Description

1. PasswordThe current world situation clearly shows that both geopolitic dependencies and climate crisis force human beings to forego use of fossil energy. Not only in areas with a high infrastructure level is renewable substitute energy required in order to have a significant influence on climate conversion.2. Problem Description• Storage and transport of permanently generated energy presents a challenge.• There is no global invention which is not limited only to feasibility in well-established areas.• Onshore energy generation by wind turbines, photovoltaics, among others, impacts more and more large resistances in a political, technical and economical manner.• Without governmental intervention, decarbonization is chancenless.• Wind and sun will not be able to meet by far the increasing demand of the main consumers of energy by known means and transport paths.3. Approach• Decentral generation of energy outside of state areas.• Combination and merging of different power generation plants to increase the continuity of supply.• High economics with rapid amortization and thereby high attractiveness to capital investments.• Extreme compression of the generated energy to facilitate transport and availability.4. Challenges• Storage and transport of energy to the locations where the energy is needed. Classical cables and accumulators are not applicable• Other technical and administrative hurdles• The transport of energy in the form of hydrogen is technically problematic and uneconomical.30-40 % of the energy contained is lost due to the necessary cooling. Moreover, the operation is problematic to dangerous because of the easy flammability. In addition, there is a problem that hydrogen can be produced industrially only with pure water (no salt water). Thus, hydrogen comes into direct competition with drinking water. As is known, drinking water is a tight commodity.Ammonia as medium would be conceivable, but is likewise not a lasting solution because of its toxicity.5. Solution• Yield in areas where there are little or no people where wind, sun, sea flow, tidals, water temperature are more stable and available in the overflow. The generation of energy would be regulated at most by economic and technical outlay.• The power generation should be diversified so as not to rely on monopoleistic sources.• Use of non-governmental marine deserts remote from coasts near equator as well as sand deserts.6. Invention: InventionThe new one of this invention is a multidimensional floating ponton with interconnected different power generation and storage facilities. The energy island can be held stationary in sea deserts by means of its own drives via cables, but also without ground anchoring. The giant energy island, optionally consisting of many flexible segments, likewise serves as a storage surface of large energy stores, which are regularly replaced by exhausted energy stores. Of course, the power island has a highly effective, demand-based ship feeder. The energy obtained in a wide variety of ways from sunlight, wind, water temperature, sea flow, tidals, etc. is used on the one hand for its own energy supply, but on the other hand is predominantly stored in high-temperature storage devices and the like and is kept ready for transporting large vessels specially designed for this purpose. The energy amounts stored in such an intensive manner can be used flexibly on the entire earth ball.Energy islands distributed over the entire globe secure the persistent energy supply of the world population and make it independent of fossil energy carriers. The energy island can moreover be used for CO2 storage by means of algae circulation and for research purposes. The invention is arbitrarily scalable, so that the still strongly growing world population is also taken into account.ExplanationsAt suitable locations with constant and high energy supply, such as, for example, on the sea or in the (coastal) weel, electric current or heat is generated with available energy sources, such as, for example, solar energy, wind energy, sea flow, wave movement, large heat pumps and geothermal energy.Energy sources not yet known or studied today can also be used later, since the following concept is open for this. With the generated energy, heat accumulators are heated in a manner according to the invention.Up to now, these stores have been used only in a stationary manner for buffering peaks on a small scale. The new approach here is to use the heat store for energy transport in large quantities and dimensions and to make it mobile. These heat accumulators are extremely insulated and, for example, are located on a ship. Since ships can take up large masses, the store can take up large dimensions and thus take up large amounts of energy. For example, heat and cold storage in salts and refrigerants can store the energy.Stratified charge storage devices could keep the unusable energy low.A further possibility is, for example, lavage stones or liquefied metals.Modules that can be removed are also theoretically conceivable. However, the dimensions are then very limited. These ships then travel to the coasts of the places of consumption or to places of further processing. (Similar to today, the tankers are only more harmless)The propulsion of the ships can be effected by solar energy, wind or partial removal of the stored heat.Heat is a non-dangerous storage medium and can be used in a versatile manner. In the coastal area, for example, power plants can then be installed which convert the thermal energy back into electrical energy, for example via heat exchangers