Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a storage device for barriers, each of which has two vertical posts, each forming a pin projecting upwards and downwards at the upper and lower ends.
[0002] Barriers are used to close off traffic routes and secure construction sites. An example of a barrier with the above-mentioned features is described in EP 1 388 612 B1.
[0003] The object of the invention is to provide a device with which several such barriers can be combined and stored in a space-saving manner in one container.
[0004] This object is achieved according to the invention by a device which is characterized by: - a lower part in the form of a rail, which has at least one row of plug-in receptacles for the downwardly projecting pins in a predetermined grid, and - an upper part in the form of a rail which has at least one row of plug-in receptacles for the upwardly projecting pins in the same grid.
[0005] If several barriers are to be combined into a single package, the downwardly projecting pins at one end of the barriers are inserted into the sockets of a lower section, and the downwardly projecting pins at the other end of the barriers are inserted into the sockets of a lower section of another storage device. The barriers then stand upright in the two lower sections and are arranged parallel to each other with small gaps - corresponding to the hole spacing of the sockets. The upper sections of the two storage devices are then plugged, with their downward-facing sockets, onto the upwardly projecting pins at the opposite ends of the barriers. This ensures that the barriers are locked together in a way that prevents them from tipping over, and the resulting, relatively compact package of barriers can be easily set up on a substantially flat surface.
[0006] Advantageous embodiments are specified in the subclaims.
[0007] Optionally, the plug-in receptacles in the lower section can be designed so that the lower section is held frictionally against the pins of the barriers when the barriers are raised. This allows the container to be lifted and transported, for example, with a forklift.
[0008] In one embodiment, the underside of the upper part and the upper side of the lower part have complementary reliefs. When multiple containers of barriers are stacked, the reliefs on the upper parts of the lower container and the lower parts of the upper container interlock, allowing the containers to be stacked securely.
[0009] Optionally, the upper parts and / or the lower parts can also have complementary reliefs on their end surfaces so that the containers remain positively aligned with one another when several containers are lined up next to one another.
[0010] In the following, examples of implementation are explained in more detail using the drawing.
[0011] They show: Fig. 1 a view of a stack of containers of barriers; Fig. 2 a lower part of a storage device for the barriers in plan view; and Fig. 3 an upper part of the storage device in a view from below.
[0012] In Fig. 1 shows two stacked containers of barriers 10, which are held together by means of storage devices 12, 14. The barriers 10 of each container are arranged in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the drawing in Fig. 1 in a row, so that only the first barrier is visible.
[0013] In the example shown, the barriers 10 are blow-molded hollow bodies made of plastic, each having two vertical posts 16 and a barrier leaf 18 connecting these posts. Optionally, the posts 16 can each accommodate a metal reinforcement tube. The lower end of the reinforcement tube protrudes downward from the blow-molded body and thus forms a downwardly projecting pin 20, which, when the barrier is in use, engages in a slot in a base plate (not shown), so that the barrier can be held in an upright position by means of two base plates. The barrier leaf 18 has a series of vertically upwardly projecting pins 22, 24 at its upper edge, onto which construction site lights can be attached when the barrier is in use. The pins 24 at the opposite ends of the barrier extend the posts 16 upward.
[0014] Each storage device comprises a lower part 12 and a separate upper part 14. Each lower part 12 comprises a number of upwardly opening receptacles 26 which are inserted into the Fig. 1, are arranged in a regular grid in a row perpendicular to the plane of the drawing. On the underside, each lower part 12 has a concave relief 28.
[0015] In the Fig. 1 lower container of barriers 10, the lower parts 12 of two storage devices rest on a flat base 30, and the pins 20 of the barriers are inserted into the plug-in receptacles 26. Since the strip-shaped lower parts 12 have a certain extension in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the barrier leaves 18, the barriers are held in an upright position. The corresponding upper parts 14 of the two storage devices also each have a row of plug-in receptacles 32, which are arranged in the same grid as the plug-in receptacles 26 in the lower parts. In the lower container in Fig. 1, the upper parts 14 are attached to the pins 24 of the barriers. This connects the upright posts 16 at each end of the container to form a rigid, tilt-resistant frame.
[0016] On the upper side, each upper part 14 has a convex relief 34. In the Fig. 1 upper container, the lower parts 12 rest on the upper parts 14 of the storage devices for the lower container, so that the reliefs 28 and 34 interlock and hold the containers in a mutually aligned position. In this way, the reliefs 28, 34 of the storage devices form a stacking aid that enables secure stacking of the containers.
[0017] In Fig. Figure 2 shows a plan view of a lower part 12 of a storage device according to another embodiment. In this example, the lower part 12 is a rail in the form of a hollow plastic body having two rows of spaced-apart plug-in receptacles 26. The plug-in receptacles are connected to one another by webs 36.
[0018] The lower part 12 is open at the top, but has a closed bottom, which forms the concave relief 28. In the example shown, this relief 28 consists of a groove 38 running longitudinally on the underside of the bottom and a groove 40 running transversely thereto in the middle of the lower part. On the upper side of the bottom, the grooves 38, 40 form raised structures, the edges of which, in plan view, Fig. 2 can be seen.
[0019] Fig.3 shows the corresponding upper part 14 in a view from below. The upper part 14 is a rail in the form of a hollow plastic body that is open at the bottom and closed at the top. The downwardly open plug-in receptacles 32 are arranged in the same grid as the plug-in receptacles 26 of the lower part 12, but have a larger diameter because the pins 24 of the barriers have a larger diameter than the pins 20 at the lower ends of the posts. The walls of the plug-in receptacles 32 are therefore in direct contact with one another and with the walls of the hollow body. On the upper side, the upper part 14 forms the relief 34 complementary to the relief 28 with a web 42 running in the longitudinal direction and a web 44 running transversely thereto. The engagement of the webs 42, 44 in the grooves 38, 40 achieves a positive connection in both the longitudinal and transverse directions of the lower and upper parts. On one of its end faces, the upper part 14 has a notch 46 that complements a lug 48 projecting from the opposite end face. When several containers of barriers are lined up in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the barrier leaves, the lugs 48 of the upper parts of one container engage the notches 46 of the upper parts of the adjacent container, so that the containers are held together in a positive-locking manner in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the upper parts.
