Abstract

Actuator for use in a motor vehicle; an actuator housing; a brushless electric motor (2) with: a stator (4) comprising a plurality of teeth (6) and a concentrated winding (8) such that stator ventilation channels (10) are formed between the windings (8) of the teeth (6); and a rotor (12) having at least one fan wheel (14) which rotates together with the rotor (12) and has at least one fan blade (16) such that, during rotation of the rotor, it forces ambient air (20) through at least one stator ventilation channel (10) of the stator (4); and a gearbox (30) which is force-coupled to the radiator grille at an output side (AB) and to the electric motor (2) at an input side (AN);wherein the actuator housing (15) encloses the gearbox (30) and the electric motor (2) in such a fluid-tight manner that only air from the interior (22) of the actuator housing (15) forms the ambient air (20), which is forced through the at least one stator ventilation channel (10) of the stator (4).
