Description

[0001] In standard electric fences, the lower (electrified) wire is located approximately 40 cm above the ground. The grass growing underneath can be easily grazed by the animals, ensuring the wire remains exposed and never short-circuits. However, in wolf-proof fences, the lower wire is positioned 16-20 cm above the ground. Because the current is also higher in wolf-proof fences, cattle or horses can no longer graze the grass below without receiving an electric shock. This causes the grass to grow uncontrollably, and in damp weather (morning dew), this can lead to a short circuit and thus the failure of the fence. A functioning wolf-proof fence is essential for the protection of the animals and to maintain insurance coverage.

[0002] Existing mobile mowing machines, due to their height, cannot reach far enough under the pasture fence or damage it, resulting in its failure.

[0004] The invention enables mowing beneath the low-lying lower wire of the wolf-proof fence, with the cut grass being thrown onto the paddock. In some cases, it is necessary to mow from inside or outside the paddock, throwing the grass towards the paddock to prevent a buildup of cut grass beneath the protective wire. This problem is solved by claim 2. The left- or right-side mounting of the cutting head allows mowing from either side. With conventional mowers, the cutting unit is centrally located directly below or in front of the machine. This limits or prevents mowing beneath fences or similar obstacles parallel to the direction of travel. This problem is resolved by claim 3.
