Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to an attachment for conventional roof tiles when using green roof systems, in particular for green roof tiles, and serves to ensure the transport of water into the green roof insert.
[0002] So-called green roof tiles are increasingly being used to green pitched roofs. These usually follow the contours and design of conventional roof tiles and feature a planter box that accommodates the vegetation base.
[0003] The planter box used is already filled with a substrate and a layer of vegetation before being installed on the roof surface.
[0004] The well-known add-on planting system for greening sloping roof surfaces meets the desired requirements.
[0005] However, in the case of heavy rainfall and a low roof pitch of less than 30 degrees, as well as in the case of a large area without vegetation above the applied green roof layer, a lot of water can accumulate behind the top, last green roof tile.
[0006] Advantageously, the upper end wall of the planter has various holes. These holes normally ensure that the water drains into the interior of the planter.
[0007] However, if a very large amount of water occurs, for example, due to heavy rainfall, these holes in the planter box of the green roof tile, also known as water inlet holes, cannot absorb the water quickly enough. The water then accumulates behind the planter box and can flow into the sub-roof via the overlap of the upper tiles or by overloading the side interlocking or gutter.
[0008] Such water ingress into the sub-roof structure is undesirable and can lead to major damage to the roof structure or to the apartment.
[0009] The present invention is therefore based on the object of providing a component which always reliably introduces water into the planting box of the green roof tiles, regardless of the roof pitch and the arrangement of green and non-green areas on the roof.
[0010] According to the invention, this object is achieved with the features of claim 1.
[0011] The invention provides a component for ensuring the water inflow into the planting box of the uppermost green roof tile, which component is preferably designed as an add-on component on the conventional and unplanted tile behind the last, uppermost green roof tile.
[0012] The add-on component is preferably designed as a ramp cover and follows the contour of the conventional tile above and below in the upper area of the cover and then rises in the lower component area in such a way that the final lower surface rests on or rests on the planting box of the corresponding green roof tile below.
[0013] In a further embodiment, the ramp and the underlying conventional pan are formed in one piece.
[0014] The area of the ramp cover is closed on the sides and, to protect against wind uplift, the ramp cover is preferably attached to the conventional, unplanted pan at the top and bottom using a hook or a backing.
[0015] The ramp cover is made from a single piece of plastic, using UV- and weather-resistant materials to ensure a long service life. It is installed over conventional roof tiles or roof shingles.
[0016] Other embodiments and developments of the invention are specified in the remaining claims. Embodiments of the invention are illustrated in the drawings and described in detail below. They show: Fig. 1 the ramp cover uninstalled as a single part in different views Fig. 2 the installation and function of the ramp cover List of reference symbols 1 ramp cover 2 Area of coverage 3 Ramp 4 Laterally closed flanks 5 Hooking / fastening to the conventional pan 6 Green pan 7 Planter 8 Conventional pan 9 Support battens 10 Cover area
Claims
[1] Ramp cover (1) for placing on conventional roof tiles (8) behind or above roof greening tiles (6) to ensure the water inflow into the planter box (7). [2] Ramp cover (1) according to claim 1, characterized by that the ramp cover (1) is placed on the conventional roof tile (8) following its contour and is fastened to the conventional tile at the top by a hook (5) and at the bottom preferably by clipping. [3] Ramp cover (1) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized by that the ramp cover (1) has a surface section which follows the contour of the underlying conventional roof tile and that by means of this overlapping area (2) the ramp cover (1) is fastened by clamping by covering the overlying conventional roof tile (8). [4] Ramp cover (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized bythat in the lower area a clamping, screwing, clipping or other type of mechanical fastening to the conventional roof tile (8) underneath is preferably provided. [5] Ramp cover (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by that the ramp surface (3) ends on the planter (7) and beyond.
