Abstract

The hollow elastic volleyball striking cap (5) has an opening (4) on its rear side. A piston-like elastic body (2), whose diameter is larger than the rear opening (4) of the striking cap, is pressed into this opening. This creates an elastic vacuum press connection between the impact cap (5) and the piston-like body (2), in the hollow interior (6) of which the cylindrical extension (7) of the flying part (1) is press-anchored by means of the annular groove (1) located at its end. To optimally reinforce the press-fit anchoring of the flight part ring groove (1) in the elastic piston-like body (2), a tightly stretched, aerodynamically designed rubber ring (3) is located on the outside of the elastic impact cap (5). This additional pressing pressure, which presses on the elastic impact cap (5) and also on the elastic piston-like body (2) which is vacuum press-anchored inside the elastic impact cap (5), also causes this ring-shaped pressure from the outside to act on the press-anchored ring groove (1) inside the piston-like body (2).

Description

[0001] The invention relates to a novel volleyball tennis ball, consisting of a striking cap and a flying part, which is inseparably connected to the striking cap, in particular in the interior of the striking cap of the volleyball tennis ball, by means of a novel elastic press and press vacuum anchoring.

Claims

[1] The hollow elastic volleyball tennis ball cap (5) is provided with an opening (4) on the back. A piston-like elastic body (2), whose diameter is larger than the rear opening (4) of the cap, is pressed into this opening. This creates an elastic vacuum press connection between the impact cap (5) and the piston-like body (2), in the hollow interior (6) of which the cylindrical extension (7) of the flying part (1) is press-anchored by means of the annular groove (1) located at its end. In order to optimally reinforce the press anchoring of the flying part ring groove (1) in the elastic piston-like body (2), a tightly tensioned, aerodynamically designed rubber ring (3) is located on the outside of the elastic impact cap (5). Due to this additional pressure, which presses on the elastic impact cap (5) and also on the elastic piston-like body (2) which is vacuum-press-anchored inside the elastic impact cap (5), this annular pressure from the outside also acts on the press-anchored annular groove (1) inside the piston-like body (2).
