Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a draft protection for tilting windows.Tilting windows are a popular ventilation solution in many buildings because they allow some degree of air circulation. In particular, in residential, office and industrial buildings, they are frequently used to let in fresh air and at the same time protect against direct rain or wind.A tilting window is usually a window construction in which a window sash, also referred to as a tilting sash, cannot be opened or not only completely opened, but can also remain in a tilted state. This is usually done by rotating the sash about a horizontal axis, allowing ventilation without fully opening the window. The construction offers additional advantages such as increased protection against intrusion, effective ventilation while simultaneously maintaining safety and limited penetration of wind and rain. Tilting windows usually consist of a fixed window frame and a movable tilting sash mounted thereon, which is controlled by special fittings. The inventor has realised that a disadvantage of these known solutions is that the ventilation can be controlled to a limited extent. Usually only two defined positions are provided. A fully closed position and a fully tilted tilted position. Intermediate positions are usually not provided. It is conceivable to modify a fitting in such a way that the tilting window could also be locked in intermediate positions. However, this would be associated with great effort. In particular in the case of inventory windows, fittings cannot be easily exchanged. The inventor has recognized that a further disadvantage of known tilting windows can consist in that draft air can penetrate in an undesired height range, for example at face height. This problem would still exist even in the case of covers with intermediate positions.Against this background, the object of the present invention is to further improve the ventilation with tilting windows. In particular, it would be desirable to be able to adjust the ventilation later to the requirements of the user even in the case of inventory windows.According to one aspect of the present invention, a traction air protection for a tilt window having a tilt sash and a window frame is provided, comprising:a main rail configured to be attached to a vertical tilt vane segment,a cover, in particular a flexible cover, which is arranged (at least partially) along the main strip and is configured to at least partially cover a lateral opening gap, which narrows in the vertical direction from top to bottom, between the tilt leaf and the window frame in the open position of the tilt leaf, anda fastening means configured to fasten the cover to a vertical window frame segment. The invention is based on the idea of providing a device which effectively covers the lateral gap of a tilted window in order to reduce unwanted draft air, while offering simple handling and fits in the appearance of the window in an imperceptible manner. In addition, the draft protection should be able to be flexibly adapted to different window sizes and tilting positions. Moreover, the solution is intended to ensure a stable fastening without restricting the mobility of the window or impairing its function. In addition, it should be durable, low-maintenance and simple to install and disassemble. In particular, the draft protection is configured to be provided later in inventory windows as well.According to the invention, the draft protection has a main strip which can be fastened to a vertical tilt leaf segment of a tilt leaf, for example by screwing or adhesive bonding or a releasable temporary fastening. The main strip has an elongated shape, in particular with a greater width compared to the depth. The main strip can have a profile with a first longitudinal section and a second longitudinal section, which can be arranged next to one another along a longitudinal axis. The first longitudinal portion may be configured to be attached to the vertical tilt vane segment. A cover for covering the opening gap between the rocker panel and the window frame may be fixed to the second longitudinal portion. When the draft shield is fastened to the tilt leaf, the first longitudinal section can overlap the tilt leaf, and the second longitudinal section with the cover can protrude beyond a lateral edge of the tilt leaf. The draft shield may further include a fixture configured to attach the main rail to the vertical rocker segment. In other words, the fixing can be a further fastening means which serves for fastening the main strip to the vertical tilt leaf segment. The fixing can be formed in one piece or in multiple parts. The fixing can be arranged on the first longitudinal section. The fixing can be designed, for example, as a clip mechanism, mechanical element, adhesive fastening or suction mechanism. If the circumstances of the tilt leaf permit, the fixing can be designed to be magnetic, by means of hook and loop fastening, latching