Abstract
Description
Technical Field:This invention relates to electrical installation technology, and more particularly to systems for optically cladding outlet frames by magnetically attached cover plates.Technical Problem:Conventional socket systems are usually made up of visible socket frames and visible socket inserts. Functional requirements are met, but frequently considered to be annoying from a design standpoint. Especially in design-oriented interior designs, there is a desire to optically hide these sockets without intervening in the electrical installation or impairing the functionality.Solution of the Invention:The invention comprises a two-part system consisting of: 1. socket frames (obtained as white goods):A standardized, commercially available frame for sockets or switches of single to multiple design (1 to 4 times), as is used in the field of flush-mounted electrical installation. The frame can be obtained as a white label or OEM product and be further distributed under its own mark.2. Rear magnetizable cover plate:A cover which is manufactured by the applicant and can be removed and placed flat and which contains magnets or magnetizable elements on the rear side. These are connected to counterparts (magnets) fastened on the rear side of the frame by magnetic attraction. In the assembled state, the cover completely covers the socket frame and thus ensures a homogeneous, rectilinear appearance. The cover can be removed without tools to allow access to the underlying socket inserts.Embodiments for Multiframes:The cover can be realized in different embodiments, depending on the number of underlying sockets or switches.A 1-compartment outlet frame typically employs a single cover. In a 2-compartment frame, a continuous, two-part cover or two separate cover plates can optionally be used next to one another. In a 3-fold frame, three individual cover plates are provided in the preferred embodiment, which are arranged next to one another. The protection of the invention extends both to covers of one-piece construction which simultaneously cover a plurality of frame fields and to systems having a plurality of individually magnetically adhering cover plates.Technical effect:The system enables:• Complete optical masking of the socket unit.• Tool-free fastening of the cover via magnets.• Reversible incorporation with commercially available components.• the flexible design (colour, material, print) of the visible area.• a clean wall closure situation without visible technology.• Automatic centering of the cover plate by a positioning ring on the rear side. The drawing shows various views of the magnetic cover system for cladding socket frames. FIG. 1 shows a lateral view of the cover plate (E) with magnets (A) arranged on the rear side and the raised centring ring (D) which engages in the central depression of the socket insert. FIG. 2 shows the socket frame (C) with inserted socket insert (B) in side view. The magnets (A) are positioned to allow adhesion to the counterparts on the cover plate. The magnets can be placed on the rear side of the frame, in the frame or in the socket insert. FIG. 3 shows a top view of the rear side of the cover (E), with magnets (A) and the centering ring (D) in the middle. The positioning of the magnets on the cover is determined by the positioning of the magnets in FIG. 2. FIG. 4 shows the front view of the socket insert (B) in the frame (C).The system enables complete optical coverage of the socket unit with simultaneously defined position fixing by the centering ring (D).Reference Number:A magnets B socket insert C socket frame D centering ring E cover list of reference symbols: A magnets B socket insert C socket frame D centering ring E cover
Claims
Utility model: System for covering switch and socket frames, comprising: a) a commercially available tin shell frame (white label frame), b) at least two magnets which are arranged in such a way that they enable magnetic adhesion between frame and cover plate, wherein the magnets are arranged either on the cover plate, on the frame or on both, c) a cover plate which is positioned completely over the frame by magnetic adhesion and covers it optically completely, wherein the cover plate can be removed without tools.Utility model: system according to claim 1, wherein the frame is a frame suitable for sockets, as is commercially available or can be manufactured by itself.Utility model: system according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the magnets consist of neodymium and are embedded or glued into the rear side of the cover plate.Utility model: system according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the cover plate consists of plastic, glass, wood or metal and has a planar front face.Utility model: system according to one of the preceding claims, wherein a visible shadow gap exists between the cover and the wall or alternatively the cover is designed so that it ends flush with the wall.Utility model: System according to one of the preceding claims, wherein a central positioning ring is attached to the rear side of the cover plate, which central positioning ring engages with an exact fit in the central depression of a standardized socket insert and enables a defined centering of the cover plate.
