Description

FIELD OF APPLICATIONThe present application relates to the technical field of batteries, specifically, to a battery pack box and a battery pack.PRIOR ARTAs the demand for power supply is increasing, a plurality of batteries are generally combined to increase power supply efficiency, and thereby power is supplied using a battery pack. After prolonged use of the battery cells, the temperature rises, not only impairing the power supply efficiency of the battery cells, but also causing the risk of explosion at too high a pressure due to the generation of a pressurized gas inside the batteries. Therefore, by providing an explosion protection valve on the individual battery cell, it is achieved that, in the case of too high a pressure within the respective battery, gas which results from a thermal runaway breaks through the respective explosion protection valve, whereby pressure relief and protection of the interior of the battery are achieved.A battery pack represents a closed environment. In addition to a plurality of battery cells connected to one another, an electrical module for management is also provided therein. If, at too high a pressure within one of the battery cells, gas resulting from the thermal runaway breaks through the respective explosion protection valve, then the gas resulting from the thermal runaway flows around in the battery pack, thereby damaging other battery cells and the electrical module for management.SUMMARYAccording to a first aspect, an embodiment of the present application provides a battery pack box including:a bottom protection panel comprising an upper panel, a lower panel and a plurality of connecting protrusions, the plurality of connecting protrusions being spacedly disposed between the upper panel and the lower panel to form a pressure relief cavity between the upper panel and the lower panel, the upper panel for supporting a plurality of batteries and being provided with pressure relief holes uniquely associated with explosion protection valves on the individual batteries, the pressure relief holes communicating with the pressure relief cavity;a box housing, wherein the bottom protection plate is connected to one side of the box housing, and a buffer cavity communicating with the pressure relief cavity is provided inside the box housing;at least one pressure relief valve disposed on the box housing and in communication with the buffer cavity;an upper lid plate connected to the other side of the case case and cooperating with the bottom protection plate to form a receiving cavity for receiving the plurality of batteries.According to a second aspect, an embodiment of the present application provides a battery pack including the above-described battery pack box.The present application provides a battery pack box. By providing a plurality of connecting protrusions between the upper plate and the lower plate, the pressure relief cavity communicating with the pressure relief holes in the upper plate is formed between the upper plate and the lower plate. By providing the box housing with the buffer cavity communicating with the pressure relief cavity and providing the box housing with at least one pressure relief valve communicating with the buffer cavity, gas resulting from the thermal runaway enters the respective battery after the respective explosion protection valve is broken sequentially into the pressure relief cavity and the buffer cavity via the pressure relief holes, and is finally discharged via the pressure relief valve connected to the box housing. Thus, on the one hand, pressurized gas can be released from the battery and, on the other hand, the pressure release path for gas resulting from the thermal runaway is defined to prevent the gas resulting from the thermal runaway from flowing around and damage to internal components caused thereby, and thus achieve good protection capability and high safety. The present application further provides a battery pack that controls gas resulting from the thermal runaway by using the above-described battery pack box to avoid damage to the components inside the battery pack due to impact by gas resulting from the thermal runaway, thus enhancing protection for internal components of the battery pack and thus extending the life of the battery pack.SPECIFICATION OF THE APPLICATIONFIG. 1 is a structural view of the battery pack according to the present application in disassembled state; FIG. 2 is a sectional view of the battery pack according to the present application; FIG. 3 is an exploded structural view of the bottom protection plate in the battery pack case according to the present application; FIG. 4 is a structural view of the upper plate constituting the bottom protection plate in the battery pack case according to the present application; FIG. 5 is a structural view of the bottom plate constituting the bottom protection plate in the battery pack case according to the present application; FIG. 6 is a schematic structural view of the top cover plate in the battery pack case according to the present application; FIG. 7 is a schematic structural view of the mounting bracket in the battery pack case according to the present application; FIG. 8 is a sectional view taken along the line A--A of FIG. 7.Reference Number:100.