or rail-guided. The fixing can optionally be designed as a releasable fixing for the releasable fixing of the main strip to the vertical tilt leaf segment. The fixing has the advantage that the removal of the draft shield from the tilting window is possible without any complications and no screwing or adhesive bonding of the main strip is necessary. The main strip can be formed in one piece or in multiple pieces. In particular, the main strip can have at least two separate elements in the longitudinal direction. In a multi-part construction, the main strip can thus have interruptions, which can be bridged by hinges or comparable connecting elements, for example. The cover may have corresponding interruptions in the main strip interruptions. In a multi-part construction of the main strip, transitions between adjacent sections can be produced, for example, by dovetail connections. An advantage of a multi-part main strip can be that a length of the main strip can be flexibly adapted to different window sizes by combining different sections. In an advantageous embodiment, the main strip can be formed in multiple parts, wherein the cover, on the other hand, is formed to bridge gaps between sections of the main strip. In particular, the (flexible) cover can be formed in one piece despite the multi-part configuration of the (strip) main strip. For example, the cover can extend in one piece over a length of the vertical tilt vane segment to be covered. However, it may be sufficient if the main strip is divided into a plurality of sections and sections of the main strip extend only over a part of the length. The cover can be flexible and the sections of the main strip can be fixed. An advantage of this solution can be that the draft protection can be folded together for transport and thus a packaging size for the draft protection can be reduced. This facilitates shipping and logistics. The material of the main strip may be plastic (e.g. PVC, ABS or polypropylene), wood, metal, non-ferrous metal (e.g. aluminum), fiber composites, rubber, silicone or a combination thereof. An advantage of this embodiment can be a simple and cost-effective manufacture. The main strip can be formed along its width either straight or with a curvature in the direction of the intended mounting direction. The curvature can be designed such that it extends towards at least the edge which, during the fastening, abuts on the tilt leaf, whereby an advantageous adaptation to the mounting surface is made possible. The cover of the draft shield is arranged at least partially along the main strip in the longitudinal direction. The cover can be fastened to the main strip, for example, by adhesive bonding, clamping or the like. It can have, for example, a fabric piece, a pleated pleat, a honeycomb pleat or a lamella pleat. If the cover is a pleated pleat, for example, it can be attached to the main strip at a first pleat and to a fastening means, in particular the fastening means for fastening the cover to the vertical window frame segment, at a last pleat. The fastening means can thus be configured to fasten the cover, for example, at the last fold on the window frame or a vertical window frame segment. As a result, when the window sash is closed, the cover can have a folded shape and, when the window sash is open, an at least partially unfolded shape, in which it at least partially covers a lateral opening gap, which narrows from top to bottom, between the tilt sash and a window frame. The fastening means for fastening the cover to the vertical window frame segment can be a single elongate fastening means or a plurality of fastening means which are arranged at distances from one another. The fastening means can be designed as a clip mechanism, mechanical element, adhesive fastening or suction mechanism, like the fastening. If it allows the nature of the window frame or if the window frame additionally has a counter-fastening means, the fastening means can be designed to be magnetic, hook and loop, latching or rail-guided. In order to increase the stability of the cover, the fastening means may further comprise a stabilizing strip which may be fastened to the cover at a first surface, for example by gluing, clamping or the like, or to the last fold in the case of pleated splices. On a second surface, the stabilizing strip can have a fastening of the fastening means, by means of which it can be fastened to the vertical window frame segment. The stabilizing strip can be constructed in one piece or in multiple pieces, like the main strip. The stabilizing strip can comprise, for example, plastic (e.g. PVC, ABS or polypropylene), wood, metal, non-ferrous metal (e.g. aluminum), fiber composites, rubber, silicone or a combination thereof. In a preferred embodiment, it is provided that the draft protection or a profile of the main strip further comprises a central strip, wherein the central strip extends along the longitudinal axis of the main strip and is arranged