Abstract
Description
[0001] Polypropylene surface and rainwater collection shaft for street drains, with integrated light liquid separator and dirt / sludge trap, with liquid-tight inspection opening in the submerged wall for the drain pipe behind it to the existing drainage system / street sewer ( Fig. 1)
[0002] The collection shaft (1) and all other components are made of polypropylene. All components and pipe connections (2) are joined to the collection shaft (1) by means of a weld overlay (3) in accordance with the DVS guidelines for plastic welding.
[0003] The collection shaft (1) can be manufactured with various diameters from a polypropylene pipe (4) ranging from DN 500 to DN 2000. The collection shaft (1) is fitted with a base plate (5) with a thickness of s = 20 mm, which is welded to the polypropylene pipe (4) by means of a weld bead (3).
[0004] The collection shaft (1) has a height of 1500 mm. At a height of 1100 mm, a lateral polypropylene pipe connection (2) of DN150 or DN200 is welded in by means of a weld bead (3). The design of the pipe connection (2) is carried out according to the existing street sewer system.
[0005] In the collection chamber (1), a baffle wall (7) (10) (10a) is welded to the inner wall (4a) of the chamber at the level of the pipe connection (2) with a weld bead (3). The baffle wall (7) (10) (10a) has a circular opening (6) DN 150 or DN 200 which is sealed liquid-tight with a fully integrated V-shaped slide valve (7) and a gasoline- and mineral oil-resistant seal (8). The slide valve (7) has an opening at its upper end to serve as a handle (9) and can therefore be pulled by hand to allow inspection of the drain pipe (2) from the chamber side. The baffle wall (7) (10) (10a) is closed at the top with a 30° angled plate (10a) and welded to the collection chamber (1).
[0006] The baffle wall (7)(10) (10a) prevents oil, gasoline, etc., or leaves and other substances floating on the water from entering the sewer system, and allows sludge and dirt to settle at the bottom (11) of the collection shaft (1). The collection shaft (1) can be easily cleaned at any time by suction without having to remove any obstructing components within the collection shaft (1). Claims
[1] The integrated light liquid separator, as a submerged wall (7) (10) (10a), is welded into the collection shaft (1). The submerged wall (7) (10) (10a) has an inspection opening (6) which can be manually reopened using a specially designed V-shaped slide valve (7) with a mineral oil-resistant seal (8). The V-shaped design and clamping of the slide valve (7) are achieved by means of a detachable dovetail joint.
