Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a device for the corner connection of two hollow profiles of a swing gate leaf having an axial channel with a rectangular cross-section according to claim 1.
[0002] A "revolving gate" refers to a gate with a hinged leaf attached to a post or wall that can be pivoted around a vertical axis at a defined angle for opening or closing. Revolving gates are known as entrance doors or driveway gates, and can be designed with either a single or double leaf. Revolving gate systems with such revolving gate leaves are disclosed, for example, in DE 103 16 907 A1 or DE 2016 118 429 A1.
[0003] Swing gates of the above type typically have a frame made of hollow profiles with a rectangular cross-section, welded together end-to-end or mitered. A door panel, which can be made up of one or more panels, is inserted into the frame. The frame can be either closed or U-shaped.
[0004] A disadvantage of the existing swing gates is that the corner joints, especially the visually appealing mitred corner joints, are only moderately precise. Furthermore, the thermal joining process can cause the thin-walled hollow profile material to warp.
[0005] This is where the present invention comes in. The invention is based on the object of providing a device for the corner connection of two hollow profiles of a swing gate leaf, each having an axial channel with a rectangular cross-section, which enables the frame of a swing gate to be manufactured without the need for welding. According to the invention, this object is achieved by a device having the features of claim 1.
[0006] The invention provides a device for corner connection of two hollow profiles of a swing gate leaf, each having an axial channel with a rectangular cross-section, which enables the frame of a swing gate to be manufactured without the need for welding. Because the two legs of the angle part are formed from two parallel side parts that are connected to one another by an arrangement of connecting webs, preferably forming a lattice-like structure and giving the legs a cuboid shape, with appropriate dimensioning of the hollow profiles, a form-fitting sliding of the hollow profiles onto one leg of the angle part is possible, thereby achieving precise feeding of the two mitred hollow profiles. The preferably lattice-like structure of the legs achieves a significant weight reduction while simultaneously ensuring high stability of the angle part.Because each leg has at least two wall reinforcements on the inside of its inner side part, spaced apart between two connecting webs, each provided with a bore, particularly a threaded bore, this allows for precise screwing of the hollow profiles to the legs of the angle part, thus enabling a precise corner connection. The wall reinforcement in the area of the bore provides increased strength for absorbing forces and moments.
[0007] In a further development of the invention, each leg has at least two wall reinforcements on the inside of its outer side part, positioned at a distance from one another between two connecting webs, which are provided with a bore, in particular a threaded bore. This enables a stable screw connection for fastening a gate. While in the prior art, a gate hinge is fastened using screws screwed into the wall of the hollow profile, which is why the wall thickness of the hollow profile must be correspondingly thick to absorb the forces and moments to be absorbed, the device here serves as an abutment, via which the forces and moments introduced via a gate hinge are introduced into the hollow profile over a large area, which is why its wall thickness can be dimensioned smaller.
[0008] In a refinement of the invention, the wall reinforcements are essentially cuboid-shaped and positioned transversely against the outer side panel. This ensures a flat transmission of acting forces and moments into the side panels and, via these, into the connecting struts.
[0009] In a further embodiment of the invention, at least one leg has a first coupling section at its free end for connection to the second coupling section of an extension leg part. This allows an extension of a leg of the angle part by means of an extension leg part provided with a corresponding second coupling section. The first coupling section is preferably formed by a C-profile section.
[0010] In a further development of the invention, the two side parts of the angle part have sliding elements arranged at a distance from one another on their outer side opposite the connecting webs, which preferably extend transversely across the side walls. This reduces the friction surface against the inner wall of a hollow profile, thus facilitating the sliding of a hollow profile part.
[0011] It goes without saying that in order to create a stable corner connection, the external dimensions of the sliding elements correspond to the internal dimensions of the channel of the hollow profiles, which has a rectangular cross-section and is pushed onto the legs of the angle part.
[0012] In an embodiment of the invention, at least one cuboid-shaped extension leg part is provided, the maximum circumferential dimensions of which correspond to the maximum circumferential dimensions of the legs of the angle part and which has a second coupling section at one end, which cooperates with a first coupling section of the legs of the angle part. Preferably, the second coupling section comprises two parallel, spaced-apart, L-shaped, outwardly angled webs that can be inserted into a C-profile section. This enables a simple connection of the extension leg part to a leg of the angle part.