orthogonally to the first and / or second longitudinal section. The central strip can be arranged on a surface of the main strip facing the window frame. The central strip can be configured to abut a side surface of the vertical tilt vane segment. The central strip is provided to stabilize the main strip on the vertical tilt leaf segment. The central strip can separate the first longitudinal section from the second longitudinal section of the main strip. It can be arranged, for example, centrally, so that both longitudinal sections are of equal width, or it can be offset towards one of the side edges, so that one of the two longitudinal sections is wider than the other. The additional central strip can provide increased stability, support the exact positioning and / or facilitate the correct assembly of the draft protection system. In a further embodiment, the profile of the main strip can have a step in a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis. For example, the first longitudinal section can be arranged offset in a height direction with respect to the second longitudinal section. During the mounting on the tilt panel, the first longitudinal section can abut against the latter and the second longitudinal section can be arranged offset thereto in the height direction. For example, the second longitudinal portion may be elevated to provide space for receiving the cover in a collapsed form. This ensures that when the tilt panel is closed there is sufficient space for the cover in its folded form. Further advantages may be that the offset arrangement allows better adaptation to different window geometries, which may improve the sealing and allow more flexible integration into different window designs. In a further embodiment, the profile of the main strip can further have a cover strip at an outer edge of the second longitudinal section. This can be configured to conceal the cover in the closed position of the tilting window, in particular to emerge from a lateral direction. As a result, the cover is protected from environmental influences when the window is closed. The cover strip can also serve as a visual protection on the cover and / or on the fastening means for fastening the cover to the vertical window frame segment. Moreover, the cover strip may be provided with a centrally located or more distributed pivotable hooks which serve to maintain the cover in its folded form when the window is not to be tilted but is to be fully opened. This has the advantage that the draft shield does not need to be removed to open the window normally and that the cover is further protected from deformation, bending and dirt.In one embodiment, the profile of the main strip can be L-shaped in a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis. In particular, the first and second longitudinal sections can be oriented orthogonally to one another. In this case, the two longitudinal sections are at right angles or almost at right angles to one another. The first longitudinal section can be fastened to the tilt leaf on the side facing away from the angle, while the cover can be arranged on the side of the second longitudinal section facing towards the angle. This has the advantage of minimal material consumption with maximum stability. A further advantage can be that the assembly can be facilitated. For example, an L-shaped profile can be used flexibly at different frame thicknesses due to the lateral fastening. Furthermore, this embodiment also enables the installation of the draft protection with grip elements attached near the edge.As already explained above, the draft protection can, in addition to the (first) fastening means which is configured to fasten the cover to a vertical window frame segment, also have a fixing which is configured to fasten the main strip to the vertical tilt sash segment. The fixing can also be referred to as a further or second fastening means. As already stated above, the cover can have a fabric piece, pleated splices, honeycomb splices or laminated splices. As a result, the draft protection can be adapted visually and functionally to different design, wind load and / or insulation requirements. Depending on the choice of material, additional properties such as improved thermal insulation or variable light transmission can be achieved. A fabric piece can be understood to mean a material manufactured from textile. A pleated pleat may be understood to mean a pleat variant in which the fabric is arranged in regular pleats. A honeycomb pleat can be understood to mean a pleat with a honeycomb structure. A honeycomb tile may provide additional insulation and / or increased mechanical stability under wind load. A lamella pleat can be understood to mean a pleat variant with overlapping lamellae. As a result, draft air can be reduced advantageously, but a certain air exchange is still made possible. As already explained above, the fastening means can be configured to fasten the cover to the vertical tilt leaf