Abstract
Description
Technical area:
[0001] The invention relates to the cosmetics industry and describes a cosmetic product containing encapsulated active ingredients. These active ingredients are released continuously over an extended period of time. The product utilizes open-pore microcapsules in dry powder or granule form, which have a high loading capacity and can be subsequently reloaded with active ingredients. State of the art:
[0002] Cosmetic products with active ingredient encapsulation are known from the state of the art. However, conventional microcapsules either release active ingredients too quickly or are technically difficult to process. Furthermore, there is often no way to refill the capsules with active ingredients after they have been emptied. Compatibility issues with certain classes of active ingredients, especially oil-containing or sensitive substances, are common. Object of the invention:
[0003] The aim is to provide a cosmetic product that meets the following requirements: ◯ High compatibility with various cosmetic active ingredients, ◯ easy incorporation into final cosmetic formulations, ◯ continuous and even release of active ingredients over a long period of time, ◯ Reusability of the microcapsules by reloading, ◯ as well as ecological and sustainable production. Solution:
[0004] This task is solved by a cosmetic product containing open-pore, dry microcapsules that absorb cosmetic active ingredients and release them evenly over extended periods. The special capillary structure enables controlled release in the gas phase without leakage of liquid active ingredients. The capsules are reloadable, can be produced in various particle sizes, are stable in cosmetic formulations, and are produced in an environmentally friendly manner. Advantages of the invention: ◯ Long-term release over days to weeks ◯ Intensive and even release of active ingredients, without initial peak ◯ Easy formulation into various cosmetic products ◯ Reloadability by external spraying or application ◯ High loading capacity with different drug classes ◯Dry, powdery form that is easy to process ◯ Sustainable materials and manufacturing processes ◯ Adjustable particle sizes for different applications
Claims
[1] Cosmetic product comprising microcapsules, ◯ which have an open-pore carrier material, ◯ which is loaded with at least one cosmetic active ingredient, ◯ where the active ingredient can be lipophilic, hydrophilic or amphiphilic, ◯and wherein the microcapsules are designed for continuous release of the active ingredient over a longer period of time. [2] Product according to claim 1, wherein the microcapsules are in the form of a dry powder or granules with particle sizes between 10 µm and 1500 µm. [3] Product according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the capsules are reloadable by external application of an active ingredient solution. [4] Product according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the open-pore carrier material causes active ingredient binding and release controlled by capillary forces. [5] Product according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the active ingredient is released over a period of several days to several weeks. [6] Product according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the microcapsules have an active ingredient loading of up to 50% by weight. [7] Product according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the active ingredient is selected from the group of cosmetically active substances comprising: - fragrances, - Vitamins, - Antioxidants, - plant extracts, - lipids, - peptides, - Retinoids, - UV filter, - pH-regulating substances, - preservatives, - anti-inflammatory or antibacterial agents. [8] Product according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the microcapsules are made of biodegradable or recyclable material. [9] Product according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the cosmetic product comprises a formulation selected from: lotion, cream, gel, fluid, foam, spray, serum, stick, ampoule, mask or powder. [10] Product according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the microcapsules contain one or more stabilizers which improve compatibility with oxidatively or hydrolytically unstable substances.
