Abstract
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTIONThe present invention relates to a phytotherapeutic composition for preventing and treating cardiovascular diseases. The composition comprises standardized plant extracts, bioactive compounds and pharmaceutically acceptable carriers which synergistically contribute to cardiovascular health. The composition uses a combination of natural plant extracts, bioactive compounds and pharmaceutically acceptable carriers that act synergetically to improve cardiovascular function, regulate lipid metabolism, improve endothelium health and alleviate oxidative stress. This invention is of particular importance to persons at risk for cardiovascular diseases who seek an alternative to synthetic drugs with possible side effects. The formulation also focuses on improving bioavailability by advanced methods of administration such as nanoemulsion or liposomal encapsulation to ensure optimum therapeutic efficacy.More particularly, the present invention relates to the composition of phytotherapeutic compounds for treating cardiovascular diseases.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONThe article treated in the background section should not be considered to be prior art solely because of its mention in the background section. Likewise, it should not be assumed that a problem mentioned in the background section or associated with the subject matter of the background section has already been recognized in the prior art. The subject matter of the background section merely represents various approaches, which may likewise be inventions per se.Cardiovascular diseases are still the major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide and contribute to a considerable burden on public health. These diseases are due to several factors including poor nutrition, lack of exercise, genetic predisposition and oxidative stress. Conventional treatment of cardiovascular diseases comprises primarily the use of drugs such as statins, beta blockers, anticoagulants and blood pressure genes. These treatments, while effective, often risk undesirable effects such as liver toxicity, muscle damage, gastrointestinal discomfort, and increased bleeding propensity. In response to these concerns, interest in plant therapies that offer cardioprotective advantages with minimal side effects is growing. Several bioactive plant materials such as flavonoids, polyphenols, terpenoids and essential fatty acids have been studied in detail for their ability to improve cardiovascular health. These compounds exert several positive effects including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, vasodilating, lipid lowering and antihypertensive effects.Despite the known advantages of individual plant extracts, the lack of standardized formulations has restricted their therapeutic application. The present invention overcomes this challenge by developing a novel phytotherapeutic composition that combines carefully selected plant extracts in precise proportions to maximize synergistic effects. Standardization of the bioactive compounds ensures consistent effectiveness, while innovative formulation techniques improve bioavailability and targeted delivery of these bioactive agents. This composition offers a scientifically validated, natural approach for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases without the risks associated with synthetic drugs.SUMMARYBefore describing the present systems and methods, it should be appreciated that this application is not limited to the described systems and methods, as there may be several possible embodiments that are not expressly depicted in the present disclosure.