segment magnetically, by means of Velcro, mechanically, adhesively, absorbent, latching and / or rail-guided. It is understood that combinations of different fastening means are also conceivable. As already explained above, the main strip can be formed in multiple parts. In particular, the main strip can have at least two separate elements in the longitudinal direction. In a further embodiment, the main strip can have a recess. The recess can be provided on an upper side of the tilt leaf segment, on which, for example, a window handle is arranged. The recess can be formed in such a way that it receives or leaves out the window handle of the tilting window. In the case of tilting windows in which the window handle is arranged close to the tilting window edge, the recess ensures optimum adaptation of the draft protection to the respective tilting window. Alternatively or additionally, one or more recesses for other elements can be provided. For example, a recess can be formed in such a way that it accommodates or omits, for example, window hinges on a vertical tilting sash segment opposite the window handle. It is understood that one or more recesses may be provided at different locations of the main strip. For example, a recess of the central strip can also be provided. By means of such special recesses, a harmonic integration of the draft protection into the overall design of the window can be achieved without impairing the operability of the window. This contributes to an ergonomic and functional solution. In a further embodiment, the main strip can be designed to be fixed in a clamping manner to the side edge of the vertical section of the tilt leaf. This can be achieved, for example, by a clamping web arranged perpendicular to the central strip parallel to the first longitudinal section for receiving the window edge. This has the advantage that no fixing or other mounting of the draft protection is necessary.Preferably, a counter fastening means can be provided which is configured to be arranged on the vertical window frame segment. This can be configured to fasten the cover to the window frame together with the fastening means. As already the fixing and the fastening means, the counter fastening means can also be configured to fasten the cover (with the fastening means) to the vertical window frame segment magnetically, ferromagnetically, by means of Velcro, mechanically, adhesively, absorbent, latching and / or rail-guided. If, for example, the fastening means is magnetic, the counter fastening means can be ferromagnetic (e.g. steel strip) or magnetic with opposite poles. A similar principle can also be applied to a hook and loop fastener, in which the interacting hook and loop tapes can be the fastening means and the counter fastening means. This facilitates on the one hand the installation of the draft protection device and on the other hand the dismantling and thus makes possible a flexible use of the invention. The combination of fastening and counter fastening means can provide a particularly secure and gapless connection of the cover, which can lead to an improved stability of the entire system and / or to an improved protection against drafts.Exemplary embodiments of the invention are illustrated in the following drawings and are explained in more detail in the following description: FIG. 1 shows a schematic illustration of a traction air protection on an open tilting window; FIG. 2 shows a schematic perspective illustration of a main strip and a cross section of a first embodiment of the draft shield; FIG. 3 shows a cross section of a first embodiment of a cover and a schematic illustration of the cover at the opened tilting window; FIG. 4 shows a schematic illustration of a cross section of a second embodiment of a cover and a schematic illustration of the cover on the opened tilting window; FIG. 5 shows a schematic illustration of a cross section of a third embodiment of a cover and a schematic illustration of the cover on the opened tilting window; FIG. 6 shows a schematic illustration of a cross section of a fourth embodiment of the cover and a schematic illustration of the cover on the opened tilting window; FIG. 7 shows a schematic perspective illustration of the main strip and a cross section of a second embodiment of the draft shield; FIG. 8 shows a schematic perspective illustration of the main strip and a cross section of a third embodiment of the draft shield; FIG. 9 shows a schematic perspective illustration of the main strip and a cross section of a fourth embodiment of the draft shield; FIG. 10 shows a cross section of a fifth embodiment of the draft shield; FIG. 11 shows a cross section of a sixth embodiment of the draft shield; and FIG. 12 shows a schematic illustration of the draft shield with counter-fastening means on the opened tilting window.FIG. 1 shows a schematic illustration of a draft protection device 1 on a tilted window or a tilting window 100 opened in the tilted position. The tilt