and / or locking the locking lever (110) when the locking lever (110) is in the open position is located (F).
[0018] There are feet (70) that are screwed into the holes under the seat module (30) after locking the right arm module (50), the left arm module (60), the backrest module (40) and the seat module (30).
[0019] The product according to the invention comprises at least one connection system with a slide (20) to which the backrest module (40) is attached to the seat module (30).
[0020] Forming the side-by-side connection system (10) in which the same connections are used for the front connection (11), the rear connection (12) and the backrest module connection (13) of the seat module, comprises a side-by-side connection system (10) made up of a female component (80) and a male component (90), in which, these parts perform functions in which the locking lever (110) is pushed after the locking pin (100) has been inserted into the hole on the female component (80), and in which the pin (100) passes through the narrow portion (112) of the hole on the locking lever (110) at the point where the diameter of the pin (100) becomes thinner (E), and in which the locking lever (110) is locked by sliding when the locking lever (110) is in the open position (F).
[0021] For the side-by-side connection system (10), which ensures the assembly / disassembly of the seat module (30), the backrest module (40), the right arm module (50) and the left arm module (60), at least two large holes for inserting the rivets are formed on the female component (80) and a sheet metal part, on which at least four small holes for screwing are located, and a locking lever welded to the sheet metal part, wherein the locking lever moves back and forth and there is a gap in the middle of the locking lever, the wide section (111) in the middle of this gap has wide dimensions so that the pin (100) can pass easily, the female component (80) and the male component (90) are formed,in which, when the locking lever (110) is locked (pushed forward), the narrow section (112) of the gap coincides with the notch of the pin (100) on the male component (90), thereby locking the system and dismantling it in the reverse order.