and turbines. It is likewise conceivable to use the heat directly as process heat for technical devices such as furnaces or for chemical processes. The residual heat can then also be fed, for example, into a district heating network for heating the living space. The ship thus discharged then returns to the energy consumption. If it is ensured that the connection systems are standardized, energy from all sources can be used and converted by each power plant. In a further embodiment of the invention, it is also conceivable to install the conversion systems such as turbines and compressors on board the ships. Then, the energy is supplied in the form of electric current and also discharged with electric current and residual heat.Economic and Market Economic OptionsEnergy trading and diversification are also possible with this, since the systems are not monolithically constructed. Energy generators, energy dealers and energy users can work together according to market-related methodsTheoretically, small heat accumulators could also be transported on the land route. The possible capacitances are then naturally not lower and are probably not economically implementable.Technical OptionsThe current now available and the thermal energy can now also be used, for example, to generate e-fuels and other liquid or gaseous energy carriers and thus to achieve wide portions of energy consumers.Energy consumers such as aircraft and ships can thus also be supplied with renewable energy, which cannot be electrified or can only be electrified with great difficulty.7. Advantages of the Invention• The energy generated at geographical and political locations is made transportable.• The efficiencies of PV plants and wind power plants are substantially more efficient in a corresponding environment than in central europe. As a result, the transport losses are related.• Political dependencies are greatly reduced because the suppliers are interchangeable.• The energy generation can be effected according to market economic aspects.• Countries which today depend economically strongly on fossil energy have an alternative business model and thus an incentive to dispense with fossil energy.• The current generated by wind energy, solar current or sea current (so-called flutter current) can be used for grid stabilization by conversion into heat and by reverse conversion in classic power plants into basic-load-capable current. (Nuclear power plants, gas power plants and coal power plants are then no longer required to this extent for stabilization and for shadow storage)• The urban areas of the world are only minimally impacted by the effects of energy generation.• The concept is usable worldwide in this or similar form and not only for sophisticated companies.• The technical concepts used are tested and do not pose high risks in industrial scale use.• Existing power plants could be further used by the adaptation during the steam generation.• The high temperature storage must be specially adapted to the necessary dimensions.• The efficiencies of the respective generation steps, transport steps and conversion steps are easily increased with the progress of the technology and the advancement of the individual systems, as the individual components remain compatible. For example, if a better storage system is found, the power generation and reconversion thereof remains unaffected.• Generation of energy at locations in the world which are well suited to the supply of energy, but cannot be used technically and economically with the transport possibilities currently existing. These are, for example, the world seas away from the coastal regions and deserts in the area close to the coast.• Use of geothermal energy for charging the heat accumulators.• Use of large heat pumps to obtain energy from the sea, for example.• Riskless transport and storage of the energy in the form of heat in large highly insulated mobile heat accumulators.• Reconversion of energy in the vicinity of the consumers by means of conventional power plants, for example with steam turbines on site or on board the ship.• Use of the power plants for generating a grid-stabilizing base load.• Further use of suitable conventional power plants. (In this stable grid, local energy generators can additionally feed in)• Use of the residual heat which can no longer be used economically for the power plants for heating homes in the district heating network.• Direct use of the heat in process plants without further conversion into other forms of energy.• Construction and use of a thermal energy market using market management rules.• Production of synthetic fuels, for example in coastal regions or on islands close to the production facilities for use of internal combustion engines with renewable energies. At this point, attention is again drawn to the fact that there is enough energy and the efficiency of the energy generation and transport only influences the required amount of technical equipment for harvesting.Facilities: Sketches (Examples)1) Recovery of energy on the sea with wind, solar and heat from the sea by heat pumps. 2) Energy generation on land with wind, solar and geothermal heat via heat pumps. 3) Utilization of thermal energy by direct application for industrial processes, power generation and heating purposes. 4 ) Exemplary illustration of an energy islandList of reference numbers (sheet 4)1 Floating body 2 Solar plant 3 Wind plant 4 Sea flow plant 5 Heat pumps, turbines, generators 6 Storage tanks 7 Chemical plants 8 Jet rudder 9 Anchoring 10 Tanker terminal 11 Optional pipeline 12 Cleaning plants