window 100 comprises a window frame 120 with a vertical window frame segment 121 and a tilt sash 110 with a vertical tilt sash segment 111. It is understood that the window frame may include left and right vertical window frame segments. Likewise, the tilt vane may have a corresponding left and right vertical tilt vane segment. In the open position of the window, an opening gap 130 is formed between the window frame 120 and the tilt leaf 110 on both sides, said opening gap tapering from top to bottom. This opening gap 130 can lead to undesired drawing air on one or both sides. The draft shield 1 comprises a main rail 10 adapted to be attached to the vertical rocker segment 111. Furthermore, the draft protection 10 comprises a cover 20, in particular a flexible cover, which in this embodiment is designed as a laminated pleat. The cover 20 is arranged along the main strip 10 and is configured to at least partially cover a lateral opening gap 130, which extends in the vertical direction and narrows from top to bottom, between the tilt leaf 110 and the window frame 120 in the open position of the tilt leaf 110. The draft shield further includes a fastener 30 configured to attach the cover 20 to the vertical window frame segment 121. The fastening means thus adjoins the cover 20 and secures the latter to the vertical window frame segment 121. As a result, when the tilting window 100 is open, the cover 20 assumes a deployed shape, by means of which it at least partially covers the opening gap 130. This prevents the entry of draft air. It is understood that the draft protection 1 can also be attached to the gap opposite the handle or can be provided on both sides of the tilting window. In the example shown in FIG. 1, an optional recess 11 for the window grip of the tilt leaf 110 is provided in the main strip. The recess 11 is advantageous in this type of tilting window, since a region between the window grip and the edge of the vertical tilting sash segment 111 is too narrow for the width of the main strip 10. In other tilting window designs, this recess 11 can be omitted if necessary. However, it is also possible to configure the main strip 10 in multiple parts, for example with a first section above the window handle and a second section below the window handle. The cover may nevertheless extend over both portions and also over a region therebetween.FIG. 2 shows a cross section of a first embodiment of the draft shield 1 in the upper region and a schematic perspective illustration of the main strip 10 of this embodiment in the lower region. The main strip 10 has a profile with a first longitudinal section 10 aand a second longitudinal section 10 b, which are arranged next to one another along a longitudinal axis A. Optionally, the profile can also have a central strip 12. The central strip extends along the longitudinal axis A. The central strip 12 is preferably arranged orthogonally between the two longitudinal sections 10 a, 10 b. The first longitudinal section 10 ais configured to be fastened to the vertical tilt leaf segment 111 and uses a fixation 40 for this purpose in this embodiment. This fixation 40 can be formed magnetically, by means of Velcro, mechanically, adhesively, sucking, latching and / or rail-guided and can optionally interact with a counter element on the tilt leaf segment 111. On the second longitudinal portion 10b is arranged the cover 20, which is shown here in its folded form with fastening means 20.FIGS. 3 to 6 show schematic representations of various embodiments of the cover 20 on the opened tilting window 100 and a cross section of the respective embodiment. All the figures show the same main strip 10 and the same fastening means 30, but the configuration of the cover 20 differs. In FIG. 3, the cover 20 is realized by a fabric piece, wherein this can be made both of natural materials and of plastic or a mixture thereof. The advantage of this solution lies in the simple acquisition and production. In FIG. 4, the cover 20 is realized by a pleated pleat which can assume a unfolded shape when the rocker window is opened and a pleated shape when the rocker window is closed, and also returns to the same positions repeatedly. This has the advantage that the pleated pleat is able to be covered by the main strip in folded form and there is no risk of jamming by the tilting window. This is advantageous for the sealing effect when the window is closed. In addition, a "flutter" in the case of draft air can be avoided compared to a simple piece of fabric. In FIG. 5, the cover 20 is formed by a honeycomb pleat. The honeycomb pleat has a plurality of pleated fabric layers which are joined together such that honeycomb cavities are formed between them. These cavities serve as insulating air chambers which improve both the thermal and acoustic insulation properties. Due to this special structure, the pleat remains dimensionally stable and can nevertheless be folded together flexibly. An important advantage of a