[0013] In a further embodiment of the invention, the extension leg part has a first coupling section at its end opposite the second coupling section, which cooperates with the second coupling section of another extension leg part and is preferably formed by a C-profile section. This enables an extension of one leg of the angle part with several interconnected extension leg parts.
[0014] In a further development of the invention, the cuboid-shaped extension leg section, like the angle section, is formed from two parallel side sections connected by connecting webs. The lattice-like arrangement of the connecting webs reduces the weight of the extension leg section while simultaneously ensuring maximum stability.
[0015] In an embodiment of the invention, at least two wall reinforcements are arranged on the inside of the side parts of the extension leg part, each spaced apart between two connecting webs, said wall reinforcements being provided with a bore, in particular a threaded bore. This enables the extension leg part to be screwed to the hollow profile receiving it on the inside. The bore, in particular a threaded bore, arranged on the opposite side part and guided through a wall reinforcement in each case, in turn enables a stable screw connection for attaching a gate hinge. For example, a swing gate can be equipped with three vertically spaced gate hinges, whereby for stable attachment of the middle gate hinge, the leg of an angle part adjacent to it can be extended via one or more extension leg parts.
[0016] In a further embodiment of the invention, sliding elements are provided on the outer sides of the side parts (32, 33) of the extension leg, arranged at a distance from one another and preferably extending transversely across the side walls. This, in turn, reduces the friction surface of the sliding elements against the inside of a hollow profile, making it easier to insert the extension leg into the hollow profile.
[0017] The invention further relates to a swing gate with a frame formed from hollow profiles arranged at a miter to one another and having an axial channel with a rectangular cross-section, with the features of claim 12.
[0018] In a further development of the invention, an extension leg part is connected to at least one leg of the angle part, which is connected to the hollow profile via screws, which are screwed into a wall reinforcement of the angle part on its inner side. Preferably, at least one gate hinge is arranged on one of the hollow profiles of the frame, which is fastened to the hollow profile with at least two screws, which are each screwed into the outer side part of the angle part in its wall reinforcement or the wall reinforcement of an extension leg part connected to it.In this way, the gate hinges are securely connected to the frame of the swing gate, with the legs of the angle part and existing extension leg parts serving as abutments for the screw connections of the gate hinges, via which forces and moments acting via the respective gate hinge can be introduced into the walls of the hollow profile over a large area.
[0019] In one embodiment of the invention, the hollow profiles have a longitudinal groove on their outside, on their inner side, which is shorter due to the miter, for inserting a door panel. This enables easy installation of a door panel consisting of one or more elements in the frame formed from the hollow profiles. The groove preferably extends over the entire length of the respective hollow profile, thereby forming a circumferential groove along the interconnected hollow profiles.
[0020] Further developments and refinements of the invention are specified in the remaining subclaims. An embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the drawings and described in detail below. They show: Fig. 1 the schematic representation of the frame of a swing gate leaf; Fig. 2 the representation of the frame from Fig. 1 a) In section A - A; b) In section B - B Fig. 3 the frame Fig. 1 with mounted gate hinges in partial section; Fig. 4 the detailed view of section C of the frame Fig. 3 in partial section; Fig. 5 the frame Fig. 3 in exploded view; Fig. 6 an enlarged view of section D in Fig. 5; Fig. 7 the schematic representation of an angle piece of the frame from Fig. 5; Fig. 8 an extension leg part of the frame made of Fig. 5 a) in spatial representation; b) in longitudinal section; Fig. 9 the schematic representation of an angle part with two extension leg parts in the side view.
[0021] The swing gate leaf 1 chosen as an exemplary embodiment essentially consists of four hollow profiles 2, which are connected to a rectangular frame via four angle pieces 3. In a longitudinally arranged hollow profile 2, the legs 31 of the angle pieces 3 arranged therein are each connected to an extension leg piece 4. Two spaced-apart gate hinges 5 are attached to the outside of this hollow profile 2.
[0022] The hollow profiles 2 forming the rectangular frame are made of aluminum hollow profiles through which a channel 21 with a rectangular cross-section runs longitudinally. On their inner side facing the respective opposite hollow profile 2, the hollow profiles 2 have a longitudinally extending groove 22 for receiving a door panel. Within the groove, at both ends of the hollow profiles 2, two spaced-apart first bores 23 are arranged for attaching an angle part 3. A longitudinally arranged hollow profile is provided at its two end sections on its side opposite the groove 22 with two spaced-apart second bores 24 for attaching a door hinge 4. The hollow profiles 2 are each mitered at an angle of 45 degrees at each end.
