Description

[0001] Standard parallel supports are made of hardened steel. The reference point for the workpiece support side (3) is the lower jaw of the vise or clamping device. To achieve the desired milling height, parallel supports of different heights are clamped starting from this reference point.

[0002] This has the disadvantage of initially creating instability due to multiple parts. Cleaning with compressed air is also time-consuming, as the individual parallel supports remain in one place due to a lack of adhesion. Furthermore, the hardened steel of the parallel supports causes the cutting tool to be damaged or destroyed upon contact.

[0003] These problems are solved by the features listed in claim 1.

[0004] The invention ensures that the reference point of the workpiece support side (3) is now the upper jaw side of the vice or clamping device. From this reference point, the parallel supports are graduated downwards in height according to the typical application range of machining technology.

[0005] They are securely and quickly attached to the jaw using the magnetic inserts (2) on the back (1). Cleaning the vise jaw with compressed air and emulsion is easy.

[0006] If the parallel support comes into contact with the tool, there's no risk of damage because the material used for the parallel support is softer than that of the tool. List of reference symbols 1 back 2 magnetic inserts 3 Workpiece support side

Claims

[1] Aluminium parallel supports with magnetic inserts for parallel placement of workpieces in vices and clamping devices at a defined height, characterized by that the reference point of the defined height of the workpiece support side (3) is the upper jaw side of the vice or clamping device, the back (1) is provided with magnetic inserts (2) for quick fastening and the product is made of high-alloy aluminum. [2] Claim for protection under point 1, characterized by that the minimum dimensions are 50x10x3 mm and the maximum dimensions are 200x100x20 mm (LxHxW).