honeycomb pleat in use as a cover 20 is, in addition to the improved thermal insulation, an improved mechanical stability even at higher wind loads. In FIG. 6, the cover 20 is designed as a slat pluse or slat blind. The lamella pleat consists of a plurality of narrow lamellae which are connected to one another by lateral guides or strings. In folded form, the slats are stacked one above the other in a space-saving manner, so that they take up only little space. In unfolded form, the slats are fully spread out and form a contiguous surface. The space-saving construction is advantageous with high stability.FIG. 7 shows a cross section of a second embodiment of the draft shield 1 in the upper region and a schematic perspective illustration of the main strip 10 of this embodiment in the lower region. The dashed line in this illustration indicates the course of the main strip 10, which in this embodiment has a gradation. As a result, the second longitudinal section 10 bis offset with respect to the first longitudinal section 10 a. When the first longitudinal section 10 ais fastened to the tilt leaf 110 by the fixing 40, sufficient space is thereby available for the cover 20 and the fastening means 30 even with a small depth of the tilt leaf 110 even when the tilt window 100 is closed. It is understood that the central web 12 is optional and its depth can be adapted to the respective window.FIG. 8 shows a cross section of a third embodiment of the draft shield 1 in the upper region and a schematic perspective illustration of the main strip 10 of this embodiment in the lower region. The main strip 10 is formed along its width with a curvature in the direction of the intended mounting direction. In this embodiment, the central strip 12 is optionally arranged not centrally but laterally offset, whereby the first longitudinal section 10 ais somewhat narrower than the second longitudinal section 10 b. In this embodiment, the fastening means 30 comprises a fastening 31 and a stabilizing strip 32. the stabilizing strip 32 is fastened to the cover 20 and to the fastening 31, for example by gluing, stapling or the like. The additional stabilizing strip can be useful in particular when a releasable fastening is provided on the window frame, such as in the case of a hook-and-loop connection, for example. The stabilizing strip can provide additional stability, for example to avoid tearing a pleat.FIG. 9 shows a cross section of a fourth embodiment of the draft shield 1 in the upper region and a schematic perspective illustration of the main strip 10 of this embodiment in the lower region. The main strip 10 is L-shaped along the longitudinal axis A, as a result of which the two longitudinal sections 10 a, 10 bare at right angles to one another. The first longitudinal section 10a has, on the side facing away from the angle, the fixing 40, by means of which it can be fastened to the tilt leaf 110. On the angle-inclined side of the second longitudinal portion 10 b, the cover 20 is arranged with the fastening means 30.FIG. 10 shows a cross section of a fifth embodiment of the draft shield 1, which further comprises a cover strip 13 arranged at right angles at the edge of the second longitudinal section 10 b. The draft protection 1 with the cover strip 13 can, in the folded form of the cover 20 shown here, conceal the latter laterally and offer additional protection and stability.FIG. 11 shows a cross section of a sixth embodiment of the draft shield 1, wherein a clamping web 14 is furthermore arranged on the edge of the central strip 12 facing away from the main strip 10, which clamping web runs parallel to the first longitudinal section 10 a. The draft protection 1, in particular without further fixing 40, can thus be fastened to the vertical tilt leaf segment 111 by clamping action.FIG. 12 shows a schematic illustration of the draft shield 1 with the counter-fastening means 50 on the opened tilting window 100. This, together with the fastening means 30, not shown here, secures the cover 20 to the vertical window frame segment 121. In this embodiment, it is also shown by way of example that the main strip 10 can be formed in multiple parts, wherein the cover 20 bridges the interruption of the main strip 10.In summary, the draft protection provides an effective sealing of the lateral opening gap of a tilted window, whereby draft air is reduced and heat losses are minimized. The combination of the main strip, flexible cover and fastening means ensures a stable and at the same time conformable solution, which ensures simple assembly and reliable functionality.List of reference numbers:1 Draft protection 10 Main strip 10 aFirst longitudinal section 10 bSecond longitudinal section 11 Recess 12 Central strip 13 Cover strip 14 Clamping web 20 Cover 30 Fastening means 40 Fixing 50 Counter fastening means 100 Tilting window 110 Tilting sash 111 Vertical tilting sash segment 120 Window frame 121 Vertical window frame segment 130 Opening gap A Longitudinal axis
