[0001] The invention relates to a belt pulley according to claim 1.

[0002] Belt pulleys are used to hold the roller shutter belt in belt-driven roller shutters. Typically, such a belt pulley is fixed to the shaft that holds the shutter curtain. Conventional belt pulleys have a protruding, nose-like extension on their winding core, into which the end of the belt, equipped with a corresponding hole, is simply hooked. After prolonged use and due to material fatigue, this protruding section, made of plastic or thin sheet metal, often breaks off.