[0023] The angle parts 3 are made of aluminum and form two cuboid legs 31 set at right angles to one another. The angle parts 3 have two side parts 32, 33 set parallel to one another and connected to one another by an arrangement of connecting webs 34. In the area of each leg 31, two connecting webs 34 set orthogonally to the two side parts 32, 33 are arranged at a distance from one another, with an angularly set connecting web 34 between them. The inner side part 32 has two wall reinforcements 35 in each leg 31, through which a threaded hole 36 is led and which are each arranged between two connecting webs 34. In each case offset from the wall reinforcements 35, two further wall reinforcements 35 are arranged opposite the outer side part 33, through which a threaded hole 36 is led.The essentially cuboid-shaped wall reinforcements 35 are integrally formed on the two side parts 32, 33 and extend in the transverse direction of the respective side part 32, 33. On their outer sides facing away from the connecting webs 34, sliding elements 37 are arranged on the side parts 32, 33, spaced apart from one another in the transverse direction. These sliding elements are cuboid-shaped in the exemplary embodiment. At their free ends, the two legs 31 of the angle part each have a first coupling section 38, which in the exemplary embodiment is designed as a C-profile section.
[0024] The extension leg parts 4 are made of aluminum and have a cuboid shape. The extension leg parts 4 are formed from two side parts 41 arranged parallel and spaced from one another, which are connected to one another by an arrangement of connecting webs 42. In the exemplary embodiment, all connecting webs 42 are arranged parallel and spaced from one another, orthogonally to the two side parts 41. The two side parts 41 each have two opposite wall reinforcements 43, through which a threaded bore 44 is guided and which are each arranged between two connecting webs, where they extend in a cuboid shape in the transverse direction of the side parts 41. On their outer sides facing away from the connecting webs 34, sliding elements 45 are arranged on the side parts 41 of the extension leg parts 4, which sliding elements 45 extend spaced from one another in the transverse direction and are cuboid in the exemplary embodiment.
[0025] The extension leg part 4 has a first coupling section 34 at one end, which is designed to correspond to the first coupling section 38 of the angle part 3, in this case in the form of a C-profile section. At its end opposite the first coupling section 46, the extension leg part 4 has a second coupling section 47, which in the exemplary embodiment is formed from two webs 48 arranged parallel to one another and angled outwards in an L-shape, which can be inserted into the first coupling section 38 of the angle part 3, designed in the form of a C-profile section, as well as into the first coupling section of a further extension leg part, designed in the form of a C-profile section. The hollow profiles 2 are each pushed onto a leg 31 of an angle part at one end until the mitered edges of the hollow profiles 2 abut one another, wherein in one of the two longitudinally arranged hollow profiles 2, the legs 31 of the angle parts 3 arranged in this hollow profile 2 are each extended by an extension leg part 4. The first coupling sections 38 of the two angle parts 3 are each positively connected to the second coupling section 47 of the respective extension leg part 4. The four angle parts 3 and the two extension leg parts 4 are connected to the hollow profiles 2 via first screws 6, which are each screwed through the first bores 23 arranged on the inside of the hollow profiles 2 into the threaded bores 36, 44 of the angle parts 3 and the extension leg parts 4 facing them. The first screws 6 are virtually invisible in this position.
[0026] Two gate hinges 5 are fastened to the longitudinally arranged hollow profile 2 at a distance from one another via second screws 7, which are guided into the second bores 24 arranged for this purpose in this hollow profile and are screwed into the threaded bores 44 of the respectively associated extension leg part 4 (cf. Fig. 5).
[0027] The swing gate 1 according to the invention is manufactured entirely by means of plug-in and screw connections, in particular without welded joints. This allows for precise mitered corner joints. Furthermore, the arranged gate hinges 5 are reliably held in the angle pieces 3, which act as abutments and are extended by extension leg pieces 4 in this embodiment, even when subjected to greater forces and moments. Connecting the angle pieces 3 to one or more extension leg pieces 4 enables the secure fastening of gate hinges at different positions on the corresponding longitudinal hollow profile 2. Even with thinner wall thicknesses of the hollow profiles 2, there is no risk of bulging or even tearing out of fastening screws due to forces acting on a gate hinge.
